Born January 31, 1945 in Fillmore, Utah, daughter of Merlin Hanson and Norma Dewsnup Blake. Married her childhood sweetheart and eternal companion, Edward E. Smith, May 4, 1963 in the Manti Temple. Connie loved and is well loved by her family. She enjoyed painting, stitching and found joy in faithful service in church callings and was devoted to the gospel. Survived by husband, Edward; children, Leslie Smith, Shawn (Shaundell) Smith, Bryan (Traci) Smith, Jason (Regina) Smith, Laura Smith, Kelly (Allison) Smith; eight grandchildren; sisters, Loa Rose (Reid) Olmstead, MaeJean (Max) Stanworth, Brenda (Calvin) Jones; brother, Glen (Diane) Blake. Preceded in death by parents; daughter, Sheryl Rae House. Funeral services will be held Thur., 11:00 a.m. at the Highland 1st Ward, 10227 S. 4000 W., South Jordan. A viewing will be held Wed., 5-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S. Redwood Rd and Thursday at the church, 9-10:45 a.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
