Andersen, Josie Strange
Josie Strange Andersen 1909 ~ 2004  Josie Strange Andersen, 95, our dear mom
and grandma, passed away Nov. 19, 2004, at her home surrounded by her loving
family. Josie was born August 12, 1909 in Lund, Idaho to John and Annie
Peterson Strange. She was the youngest of 10 children. Her family moved from
the small log cabin in Idaho to Murray, Utah where she met and married Carl
Ingeman Andersen. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Ing passed away in 1957. When the freeway took the family home, Josie moved to
Midvale. She lived independently for nearly 50 years. Josie retired from the
LDS Church Membership Department where she was a Supervisor over Maps. Her
family will cherish her beautiful afghans and embroidery projects. Survivors:
daughters, LaVon Cole (Dale), and Joanne Douglas; five grandchildren; 22
great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grand daughter. Preceded in death by
her husband; infant daughter, Beverly; and nine brothers and sisters. Funeral
services will be held Monday, Nov. 22, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. in the Midvale 1st
LDS Ward 308 W. 7500 S. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary 8090 So. State
Sun.6-8 p.m. or Mon. at the church from 9:45-10:45 a.m.  Interment, Murray
City Cemetery.

Bredsguard, Vera Larsen
Vera Larsen Bredsguard 1919 ~ 2004  Vera was born April 9, 1919 in Glenwood,
Utah to Terrance and Ruth Kierstead Larsen. She died at 3:00 a.m. Wednesday,
Nov. 17 in LDS Hospital as a result of a car accident. She married Heber M.
Bredsguard on April 6, 1940, later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
They have two children Janet (Gary) Davis and Roger H. (Pat) Bredsguard; four
grandchildren: Bob, Kurt, Lori and Cyndy; 16 great-grandchildren. Vera had six
brothers and three sisters: Lloyd, Gerald, Carl, Hal, Art, Carlyle, Jane,
Janis and Norma.  Preceded in death by her parents and all siblings except Hal
(Helen) Larsen of Hurricane, Utah. My wife was a wonderful homemaker, my
sweetheart for 64 years and will be forever! She was dedicated to family
genealogical research and temple sealing and her Primary class, she taught
years ago. Funeral services Monday, November 22, 2004, 12:00 Noon, Whittier
Ward, 1515 S. 2nd E., Salt Lake City. Viewing, Sunday, Nov. 21 from 6-8 p.m.,
Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple and one hour prior to services at the
ward. Interment Farmington City Cemetery. The family wish to thank the
dedicated staff of LDS Hospital for their loving care and kindness.

Collings, Perry Holton "Pete"
Perry "Pete" Holton Collings 1927 ~ 2004  MAGNA - God saw the road was getting
rough and hills were hard to climb, so he closed your weary eyelids and
whispered, "Peace be thine." Surrounded in love Perry "Pete" Holton Collings
passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2004.  He was born December 8, 1927 to
Thomas W. and Hortense Holton Collings. He married his sweetheart of 57 years,
Maxine Bezzant for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on May
14, 1947. Together they had three children, Tim (Padma) Collings, Cindy
(Steve) Westover, and Julie (Garth) Haslem; and five grandsons. He is also
survived by six brothers and three sisters. Dad loved to golf, bowl, and fish
for hours, but most of all he loved being surrounded by his children and
grandchildren. The family would like to express their love and gratitude to
Life Path Hospice especially Jolene, C.J. and Kathryn for the care and support
they provided to our entire family. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon
Monday, Nov 22, 2004 in the Magna Central Stake Center, 8181 West 3320 South.
Friends may call Sunday 6-8 p.m. at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W. 2700 So., and
Monday 11-11:45 a.m. at the church. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.

