Barlow, Mable Foulger
Mable Foulger Barlow "Beloved Mother"  Mable Foulger Barlow passed away Dec
12, 2004 of heart failure at St. Marks Hospital in Salt Lake City, UT.  She
was born March 17, 1917 in Ogden, UT to Heber Charles and Alice Bertha Owens
Foulger. She married her sweetheart, Glen Ririe Barlow, on July 14, 1942 in
the Logan Temple. Mable was an active member of the LDS Church and served in
many callings, including full-time missions to Eastern States, Reunion Island,
and Republic of Congo. She was a wonderful role model and blessed many lives.
She was also a teacher and an artist. She is survived by her husband, Glen;
children, Brant (Marjorie), Mark (Carroll), Garth (Anne), Craig (Joanne),
Maureen (John) Summers, Barbara (Rick) Hickok; 34 wonderful grandchildren; 38
outstanding great-grandchildren; sisters, Athleen Johnson, Winifred Foulger;
sister-in-law, Ruth Foulger; and brother, Clarence Foulger. The family would
like to thank the staff at St. Marks Hospital for their compassionate care.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Dec. 20, 2004 at 12 noon at the Crystal
Heights 1st LDS Ward, 1970 E. Stratford Ave. (2560 So.). Friends may call
Sunday, December 19, 2004 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760
So. State St. and from 10:30-11:45 a.m. at the church on Monday prior to
services. Interment Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.

Bennion, Robert Graham
Robert Graham Bennion 10/4/25 ~ 12/17/04  Ahead of his time, as usual, Bob
Bennion died December 17, 2004. Raised by Ernest and Olive Graham Bennion on
the prairies of Southern Alberta he had a reputation for fast cars, practical
jokes, and generosity of heart. He loved good food, good music, good
literature and food straight from his garden.  Served as a navigator in the
Black Widow Night Fighter Squadron in the South Pacific during World War II.
Served a mission in the Southern States. Met the love of his life, Robin
Winnifred Gray at the University of Utah. Married June 26, 1953 in the Salt
Lake Temple. Their lives were filled with adventures, including world travels
and intellectual pursuits. He was an MBA, Master Gardner, and loved a good
debate. Survived by his wife, Robin; children: Gray, Jane, Kari (Bill Snell),
Rob, Brooke (Brett Jensen) Wood (Nevenka) Kapetan; grandchildren, Jacolby,
Branwynne, Benn, Tad, Taylor, Scotty, Dino, Robert and Tatum; and those who
loved him best: Knude and Shirley Swensen, Bob and Colleen Fink, Joan Olsen,
Ted Hill and their families. The meetings of various clubs    especially Great
Books, will never be the same.  A gathering of family and friends is planned
for Wed, December 22 from 11:00-12:30 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 East
1300 South, with a brief program at 12 noon. Graveside services at the Salt
Lake City Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Goodnight, sweet prince.

Bowcutt, Henry John
Henry J. Bowcutt "1921 ~ 2004"  This day our beloved husband, father and
grandfather returned home to his Heavenly Father.Henry John Bowcutt, 83,
passed away on December 17, 2004. He wasborn July 22, 1921, in Riverside, Utah
to George A. and Pearl Newman Bowcutt. He married Merle Delene Jones on
September 14, 1940, in Malad, Idaho. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake
Temple on June 27th, 1963.  Henry is the ninth of 11 children, survived by his
wife, Delene; two children, Brent (Marilyn) Bowcutt and Geniel (Dale)
Petersen; nine grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; two sisters, Cora and
Annie. He was preceded in death by his parents and eight siblings, Josephine,
Cliff, Vera, George, Florence, Grace, Elaine and Blaine. Henry was a Veteran
of World War II. He served in the Army in both the American and
Asiatic-Pacific Theaters. Henry was a member of the Capitol Hill 1st Ward and
served in various positions. He loved to do temple work and served for many
years as a temple worker.  Viewing will be at Larkin Mortuary, 269 East South
Temple Monday, December 20, 2004, from 6 to 8 p.m. and also at the Capitol
Hill 1st Ward, 413 West Capitol Blvd, Tuesday, December 21, 2004, from 10:45
to 11:45 a.m. prior to the 12:00 p.m. funeral services. Interment: Salt Lake

Bowles, Earl Ray
Earl Ray Bowles"Let the Games Begin"  Earl Ray Bowles passed away December 16,
2004.Earl was born August 27, 1942 in Lewiston, Utah to Horace Edward and
Verna Wilson Bowles. He graduated from North Cache H.S. and the University of
Utah in Business. He worked for Proctor & Gamble, Zeller & Cullard, and was
self-employed as a marketing representative until his retirement in 2000. Earl
also served in the U.S. Coastguard during the Vietnam War. Earl was preceded
in death by his mother and father. Survivors include his brother, Wendell
(Irene) Bowles; sister, Renae (Thomas) Pearson; brother, Donald (Shelley)
Bowles; step-children, Harry Kiefert, William Kiefert, Angel Kosachich; seven
step-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; good friend, Dallas (Barbara)
Hansen and Monday night football cronies. Memorial services will be held
Tuesday, December 21, 2004 at 1 p.m. Friends and family may visit 1 hr. prior
to services at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State St. Murray,UT .

Brundle Sr., Gordon Gilbert
Gordon G.  Brundle Sr. 1928 ~ 2004  Gordon Gilbert Brundle Sr. , loving
husband father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, died
December 17th in Salt Lake City, UT. Gordon was born September 4, 1928 in
Stroudsburg, PA to Mable Beatrice Smith and Robert Brundle along with one
brother and six sisters. Of those still living are Emily Henrich, Mary Smith,
Jeanette Reta, Star Mut-chler, Ann Zacker, and Charles Brundle. They lived in
Stroudsburg until age 10 at which time they moved to Washington DC and there
he learned his lifelong passion of laying brick and stone at the age of 17, as
did his father and grandfather before him. His passion and skills for his work
were taught to all of his sons and grandsons, too. He met Jacqueline King in
Washington D.C. and married her three weeks later. They had over 55 years
together out west after she brought him back to UT. Gordon and Jackie had
seven children in 10 years, Nancy (Lee) McQuillan, Kaye Brundle, Sharon
Brundle Drown, Gordon G. Brundle Jr., Edward E. Brundle Sr., and Doug-las D.
Brundle. He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Andrew Albert Brundle;
and his sister, Judy Labar. His family and children are surely his wealth
untold with 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren to always remember.

Cavaness, ReNae Ellen
ReNae Ellen Cavaness 1970 ~ 2004  Our beloved daughter, mother and friend
returned home to our Heavenly Father December 15, 2004. She was born January
31, 1970 to Tallie and Phyllis Cavaness. Renae is survived by her mother, two
sons, Andrew and Robert Hicks and many friends.  Funeral services will be held
at Cannon 3rd Ward, 1301 S. 1200 W. at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 20, 2004
where friends may call one hour prior to services. Funeral Directors: Evans &

Christensen, Amy Lue Thomas
Amy Lue Thomas Christensen May 1931 ~ 2004  Our sweet and beloved wife,
mother, grandmother, sister, and friend left our presence to be with our
Heavenly Father and loved ones beyond the veil December 17, 2004. A beautiful
baby girl, born to Emil Andrew Christensen and Lucille Thomas Christensen July
23, 1931. She married her eternal companion and sweetheart, Jerry Franklin
May, May 31, 1952; and was sealed to him and her children (Christy, Jodi, and
Jimmy) January 30, 1985 in the Salt Lake Temple. She was blessed with the
ability to write poetry, tell stories and she loved the arts. She faithfully
kept a journal to enrich the lives of her posterity. She has an infectious
sense of humor and was a joy to be around. She loved life and enjoyed
traveling to many lands with her eternal companion and many dear friends. She
graduated from South High School and attended LDS Business College where she
excelled in shorthand, typing, and secretarial skills. She worked many years
in the film industry, where her skills and personality were invaluable assets
to her various employers. She loved serving in her many callings in the LDS
Church, which included stake Primary president, Relief Society positions,
visiting teacher, activities committee where she wrote and directed a stake
play, and was dedicated in writing the Ward News Letter for many years. Her
greatest accomplishment was her family, whom she loved with all her heart and
enjoyed nothing more than spending time with them. She was always willing to
share the joy her family brought her with anyone who would listen. She is
survived by her husband of 53 years; and her three children, Christy Ann May
(Jim) Ault, Jodi Lynne May (Scott) Maxfield, and Jimmy Franklin (Diana) May;
as well as 10 grandchildren, Josh (Tammy), Andrew (Jennie), Aaron, Samatha
(Samuel), McCall, Preston, Jesse, Dustin, Mor-gan, Paden; and great-grandson,
Oliver; three sisters, Cleone (Milt) Smith, Sylvia (Ray) Otanez, Sandra
Lamper; and one brother, Daniel E. Christensen. Preceded in death by her
father, mother, twin sisters, and one brother. The family would like to thank
her many doctors and the compassionate staff at Care Source Hospice for making
her last days so comfortable. Funeral services will be held Tuesday December
21, 2004, 11 a.m. at the Union Fort 5th Ward, 6770 South 500 East, Midvale.
Friends and family may call Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Memorial Mortuary,
5850 South 900 East. And again one hour prior to the services. Interment,

