GEORGE -- Howard Almon Robison, was born September 4, 1916 in Fillmore, Utah to Proctor Hancock Robison and Matilda May Felt Robison. A peaceful and gentle man, he left this life on November 10, 2003 due to causes consistent with age. Howard spent his youth in the outdoors around Ibapah, Utah. He graduated from Millard High School in Fillmore, Utah. He enjoyed his career as a Master Mechanic in Long Beach, California. He owned and operated Robison Oil Service/ Howard's Automotive. He loved the challenge of making things work properly and solving problems. Howard loved to camp and fish. He spent as much time as he could in the mountains. He especially loved Fish Creek near Richfield, Utah. Howard was a devoted husband. He married Florence Brinkerhoff on December 19, 1941 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. That eternal union is 61 years and counting. He was active in the LDS Church, serving in many capacities and positions including serving six stake missions. He touched many lives. Howard was preceded in death by his parents, his two brothers, Felt Robison and Reid Trimble, and by two infant daughters. He is survived by his wife Florence, his son David (Maureen) Robison and daughter Robin Elaine (Goran) Grguric. He is also survived by his sister, Mary Gean Edwards. His grandchildren are Deana (Gary) Davis, Cory (Lyn) Robison, Danielle Robison and Kyle Robison. Great grandchildren; Adeline, Calder and Gavin Davis. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 14, 2003 at 11 a.m., at Metcalf Mortuary Chapel, 288 W. St. George Blvd. A visitation will be held Thursday, November 13, from 6-8 p.m., at Metcalf Mortuary and Friday, November 14, from 9:30-10:30 a.m., prior to services at the mortuary.
