Allen, Irene Fox Burnham
Irene Fox Burnham Allen 1914 ~ 2004  Beloved mother and grandmother, Irene Fox
Burnham Allen, age 90, passed away Nov. 22, 2004 in Lehi, UT.  She was born
Oct. 15, 1914 in Lehi, daughter of Alfred Edward and Alice Maude Bradfield
Fox. She was the last surviving member of her siblings.  She was well known
for her beautiful handwork and her life of service to her parents, siblings
and family. She married Eugene Kipling Burnham on May 21, 1938. Marriage
solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple Nov. 29, 1951. He passed away June 11,
1956. She later married Stewart Allen on April 8, 1960. He passed away Dec.
22, 1984. She is survived by her children, Rex (Geraldine) Burnham, Lehi,
Keith (Shirley) Burnham, Eagle Mtn., Sherry (Larry) Nussbaum, West Point; 18
grandchildren; 28 great-grand-children; one great-great-grandchild. She was
preceded in death by both husbands, one son, Larry Fox Burnham, parents, six
sisters and one brother. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, Nov. 27,
2004, at 11:00 a.m., in the Wing Mortuay Chapel, 118 E. Main, Lehi. Friends
and family may call Friday evening from 6-7:30 p.m., and one hour prior to
services on Saturday. Interment, Lehi City Cemetery.

Faber, Danny Douglas
Danny Douglas Faber "The Caboose"  Danny Douglas Faber passed away peacefully
in his sleep on November 22, 2004 after losing a courageous battle with life. 
Dan was born on August 5, 1952 to Rose Krznovich and Karl J. Faber, the
youngest of six children. He was an avid animal lover, especially fond of
horses. Dan was a caretaker with a heart of gold, always giving to many
homeless and people with less than him. Dan was preceded in death by both his
mother and father and is survived by his older brother Grant "Buck" (Shauna),
sister Karla (Chuck) Alvey, brothers Michael (Paula), Terry (Pam) and David
(Amalia). Dan is also survived by many nieces and nephews who loved him.  Our
special heartfelt thanks to Dr. Razado, Dayna and Mitzi at the U of U, Karen,
Jennifer and Tricia at CNS Hospice and to the entire staff at Crossland Care
Center for all your love, guidance and understanding. Memorial services will
be held Friday, November 26, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760
So. State St. where friends and family may call from 12:00-1:00 p.m. Inurnment
to follow at Murray City Cemetery.  We will miss you Danny. The world and our
family were better because of you. All our Love, Sis, Buck, Mike, Terry and

Fairbanks, Wilder Ned
Wilder Ned Fairbanks 1925 ~ 2004  WILLARD - Wilder Ned Fairbanks, died
peacefully at his home, November 22, 2004, surrounded by his wife and all five
of his children.  He was born November 9, 1925, a son of Wilder Fairbanks and
Laura Mabel McKown Fairbanks. Ned was reared in the Duchesne area by kind and
loving parents and had a happy young life. He enjoyed the mountains and
streams, fishing and hunting and all the various sports that were available.
He was educated in Duchesne schools and on June 30, 1943, married Althora
Mayhew in Provo, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS
Temple on June 20, 1944. Ned served in the Pacific during World War II with
the 27th regiment of the 25th division. He returned to Duchesne after the war
where he owned and operated a farm, worked in the Duchesne post office, and
served in various church and civic assignments, including scoutmaster, Elders
Quorum president and county chairman of the American Red Cross. In 1955, Ned
transferred to the postal service in Ogden, Utah where he worked until
retirement in 1980. He and Althora purchased a fruit farm in South Willard in
1961, where they built a home. His life was centered around his wife and
family. He loved his wife, children and grandchildren dearly. He loved living
in the country and working on his farm. Ned enjoyed the great outdoors and
liked to travel. He loved God, his country and was always proud to be an
American. He was a member of the Willard 3rd Ward where he served as a Sunday
School president, councilor in the bishopric and several years in the High
Priest Group leadership. He is survived by his loving wife, Althora, his sons,
Michael Ned (Holly) Fairbanks, Mark Stephen (Darcy) Fairbanks, daughters,
Suzanne Althora (Larry) Williamson, Sharla Rae (Doug) Lemon, and Sherri Lee
(Gary) Swinden. He and Althora are proud grandparents to 17 grandchildren and
nine great-grandchildren. Also surviving a sister, Maxine Robinson. He is
preceded in death by brother, Joseph (Little Joe) Fairbanks, sister, Arlene
Smith. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2004 at 11:00 a.m.
at the Willard Peak Chapel, 665 W. 7615 S., Willard. Friends may call on
Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City and on
Tuesday from 10:00-10:40 a.m. at the Willard Peak Chapel. Interment will be in
the Willard Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you to
all the doctors, nurses and caregivers who provided tender loving care