Clegg, Howard James
Howard James Clegg 1912 ~ 2004  Our beloved father and grandfather,Howard
James Clegg , age 92, passed away on Saturday, December 18, 2004, following a
brief illness.  He was born October 16, 1912, in Tooele, Utah to Peter
McIntyre and Ida Mary Lane Clegg. On July 29, 1936 he married Zella Orme, whom
he adored and revered; his partner, loving wife and dearest friend. They
enjoyed 64 years together before her death, and he continued to instill in us
the same values that they taught their children. He was a man of fidelity and
integrity, with a remarkable work ethic. He loved ranching and continued to be
involved in the day to day affairs of the 150-year-old family-owned business
until his death. He leaves a legacy of faith and heritage as he exhibited
great love for his ancestors, and taught us truths that he had gleaned from
the generations before. Dad had a vibrant testimony of the Savior and was an
active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He
faithfully served as a home teacher, and in numerous other callings including
Bishop of the Tooele First Ward and President of the Tooele Utah Stake. He was
generous with his time in civic and professional affairs and served as
President of the Settlement Canyon Irrigation Company, Grantsville Soil
Conservation District, Grantsville Grazing Association, Tooele County and Utah
State Cattlemen's Associations for many years. He was affiliated with The Sons
of the Utah Pioneers and rendered service to various organizations and
community causes. He was a graduate of Utah State Agricultural College (USU). 
His greatest love and most meaningful accomplishments were within his family,
whom he taught by precept and example. We will miss his faithful devotion and
tenderness.  He is survived by his sons and daughters, Joy L. (Sam) Lowham,
Marilyn (Glen H.) Lowry, Marjorie (Peter R.) Jeppson, Bruce (Janice) Clegg,
Daniel O. (Laurie) Clegg, and Robert M. (Linda) Clegg; 33 grandchildren and 25
great grandchildren. His beloved wife, Zella, their infant daughter, and
eldest son, H. James Clegg, preceded him in death. Funeral services will be
held at the Tooele Utah Stake Center, 253 South Second East, Tooele, Utah on
Wednesday, December 22, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. Friends and family may call from
9:30 to 10:30 that morning at the church. There will be a viewing Tuesday,
December 21, 2004, from 6:00 to 8:00 in the evening at Tate Mortuary, 110
South Main Street, Tooele, Utah. Interment will be in the Tooele City
Cemetery. The family suggests donations in Howard's memory to the Perpetual

Collins, Mary A.
Mary A. Collins 1924 ~ 2004  Mary A. Collins fled the prison of Alzheimer's
disease Dec. 16, 2004. She's now celebrating the birth of her Savior with Him
and with her beloved husband Frank, who died in 1994. She was born Nov. 22,
1924 in Teton, Idaho, to Amos and Agnes Siddoway, a late-life miracle who
continued to delight and surprise for 80 years. Born blind, she never let
anyone determine her limitations. And despite the ravages of her disease, she
never lost her sense of humor. Her life was truly a celebration. She played
piano and violin, once performing with David Rubinoff. She attended public
schools when it was unheard of for someone with a "disability." She and Frank,
also blind, raised four children and then she babysat her grandchildren.
Throughout their 43 year marriage, she managed his piano tuning and repair
career, making his appointments, keeping the books and paying the bills.
Before the marriage, she was a secretary for the Presbyterian church in Idaho
Falls. She also received a diploma in massage and physiotherapy. Mostly, she
was a great mom and grandma, then a great great-grandma. In 1998 Oprah Winfrey
featured her as "not your typical mother" on a Mother's Day special. She never
knew a stranger and touched a lot of lives, often counseling parents who
feared for the future of their blind children and helping adults who were
newly blind adapt. "They can do anything that's important to them," she'd say.
A devoted Christian, she played piano every Sunday. She loved to do ceramics  
and the results were always beautiful. She knitted lovely afghans for friends
and family. And she was just the person you'd seek out if you needed a
comforting shoulder, a listening ear, or just a good friend. She left a trail
of friends around the country. Mary is survived by her children: David F.
Collins, Nampa, Idaho; M. Kathleen "Kathy" Vaux (Richard), Ogden, Utah;
Kenneth D. Collins (Susan), Idaho Falls, Idaho; and Lois M. Collins (Beaux
Kyle), Salt Lake City, Utah. She also leaves behind 10 grandchildren and 10
great-grandchildren she adored. The family would like to thank the staff at
Manor Care and Hospice of Utah for the love they gave Mary. She was so easy to
love. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 21, 3:30 p.m. at Leavitt's
Chapel of Flowers, 836 36th Street in Ogden.

Crabtree, Helen Walters
Helen Walters Crabtree 1918 ~ 2004  Helen Walters Crabtree, age 86, passed
away December 16, 2004, in Salt Lake City, Utah.  She was born November 13,
1918, in Murray, Utah to Cyrus Sharp Walters and Edith Curtis. She graduated
from Murray High School, participated in many musical productions while there
and enjoyed the time spent with her peers. Helen was a beautiful and talented
young woman who found joy in sharing her talents with everyone. She married
William Simsich, October 9, 1940, and was later divorced. She married George
Wallace (Wally) Crabtree on August 9, 1947, later solemnized in the Salt Lake
Temple. They enjoyed 57 years of marriage before her passing. Helen was an
active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She served
in the Primary and Sunday School organizations and talked often of the joy she
felt from her visiting teaching sisters. She especially enjoyed the time she
spent wishing "Happy Birthday" to ward members. Helen had a sincere love of
horses and enjoyed many years riding with the Silver Spurs. She and Wally
cherished years of traveling in their motor home between Montana, Cherry Hills
and Yuma, Arizona. Their friendships and experiences led to hours of happy
reminiscing that always stirred Helen's desire to return to the RV life. 
Helen is survived by her husband, Wally, daughters Nancy Fender, Judy (Virgil)
Smock and son, Richard (Carolyn) Crabtree, 14 grandchildren, 55
great-grandchildren and four great, great grandchildren.  preceded in death by
her parents, her sister, Jeanne Maynes, and little brothers, Lynn and Cyrus
Walters.  Funeral Services will be held Monday, December 20, 2004, 11:00 a.m.,
at the Ridgedale Ward, 3487 South 13th East. The family will receive friends
Sunday December 19, 2004, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary,
3401 Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah and 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the Ridgedale
ward prior to services. Interment will be held at the Wasatch Lawn Memorial
Park.  Helen's family is thankful for the blessings and peace received from
serving their mother during a very trying season of her life.

