She was born August 24, 1938 in Abraham, Utah to Armon M. "Dude" and Ovena Grace Jensen Hampton. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She attended schools in American Fork, and while still in High School, she met the love of her life and her soul mate of 47 years, Jerry Ned Kofford. They were married on October 19, 1955, while he was home on leave from the Army for the annual deer hunt. Kay loved antiques of all kinds and her passion rubbed off on many of her family members and friends. She took great pride in her purse collection and also her unique glass baskets. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandkids. She and Jerry spent a lot of time the last few years traveling in their motor home. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Ned Kofford, of Highland; her children, Pamela K. (Rock Ace) Woodward, Kevin J. (Evlyne) Kofford and Kory N. (Robyn) Kofford all of Pleasant Grove; her eight grandchildren, Kristin (Mauricio) Quinteros, Spanish Fork; Jerica (Jason) McKenzie, Heber City; Utahna (Tahnie) and Sierra Woodward, Kylie and Kaden Kofford, Tahsha and Kenley Kofford all of Pleasant Grove; and her three special great-grandsons, Korbin, Tanner and Kache. She is also survived by her three brothers and two sisters, Merlin (Norma) Hampton, Doreen (Jack) Doyle, of American Fork; LaMae (Gary) Bennett, Pleasant Grove; Michael (Carolyn) Hampton and Ronald (Diane) Hampton of California; also, sisters-in-law, Shirley, Leora and Melba Hampton. Aunt Kay will be missed by her many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 18, 2003 at Anderson & Sons Mortuary (49 East 100 North, American Fork). A viewing will be held Sunday evening from 6 to 8 at the Mortuary and Monday one hour prior to services. Interment will be at the American Fork City Cemetery.
