Born November 27, 1924 in Hinckley, UT, the tenth child of Hugh and Chloe Black Hilton. Beth married LaRoy "Bud" Ross in Ely, NV on December 21, 1944. They later settled in White Pine County where they raised four children. She is survived by her husband: Bud; son: Mel of Salt Lake City; daughters: Beverly (Keith) Vierling of Lake Elsinore, CA; Debra (Lyle) Norcross of Ely; Brenda (Joe) Zigich of Salt Lake City; Also survived by grandsons: Gabe and Nathan Ross of Reno; Jason (Sonja), Eric and Andy Vierling of Lake Elsinore; Cameron (Jennifer) Norcross of Reno; Casey Norcross of Ely; granddaughters: Chelsea Norcross of Ely; Baylie Zigich of Salt Lake City; great-granddaughter: Kyriana Vierling of Lake Elsinore; sisters: Birdie Lou (Darrell) Allred of Salt Lake City; Margene (Verl) Jensen, Highland, Utah; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, infant son: James Hugh Ross; granddaughter: Courtney Beth Norcross and three brothers and eight sisters. Beth loved her family and was looking forward to the impending birth of two great grandchildren. She worked for Kennecott Copper Corporation and the Bureau of Land Management, retiring in 1987. Beth was a descendant of Mormon pioneers and a strong and independent woman. She raised her children with love to be independent and self-sufficient, and was proud of all of them. She dedicated her life to her family and was very devoted to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held on Friday July 11, 2003, 11 a.m. at the Delta Cemetery under the direction of Nickle Mortuary. We love you Mom, and will miss you greatly. Rest in peace.