Crandall, Richard Grace
Richard Grace Crandall 1919 ~ 2004  Richard Crandall, 85, died Dec. 16, 2004
in Bountiful, Utah after a long but dignified battle with Alzheimer's. The son
of Earl M. and Tasy Elizabeth Crandall, he was born Oct. 10, 1919 in Salt Lake
City, Utah. He married Maurene Jones on November 14, 1951 in the Salt Lake
Temple and they had six children.  An outstanding student, he attended East
High School and graduated from the University of Utah at the age of 19. He
received an LDS mission call to serve in London, England. Because of the start
of World War II his call was changed and he served in California. He was a
member of the first four year medical school class at the University of Utah
and graduated second in his class in 1944. He then served his country as an
Army Captain and Physician in Hawaii. He practiced Internal Medicine in
Pocatello, Idaho for 35 years where he was loved by his patients and
co-workers.  Richard was a master craftsman and woodworker and furnished and
finished his beloved cabin in Victor, Idaho. He loved to participate in
sporting activities with his children including skiing and snowmobiling. 
Richard was a devoted husband and father and will be remembered for his
never-ending kindness and patience. He was known for his charming wit and
lifted the spirits of others throughout his life with his sense of humor. He
had a keen intellect which helped him as a skilled and able physician. He
served in positions in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
throughout his life. One of his greatest joys was his service as an organist
which he did from his youth until his most advanced years.  He is survived by
his wife of 53 years, Maurene Jones Crandall, their five children, Evan
(Susan) of St. Louis, Monte (Ann) of Twin Falls, Barbara (Russ) Price of
Logan, Brian (Carolyn) of Bountiful, and David (Lisa) of Denver; three
siblings, Robert (Salt Lake City), Howard (Salt Lake City) and Nancy Tullis
(Kaysville). He is also survived by 25 grandchildren and five
great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother
Calvin, an infant daughter Maurene Elizabeth and a grandson Blake.  Funeral
services will be held 12:30 p.m. Monday, December 20, 2004 at the Pocatello
2nd Ward Chapel at 135 East 7th Avenue where friends may call at 11:00 a.m.
prior to services. A viewing will be held Sunday,  December 19 from 6-8 p.m.
at Lindquist's Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. Bountiful, Utah. Interment at

Davidson, Daniel Hepburn
Daniel Hepburn Davidson 4/4/1917 ~ 12/15/2004  BOUNTIFUL- Daniel Hepburn
Davidson passed away unexpectedly on December 15, 2004. (He was hoping to walk
that day for the first time after recovering almost fully from a severe car
accident that occurred several months prior, and he walked-if not in the way
that we had expected.)  Dan was born in Salt Lake City on March 4, 1917, and
was the seventh of nine children born to Daniel Davidson and Jane Sutherland
Davidson. He married Maria Jansen in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on October 7,
1940. Eight children were born to them: Mary Jane (Glenn) Hawkes, Trudy (John)
Van Cott, Alan (Ellen) Davidson, Janet (Russell) Athay, Daniel (Janet)
Davidson, John (Anet) Davidson, Paul (Karen) Davidson, and Mark (Claudia)
Davidson. They also have two foster children that are dear to them: Boone
(Sherryl) Chen, and Gwen (Bounkeo) Boualavang, plus a son through the Indian
Placement program, Roger Pelt. They have 50 grandchildren and 53
great-grand-children. Dan is now in good company, having been preceded in
death by his wife Mary, brothers Roland and Willard, sisters Laura and Betty,
and daughter Mary Jane. He is survived by his remaining children and by
sisters Jennette, Helen, Pearl, and brother Jesse.  Dan was an active member
of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, a proud father and
grandfather, a wonderful gardener, and a generous neighbor and friend. In 1977
he retired as head of the accounting department at Hill Air Force Base after
35 years of civil service. He and Mary served a full-time mission in Fresno,
California in 1981-82. Since that time he has enjoyed traveling with his
family, working in his garden and the temple. He has been a great example of
hard work, generosity and kindness and his courage and cheerful determination
in the face of his injuries has been an inspiration to us all. We will miss
him so much. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, December
20, at the Bountiful Thirty-first Ward, 585 East Center, Bountiful, Utah.
Friends may call Sunday evening, December 19, from 6:00   8:00 p.m. at the
Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, and at the ward building
one hour prior to services. Interment: Bountiful City Cemetery. Online guest

Fund and the Bountiful Community Food Pantry. In lieu of flowers, the family

Draper, Mert
Mert Draper 1914 ~ 2004  Emmert Shirley Draper passed away December 6, 2004 at
Avalon Valley Care Center. He was born September 22, 1914 to Kimball
Mertilious Draper and Edna Blackham in Moroni, Utah. He had three siblings,
sister Opal Aagard, and brothers Elwood and Jerry Draper.Emmert served in the
infantry division of the United States Army from 1942 to 1945 in Tampa,
Florida. In 1945 he began his study of mechanical engineering at Brigham Young
University and later went on to study at the University of Utah. As a young
adult, Mert passionately studied the saxophone, clarinet and flute. In 1942 he
performed in the Airforce Hillfield Band. His love of music and natural talent
led him to become the founder of the Mert Draper Dance Band in 1946. He and
his innovative jazz band charmed fans locally and nationally in locations such
as, Rainbow Rendezvous, Hotel Utah, the Old Mill, Covey's Ballroom, the
Terrace Ball Room, Lagoon and at the Sun Valley Resort. Mert married Leona
Decker in March of 1948, they had two daughters Laura and Sheila Draper. Mert
worked for Capitol Records in sales, promotions for 18 years, where he won
many awards for his salesmanship and people skills. He went on to hold many
like positions, with Crest Distributing, KCPX television, KRSP radio, KBBX
radio and Amex Systems. His personable, ethical approach, and no pressure
sales won him admiration and respect from all. Mert found much pleasure in
golf, skiing, tennis, basketball and especially his family and friends. He
never attended a social function, without his camera in hand to capture his
love and appreciation for the people in his life. He graced us all with his
compassionate loving nature, and his warm and gentle spirit. We will miss his
kind smile, musical expertise, love for animals, flowers, the outdoors and his
uncanny ability to fix anything! He is survived in death by his brother Elwood
Draper; former wife Leona Decker; daughters Laura (Cal) Boardman, and Sheila
(Craig) Gorder; his grandchildren, David (Carolyn), Anthony and Ben Jenkinson,
Sofia and Giselle Gorder; and two great- grandchildren Levi and Rachyl
Jenkinson. There will be a celebration of his life on Monday, December 20,

Edmunds, Leah Allen Casarotto
Leah Allen Casarotto Edmunds 10/5/38 ~ 12/16/04  Leah Allen Edmunds, 66,
departed this world December 16, 2004, after a long and valiant battle with
renal disease. Leah was born a happy and smiling baby, October 5, 1938, in
Madison, Wisconsin to Harris and Marion Allen.  She was raised and educated in
Wisconsin schools. Leah attended Wayland Academy, Milton Union High School,
Milton College (Wisconsin), and Lincoln College (Illinois).  She married Peter
Casarotto, December 18, 1965 in Madison, Wisconsin. Shortly after moving to
Salt Lake City, Utah, Leah and Peter were blessed with their only child, David
Casarotto. She married Douglas Edmunds, December 6, 2000 in Salt Lake City,
Utah. Leah was extremely well-read and well-traveled. She was an avid
crossword puzzle enthusiast and was seldom stumped. She loved all animals.
Over the years, she had many cats and dogs. Her favorite places to visit were
the Humane Society, Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, and Living Free, where she
interacted with the animals. Leah enjoyed volunteering at her local Humane
Society and various senior citizen facilities.  She is preceded in death by
her father, Harris Gibbs Allen of Milton, Wisconsin. She is survived by her 96
year old mother, Marion Mathis Allen of Milton, Wisconsin, her son, David
Casarotto, and her husband Douglas Edmunds and his children, all of Salt Lake
City, Utah. The family expresses gratitude to the many individuals and
organizations that assisted them throughout Leah's final illness, especially
Care Source Hospice Facility, and the University of Utah Dumke Dialysis staff.
Your love and support will always be remembered.  Funeral services for Leah
will be held on Monday, December 20, 2004 at 12:00 noon at the Holbrook
Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, Salt Lake City, where friends may call from
10:45-11:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be in the Allen family

Mae Fallis "Our Mom"  Mae Traynor Fallis, age 85, passed away on December 17,
2004 in West Jordan. Born May 1, 1919 in Rocker, Montana, a daughter of Claude
and Lillian Anderson Traynor. Married Mark C. Fallis on April 11, 1948 in
Wendover, Nevada; he preceded her in death. Survived by children: Darrell
(Peggy) Hailstone, Gary (Vickie) Hailstone, Dixie (Wally) Horne, Randy Fallis,
Rick (Sandy) Fallis, Lonnie (Janet) Fallis, Terry Fallis; 19 grandchildren; 22
great grandchildren. Preceded in death by a brother and sister and grandson,
Brandon Mark. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, 1 p.m., at Hatch
Cemetery, UT. Friends and family may visit Monday, 6-8 p.m., at McDougal
Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road.

