She was the fourth of 12 children born to Joseph and Elizabeth Arvilla Walch Carling April 23, 1902, in Fillmore, UT. Reading and education were always important to her and her family. She decided to become a teacher and was educated at Brigham Young University, University of Utah and Utah State University. She was a dedicated school teacher in Lynndyl, Delta, Fillmore, Bingham, and Sandy, UT. She married Wilford John "Bill" Anderson in Salt Lake City July 1, 1930; marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Their first date was to a dance. "Daddy" passed away June 12, 1966. After 37 years, they are dancing together once again. She served in many callings in the LDS Church, Relief Society presidency, Sunday School and Primary teacher, and she was a visiting teacher until age 90. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, the Provo Ladies Literary Club, and Fidelity Club, Delta. She was an accomplished seamstress, enjoyed quilting, crafts and gardening. She baked the best applesauce cookies in the world. She is survived by her daughters, Sharen (Neil) Bullock, Provo, Dalene Anderson, Provo; sister, Glenys Carling Peterson, Richfield; grandchildren, Vickie (Ken) Cozzens, Mike (Melynda) Bullock; and great-grandchildren, Chase, Cambrie Cozzens, Brittnie, Spencer, Cassidy Bullock. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilford John "Bill" Anderson; son, Duane Wilford Anderson; parents, Joseph and Arvilla Carling; sisters, Prudence Carling Robinson, Verl Carling Lynch, Elva Carling Abraham, Noma Arvilla Carling Cahoon, Anna LaRue Carling, Remola Carling Parduhn, Phyllis Carling Nixon; and brothers, Joseph Leland Carling, Dwain Spencer Carling, Ralph Walch Carling. The family would like to give a special thanks to the caring friends from Harmony Hospice and Horizon Home Health for their dedicated service. Services, Mon. Aug 25, 11 a.m. Provo LDS 8th Ward Chapel, 502 E. 200 N. Friends may call Sun. 6:30-8 p.m. Berg Mortuary, 185 E. Center St and Mon. 10-10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, Fillmore City Cemetery.
