She was born June 4, 1929 to Lynn L. Carter and Gyppe Scottorn. She married Don E. Iverson on Nov 16, 1947 in Fillmore, UT. They were sealed in the St. George Temple Aug 3, 1996. Pat Graduated from Juab High School and attended one year at LDS Business College. She worked for the U.S. Forest Service in Fillmore for 32 years, and in 1971, she was awarded the Federal Executives Association of Utah Distinguished Service Award for her work. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many positions. She especially loved teaching dance to the youth of the church and was well known for her dancing. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and president for many years. She was a member of the Fillmore Planning Commission, the Fine Arts Guild, and the Garden Club. She and Don won The State Beautification Award for her beautiful yard. She loved planting and caring for her flowers. Pat will be missed by all who knew and loved her, especially the "tea gang." She is survived by her husband, Fillmore; son, John (Barbara) Iverson, Fillmore; daughter, Michelle (Mark) Carter, St. George; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers and sister, Tim (Vera) Carter, Snowflake, AZ, Ann (Doyle) Coombs, Jim (Myda) Carter, Nephi, UT; many nieces and nephews who loved their Aunt Patsy. Preceded in death by brother, Jack (Loa) Carter, Nephi. Funeral will be Mon. Nov 10, 2003, 12 noon Fillmore 3rd Ward Chapel. Friends may call Sun. 6:30-8 p.m. at the stake center and Mon. 10:30-11:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Fillmore City Cemetery. Directors, Magleby-Rasmussen Mortuary.