Ford, Heidi Hatch
Heidi Hatch Ford 1956  ~  2004  Heidi Hatch Ford, beloved wife, mother,
daughter, sister and friend passed away Dec. 16, 2004, from the consequences
of a circulatory failure suffered one year ago in New Zealand while she and
her husband, Craig, were visiting her parents during their medical mission for
the LDS church. Heidi was born April 14, 1956 to Dr. Joseph Lloyd Hatch and
Annette Shurtleff Hatch. She was the beloved daughter who followed two
brothers Floyd and Brad, later joined by sister Annette and younger brothers
Tim and Paul. Heidi attended Dilworth Elementary, Clayton Jr. High and
Highland High School graduating in 1974. Heidi attended the University of Utah
where she affiliated with Delta Gamma. She served an LDS church mission to
Guayaquil, Equador, where she developed a deep love for the people. She
completed her studies at the U graduating in therapeutic recreation. Heidi
married Doug Kofford in 1982 and three wonderful children were born to them,
Kristina (20), James (18) and Jennie (14). They lived in Salt Lake, Los
Angeles and Holladay. They later divorced.  Craig and Heidi's friendship began
in Jr. High School. They were later reacquainted and sealed in the temple for
time and eternity on May 21, 1998. They enjoyed a wonderful life making their
home in Centerville. Heidi added Craig's children, Holly, Ryan and Pat to
their family. Heidi loved being part of the Ford family and was incredibly
happy.  For the last nine years Heidi was employed at the Salt Lake Veteran's
Administration where she guided her beloved veterans through a variety of
recreational, cultural and artistic endeavors. She took the veterans on many
outings and involved them in activities they thoroughly enjoyed with Heidi's
enthusiasm and sense of fun. In appreciation, these same Vets were often heard
to say, "We love our Heidi." Previous to that, she worked with children at
Shriner's and Primary Children's Medical Center. Heidi's courage in facing the
challenge of her brain injury this past year has been inspirational. Her
determination and zeal for life was never suppressed through the challenges
her body presented. Many people have been influenced and touched by her great
spirit and bright smile. Many faithful friends and family have lovingly
attended to Heidi, for which we are most grateful. Special thanks to the
myriad of people who unselfishly took their turn caring for her in a most
considerate way. May you find great peace knowing you helped ease the load.
The family would like to thank Craig for his tireless devotion to Heidi, who
blessed her life with his compassionate and patient ways. Heidi was preceded
in death by her beloved brother Paul and infant sister Carolyn Susan. She is
survived by her husband Craig Ford, children Kristina, James and Jennie
Kofford, Holly, Ryan and Pat Ford. Parents, Joe and Annette Hatch, brothers
Floyd (Carol), Brad (Mary Ann), and Tim (Kami) and sister Annette (Robert)
Nichols. In-laws Newell (Kathy) Ford, Marilyn (Paul) Latteier, Janet (Mike)
Rogers, and Brad (Julie) Ford. Many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews
and countless friends will miss her radiance and optimism for life. Heidi was
especially loved by her nieces and nephews. The family and friends may share
their condolences on Sunday, Dec. 19, 2004 at Larkin Sunset Lawn 2350 East
1300 South from 6:00 until 8:30 p.m. The services will be held on Monday,
December 20, 2004 at the Centerville North Stake Center 1451 North Main,
Centerville, Utah, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation from 9:30 until 10:45.

Forrest, Olive Elizabeth
Olive Elizabeth Forrest 1914 ~ 2004  Olive Elizabeth Forrest, born March 25,
1914 to Ross and Selene Palmer in North Braddock, Pennsylvania, died
peacefully in her home December 16, 2004. Olive married her husband, Alexander
T. Forrest Oct. 30, 1948. She enjoyed playing golf, bridge and bowling. She
spent many years traveling both domestically and internationally. She is
survived by her dear husband of 56 years who looks forward to continuing their
travels together into eternity; sister, Lois Palmer, Menhall, PA; and several
cousins. There will be a viewing at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple
in Salt Lake City Monday, December 20, 2004 from 3-4 p.m. She will be laid to
rest at the Jefferson Memorial Park Mausoleum December 23, 2004 in Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania. Services will be conducted by her cousin, The Rev. James
Marshall.

Furniss, Earl Wright
Earl Wright Furniss 1921 ~ 2004  Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and
friend, Earl Wright Furniss, age 83, passed away on December 16, 2004,
surrounded by his loving family.Born March 5, 1921, son of Earl and Rhea
Estella Wright Furniss. Married Helen Kelly, March 11, 1942; later solemnized
in the Salt Lake Temple, Dec. 23, 1943. He was a member of the LDS Church
serving as bishop, in two stake presidencies, as high councilor and forever in
scouting. He loved dancing, photography and carving. He was also involved in
drama. He was proud of and adored his family. He especially loved spending
time with them outdoors. He is survived by his wife, Helen; daughter, Nancy
(Jeff) Gygi; seven grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Funeral services
will be Tuesday, December 21, at 12:00 noon at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330
South Redwood Road. A viewing will be Monday from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday
11-11:40 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery. In lieu

Gatherum, William Robert
William Robert Gatherum (Bob) 5/5/1926 ~ 12/17/2004  Bob passed away
unexpectedly on Friday morning, December 17, 2004. He was born in Salt Lake
City, Utah on May 5, 1926 to William Reulon and Mildred Cook Gatherum. He
married Carolyn Elvera Taylor on May 1, 1953. He served his country during
World War II and wasstationed in Japan. He worked for American Oil for 35
years. He also enjoyed working for various sporting events at Derks Field,
University of Utah, Salt Palace and for the past 10 years for the Utah Jazz at
the Delta Center. He loved animals, especially his two pugs, Annie and Pepper.
He enjoyed keeping his antique cars in perfect condition and displayed them in
local car shows. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing. He and Carolyn
spent many vacations in Las Vegas and Wendover, he always seemed to have such
good luck. His expression of "Tap it light" as you were leaving after a visit,
always left friends and family with a warm feeling of "Good-bye." He is
survived by his wife Carolyn, three children William Robert Jr., Colleen
Elaine Mullins (Ken), Gary Taylor Gatherum (Amy). Three grandchildren, Zachary
Taylor Gatherum, Graeme Whitney Gatherum, Greydon Taylor Gatherum, two
step-grandchildren, Emilie Mullins, Casey Coombs (Cody). One step
great-grandchild, Mary Adelaide Coombs. The family wishes to extend a special
thanks to the staff at Salt Lake Regional Medical Center who provided care for
Bob, and a special love and appreciation to Dr. John Luras, Amy and Kara.
Funeral services will be 12:00 Noon, Tuesday, December 21, 2004 at the

Uteva Johnson Groendyke 8/1/1918 ~ 12/13/2004  Uteva Johnson Groendyke, age
86, of Salt Lake City, UT, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 13, 2004
in Sandy, UT. Teva was born August 1, 1918 in Lovell, WY to Carl Joshua and
Signe Elvira Nordberg Johnson. She married Norman D. Groendyke on October 14,
1938, and together they owned and operated the Normandie Roller Rink in Salt
Lake City, and Rocket Bowl in Brigham City. As an outstanding athlete, she
taught skating and achieved membership in the 600-700 Club at the Fairmont
Bowl.  Teva was a fantastic cook, veracious reader and a devoted BYU football
and Utah Jazz fan and felt great concern for their difficult seasons this
year. Uteva is survived by her daughters, Shawna Maddox of Sandy, UT, Marsha
Gustafson, Atherton, CA; sons, Norman Groendyke, Jr. of Seattle, WA, Gordon
and Rick of Salt Lake City, and Gary of HA; 20 grandchildren and 28
great-grandchildren; brothers, Lester and Melvin Johnson. She is preceded in
death by her parents, grandson, Gary Groendyke, Jr., brother, Melvin Johnson
and sister, Helen Hazelgren. Funeral services for Teva will be Monday, Dec.
20, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Garden Heights Ward, 2220 East Fisher Lane (2935
South), where friends may call Monday morning, 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the
services. Interment: Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. Funeral Directors: The