Jensen, Margaret Brown
Margaret Brown Jensen "GRAM" 1937 ~ 2004  FARMINGTON Marge has now left to
join her Heavenly Father and those who had loved her here, including her
parents and three grandsons. She left November 19, 2004 after a courageous
battle with ovarian cancer. Margaret Louise Brown Jensen was born April 15,
1937 in Fallon, Nevada to Elna Elizabeth Olsen and Keith Hansen Brown. She
married M. Boyd Jensen June 20 1953. It was later solemnized in the Salt Lake
City LDS Temple May 24, 1962. She was a member of the LDS church and held many
positions over the years. She loved genealogy and the chance to reach out to
her beloved ancestors. She was a wonderful Mother, and her grandchildren
adored her. She will be so missed by us all.  Marge is survived by her loving
husband Boyd, who has taken such great care of her; two daughters: Julie
(John) Waite, Brentwood, Tennessee; Tammy (Rick) Boyce, Farmington, Utah; two
sons: Michael B. Jensen, Hayward, California; Monte B. (Kristin) Jensen,
Layton, Utah; 15 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren; two sisters:
Shirley Newman, Fran Smith; two brothers: Melvin Gorman, and Lynn Gorman.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday November 22, 2004 at the
Farmington South Stake Center 695 South 200 E. friends may call Sunday
November 21 from 6-8 p.m. at Lindquist's Bountiful Mortuary 727 North 400 E.
and Monday at the Stake Center from 12:45-1:45 p.m. Interment: Farmington City

Johnson, Nena Richins
Nena Richins Johnson 1919 ~ 2004  Nena Elizabeth Richins Johnson, 84, passed
away Thursday, Nov 18, 2004 at her home surrounded by family.  She was born
November 29, 1919 in Orem, Utah, the first child of Ellis William and Sarah
Darlene Barrett Richins. She married Fay R Johnson October 15, 1938 in Provo,
Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Together they are the parents of five children. Nena attended school in Provo
and graduated from Provo High School. She was active in the LDS Church,
serving in various callings; her favorite being in the Primary. She loved
music and performed with many groups including The Chauntenette Choir and Gay
90's. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her devoted
example of service and her strength were evident in all she did; including
beating the odds and surviving breast cancer. She will be greatly missed. She
is survived by her children: Joyce Ann Bunting, Pasa Robles, CA; William R.
Johnson, Murray, UT; David F. (June) Johnson, Salem, UT; J. Neil (Marilyn)
Johnson, Orem, UT; and Jerry R. (Jeanie) Johnson, Pleasant Grove, UT; and by
17 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her
siblings: Max E. (Marie) Richins, UT; LaVell D. Richins, Wallsburg, UT; June
Krueger, St. George, UT; W. Fred (Pam) Richins, West Jordan, UT; Deon
(Cordell) Baird, Syracuse, UT; and M. Arlene (Gary) Moberly, Yuma, AZ. Funeral
services will be held Monday, November 22, 2004 at 11 a.m. at the Salem 12th
Ward Chapel, 160 South 460 West, with a viewing from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to
the services. A viewing will also be held Sunday, Nov 21, 2004 from 6-8 p.m.
at the Orem Timpview 10th Ward, 950 West 1200 North. Interment will be in the

Klotovich, Mary Mitchell
Mary Mitchell Klotovich God's Greatest Gift  She lived a simple life in a
complex time. Wife, mother, grandmother, Mary Minnie Mitchell Klotovich has
gone home to her Father on November 17, 2004. She was a dedicated daughter of
God and was a dedicated wife and mother. She married her "Cookie" Mark M.
Klotovich on May 29, 1937. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt
Lake Temple on January 28, 1955. She was "God's Greatest Gift" to her family
and her many friends. She was a wonderful example to all. She shared her
talents in this life to make her home and world a better place. A haven during
storms her home was open to all. Mom loved being a wife, mother, grandmother,
great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. She climbed many mountains to
make her life successful. Her love was of family, church, music, playing piano
and organ, cleaning, baking, sewing, embroidery and giving service. Mom has
influenced many. Her gift was integrity and selflessness. When called upon to
serve, she gave her best every time all the time. She has left a legacy with
those who knew her. Her family will carry their love for her always. Thank you
Mom for your love and example. She is survived by her husband Mark and sons
Mark and Joe and her daughters Annette, Mary Lynn, and Maureen. She will be
missed by her many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great
grandchildren. She passed on peacefully at her home with her family at her
side. A special thanks to Haven Health Hospice Care. Funeral Services will be