Green, Milton Charles
Milton Charles Green 1928 ~ 2004  Milton Charles Green returned to his
Heavenly father peacefully at his home in Centerville on Nov 22, 2004.  He was
born in Salt Lake City, Utah on May 27, 1928 to William C. And Mary Layton
Green. Milt was married for 55 years to his childhood sweetheart, and best
friend, Joyce McNeil, on April 9, 1949. Sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple,
November 18, 1955. Milt was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saint and served in many callings throughout his lifetime.
Presidencies of Young Men's and Elders Quorums. Milt worked hard all his life
starting as a small boy in the onion fields of Woods Cross. He joined the Navy
in 1945 and served in the Pacific theater. Upon returning home, he worked for
Phillips Refinery and was founder of M.C. Green, Inc., later to become M.C.
Green and Sons, Inc. He was always proud of the quality of his work and many
large contracts were made on the shake of a hand. His hard working ethics are
a legacy that continues today through the hardworking men who continue to work
for the company. Milt and Joyce were members of the Oakridge Country Club,
where they participated in their love of golf with lifetime friends and he
served on the board and as president. Milt loved to golf, many days playing 36
holes. He had 3 hole-in-ones and had the most fun playing with his children
and grandchildren of whom he was most proud. Milt and his beloved wife
traveled many places in the world with Hawaii being his favorite destination.
Milt was fun to travel with and enjoyed reading and was a walking encyclopedia
of facts he had studied. He loved to garden and won five Salt Lake Tribune
Civic Beautification awards. Many happy hours were spent with his
grandchildren working in his garden. His yard was a tribute to a great man who
loved life, family and friends. He authored four books and was a member of the
Bountiful Literary Guild. Milt studied and graduated from the International
Architectural School.  He is survived by his wife, Joyce; two sisters and one
brother and five loving children, Connee Tingey, Brad (Susan), Mark (Lisa),
Susan (Wally St. Joer), and Bill; 16 grandchildren; and nine
great-grandchildren.  Services will be held Saturday, November 27, 2004 at
11:00 a.m. at the Centerville South Stake Center, 270 N. 300 E. Friends may
call Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 N. Main
and Saturday morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church prior to services.

Johnsen, Ferris Mehner
Lt . Col Ferris Mehner Johnsen 7/14/22 ~ 11/3/04  Our dear sweet father,
brother, and grandfather returned home to join his eternal companion Lorna
Luella Johnsen, Wednesday, November 3, 2004. What a joyous reunion for them to
be together again. Ferris was the fourth son of Ervin Daniel Johnsen and Ida
Susanne Mehner Johnsen. He was born July 14, 1922, in Spanish Fork,
Utah.Ferris graduated from East High School and served in the United States
Navy from 1943   1946. He joined the United States Air Force in 1951. During
that same year he met his eternal companion Lorna, and they married September
20, 1951 in the Salt Lake Temple. He served in Florida, England, Utah, Japan,
and Texas. He retired from the Air Force in 1969 and returned to the
University of Utah where he received a Masters degree in Education. He was
appointed the Media Director at the Salt Lake Community College in 1970 and
retired in 1979. Ferris was active in the LDS church where he held numerous
callings and served them faithfully. He was a member of the Mormon Tabernacle
Choir for 6 years and loved every minute of it! He had a deep love for his
family and a strong testimony of the gospel. He was very proud to be an
American. All appreciated his sense of humor. He loved writing, music and
nature. He had a passion for learning and education. He would tell family and
friends, "Knowledge is Power!" Ferris completed several books, some of which
have been published. He was a kind, loving father and was adored by his
grandchildren. He is survived by his son, Kent, (Sandra) Johnsen, Newark,
Delaware, daughter, Tauna Jacobsen, Alpine, Utah, grandchildren; Lauren,
Matthew, Shelley, Angela, Sheila, Emily, and Noel, brothers; Ervin Mehner
Johnsen, (Shirley) Salt Lake City, Utah, Fred Mehner Johnsen, Bountiful, Utah,
Norden Mehner Johnsen, (Joyce), Salt Lake City, Utah, Woodrow Mehner Johnsen,
(Sheryl), Salt Lake City, Utah and his sister Ruby Adolphson, Bountiful, Utah
as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday,
November 27, 2004 at 12:00 noon at the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401
South Highland Drive, Salt Lake city, Utah. Friends may call from 10:00-11:45
a.m. prior to the services. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. We will
miss his love.

