Our precious Mom, wife, grandmother and sister, Ruby Christensen Talbot, peacefully passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2003. Grandma's pain and suffering is finally over. She was lovingly known as "Grandma" by everyone. Grandma was born May 7, 1928, in Lynndyl, Utah to Joseph H. and Edna A. Christensen. She was raised in a large, loving family in Oak City, Utah, and graduated from Delta High. Mom married her eternal companion, Clark Talbot, in the Manti Temple on March 21, 1951. They moved to Magna in 1955 where they raised two beautiful children: Sharon and Elmer. Grandma loved to talk and visit and had many wonderful friends who loved her dearly. She touched the hearts of everyone she met. Mom also loved Disneyland, Hawaii, singing, playing the piano, shopping and driving her "Jazzy". Most of all, she loved her family. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a strong testimony and love for the Gospel and her Savior. Grandma was an avid Utah Jazz fan and for years never missed a game. As a family we find peace and comfort in knowing that Mom has "gone home" where she is free of pain, walking again, and catching up on old times with her family and friends. Mom is survived by her husband of 52 years, Clark; daughter, Sharon; son, Elmer and his wife Lisa; grandchildren, Amanda, Stewart, and Derek; brothers, Merritt (Jackie) Christensen, Joseph (Rose) Christensen; sisters-in-law, Eda Christensen, LaVon Christensen, and Betty Christensen; special grandkids, Mufasa and Gizmo and her Utah Jazz family. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ralph, Glen, and Grant; sisters, Ila, Margaret, and Nola and her special boy, Haun Chung. Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 20th, 11:00 a.m. at the Pleasant Green Third Ward, 8739 West 3000 South, Magna, Utah. Friends and family may call at the ward house on Wednesday, November 19th from 6 8 p.m. and on Thursday from 9:30 10:30 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be at Redwood Memorial Estates.
