Br. Bennett was born at Connah's Quay, Flintshire, North Wales; joined the Church in 1849, and emigrated from his native country in 1863. He was respected and beloved by all who knew him, so much so that the people of the settlement turned out en masse at his funeral to pay their last tribute of respect to their departed friend and brother.
