Dad lovingly took care of Mom for many years during her health problems and wanted to make sure he was always there to take care of her so no one else needed to. He said, "I don't know why she married me, I'm the luckiest man in the world to have had such a wonderful wife." Narvel attended school in Louisville and joined the CCC's serving in Wyoming, California, and Nevada for 42 months. His greatest accomplishment in the CCC's was being the 1st Sergeant.