Hanke, Charles Ralston
Charles Ralston Hanke Hank  Charles Ralston Hanke "Hank", age 84, passed away
December 18, 2004 in Salt Lake City, UT.He was born on June 5, 1920 in San
Francisco, CA to Charles Henry and Willamina Hanke. He married Dorothy
Reynolds on December 28, 1943 in Salt Lake City, UT. He served in theArmy Air
Corps during World War II in the Philippines as an aircraft mechanic. He was
honorably discharged in 1945 and lived in California for several years, then
moved to Salt Lake. He worked for Wheeler Machinery in the parts department.
Hank enjoyed helping people and had a special knack for fixing things. He
enjoyed wood working, camping and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy
R. Hanke, daughter Julie H. Clawson and son David Hanke. He was preceded in
death by two daughters, Suzanne R. Hanke and Laura Lynn Hanke, and a sister,
Jeannette Bishop. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, December 21 at 12:00
noon at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Chapel, 3401 Highland Drive. The family will

Hopkins, Brent L.
Brent L. Hopkins 1948 ~ 2004  FARMINGTON -Brent L. Hopkins , age 56, was
called home to his Father in Heaven Thursday, December 16, 2004 in Salt Lake
City, Utah, after a long and valiant struggle with heart disease. Brent was
born January 15, 1948 in Rexburg, Idaho to Daniel A. and Elna C. Hopkins. He
spent his early years in Tetonia and Pocatello, Idaho, where he received his
education, and then later moved to Utah. He was an active member of the LDS
Church and served throughout his life, including a Dallas, Texas mission, and
his most recent ordination to High Priest - Brent's favorite calling. He began
selling bicycles out of his shop in Bountiful before moving on to work for Mt.
Bell Phone Company and Quest Communications. He held a position with Homeland
Security, where his service to others and caring nature continued until his
passing. Brent is survived by his wife, Ginna and their three children:
Heather and (Ben) Huston, Andrea and (Johnny) Jeppson, and Devin; his children
from a previous marriage, Danny, Jonathon, Richard and Jed; five siblings,
Daniel (Bob), Jerry, MaryAnne, Marleen and Jean; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Daniel and mother, Elna. Funeral
services will be held Tuesday, December 21, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Rock
Chapel, 272 North Main St., Farmington, UT. Friends may call Monday evening
from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North
Main St. and Tuesday morning from 9:45 - 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to

Hultquist, Harry Edvinsson
Harry Edvinsson Hultquist 1953 ~ 2004  Our much beloved son, brother, uncle
and friends spirit left us December 12, 2004 in St. Joseph Hospital in
Toronto, Canada. Harry was born March 8, 1953 in Toronto, Canada, to Ake Edvin
and Astrid Hultquist. He lived most of his life in Salt Lake City. Graduated
from Cottonwood High School, was a piano major at the University of Utah.
Graduated from Cleveland Institute of Electronics. For years he owned and
operated The Piano Temperament Shop, was affiliated with C-21 McAffee Realtors
as a realtor associate. Harry was a very spiritual and caring person, a
multitalented musician, artist, poet, reader and writer. To know him was to
love him. His father preceded him in death. He is survived by his mother
Astrid, his brothers: Morgan of Toronto, Canada; Fredh of Salt Lake City,
Utah; and three nieces: Marina Dawn, Sharon and Emily of Toronto, Canada.
Funeral services will be held in Toronto, Canada. Interment in Toronto next to
his Grandfather. Harry, your love will live on in us - till we meet again.

Hunsaker, Vera Cook
Vera Cook Hunsaker 1908 ~ 2004  Vera Cook Hunsaker , an elect lady, died
Friday, December 17, 2004, in Salt Lake City at the age of 96 of causes
incident to age.  She was born May 8, 1908, in Bloomington, Idaho to Alonzo
Laker and Maude Osmond Cook. She was the eldest of 10 children and was raised
in Bothwell, Utah. She married Raymond D. Hunsaker October 23, 1929, in the
Logan Temple. He died on August 7, 1985. She graduated from Utah State
University in 1959. The family lived many years in Honeyville and Garland,
Utah and in 1963 Ray and Vera moved to North Salt Lake to be near family and
the genealogical library. She is survived by three sons: DeLon (Peggy),
Stephen (Janet) of Salt Lake City and Kirk (Elaine) of Heber. She was preceded
in death by daughter Connie Birkinshaw and son Duane. She is survived by
son-in law Lynn Birkinshaw and daughter-in-law Carolyn Y. Hunsaker, 19
grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and many
nieces and nephews. She is survived by brothers, Owen Cook and Vernon Cook,
and two sisters, Lois C. Canning and Maurine C. Winterton. She was a faithful
member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She will be
remembered as a wonderful mother, a talented musician and piano teacher, and a
genealogical expert. She was called to serve a 3-year mission to the L.D.S.
Church Family History Library and stayed in that volunteer position for 17
years. The family extends special thanks to the caregivers at Elderly Manor
for their tender care in her declining years. Services will be held Tuesday,
December 21, 2004, 11:00 a.m. at the South Cottonwood Second Ward, 981 East
5600 South, Murray, Utah, where friends may call one hour prior to the
service. Interment will be in the Honeyville, Utah Cemetery.

Jensen, Marianne
Marianne Jensen Beloved wife, mother, sister and friend  Marianne Jensen
passed away December 17, 2004. Born February 21, 1930 in Castle Gate, Utah to
Marion and Beth. She married Dahl Ray Jensen on June 12, 1948. She and Ray
lovingly raised five children, Vicki (Stephen), Cathy (Mitchell), Michael,
Lee, and Lisa (Jon). She adored her 10 grandchildren: Adria (Thomas), Zachary,
Benjamin, Claire, Amber, Joshua, Nicholas, Whitney, Cara and Dahlas; her two
great-grandchildren, Violet and Frances; and her two dogs, Minnie and Rudy.
Marianne was an artist and treasured music. She was a lifetime member in the
American Legion Auxiliary. She was a Girl Scout Leader and very active at her
Senior Citizen Center. Marianne will be missed by all who love her. Her
funeral is Monday, December 20th, 11:30 a.m. at Redwood Memorial Mortuary,
6500 S. Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah. Her viewing will be Sunday 6 8 p.m.
at the mortuary.

Krebs, George Steven (Steve)
Steve Krebs "Together Forever"  George Steven (Steve) Krebs , 44, our loving
husband, father, son, brother and grandson passed away peacefully at the home
of his parents Decem-ber 15, 2004 of ALS. He was born Jan. 26, 1960 in Murray,
Utah to George Ronald and Karen Su-zanne Webster Krebs. On May 10, 1997 he
married Carol Myerhoff in the Manti LDS Temple. Steve was a graduate of Jordan
High School, active in the LDS Church and employed by Utah Power & Light as
well as the Missouri Department of Corrections. Survivors: Loving wife, Carol;
children, Brad, Casey, and Kendra; kind and generous parents, George and Karen
Krebs; brothers and sister, Michael, Paul (Isabel), Jennifer Krebs; and
Carol's children, Chad (Mandy) Johnson, Cody (Amanda) Rasband, Andy (Angie)
Bollard, Bonnie (Russ) Bollard, Justin Rasband; four grandchildren; grandpa,
Verl Webster; mother-in-law, Ellen Barr. Also surviving is his "best buddy and
mans best friend," 'Syd.' Funeral services Wednesday December 22, 2004 at 11
a.m. in the Country Park 8th Ward, 11400 South 1988 West. Friends may call at
Goff Mortuary 8090 So. State Tuesday 6-8 p.m. or Wednesday at the church from