Leggett, Charles Ernest
Charles Ernest Leggett "Chick" Beloved husband, dad, grandpa  Charles Ernest
Leggett passed away Nov. 21, 2004 at his home in Sandy.  Born Oct. 8, 1938 in
Salt Lake City to Ernest Edmond and Eleanor Benson Leggett. He married Eva
Marie Gardner, Nov. 16, 1964. Chick was a loving husband, a devoted dad and
grandpa. His greatest joy was being with his family. He had a great love of
the outdoors which he passed on to his kids. Fishing and hunting with his sons
was a treasure. He loved to work with his hands and build. He was more than a
woodworker, he was a craftsman who passed his legacy and love of building on
to his sons. He loved to work. He found his inner peace and solitude working
in his yard. He was always fair. He truly lived the golden rule. He was a hard
worker, a good neighbor and gave of himself without question or praise. I pray
that I may live to fish until my dying day, and when it comes to my last task,
I then most humbly pray, when in the Lord's great landing net and peacefully
asleep, that in his mercy I be judged, big enough to keep.  We love and miss
you dad. Survived by his wife, E. Marie Leggett; daughter Cindy (Todd) Mayhew;
son Ryan (Timi) Leggett; daughter Mardee (Robb) Johnson, son Tyler (Sunny)
Leggett; nine grandchildren; sister Beverly Esmeyer, sister Shirley Cowley;
sister Marilyn Morgan; Carolyn Devonish. Preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held Saturday Nov. 27, 2004 at 12 noon at the
Crescent 2nd Ward Chapel, 10975 So. Prescott Dr. Sandy, UT. Friends and family
may call Friday, Nov. 26 from 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley 1007 W.

Marchant, Iris Russell
Iris Russell Marchant 1925 ~ 2004  "Loving Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma, and
Sister" Iris Russell Marchant, 79, our special Mom and Grandma, passed away
November 22, 2004.  She was born July 30, 1925 in Marion, Utah to Charles
Lyman and Vera Gibbons Russell. On September 25, 1946, Iris married John
Harold Marchant in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. John preceded her in death in
1993. Iris was a faithful member of the LDS Church who gave compassion to all
in need. She served on the Midvale City Arts Council and retired from Jordan
School District where she worked as a secretary. She was an avid Ute fan,
enjoyed traveling and camping. Her grandchildren enjoyed her total support in
all their activities. Survivors: children, Michele Teran (Doug), Sandy;
Kristine Ard (DeWayne), Kearns; Cynthia Bates (John), Taylorsville; Annette
Morley (Shawn), So. Jordan; Sherilyn Neuenswander (Mark), Midvale; 17
grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Austin
(Margaret), Raymond (Laurie), Ruth Hathaway, June Smart (Leon), Ina Bulygo,
Charlyn Sorensen, Karma Bruin (Jerry), Nelda Donga. Funeral services will be
held Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. in the Midvale 3rd & 4th Ward,
7825 So. Olympus Street. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary 8090 So. State

