Dekker 1911 ~ 2003 Our loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Veva R. Dekker, age 92, passed away November 20, 2003 in West Valley City, Utah. Born April 5, 1911 in Oasis, Utah, daughter of James Stanley and Sophia Harder Robison. She married Alef Reindert Dekker on May 4, 1932 in Delta, UT; later sealed in the Manti LDS Temple. He preceded her in death in 1944. Veva was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved her family. Veva is survived by her daughter, Dona Mae (Donovan) DeYarmon, Kelso, WA; and son, Richard (Linda) Dekker, West Valley City; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and brother, DeMar Robison. She was preceded in death by her husband; and sisters, Arlene Falkenburg, Nina Weber, Jessie Fisher. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 10 a.m., at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, where friends may call Tuesday, 5-6:30 p.m., and Wednesday, 9-9:45 a.m. Interment will follow in the Delta City Cemetery at 3 p.m. Published in the Salt Lake Tribune on 11/23/2003.