Martinez, Joann
Joann Martinez 1938 ~ 2004  On March 13, 1938 God sent his sweetest angel to
earth.  Our mom was born in Salt Lake City to Delma Miller and Parley Harrison
Marsh. On the morning of Nov. 18, 2004 God brought his angel home. Joann loved
her friends, the Jazz, and her two dogs, Sugar and Mac, and especially her
children, Ruby Martinez, Jack Martinez, Lisa (Sean) Goodfellow, and Shelly
Sanchez. She is survived by three children; four grandchildren, Darren,
Stephanie (Dylan), Ashley, and Colton; brother, Jack (Katie) Marsh; two
sisters, Parlene Shepard and Bonnie (Emmett) Rodriquez; step sister, Betty
(Doug) Parker; lots of nieces and nephews; and very close niece, Diana
Naranjo. Preceded in death by her son, Jack; brothers, George and Paul Marsh;
and sister, Jeanette Gamar. We would like to recognize the families of Renee
McClellan, Beccy Marshall, Denna Shenka, Lisa Jones, and Kim Walters who were
all a part of her family. We would also like to thank all those who took such
good care of our mom. Thank you. Graveside services will be held 10:30 a.m.

Maxwell, William N.
William N Maxwell "Bill"  Salina, Utah - William "Bill" N. Maxwell, age 86,
passed away unexpectedly from us on November 18, 2004 at his home in Salina. 
He was born July 31, 1918 in Whigham, Georgia, a son of Jesse Robert and Ethel
Hurst Maxwell. He served his country proudly in the US Navy during World War
II on the Pacific front. Bill married Lola Shepherd on June 28, 1939 in
Richfield, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple on
March 22, 1980.  Bill loved keeping his yard and garden well groomed.  He
loved fishing and hunting with his three sons and fishing buddies. He was a
member of the Salina American Legion Post #36 for 53 years. He was convert to
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served faithfully in
his callings.  Bill is survived by wife and companion of 65 years, Lola
Maxwell of Salina; daughter, Geraldine and Ron Thompson of Colorado Springs,
CO; three sons, Ronald and Mandy Maxwell of Weatherford, TX; Robert and
Suzette Maxwell of Sandy; Jim and Terri Maxwell of Salina; 15 grandchildren;
18 great-grand children; brother, Edd and Faye Maxwell of Bradenton, FL. He
was preceded in death by five brothers.  Funeral services will be held Monday,
November 22, 2004 at 12 Noon in the Salina LDS Stake Center, 98 W. 400 N. in
Salina. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in
Salina, Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. and at the Stake Center, Monday morning

McLane, Lois Guinevere DeLaMare
Lois Guinevere DeLaMare McLane (Gwen)  Gwen McLane, our loving mother,
grandmother, and dearest friend, died Wed., November 17, 2004. Her remarkable
spirit and amazing strength endeared her to all who knew her. Gwen was born
April 25, 1915, the oldest child of three born to Robert Guy and Rachel Wills
DeLaMare. Her mother died three years later in the great influenza pandemic.
Her father then married Rachel's sister Mary and their family grew to six
children. She married Robert Emmett McLane on January 25, 1940 and they
remained together until his death in May, 1990. Gwen was employed for many
years as office manager for Drs. Tauffer, Winget, and Associates and later for
the State of Utah, but she devoted her life to her husband and five children.
She was animated and adventurous and willing to try most anything once,
including skiing, traveling, dancing and camping well into her mid 80's. She
could walk faster and further than most people half her age and used this
strength to serve her family and friends. Her sweet nature forbid her from
demeaning others, save the occasional Republican politician. Gwen was a member
of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as an example of
tolerance with good will toward all people of this earth. Gwen's youngest
child Gary died in January, 2003. She missed him so very much. Her remaining
children, Patrick, Park City; John (Dian), Salt Lake; Barbara, Salt Lake; and
Susan (Hal) Smith, Homer, Alaska, are now missing her as are her 11
grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. Her younger sister and four
brothers have preceded her in death. A celebration of Gwen's life will be held
Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2004 at 11 a.m. at Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary, 2350 E. 1300
S., Salt Lake City, UT. She will be interred with her husband and son at Mt.
Olivet Cemetery.  Please remember this elegant lady with a donation in her
name to the Utah AIDS Foundation, 1408 South 1100 East, Salt Lake City, Utah
84105. Or just speak kind words to someone, as Gwen would do.