Namba, Kumeno Mitooka
Kumeno Mitooka Namba "Bachan"  Kumeno Mitooka Namba, 99, passed away Nov. 20,
2004 in Draper, Utah. She was born October 1, 1905 in Okayama Ken, Japan, to
Kichisuke and Hisano Inukai Mitooka. She married Jin Namba, Feb. 22, 1921. At
the age of 17 she immigrated to the United States to be with her husband. She
returned to Japan only once in her lifetime. Kumeno and Jin settled in West
Jordan, Utah working on farms. They had three sons, Masato, Niyoshi and
Kazuto. In 1943 Jin and Kumeno were able to buy their own farm in Murray,
Utah. In 1962 they sold that farm and bought another farm in Bennion, Utah.
Bachan was well-known for the tomato and pepper plants she sold to the
community. She loved to garden and continued to do so as long as her health
permitted. Bachan was a student of the Senke School of Flower Arranging and
became very proficient in Japanese floral arrangements. She also loved
knitting, playing canasta, and watching sumo wrestling. She was a member of
the Salt Lake Buddhist Temple, Mt. Olympus JACL and the Issei Center. Kumeno
was one of the last surviving Japanese Issei pioneers in the Salt Lake Valley.
Survivors include her son, Kazuto (Hannah) Namba; daughter-in-law, Yukie
Namba; eight grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; seven
great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband, Jin; sons, Masato and
Niyoshi Namba. Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 26, 2004, 12:00 noon
at the Salt Lake Buddhist Temple, 211 W. 100 S. where a viewing will be held
one hour prior to services., Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery. Directed by
McDougal Funeral Home.

Newman, Michael Joseph
Michael Joseph Newman 1939 ~ 2004  Mike Newman passed away on Sunday, November
21, 2004.  He was born on June 20, 1939 in Salt Lake City to Ruth Mullett
Newman and Lloyd Stonebraker Newman. Mike grew up on Clinton Avenue in Salt
Lake City and had the run of Capitol Hill as a child. He attended West High
School and then Olympus High School after his family moved to the Cottonwood
area. Mike was a skilled and proud sheet metal worker. He learned his trade
from his father and began his career at Lloyd Newman Company. He retired in
2001 from Metco. Mike loved the outdoors. He loved riding horses and
motorcycles, and shooting his guns. He is survived by his daughters Charlotte
Hoffman and Mary Michelle Henderson (Randy); grandchildren Mallory, Mitchell,
and Matthew Henderson; and sister Carol Sweet (Paul). Preceded in death by his
parents; brother Vaughn Newman; and sister Joyce Shaw. Graveside services will
be held Friday, November 26, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Lawn Cemetery,
2350 East 1300 South.

Patty, Cynthia Mae
Cynthia Mae Patty 1926 ~ 2004  Cynthia Mae Patty, 78, of American Fork, passed
away peacefully at her home Sunday, November 21, 2004.  Cynthia was born May
30, 1926 in St. David, Arizona, to Charles and Ada Plumb. She married C.
Robert Patty in the Mesa Arizona Temple on February 2, 1947, then lived in
Hawaii, California, Indiana, Colorado, and Utah. The fourth of eight children,
Cynthia was a gifted artist who specialized in oil and watercolor painting of
landscapes, flowers and family. A life-long learner, she held a Masters degree
in art history from Colorado State University and was an accomplished
vocalist, pianist and violinist.  Following the death of her husband in 1981,
Cynthia served a full-time LDS mission in Portland, Oregon. Throughout her
life, she compiled thousands of family history records in her passion of
genealogy, while serving faithfully as Relief Society president and many other
church  responsibilities.  Cynthia is survived by her five children: Dolores
(Lani) Little, Pleasant Grove; Theresa Patty, Grand Junction, Colo.; Robert,
Lehi; Richard, Buda, Tex.; and Timothy, Logan; 20 grandchildren; seven
great-grandchildren; brothers Nathan Plumb, St. George; Alonzo Plumb, Salt
Lake City; Paul Plumb, Denver; Vaughn Plumb, Phoenix, Ariz.; and sister Theda
Adams, Mesa, Ariz. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers,
Marion and Gerald. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004 at
1:00 p.m. in the Battle Creek 8th Ward, 1222 E. Nathaniel, Pleasant Grove.
Friends may call on Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Olpin Family Mortuary,
494 S. 300 E., Pleasant Grove. A brief graveside service will be held Monday,
Nov. 29, 2004 at 1:30 p.m. at the Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 S.
Sheridan Ave., Denver, Colo. The family would like to thank all those who

