Former Mayor Boyd Park passes away, services Held on Monday

  Boyd Stanzius Park, age 64, passed away on January 27, 1998, in Nephi, Utah.

  He was born December 1, 1933, to Stanzius Passey and Fern Lunt Park in Nephi.
He attended Juab High School where he served as Student Body President and was
active in sports. He married Thearl Wall, June 6, 1952, in Santaquin. They were
sealed in the Manti LDS Temple. His children are: Debbie and Dale Ostler, Becky
and Alan Sperry, Kent and Diane Park, Brent and Angie Park, and Kurds and Jill
Park; and 20 grandchildren.

  Boyd was employed by Painter Motor. In 1974, he went to Brush Wellman in
Delta, recently as Maintenance Foreman. He was a member of the LDS
Church. Boyd was very active in community service. He served as Nephi City Mayor
and City Council member. He was a member of the Nephi City Volunteer Fire
Department, serving as Chief many years. He was a member of the Juab County
Search and Rescue. Boyd also coached many Nephi Little League baseball teams.

  Survivors also include brothers and sisters, Kenneth Park, Denae Stephenson,
Daphne Park, Melba Jensen, and Neil Park. He was preceded in death by parents,
sister Sharon Smith, and grandson, Brett Park Sperry.

  Funeral services were held Monday, February 2, 1998, at the Second Ward LDS
Church. Burial in Nephi City Cemetery Nephi, Utah.