Miller, Allen Brent
Allen Brent Miller 1/23/46 ~ 11/16/04  Our beloved father, son, brother, uncle
and friend has moved on to a pain free and better place.  Survived by his son
Samuel (Sam) Miller recently returned from Iraq; his mother Arvella J. Miller,
two sisters and three brothers, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Preceded in death by his wife Eileen, father, and two sisters.  At the request
of Allen there will be no services. Cremation has been arranged and his ashes
will be distributed as specified by the deceased at a favorite mountain spot
where many enjoyable hunting seasons occurred.

Nielsen, Ramona
Ramona Nielsen 1919 ~ 2004  Ramona Allen Maughan Nielsen, 85, passed from this
life on November 18, 2004 at her youngest son's home in Moscow, Idaho. She was
born in the home of her Grandfather Joseph Smith Allen in Hyrum, Utah on June
3, 1919 as the second child and oldest daughter of Louis Parkinson Maughan and
Florence Allen Maughan. Florence died while the family was yet young, leaving
Louis with three young children. Louis then married Ethel Redford Maughan, who
continued rearing the family and with whom Louis had three more  children. 
Ramona spent her young life and school years in Hyrum and Cache Valley. She
married Grant Edgar Nielsen in the Logan LDS Temple in 1937. Grant and Ramona
together had seven children and raised their family in Hyrum, southern
California, Salt Lake City, and Bountiful. They divorced in 1965. Late in her
life she met and married Reed Wittwer in St. George. He died  in 1991. Ramona
Nielsen was an independent, talented and hard working woman and devoted mother
who always put her children first. She was supportive, encouraging and proud
of her family. She loved her brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews and spent
many weekends in Cache Valley with family. Ramona worked in a variety of
occupations throughout her life including at the Defense Depot in Ogden during
World War II and for many years at LDS Hospital as a supervisor in the
Housekeeping Department and scheduler in the Surgery Department. After
retirement she served as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints in south central California. Ramona loved the beauty and
inspiration of the outdoors and enjoyed many years camping with her family in
Yellowstone, the mountains of northern Utah, and the deserts of southern Utah.
She and her youngest son Mark made many backpacking trips in the Grand Teton
Mountains of Wyoming and Cascade Mountains of Washington. For the last five
years she made her residence in Moscow, Idaho with Mark's family, but traveled
frequently to visit all her children and grandchildren in various parts of the
country. Ramona's first child Patricia Florence, died in 1944 at the age of
five.  She is also preceded in death by her brother Louis and great-grandchild
Melissa Morrison. She is survived and revered by her children Shirlee Ann Hall
(Kent), G. Barry (Jeannine), Steven L. (Debra), Douglas E. (Carolyn), D.
Michael (Carolyn), and Mark J. (Barbara), 26 grandchildren, and 32
great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Flora Obray, Arlene
Leichty, and LaRee Watkins, her brother Gerald Maughan, and sister-in-law Jean
Maughan. The family will greet friends at the Russon Brothers Mortuary 295
North Main Street in Bountiful Monday, November 22nd 6-8 p.m. Funeral services
will be held in the Hyrum Second Ward building 450 E. 100 S. in Hyrum, Utah on
Tuesday, November 23rd at 12 Noon. Burial will follow in the Hyrum City
Cemetery.