Pease, Elva Thomson Grant
Elva Thomson Grant Pease 1921 ~ 2004  Our loving wife, mom and grandma, Elva
Pease, passed away November 22, 2004 in Murray, UT. She was 83 years old. 
Elva was born on April 23, 1921 to William LeRoy Thomson and Agnes Marietta
Calkin, in Granite, Utah. She attended West High and Box Elder High. She
married Ernest Artell Grant on December 18, 1937. Their marriage was later
solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. They were married 56 years. Ernie passed
away on June 9, 1994. She married James Clinton Pease on September 8, 1995.
Elva was very talented and creative. She loved to sew, cook, do crafts and
specialized in cake decorating. She made over 100 wedding cakes and many event
cakes. She taught cake decoration in Relief Society and Continuing Education
Program for over 12 years. She was active in her wards and sang in the ward
choir and was a homemaking leader for many years. Elva had a kind word for
everyone and never looked at faults. She loved everyone unconditionally. She
will be greatly missed by many. Elva is survived by her husband, Jim Pease,
and her children, LeRoy (Linda) Grant, Coalville, UT; Michael (Elke) Grant,
Surprize, AZ; David (Penny) Grant, Sandy, UT; Bob (Cathy) Grant, Vernal, UT;
Mary Jean Grant, Murray, UT; Mary Simpson, Taylorsville, UT; Danny (Donna)
Pease, Florence, OR; Diane Burkman, West Jordan, UT. Preceded in death by her
first husband Ernest Grant, and son, Brent.  We would like to thank the staff
of the Willow Wood Care Center for the excellent care and concern given to

Peterson, Ronald Eugene
Ronald Eugene Peterson Ron (Nicodemus)  Ronald Eugene Peterson, Age 72, passed
away Nov. 22, 2004 in West Jordan, Utah.  Ron was born April 22, 1932. His
parents are John Vernon Peterson and Evon Waspe. He served in the U.S. Army,
then married Frances Alice Covington, Oct. 1954: later solemnized in the Salt
Lake Temple. She preceded him in death in 1974. He married Daphne Mecham
Draper in March 1999. Survived by children: Alan Peterson (Diana), Brenda Foil
(Veldon), Wayne Peterson (Annette), Eilene Rowley (Greg), Rex Peterson, Tom
Draper (Regina), Dan Draper, Rachel Draper, Rebekah Strickling (D. Jay),
Andrew Draper (Emily), Jeremy Draper, 27 grandchildren, 15 great
grandchildren, sister, Carolee Kempton (James). Also preceded in death by his
parents, two step-children and one grandson. Funeral services will be
Saturday, Nov. 27 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. View 1st Ward at 8825 S. 3200 W., West
Jordan, Utah, viewing one hour prior to service at chapel and from 7-9 p.m.

Poma, Louie J.
Louie J. Poma 1913 ~ 2004   Louie Joseph Poma, 91, loving husband, father and
grandpa, passed away November 22, 2004 at his home surrounded by his loving
family. Louie was born August 2, 1913 in Scofield, Utah to John and Giovanna
Poma. He was the youngest of three children. His brother Jasper and his sister
Margaret preceded him in death. He married his wife of 70 years, Cleo Ashton,
Oct. 11, 1934 in Salt Lake City, Utah. They were later sealed for time and all
eternity in the Salt Lake Temple on December 16, 1982. They are the parents of
two daughters, Denece and Bonnie. Louie was active in The Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served as a faithful home teacher. He
attended the temple faithfully and rendered much loving service to family,
friends and neighbors. Louie retired as general manager of Varian Associates
in 1978. He is survived by his wife Cleo, daughter Denece (Dale) Howlett; six
grandchildren. 13 great-grand children and three great-great- grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Bonnie Lou Kemp and her husband
Phillip, a grandson and a great granddaughter. The family wishes to express
grateful appreciation to the team from CareSource. A special thanks to his
nurse Ruth and his aid Zack. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November
27, 2004 at 12:00 noon at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East 10600 South, Sandy,

