CARLING, of heart disease. Born Aug. 9, 1845, in Nauvoo, Hancock Co., Illinois. Emigrated with his parents to Winter Quarters in 1846. Shortly after, they moved to Pottawatamie, where they resided until the spring of 1852, when they emigrated to Utah. Resided at Provo until the autumn of 1853, when with his parents he moved to Fillmore, his father having been called on a mission to this place. Brother Carling was a faithful Saint to the day of his death, and with his parents suffered persecution for the gospel of Jesus Christ. His loss is deeply regretted by his family and numerous friends.