Olsen, Ca Leane Thomas
Ca Leane Thomas Olsen 6/29/33 ~ 11/17/04  WEST VALLEY CITY   Ca Leane Thomas
Olsen, 71 returned to her Father in Heaven and heavenly family on November 17. 
She was born on June 29, 1933 to Earnest and Ethel Thomas in Salt Lake City.
She was the loving wife of John F. Olsen and mother of six children: Cindee,
John, Lauree, Stacee, Taud and Cammee. She is survived by her sister, Dona
Earl, two sons-in-law, 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grand children with two
great-great-grand-children on the way and many loved ones "you know who you
are." Preceded in death by her parents, husband John, 16 siblings and a
daughter in-law.  Mom is finally at peace. She is with our dad. Rest mom; we
love you. No children have been more blessed by the sacrifices you made for
us. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, November 21, at 11:00 a.m.,
with a viewing beginning at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be at Lake Hills Memorial
Cemetery, 10055 S. State Street, following the services.

Olsen, Von Roy
Von Roy Olsen 1934 ~ 2004  BRIGHAM CITY   The neighborhood candy man has gone
to heaven to pass out candy to the angel children.  Von Roy Olsen born July
25, 1934 in Logan, Utah, son of Derwood D Olsen and Jacob LeGrande and Juanita
Hatch Olsen Bollschweiler. Von returned to his Heavenly Father on Thursday,
Nov. 18, 2004 at his home with his wife and family by his side. He was
diagnosed with Prostate Cancer. He was raised in Ogden, and Salt Lake City. He
also lived in Mountain Green and Brigham City. He joined the Army and served
his country with honor. His military service took him to CA, MA, NJ, and the
Philippines. Von was employed at HAFB for 30 years working in Building 100 and
the Engineering Test Facility. He worked on the Titan, Bomark and Minute Man
Missiles traveling throughout the United States in the electronic field. He
retired in 1989. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints, serving in many capacities. He served a two and a half
years mission with his wife, Sharon, at the Ogden Temple as an Ordinance
Worker. He always said it was the best non-paying job he ever had, but the
blessings were immeasurable. Von was married in 1980 to Sharon Stokes and in
1983 their marriage was solemnized in the Logan Temple. His hobbies were
fishing, fishing, and fishing. He also enjoyed electronics, music and getting
together with family and friends for an evening of table games. His greatest
dream was to go fishing and tour Alaska, which he did during the summer of
2004. He loved life, his immediate and extended family and his many cherished
friends. Surviving are his wife, Sharon, Brigham City, his children, Cindy
(Richard) Cook, Salt Lake City; Rebecca (Randy) Harris, Elizabeth, CO; Tallon
Olsen, Layton; Michael (Stacey) Olsen, Kirkland, WA; Troy (Corie) Olsen, Coure
d'Alene, ID; Curtis (Allison) Olsen, Layton; Sheri (Tyler) Ford, Spanish Fork,
UT; 14 « grandchildren, one great grandson; brothers, Jack H. (Pauline) Olsen,
Corinne, UT; Evan Q. (Karin) Olsen, Farmington; sister, Derita (Jay) Trappett,
Murray; in-laws, Alvin DeVere and Marva Stokes, Perry, and many extended
relatives. Funeral services will be Monday, Nov. 22, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. at
the River Ward Chapel, 529 N. 100 W., Brigham City. Friends may call Sun. 6-8