Props, Georjean
Georjean Props 1961 ~ 2004  Our loving mother, grandmother, daughter, and
friend, Georjean "Jolene A. Sorace" Props left us on the morning of November
21, 2004. She will be forever loved and missed.  She was born August 9, 1961
in Rapid City, South Dakota. Georjean was a member of the Sioux Nation and
they will miss her dearly. She leaves behind her mother and father, Arva Jean
and George J. Props; two sons, John E. Merrill (Shelly Hitesman) and JimmyLee
Rustad; granddaughter, Rayden Cheyenne Merrill; and from her Sioux Nation

Rhodes, Duane
Duane Rhodes 1932 ~ 2004  Duane Rhodes, 72, of Boulder City, NV, died November
IS, 2004, following a courageous battle with cancer.  He was a retired brick
mason and general building contractor. He was born Aug. 19, 1932, in Herriman,
Utah. His family moved to a small farm in Midvale, when he was four-years-old,
and he grew up there. He has resided in Boulder City since 1961. He was
preceded in death by his parents; one brother; and his wife of 41 years,
Beverly (Beck).  He is survived by his present wife, the former Kristin
Carlson Lemmel; daughter, Jacoy Richens of Roosevelt; stepsons, Randy Shea and
Brian Lemmel both of Boulder City. and Mark Lemmel of Juneau, Alaska;
grandchildren, Justin Hartman, Nikki Berrett; Heath Hartman, Tori Richens,
Brian Shea, Christopher Shea, and Hannah Lemmel; great-grandchildren, Mikell
Hartman, Rally Hartman, and Tyson Berrett. He is also survived by a brother,
Donald Grant Rhodes, of Midvale, Utah; and a sister, Thelma Gadd, of Draper,
Utah.  At Duane's request, there will be no services. A celebration of his
life will be held next July at Pine Lake, Utah, Duane's favorite camping and
fishing site. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations
be made to Nathan Adelson Hospice, or a charity of your choice.

Shupe, Carson Clifford
Carson Clifford Shupe 5/25/1983~11/20/2004  Our beloved son, brother and
friend was suddenly taken from us while doing the things he loved. His passion
of completing a family cabin was his earthly gift to his family. As a tribute
to Carson's memory the project will be continued in his honor.  Carson was
known for his unconditional love and compassion. You would offer a handshake
and he would give you a hug. He sensed when people needed him and offered his
heart. His smile was contagious and unique. He was the glue that bound us all
together. He climbed mountains and carried those who could not. He lived life
to the absolute fullest. Material things mattered little, experiences and
relationships mattered most. The music he played was an expression of his
heart and was used to touch those around him. He made friends where ever he
went even in Africa, snowmobiling, and on the trail. His religious principles
were an extension of his life. Carson is survived by his parents; Stephen and
Peggie Shupe, brothers; Matt (Jeannie) and Casey, sisters; Kristy (Rodney)
Maria, his best friend Jo Jo, and niece Alyssa. His living gift to us was the
dog who always stayed by his side even at the end. "In the mystery of the
unknown nature unfolds the truth. Akin with nature Carson found his truth." 
Services will be held Friday November 26th at 12:00, Canyon Rim Stake Center
3051 S 2900 E. Viewing for family and friends will be held prior to services
from 9:30  11:45. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.

