Hayden was a gentle, kind, and loving young man who was easy to love and loved by many. Member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with a growing testimony of Jesus Christ and The Book of Mormon. His family is greatly comforted by the knowledge that he is no longer suffering with the pain of addiction and is now at peace, surrounded with the love of his Heavenly Father. Hayden accomplished many things in his short life, including attaining the rank of Eagle Scout, earning two varsity football letters at Bingham High School and becoming an extremely accomplished bass guitar player. Hayden leaves behind a legacy of love and will be greatly missed by his grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins, who are grateful for the many happy memories they share of Hayden. Hayden is the son of Jason and Jeanine Allred of South Jordan and Kimberly and Paul Caso of Fillmore. He is a wonderful big brother to Kelci, Whitney, Sarah, Joseph, Courtney, CJ, Cassie, and Hunter. Deyo, Jan Pierre Jan Pierre Deyo 1941 ~ 2004 Park City- Jan Pierre Deyo died at home in Park City, Utah, early on the morning of Thursday, October 7, 2004, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born May 25, 1941, in Poughkeepsie, New York, to Phillia Peelor Deyo and Andrew LeFevre Deyo. Upon moving to Park City in 1991, he founded a business which he heartily enjoyed, distributing specialty foods to gift basket assemblers and gift stores throughout Utah and the West. The business was closed this past year due to his failing health. He is survived by his wife, Ann; daughter, Lisa Jane, son, Scott and daughter-in-law, Serena; sister, Debby, and a wonderful extended group of family and friends, all of whom are extremely grateful for the wonder caregivers and the care he received from the Huntsman Cancer Institute. Jan was known for his incredible kindness, generosity, big heart and big smile. He leaves us the legacy of his grace, courage and enduring spirit. East, Lila Eames Lila Eames East 11/16/25 ~ 10/6/04 BOUNTIFUL - Lila E. East, age 78, passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2004 in Bountiful, Utah. She was born November 16, 1925 in Archer, Idaho, the daughter of John Lawrence and Cynthia Burningham Eames. Married William W. East on June 7, 1946 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was an active member in the LDS church and held positions in the MIA, Relief Society, and Cub Scouts. She enjoyed doing family history and playing in the garden. She was famous for peonies and tomatoes. Preceded in death by her parents and brother John Lawrence Eames, Jr. Survived by her husband, William East; her son Lawrence and wife Cyndy; her daughter Emma Lee; her daughter Cynthia and husband Donald Ross Paul; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three nieces and nephews; her sister-in-law; also Jonathan and Makayla Miner. Ellerman, 69, passed away on October 6, 2004 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born on September 5, 1935 in Trenton, Utah to Amelia and Henry Ellerman. He graduated from North Cache High School where he was active in sports. Ron served in the Korean War. He married Virgie Stewart and they had one child. For many years he was a brick mason and owned his own companies, R & R Masonry and Ron Ellerman Masonry. He was an avid golfer and loved sports. He was a member of the LDS Church. Ron is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Laurie and Mark Eliason, and three grandchildren, Derek, Dylan, and Angela; Virgie Ellerman; brothers Sidney of Trenton, Utah; Henry (Faye) of Salt Lake City; and Clark (Ruth) of Paul, Idaho; sister Geneva (Ed) Stelly of Rupert, Idaho; nieces, nephews, and cousins. Kraft, Glen Eugene Glen Eugene Kraft 1929 ~ 2004 Our beloved father, husband, grandfather, brother and friend passed away peacefully at home on October 7, 2004 of congestive heart failure.Born October 25, 1929 to John H. and Verna M. Kraft in Home City, Kansas. Glen served in the Marine Corp. In 1957 while stationed at Hill Air Force Base, Glen joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He went on to serve as the Stake President of the Kearns Utah Stake, and a sealer at the Jordan River Temple. Glen served the Kearns Community as the Chairman of the Town Council and was instrumental in bringing the Olympic Oval to Kearns. Glen was the proud father of Micheal, Marty (Shauna), Mark (Debbie) and Shelly (John), with first wife, Bonnie Crosbie Kraft. On December 2, 2000 Glen married Wilma