All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ut/utfiles.htm *********************************************************************** Inez Croft Steed "She Loved Life & Her Family" Inez Croft Steed, beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grand-mother, returned peacefully to Heaven, Nov. 13, 2003. Inez was born Feb. 17, 1912, in Deseret, Utah, to Jacob and Mary Eliason Croft. Inez met her "Best Beau" while they were attending BYU. She married Dean Robert Steed on June 1, 1935. He preceded her in death on May 12, 1985, and was interred in the family plot in Farmington. Inez was always active in work and play. She and Dean enjoyed bowling and attended many sporting events. Inez had the ability to treat people in a very pleasant and remarkable way. This helped her as she worked for J.C. Penney Co. for over 25 years in various management capacities. She taught and enjoyed primary and Sunday school and was a counselor in Relief Society. She was a dedicated visiting teacher for over 50 years. She belonged to the B.P.W., D.A.R., and D.U.P. Besides her family and friends, Inez lived for her two favorite pastimes, watching the Jazz and playing cards with the ladies. She is survived by her son Terry Dean (Evelyn); Grandsons Chad (Tiffinee), Jeremy (Sheri); and in her own words her beautiful granddaughter Tara, "I love my little girl"; Great-Grandchildren Anson, Alexa, and Riley; She is also survived by her little brother, Merrill Croft. She is preceded in death by sisters, Lavern, Arvilla, Adlean (Addie) and brothers, Clarence, Calvin, Evan, Leano, and Elmo. Graveside services will be held Monday, November 17, 2003 at 12:00 noon at the Farmington City Cemetery. Funeral directors Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary. Published in the Salt Lake Tribune on 11/15/2003.