Simmons, Raphael Bernell
Raphael Bernell Simmons1918 ~ 2004  Our beloved husband, father, brother and
grandfather, Raphael Bernell Simmons, 86, passed away on November 22, 2004
after a valiant battle with cancer, in Kaysville, Utah.  Raphael was born
April 7, 1918 to William A. and Mary Simmons in Lake Shore, Utah. He grew up
in Spanish Fork and attended Spanish Fork High School. He was a veteran of
World War II and worked at HAFB for 33 years. He married Priscilla Hanks on
January 10, 1951. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Temple on
February 15, 1964. He had a great love of music which included playing the
piano and trumpet. He loved to sing and dance and travel. He was a faithful
member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served
faithfully in many church callings throughout his life. He is survived by his
wife, Priscilla Simmons; daughter, Shirlene (Maurice) Teigen; daughter, Sheila
Simmons and three grandchildren that he adored, Scott (Winnie) Teigen,
Benjamin Teigen and Kortney Teigen. Graveside services will be held Saturday,
Nov. 27, 2004 at 12:00 noon at the Salem City Cemetery, 130 East 965 South,
Salem, UT. Family and friends may call on Friday, Nov. 26, 2004 from 6-8 p.m.

Taeoalii, Aiomanu F. Fepulea'I
Aiomanu F. FEPULEA'I Taeoalii Love One Another  Beloved dad, grandpa,
great-grandfather, Aiomanu passed away peacefully Sunday, Nov. 21, 2004 at
home, surrounded by his loving family.  Dad was born March 25, 1926 to Feleti
Taeoalii and Taumaia Luamanu in Luatuanu'u and raised by his father's sister,
Lise in Vaiala, Western Samoa. He married Leitu Aiono, November 5, 1949 and
later solemnized in the Los Angeles LDS Temple, Dec. 23, 1967. Dad moved his
wife and family to Salt Lake City on Christmas Eve 1968. He retired from
Bountiful Rest Mattress in Salt Lake City. Dad lived his life an active and
faithful member of the LDS church, fulfilling various callings that included
Branch President and Bishop in Samoa. He and Mom served two missions for the
LDS Church in the Samoa Apia Temple 1997-98 and 2002-03. He is survived by his
wife, Leitu; brother Tai and sister Faamele; sons Seminale (Shirley), Fotu
(Pam), Voi (Ronette), and Aiomanu Jr.; daughters Tua (Siaki) Papalii, Lise
(David) Tafuna, Taumaia (Richard) Quinnan, Maugasa (Boyd) Slagowski, Siuao
(Lenny) Luzitano, Lai Taeoalii, and Lusi (Ofa) Mila; 36 grandchildren and 17
great-grandchildren. Thanks to Dr. Rick Frame and Dr. Avizonis of Utah Cancer
Specialists for his last six months, staff of Promise Care, and Alpine Hospice
(RN Kay). We also thank our sister Lise for taking care of him in her home for
the last year. Family services and viewing will be held Friday, Nov. 26, 2004
from 6- 10 p.m. at Sauniatu Ward, 4605 W. West Point Dr. in West Valley City,
where funeral services will be held on Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004 at 11 a.m.
Burial will follow at Redwood Memorial Cemetery, 6500 S. Redwood Rd.

Thorup, Sharon Fay Marx
Sharon Fay Marx Thorup "We Love you Mom and Grandma"  Sharon Fay Marx Thorup,
our valiant and courageous companion and mother, passed from this life into
the arms of our Father in Heaven after a battle with cancer on 21 Nov. 2004 at
her home in Taylorsville, Utah.  Sharon was a devoted servant of Jesus Christ
and faithfully served in many callings during her life, including: teaching in
Primary, Young Womens, Gospel Doctrine, as well as Relief Society president,
family research and she served a proselytizing mission with her companion in
the Sacramento, California Mission, 1994-1995. She also filled a
fellowshipping mission in Taylorsville, Utah. Sharon was born 4 Nov. 1929 in
Sterling, Sanpete Co., Utah. Her parents were Edgar Ervin Marx and Edna
Anderson Marx. She had eight brothers and sisters: Carol Neptune; Reva
Wadsworth; Dixie Olson; Ronald Marx; Dolores Yates; Gary Marx; Carma Gunnerson
and Robert Marx. She attended schools in Sterling, Manti and Mt. Pleasant. She
also attended Snow College in Ephraim, Utah and later she graduated "cum
laude" in Elementary Education from the University of Utah, after having nine
children. She married William W. Thorup, 29 February 1952, in the Salt Lake
Temple. Sharon loved her church and had a fervent testimony of Jesus Christ.
In order to support seven of her children who served as missionaries, Sharon
worked for the U.S. Post Office for several years. She spent more than 50
years researching for her ancestors. She loved and supported her eternal
companion and all her children and grandchildren in everything. We will all
miss her fun loving ways and being a champion for the success of everyone.
Sharon is survived by her husband and all nine of her children: Marjan
Fairclough (Craig), Camille Miller (Brent), Karen Thorup, William Thorup
(Mary), Karl Thorup (Tina), Sydnee Peterson (Barry), Sharon Lee (Glenn), Paul
Thorup (Patrice), Bruce Thorup (Adriana). She has 45 grandchildren and 12
great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Riverview Ward
Chapel, 1350 W. 4800 S. in Taylorsville, Utah on Sat., 27 Nov. 2004 at 11:00
a.m. Viewings will be held Friday, 26 Nov. 2004 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at
Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S. State Street, and one hour before the funeral
at the Riverview Ward on Saturday. Burial will be at Murray City Cemetery,
5490 S. Vine Street, Murray, Utah.