Lee, Patricia
Patricia Lee 1930 ~2004  Patricia Ann Mason Lee died in Draper on December 14,
2004 of lung cancer.  She was born in Preston, Idaho on May 25, 1930 to
Herbert and Florence Mason, and married John F. Lee on Sept. 15, 1950 in
Arlington, Virginia, which marriage was solemnized the next year in the Salt
Lake LDS temple. Her husband survives her as do their children, Randall
(Corey) of Hyrum, Laurelei Lindsay (Sean) of Denver and Franklin (Jennifer) of
Lindon; five grandchildren, two brothers (Keith and Jay Mason) and a sister
(Yerda Payne) also survive. Pat graduated Idaho Falls High School in 1947 and
attended Brigham Young University where she was a class officer, a Cesta Tie,
the Cougarette leader, and later a member of the Alumni Board. She also
attended San Francisco State University and Rutgers University, where she
graduated in 1984 with high honors. While her husband attended school in
Washington, D.C., she served as an aide to Sen. Henry Dworshak (R-ID). The
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was her spiritual guide through
life. She fulfilled many responsible callings in the Church, loved the Lord
and followed His precepts. Her best friends were always her Relief Society
sisters. She traveled the world extensively, both for pleasure and with her
husband on business. For 12 years, during their retirement, they lived at
Whalers Cove on the south coast of Kauai where Pat greatly enjoyed winter
visits from family and friends. She was an avid art collector, and her own
artistic ability was much admired. She excelled at handiwork, particularly
needlepoint and quilting. Friends and acquaintances sought her out for unique
designs and patterns. She read prodigiously, skied, played tennis and platform
tennis, liked acrostics, chess and bridge. Her husband and family loved her
tenderly and deeply, and she is mourned by a wide circle of friends, one of
whom with a casual remark once unintentionally pronounced her epitaph. He
said, "When Pat enters a room, she's the prettiest girl there." Indeed, she
walked with grace and beauty throughout her life. Complying with her explicit
instructions, her body was cremated, and her ashes strewn across the sagebrush
covered prairie of southern Idaho. In order to accommodate far-flung family
members and friends, a Memorial Service will be held on Wed., January 5, 2005
at the Hidden Valley Stake Center, 1440 Raddon Dr., Sandy, Utah. (1405 E. and
12000 S.). The service will begin at 11 a.m. Friends may gather to meet with
the family one hour earlier.

Linde, Robert A.
Robert A. Linde 1925 ~2004  Robert Aaron Linde, 78, died December 15, 2004.
Bob was born in Bountiful, Utah December 17, 1925 the son of Robert Linde and
Mildred Keysor Linde. He lived his entire life in the Salt Lake City area;
graduated from South High School in 1943; was a veteran of World War II; and
received a BS degree from the University of Utah in 1962. Bob worked as a chef
in a variety of restaurants in Salt Lake and throughout Southern Utah. He was
a teaching chef at Utah Technical College, and ended his career in food
preparation at the Utah Sate Prison. He is survived by his sister, Marion

Zenol OrsonLittlefield Grandpa Zen  Our beloved husband, dad and grandpa
returned home to his Heavenly Father, December 16, 2004.He was born September
13, 1921 in Marysvale, Utah to William and Mary Littlefield. He served in the
US Army during World War II. Zen married Dora Johnson, December 1, 1963. He
was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Zen
enjoyed, antique cars, working in the Jordan River Temple baptistry and was an
avid gardener. He was known as the neighborhood fixer-upper. The most
important part of his life though, was his family. He is survived by his
loving wife, Dora; children, Larry (Marylou) Otteson, Kathleen (Tim) Mauger,
Dale Littlefield, David (Linda) Otteson, Jody (Dave) Young; 25 grandchildren;
50 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson and sister, Edna Jarrard.
Preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. Funeral services will be
held Monday, December 20th, 12:00 noon at the Salt Lake Jordan 7th Ward, 3650
W. 4400 S. A viewing will be held Sunday evening from 5   7 p.m. at Redwood
Memorial Mortuary, 6500 S. Redwood Road and one hour prior to services at the
church.

Mangus, J. Harry
J. Harry Mangus 1917 ~ 2004  Born in Wilcoe, West Virginia on March 5, 1917 to
Walter and Rose Mangus, Harry was born the seventh of 13 children. Survived by
Jessie, his wife, of 58 years (married March 29, 1946) and six children,
LaWana (Randy), Gus, Jerry (Jill), Coral (Andrea), Hazel (DuWayne), and Joseph
(Joyce), adopted daughter Fela (Juan); 26 grandchildren and four
great-grandchildren. Harry was raised in Byron, Wyoming. At the age of 3 he
survived a gunshot wound that robbed him of sight and hearing on the left
side. Harry's motto was "turn stumbling blocks into stepping stones." Harry
served an LDS mission in the Spanish American Mission and was a temple worker
for 16 years. He was a 2nd Lieutenant in World War II in the Army Special
Services. While attending the University of Wyoming, Harry won the Rocky
Mountain Conference wrestling three times, the AAU Cross Country, the
Nebraska/Wyoming Golden Gloves (twice) and held the record for the 5,000 meter
race. As an educator and coach, Harry opened wrestling programs in various
high schools. In Casper, Wyoming the "Harry Mangus" trophy was awarded for the
outstanding high school wrestler of the year. He ran marathons into his 70s,
golfed and bowled into his 80s. While Harry excelled in many sports he is best
remembered as a man of integrity. He never said an unkind word about anyone.
He taught us in many silent ways what it means to be a husband, father,
grandfather and athlete. Harry passed away at home on December 15, 2004. 
Funeral Services will be held Monday, December 20, 2004 at 12:00 Noon at
Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South. The family will receive
friends at a viewing at the Funeral Home on Sunday evening from 5:00 to 7:00
p.m. and one hour prior to the Service. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.

Martin, Ryan Richard
Ryan Richard Martin 1971 ~ 2004  SYRACUSE   Ryan Richard Martin, 33, passed
away Friday, December 17, 2004. He was born October 17, 1971 in Ogden, the son
of Richard G. Martin and Evelyn Stacey. He married LynnAnn Ward on March 26,
1994 in the Salt Lake Temple. Ryan was a member of the L.D.S. Church and
served a mission to Korea and to the Oakland, California mission where he met
the love of his life. He was an Eagle Scout and was active in church and in
many sports. He always put others before himself and was a thoughtful and
caring person. He loved to learn, had many talents and was very creative. Ryan
loved his wife, Lynn and their son, Jayce, and was a wonderful, devoted
husband and father. Ryan was always willing to lend a helping hand for family,
neighbors and friends. He was a loving father, husband, son, grandson,
brother, uncle and friend and was loved by all. He will be greatly missed.
Ryan valued the friendships he made working with fellow correction officers in
Salt Lake County and at the State Prison for the past ten years. He also
worked for the U.S. Postal Service. He particularly enjoyed the opportunity to
work in security during the 2002 Winter Olympics. He is survived by his wife,
Lynn and son, Jayce; his parents, Richard and Evelyn Martin, Ogden; both
grandmothers, Dorothy H. Martin and Phyllis Stacey, Ogden; three brothers and
three sisters, Justin (Spring) Martin, Ogden; Jeramy (Erin) Martin, Ogden; Tim
Martin, Ogden; Tiffini (Spencer) Robbins, Payson, UT; Melissa (Crispin)
Gallegos, Ogden and Natalie Martin, Ogden. He is also survived by several
nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. Funeral services will be held on
Tuesday, December 21, 2004 at 1 p.m. at the Syracuse L.D.S. Fremont Ward, 2500
South Bluff Road, Syracuse with Bishop Jerrad Pullum officiating. Family and
friends may come to Myers Mortuary, 250 N. Fairfield Road in Layton on Monday

Tracie Dawn McLeod 1960 ~ 2004   Tracie Dawn McLeod , age 44 passed away on
Dec. 15, 2004. Tracie was born March 13, 1960 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the
eighth of nine children born to Don and Mildred Smith. She is preceded in
death by her father Don Smith and her youngest brother Damon Smith. On July
13, 1988 she married Robert McLeod of New Britain, Connecticut in the Salt
Lake LDS temple. They have two children; Robert David, 13, and Haylie Ann, 8.
The McLeod family has lived in Las Vegas for the past nine years. Tracie is
survived by her mother, Mildred Smith; husband, Robert D. McLeod and children,
David and Haylie; and siblings, Janelle (Ron) Van Orman, Lani (Ron) Nelson,
Sheila (Phil) Miller, Brian (Marsha) Smith, Luana Green, Kerry (Sharon) Smith,
and Erin (Bruce) Nelson. A graveside service will be held at 12 p.m. on
Wednesday, December 22 at Lehi City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 p.m.
until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 21 at Broomhead Funeral Home - 12600 S. 2200

