Will be remembered for positive attitude throughout many trials and years of suffering. Born June 25, 1929, Wendell, Idaho, first child of Vernon J. and Lula Rigby Larsen. Married Blaine H. Christensen June 3, 1961, Manti Temple. They celebrated 42 years of marriage together. Early years spent living various places due to father's work as government surveyor. Graduated high school in Harlem, Montana. Served LDS Spanish/American speaking mission in Corpus Christi, Texas - June 1951 to June 1953. Attended Utah State University and acquired a teaching degree. Taught 35 years, retiring 1992. Remembered for life-long love for learning and teaching and the many lives she touched. Active, faithful member of LDS church. Held various callings throughout life. Earned three Eagle Scout awards. Served two missions vicariously through sons. Her Children and grandchildren were her pride and joy. Led exemplary life for her children and grandchildren to follow. Had great love for family history and dedicated many hours to genealogy and family newsletters. Member of the DUP and was instrumental in helping write and publish several books. Survived by loving husband, Blaine; four children: Linda Hiatt, Nephi; Clarke (Monica), Oak City; Vernon (Athena), Phoenix, AZ; John (Vicki), Oak City; two sisters: Shirley (Lynn) Nielson, Manti; Diane (Vance) Hendricks, Rexburg, ID. Also special grandma to 17 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Preceded in death by Brother, Rigby, and one grandson, Jacob Hiatt. Funeral services Monday, September 15, 2003, at 11 a.m. at Oak City chapel. Friends call Sunday 7-8 p.m. at Nickle Mortuary, 190 S. Center St., Delta, Utah and at church Monday 9:30-10:40 a.m. Burial Oak City Cemetery. Published in the Salt Lake Tribune on 9/13/2003.