Wood. Glen is survived by his loving wife and three children, along with his 16 grandchildren, six great-grand-children, brothers, Vern (Lois) and Charlie (Sharon). One of Glens' greatest joys was the outdoors. Whether he was hunting elk, riding his four-wheeler and horses, or viewing wildlife, the mountains were his favorite place. He loved sharing his cabin with family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, especially Wilma's family who have grown to love him. She was born January 30, 1953 in Minden, Louisiana to Jeff and Elnora Williams. She married William Pinkey June 1, 1990 in Salt Lake City, Utah. MAGNA - Max Earl Sayer, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great- grandfather, brother, and friend passed away at home on October 8, 2004 after a long and courageous fight with Parkinson's disease. He was born on September 17, 1925 in Rigby, Idaho, the son of John Earl and Leona Hanni Sayer. He was married for eternity to Lola Jean Nye of Magna, Utah in the Salt Lake Temple on January 22, 1948. Together they raised their seven children in Garfield and Magna. Max was a veteran of World War II having joined the Marines when he was seventeen. He served in the Pacific stationed in Hawaii, Midway and Guam. He loved his country and was proud of his military service. He carried the Marine spirit with him to the end. He graduated from Cyprus High School in 1966 and received his private pilots license at the age of 50. He retired from Kennecott Copper after 40 years of service and worked for Hertz Rent-a-car another 18 years. Max was a faithful High Priest in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving as bishop, high counselor and as a counselor in several bishoprics. He served for over 35 years on the board of directors for Cyprus Credit Union. He enjoyed flying, fishing, and being around the family. He was an avid reader and could converse about any topic. He is survived by his wife, of 56 years, Lola Jean Nye Sayer; seven children, David Paul (Cathy) Sayer; Marsha Ann (Jim) Gallyer; Phillip Kent (Diane) Sayer; Susan Kaye (Dennis) Holland; Catherine Dee Sayer; Nancy Alaine Quezada; William Earl (Suzie) Sayer; three sisters; Helen Williams; Thelma (Dick) Bross; Marlene (Brian) Hincks; 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grand children. His parents preceded him in death. The family would like to express sincere gratitude for the kindness of friends and neighbors. Ben L.Tyson 7/8/1926 ~ 10/6/2004 Ben L. Tyson passed away at his home on October 6th, 2004 after a courageous battle with prostate cancer. Ben was born on July 8th, 1926 in Scotts Bluff, Nebraska to Noel and Ida Carr Tyson. He enlisted in the Navy and was sent to the University of Utah for officer training, where he met his future wife, Jeanne. The two were married June 14th, 1948. He worked as a contract glass salesman for most of his career. As a Charter member of the Holladay United Church of Christ for 50 years, Ben held many leadership roles including moderator, stewardship chair and tenor in the choir. Beloved by his community there and known for his wisdom and sound judgement, Ben carried a toolbox around at all times and was ready to fix anything and help out anyone in need. He loved woodworking and making beautiful gifts for his friends. His incredible zest for life was evident even in his last month where he enjoyed a river trip to see classical music in a natural grotto in southern Utah as well as a trip to the mountains in the "little red sports car" to enjoy the fall colors. Ben loved tennis and played all his life. He was able to play at least twice weekly with a group of close friends, at the Salt Lake Tennis Club, until just this summer. He would want Jack, Hayes, Bill, Bob, Roger, Doug, Don and many others to know how much the competition and friendship meant to him. Ben was preceded in death by his parents and brother Bill. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jeanne, brother Dan (Hannah) and sister Ann Tedroe, his children, Bill (Sharon) Tyson, Sandy Toninelli, Ritambra Tyson (Michael Boyd) and Jani (Winston) Gamble, grandchildren, Ben (Kelly) Tyson, Jen (Chris) Cassity, and Chris and Merina Toninelli. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Holladay United Church of Christ Building Fund, a project on which Ben worked tirelessly. Our heartfelt thanks go to Frankie Clark, Dr. Bretton Newman, Bev Dodd and the staff at Rocky Mountain Hospice for the short but caring and supportive relationship with all of us.