Millward, Reah May Weatherston
Reah May Weatherston Millward Together Forever  Our loving mother and
grandmother, Reah Millward, 81, passed away December 16, 2004 at her home in
American Fork.  Mom was born Feb 21, 1923 in Plano, Idaho to Leo Stanley and
Laomi May Hemsley Weatherston. She married her sweetheart, Marden Robinson
Millward, Dec 7, 1946 and was sealed to him in the Idaho Falls Temple, May 29,
1951. Dad passed away June 18, 1989. Mom was raised in Plano, Idaho and
graduated from Madison High School in Rexburg. She has been active in the LDS
Church, serving in many callings including ordinance worker in the Provo and
Mt. Timpanogos Temples. Mom was a gentle, loving person who displayed
Christlike attributes to all with whom she came in contact. Her family was the
most important thing in her life and she served them unselfishly. She enjoyed
reading and handiwork and was a wonderful cook and homemaker. Survived by her
children: Karen (Dean) Evans of American Fork; Gary M.(Kathy) of West Valley
City; Brent W. (Mary) of American Fork; Mardene (Bill) Boren of Orem; Carolyn
(Dennis) Jensen of Orem; 21 grandchildren; 25 great-grand-children; two
brothers, Ralph Weatherston (Vida) and Leon Weatherston (Bonnie) of Rexburg;
two sisters, Carma Cooper (Dick) of Rexburg and Geneal Havens of Idaho Falls.
Preceded in death by her husband, granddaughter Robyn, parents, son-in-law,
Dean Evans, two brothers, Marvin and Dale Weatherston. Funeral will be 11 a.m.

Lucille P. Myers 1919 ~ 2004  Lucille Myers passed away Thursday Dec 16, 2004
at LDS Hospital due to natural causes.  She was born Dec. 23, 1919 in
Springville UT to Blake D Palfreyman and Louisa Metcalf Palfreyman.  Preceded
in death by her two sisters, one brother, her husband Lloyd D. Myers, and one
grandson.  Survived by her three children, Harry B. Springmeyer, Cherie Newlin
and Christine Doherty; 13 grandchildren and 15 great grand children.  She grew
up in Provo, UT; graduated from BYU High School and attended both BYU and
Stanford Universities. She started her family in Provo, later moved to Murray
UT, then re-married Lloyd in the Salt Lake Temple and moved to Salt Lake where
she has been for the last 40 years. She had a full career at Sentential
Security Life Insurance in Salt Lake City, UT from which she retired. Lucille
was a loving, caring person who always had a helping hand and taught us
through her example to love our families and never give up. Services to be
held Monday Dec. 20th at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 East 1300 South, Salt Lake,
at 11:00 a.m., viewing one hour prior to services.

in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born on June 5, 1921, in Widsoe, Utah to
Jergen Peter Hermansen and Fern May Squire. She loved people and traveling.
She is survived by children, son, Rick (Robyn) Roberts, daughters, Marian
(Gary) Ferguson, Margaret "Peggy" Nance; grandchildren, Matthew, Adam, Tamara,
Troy, Sherry (Peter) Sinclair, Chrissy (Billy) Hood, Tonya (Rick) Simpson,
(Kelly) Raylene Nance; great-grandchildren, Carly, McKenna, Mary, Stun,
Brenna, Dillon, Nicole, Ashley, Jacob; sisters and brothers, Vadna Swann,
Donna Prince, Ila Ernsten, Ray Hermansen, Ned Hermansen, Dean Hermansen. She
is preceded in death by two husbands, Henry Roberts and Ramon Nielsen, two
sisters, Arvella Potter, Joy Bradley, one grandchild, Terry Lynn Thulin.
Graveside service will be Monday, December 20, 2004 at 1  p.m. at Sunset
Gardens, 10600 So. 1900 East, Sandy, Utah. Friends and family may visit

Oborn, Edward B.
Edward B.  (Ted) Oborn "Papa"  Husband, father, grandfather,
great-grandfather, uncle and friend departed his earthly home on December 16,
2004 to dwell with his heavenly family. Ted was born to goodly parents William
and Rhoda Bushman Oborn in Fort Union, Utah. He married Shirley Nelson in the
Manti LDS Temple on August 16, 1950. He was educated at Jordan High School,
Salt Lake Community College and the University of Utah. Ted was employed at
Amoco for over 30 years. Ted was a High Priest in The Church of Jesus Christ
of Latter-day Saints. He served faithfully in various ward and stake
positions. His favorite calling was as scoutmaster. He enjoyed working with
the youth and served in different capacities in the Boy Scout organization for
many years. Ted's community service consisted of working in Little League and
Western Boys Baseball Organizations. He also served as a volunteer in the Salt
Lake School District. He served his country honorably in the United States
Special Forces. Ted had many interests and hobbies including fishing in Alaska
and Mexico with his son-in-law. His passion was boating and fishing with his
son and grandsons. Shopping with his daughter was high on his list of
priorities also. He enjoyed entertaining relatives and friends at the family
cabin in Timberlakes. Ted was an avid reader of Church and western United
States history and liked traveling to historical monuments and museums. Most
of all he loved his family and they loved and respected and admired him. The
many family trips and cruises will leave us all with wonderful memories of our
Papa. Ted is survived by his wife Shirley of Murray, Utah; daughter Staci Jo
Sain (Mark) of Holladay, Utah; and son Sean Oborn of South Jordan, Utah. He is
also survived by grandchildren; Jennifer, Jessica, Brittany, Michael, Aaron,
Tyler, and Bronson. Other survivors include four great-grandsons: Ryan,
Sabastian, Christian, and Colton. Also a foster sister Evonna Montalvo (Monty)
of West Jordan, Utah; sister-in-law Joan Oborn, of Sacramento, California and
three nephews also of California. He is preceded in death by his parents,
Brother Louis and two grandsons; Chance and Niocholaus. Ted loved and was
loved, and no man can ask for more. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday
Dec. 21, 2004 at Mountain View Memorial Estates Chapel, 3115 East 7800 South
(Bengal Blvd.). Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to
services on Tuesday at Mountain View. Interment at Mountain View will follow
services. If you wish, in lieu of flowers please make a contribution to
Primary Children's Medical Center. We would like to thank the staffs at LDS
Hospital and Highland Care Center for the wonderful care and concern they gave
to Ted and our family the past few weeks.

William F. Pay 1920~2004  NEPHI - William Fowkes Pay, age 84, passed away
December 15, 2004 at his home in Nephi, Utah.He was born October 26, 1920 in
Nephi, Utah to William G. and Sarah J. Fowkes. He married Dorthy Virveen Smith
October 30, 1939. She died June 1942. He married Fay LaJune Collard in Provo,
Utah April 8, 1944. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple.
She died October 25, 2004. He attended school in Nephi. He served in World War
II and was employed at NRP retiring in 1982. He enjoyed farming, hunting and
spending time with his family.  He entertained his family with poems and songs
he had memorized throughout the years.  He is survived by five daughters,
NaDee in (late Karl) Chappell of Henderson, NV; Ellen (Ned) Anderson of
Pocatello, ID; Sandra Pay, Karen Craigmiles and Linda Pay all of Salt Lake
City; four sons, Grant (Laurie) Pay of Santaquin, UT; Billy (Jackie) Pay of
Centerfield, UT; Larry (Christina) Pay and Jeff Pay both of Nephi; 26
grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren; sister, Betty (Reed) Sherwood of
Provo, UT. Preceded in death by his parents; wives, two sons, Glen Richard
Pay; James Pay and wife Joyce; one grandchild, Tina Pay; two
great-grandchildren, Brandon Argyle and Rebecca Jacoby brother, Clarence;
sisters, Vilda Kay, Erva Bradfield and Norma Anderson.  Funeral services will
be held at 11 a.m. Monday, December 20, 2004 in the Nephi Stake Center, 351 N
100 W. Friends may call Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral
Home, 94 W 300 N and at the church one hour to the services. Interment will be
in the Nephi Vine Bluff Cemetery.

