Ruth was born January 12, 1922 in Sutherland, Utah to George R. and Rhoda Jackson and graduated from Delta High School and Seminary. She attended Brigham Young University and during World War II worked at the Ogden Arsenal. While living in Ogden, she met her future husband. She married Robert W. Anderson on April 24, 1946 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They settled in Ogden, Utah where they lived 56 years, then moved to American Fork, Utah in 2002. Ruth worked at Weber State University as the secretary to the Nursing Department for 29 years, retiring in 1984. She was active in the LDS Church, serving in the Primary, Relief Society, and Young Women's Organizations. The loves of Ruth's life were her children and grandchildren; to have her great-grandchildren visit was the highlight of her day. She was a very loving and caring person who devoted her time to her family and friends. Ruth is survived by her husband of American Fork, her two children: R. Brent (Camille) Anderson, Highland, UT; and Janet (Morgan) Parry, Las Vegas, NV. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, six great-grand-children and brother Lloyd Jackson, Moses Lake, WA. Ruth was preceded in death by a great-grand-daughter, Maeve McNeal, brothers: Bernard and Russell Jackson and sisters: Laverna Jackson, Lucy Egan, Della Johnson, Maxene Owens, and Shirley Austin. Funeral Services will be held Sat., July 12th at 11 a.m. in the American Fork 7th Ward Chapel 700 West 500 North. A viewing will be held Fri. from 6 to 8 p.m. at Anderson & Sons Mortuary 49 E. 100 North American Fork and Saturday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, American Fork City Cemetery.