Walz, Susan E.
Susan E. Walz 1938 ~ 2004  Sue, Suz, Suzy, Mom, Grandma Sue, died at home
November 19, 2004, after a courageous seven year battle with cancer. Sue will
be greatly missed by her loving and devoted husband, Leo; her daughter, Kate
(Derek) Mattsson; her son, Joe (Beth) Walz; and her grand-children, Joey,
Tommy, Johnny, and Anthony Walz, along with Emily and Elliott Mattsson. She's
also survived by her sister, Claudia (Dick) Hunsaker of Loveland, CO; and her
brother, Bill Evans of Timberline, UT. Sue was born September 18, 1938 in Salt
Lake City, Utah to Elliott W. Evans and Aline J. Evans. She spent her early
years in Bingham Canyon, moving to Salt Lake in the fourth grade. She
graduated from East High and later attended the University of Utah where she
received a BA Degree in Education in 1960. While at the University, she was
active in the Delta Gamma Sorority and various campus activities. In August
1965, she married Leo J. Walz (Buns) at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Salt
Lake City. She spent the rest of her life as a devoted spouse, mother,
grandmother, and community volunteer.  Sue's life was full of giving to
others. While raising her children, she contributed countless hours to the
Cosgriff School and St. Ambrose Parish, working in various capacities from
coaching softball and volleyball to serving as an officer in the Ladies of St.
Ambrose and treasurer of the Carmelite Fair and the Altar Society. Sue also
stayed involved with the sisterhood of Delta Gamma Sorority throughout her
life, a membership she enjoyed with her mother, sister, and daughter. As part
of her association with Delta Gamma, she spent 40 years of her life doing
vision screening for children, one of the sorority's missions. Her passion for
the work of her sorority was equaled by her love for PEO, a philanthropic
women's organization. During her 30 year membership in Chapter O of PEO, she
served in all leadership positions while establishing many lasting
friendships. While at home, Sue enjoyed spending time with family and friends,
which included her monthly "Lunch Bunch" and bridge groups. Her greatest
passion in life was her grandchildren. She also enjoyed cooking as
demonstrated by her cookbook collection which numbers in the hundreds. Sue's
dedication to family and friends will forever be her legacy. The family wishes
to thank the medical community that aided in Sue's struggle during the past 11
months, particularly Dr. Graydon Harker and the "Sisters of the Holy Cross" --
Joni, Cloe and Mary. You are the best. Memorial services will be held Friday,
November 26, 11 a.m. at the St. Ambrose Parish, 1975 S. 2300 E. in Salt Lake
City. Friends may visit the family one hour prior to the Memorial Service.
Burial will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Salt Lake City. The family
suggests donations be sent to Sue's favorite charity, the Denver Children's
Hospital Cardiac Care Center Cardiac Unit (1056 East 19th Avenue, Denver,
Colorado, 80218 to the attention of Chris Mashburn, R.N.) in honor of Grandma