Peterson, John Raymond
John Raymond Peterson 1921 ~ 2004  BOUNTIFUL - Dad died at Lakeview Hospital,
Tuesday, December 14, 2004 of causes incident to age.  He was born March 2,
1921 in Great Falls, Montana, the only child of Erick and Mary Marckel
Peterson. He was a dedicated son and brought his mother to live with us for 26
years when grandpa died. He married Ida Lehman Peterson on May 23, 1946 and
was a loving father to 3 daughters. He served his country for 20 honorable
years with 20 more in civil service at Hill Air Force Base. Dad was a kind and
charitable man who would help anyone anytime with his skilled mechanical
ability. He loved animals and he said they "liked him back". We'll miss dad
but know he is in the loving arms of his wife, Ida and his mom and dad. Mom
passed away June 4, 1989 and Dad leaves behind three daughters: Kathi Bowman
(Merlin), Debbie Rees (Randy) and Sandy Watters (Bob); eight grandchildren,
Brookelle, Adam, Nathan, Ashlee, Patrick, Erick, Matthew and Sara; and five
great-grandchildren, Hannah, Hayden, Hunter, Melaina and McKay whom he adored.
Funeral services will be held Mon., Dec 20, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Russon
Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 No. Main where friends may call from
12:45-1:45 p.m. prior to services. Interment-Bountiful City Cemetery. Dad had
a volume of sayings and at the end he spoke "Bone Sack O Wheels".

Powell, Kerrilyn
Kerrilyn Powell 1979 ~2004  Kerrilyn Powell returned to her Heavenly Father on
Thursday, December 16, 2004, right where she wanted to be   at home.  Kerri
was born November 2, 1979, in Provo, Utah, the daughter of Martin Edward and
Camille Weight Powell, of Springville, Utah, one of the four greatest joys of
their lives. Kerri began her school years at Oakridge School in Provo, and in
1989 she moved to the neighborhood Grant Elementary School. She was a member
of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served as a visiting
teacher. Kerri loved people, and introduced us to hundreds of "grandparents";
Tigger; Sam's Club chocolate chocolate chip muffins; anything bright orange;
her bedroom and waterbed; watching and quoting her 70-plus videos (she knew
all the dialog of most of them); a wide range of music; travel; and especially
her family. Kerri was a delight to all who met her. She was a great hugger,
always happy and cheerful. She expressed herself well, and was quite capable
of letting her preferences be known! She was very independent, and had a
strong will and great determination.  We became concerned about her health on
November 24, and on December 1 during exploratory surgery it was discovered
she had colon cancer. Through her father's blessing following her surgery, and
the multitude of thoughts and prayers of family and friends throughout the
World, Kerri was comfortable and pain free during her final days. Kerri is
survived by her parents; sisters Jennalyn and Jacqelyn; grandmother Pat
Warren, Mt. View, California; aunts and uncles, Myrna Lee (Dean) Tew,
Mapleton; Howard Weight, San Francisco; Melvyn (Janet) Weight, Springville;
Barry (Cec) Weight, Goshen; LaNell (Robert) Riddle, Tracy, California; Kent
(Susanne) Weight, Springville; Mary Jo Weight, Hillsboro, Oregon; Ann Weight,
Mapleton; Babette (Jim) Tarrarida, Brentwood, No. California; Barbara (Joe)
Rocca, Milpitas, California; many great aunts and uncles; and cousins. She was
preceded in death by her brother Martin B. Powell, grandparents Nolan and
Aileen Vane Weight, and other loved ones who were the beneficiaries of her
great joy, love and new found ability to truly express herself. Special thanks
is expressed to all who loved and supported Kerri and her family through this
difficult time, with special thanks to Sharlee, Jill and Shiloh; Dr. Marcia
Litzinger, neurologist and friend; and VistaCare Hospice, which allowed Kerri
to part comfortably, peacefully, and at home. Funeral services will be held on
Monday, December 20, 2004, at 11:00 a.m., in the HobbleCreek Stake House, 450

Joyce JuddWatson 1919 ~ 2004  Joyce Judd Watson passed away December 17, 2004
in Cedar City, UT. She was born in Panguitch, UT on November 2, 1919, the
daughter of Thomas Judd and Elizabeth Heywood. Her childhood years were spent
in Delta, UT and she graduated from Branch Agricultural College in Cedar City,
UT.  Joyce married L. Dee Watson on March 4, 1940 in Cedar City, UT, later
solemnized in the St. George Temple. Throughout her life, she devoted her
talents and energies to her husband, her family and her church. She was an
active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her proudest
accomplishment was her family. She is survived by her husband L. Dee; her
children Paul (Linda) of Brigham City, UT, Jean (John) Allred of West Point,
UT, Kent (Connie) of Salt Lake City, UT, Collin (Nancy) of Salt Lake City, UT,
and Doug (Nancy) of Birmingham, AL; 19 grandchildren and 24 great
grandchildren; brother David (Rita) Judd; sisters Janet (Kenneth) Wellington,
Jean (Ivan) Andrus, and Juneal (Robert) Johnson. Preceded in death by her
infant daughter Elizabeth and brother Richard (Betty) Judd. Funeral services

Beverly Ridd Zimmerman Williams 7/25/26 ~ 12/17/04 Beverly, our beloved
Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Friend passed away on December 17, 2004. She
was born on July 25, 1926 to Clyde and Margaret Ridd. She married Gerald H.
Zimmerman on July 3, 1944. Was widowed and married Ned Williams on October 12,
1991. Beverly had a wonderful life. Her favorite times were those spent with
family and friends. She enjoyed planting flowers, creating beautiful floral
pots, playing family games and reading. Her flowers flourished in her garden
with her tender care just like everyone whose life she touched. She will truly
be missed by all of us. She is survived by her children, Sandra (Ron) Bell,
Susan Hansen, Gerald H. (Sue) Zimmerman II, and Brian (Annette) Zimmerman;
nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; sisters, Marilyn (Dean) Pyper
and Sheri (Wilf)Heyman ; and her best friend, Ned Williams. Her parents Clyde
Ridd and Margaret Hagen Ridd, her husband, Gerald H. Zimmerman, and her sister
Carol Zimmerman preceded her in death. Private graveside services for family
and close friends will be held Tuesday, December 21st, 11:00 a.m. at Redwood
Memorial Mortuary, 6500 S. Redwood Road, with those attending invited to a

Young, June Spencer
June Spencer Young 1918 ~ 2004  June Spencer Young passed away peacefully at
the home of her daughter, Anita, on December 14, 2004. Her son, Mel, and Anita
were at her side. Born June 8, 1918 in Salt Lake City, June was the daughter
of Samuel Gedge and Anna Margaret Kriele Spencer. June graduated from West
High School where she wrote for the school newspaper and was a graduation
speaker. She completed two years at the University of Utah before she married
her sweetheart, Elmer Richard Young, in the Salt Lake Temple on July 20, 1938.
They spent the first 10 years of their married life in Brooklyn, New York.
Returning to Salt Lake in 1948, June and Elmer raised their seven children in
Salt Lake City. The joy and focus of June's life was her husband, her
children, and selfless service to others. Her legacy of quiet, anonymous
service blessed the lives of countless individuals. June was an active member
of the LDS Church, serving in the Primary and Young Women's organization and
as a Relief Society president several times. In her later years, she enjoyed
working as a name extractor and serving in the temple. She was a PTA
president, DUP Captain, Voting Registrar and Election Judge. For over 10 years
June opened her home to be used as a polling place. She compiled and published
a book about her grandfather, Samuel George Spencer. Along with her husband,
Elmer, a professor of accounting from 1948-1980, June was a loyal Ute fan. She
was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elmer, and a brother-in-law,
Martin A. Backer. She is survived by her sisters, Phoebe S. Backer and Blanche
S. (Don) Kelly, and brother, Eugene K. (Ruth) Spencer, all of Salt Lake and
her seven children: Dr. John S. (Ilse) Young, Salt Lake; Lowell S. (Joan)
Young, Wayne, PA; Melvin S. (Joan) Young, Salt Lake; Margaret (James)
Petersen, Doylestown, PA; George S. (Debbie) Young, Boulder CO; Richard S.
(Jeanne) Young, Orem and Anita (Joe) Hallman, Salt Lake; 35 grandchildren and
35 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 21,
2004 at Noon at the Monument Park Stake Center, 1320 So. Wasatch Drive.
Friends may call Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 E. 1300 So.,
and from 10:45-11:45 a.m. prior to the services at the stake center.