Olson, June
June Olson "Shorty"  Our loving wife, mom and grandma, June Olson, passed away
November 15, 2004 in South Jordan, Utah.  She was born June 20, 1919 in Sandy,
Utah to Lewis P. and Mary Jane Jones Webster. Married Clyde L. Olson in Union,
Utah on August 26, 1939. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS
Temple. June enjoyed fishing and hunting with Clyde and her family. She was an
expert gardener, wonderful cook and loved crocheting, puzzles and games. Her
greatest joy was traveling with Clyde and being a constant  support to him.
Survived by her loving husband, Clyde, who tenderly cared for her; also her
children, Peggy (Michael) Wright, West Jordan; Shirley (Gale) Trapp, Oregon;
Linda (Ron) Burton, South Jordan; and Mary Jane (Paul) Grizzard, Oregon; 13
grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter;
brother, Verl Webster; sisters, Mabel Handley and Lizzie Beckstead. Preceded
in death by six brothers and sisters and one great grandson. The family
expresses a special thank you to Juanita Kiplinger for her dedicated and

Posselli, Lawrence D.
Lawrence D. Posselli "Our Pillar, Our Paragon"  Lawrence D. Posselli, caring
husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend, passed away peacefully
Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 16, 2004. He was born May 29, 1914 in Salt Lake City
to his hardworking immigrant parents, Dominick and Carmella Posselli. He
eloped with the girl next door, the love of his life, Fina Chiodo, September
5, 1933. The marriage was solemnized two days later in Salt Lake City's St.
Patrick's Catholic Church.  Lawrence was the model patriarch. He exuded
strength and confidence while still showering his family and friends with
warmth and affection. He was the caring spouse, the doting father, the trusted
adviser, the nurturing mentor and the truest of friends. His door was always
open and he was generous without expectation, both with his time and with his
resources.  Lawrence worked for Salt Lake City as both Chief Deputy Auditor
and Licensing Director, and for Salt Lake County as Chief Deputy Auditor in
between. He and his wife relished their time together on the dance floor and
traveling. He also enjoyed bowling and later took up golf, prior to losing his
eyesight.  Although his loss of sight robbed him of his cherished role of
caretaker, it could never rob him of his playful spirit, his cheeky sense of
humor and his thoughtful and charitable nature. Lawrence is survived by his
son Ronald (Cindy); sister Sue; brothers Tony and Gene; six grandchildren; 12
great grandchildren, and 10 great great-grandchildren. He was preceded in
death by his wife, daughter JoAnn (Chuck) Westbrook and brother Louis. 
Special thanks to Julia daNobrega, his patient and loving caregiver for the
last year and a half. A viewing and holy rosary will be held Sunday, Nov. 21
at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be
held Monday, Nov. 22, 2004 at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, 1058 W. 400
South. Friends are invited to visit one hour prior to the services. Interment
will be at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery. "We make a living by what we get,

Worthen, Virginia M.
Virginia Worthen 1918 ~ 2004  Our loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and
friend, Virginia M. Worthen, 86, a long time Magna resident passed away
Nov.18,  2004. Born July 9, 1918 to goodly parents, Anders Peter and May
Catten Nielsen in Magna, Utah. She married Eugene L. (Gene) Worthen on
September 28, 1938 in Salt Lake City. He preceded her in death in 2000. Mom
was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved to
work with the Primary children and for many years was secretary to the Relief
Society presidency. She was a faithful visiting teacher. We are grateful for
the joyous reunion she will have with our father, her husband of 62 years.
There are many friends and relatives who are awaiting her arrival.  We love
you mom and grandma! She was the special mom of James E (Norma) Taylor, Myrle
(Merrill) Dimick, Gloria (Larry - deceased) DiBello, Eileen (Michael) Bruce.
The proud grandmother of 17 grand-children, 41 great-grandchildren and soon to
be four great-great-grand-children.  She is survived by brothers, Andy
Nielsen, Eldon Nielsen, Eric Nielsen, Frank Nielsen; sister, Marilyn Thompson.
Preceded in death by brother, Norman; sister, Anetha. Funeral services will be
Mon., Nov. 22, at 11 a.m. at the Glenmoor 5th Ward, 4881 W. Cindy Lane (9605
S). A viewing will be Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S.
Redwood Road and Mon. 10-10:40 a.m. at the church. Interment, Valley View
Memorial Park.
