Auger, Leilani E.
Leilani E. Auger 1921 ~ 2005 Our mother and grandmother Leilani Eileen Auger
went to be with her Heavenly Father April 25, 2005. She was preceded in death
by ex-husband, James Stratton; daughter, Rosanna and family. Survived by sons
and daughter: Lee Sexton, Robert Sexton, Kym Stratton, David Stratton and
Gerri Gaskill; eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren. She will be
missed. Friends and family may visit Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral
Home, 4330 South Redwood Road.

Berg, Grace Virginia Parmley
Grace Virginia Parmley Berg 1917 ~ 2005 Our sweet and loving wife and mother
had a joyous reunion with her family and friends on April 24 at the age of 88
when she returned to her Father in Heaven. Grace was born on February 22, 1917
to William V. Parmley and Alice Florence Larson in Salt Lake City, Utah. Her
father died when she was just three years old. Her mother later married
Whitmer (Whit) Andrew Rosquist, who was a very kind and loving step-father.
She married her sweetheart and eternal companion, Clifford Sanders Berg, in
the Salt Lake Temple on February 20, 1939. They are the parents of eight
children - four daughters and four sons. Her family was always her first
priority. She made sure they were all well taken care of. Grace had a
wonderful sense of humor and was very generous to others. She was a hard
worker and taught her children the value of hard work. She was very meticulous
and always insisted on a clean and orderly home. The phrase "Cleanliness is
next to Godliness" fit her perfectly. She was known for her cooking and candy
making abilities. There are many who have fond memories of her delicious
meals. She cherished her family and spent many, many hours crocheting afghans
for each child, their spouses, her grandchildren and close friends. Her life
was one of service and she loved doing it! Serving others brought her great
joy and satisfaction. She was especially fond of serving the elderly. Grace
loved her grandchildren and enjoyed having them around her. She spent a lot of
time babysitting. In her youth, Grace loved to play tennis and enjoyed
dancing. Grace is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
and served faithfully in numerous stake and ward callings. She was a
beautician for many years. She also managed Paul's Par 3, a golf course in
Hunter, Utah, for a number of years. Later, she and her husband owned and
operated the Burger Bandit Drive-In in Kearns, Utah. Grace is survived by her
loving husband of 66 years, her children Alice Beck; Robert L. (LeVon) Berg,
Monroe, WA; Gerald (Maggie) Berg; Randy (Judy) Berg; Kathy (Jack) Grotepas;
Arnie (Bobbie) Berg; Lynnette(John) Hiskey; Kris (Bob) Kvenvold; 29
grandchildren, 28 great-grand-children; brothers Robert (Bob) Parmley, LaMar
Rosquist and sister Beth Paschall. A viewing will be held at the Jenkins-Soffe
Funeral Chapel, 4760 S. State Street, Murray, on Wednesday, April 27 from 6
p.m. to 8 p.m. The funeral will be held on Thursday morning, April 28, at 11
a.m. at the Murray 25th Ward, 365 E. Vine Street, Murray, Utah with a viewing
at 10 a.m. The family wishes to thank Hospice for their tender and loving care
during the last several months. Jan, Wanda and Sylvia brought Grace and her
family much peace and happiness. They were definitely Grace's angels and she
loved each one of them.

Bowman, Patricia J.
Patricia J. Bowman 1926 ~ 2005 Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister,
and caring friend, Patricia Bowman, 78, passed away April 20, 2005. Pat was
born December 13, 1926 in Fresno, CA to Elake and Winifred Quick. She married
Edwin O. Bowman September 9, 1945. Pat's life work was nurturing. Her great
loves in life were her family, her animals, and her plants. Pat had a
wonderful sense of humor and was always there for those she cared about. Pat
served the U.S. Weather Bureau in Alaska in the 50's at several locations,
including Barrow. After Alaska, she lived at various locations in the Western
United States before settling in Salt Lake City in 1970. Pat is survived by
her husband, Edwin; her daughters, Katherine L. Bowman, Berkeley, CA, and
Carol Welch (Jeffrey), Beaverton, OR; grandsons, James (Jamey) and David
Volker; and brother, George Quick (Gladyce). Preceded in death by her
brothers, Herbert, William, and Robert. Pat will be interred in the cemetery

Chandler, Joseph Lorin
Joseph Lorin Chandler 1912 ~ 2005 Died peacefully on Thursday April 21, 2005
in San Francisco at the age of 93. He was born April 13, 1912 in North Ogden,
Utah to Calvin Harris Chandler and Della Luella Shaw. The third born in a
family of eight children of whom Harvey, Merle, Charles (Chuck), Ruth, Calvin
(Dick) preceded him in death and Betty Jean and Shirley survive. In high
school Joe was active in drama and a star athlete. He won letters in football,
basketball, baseball, and track, captained the basketball team, and made
all-state. At Weber State College he lettered in all four sports as well and
in football was an all-conference end. He later played semi-pro basketball on
the Becker Beer team. After college he became a coach and teacher in Carbon
County where he met Florence Child who was supervising a WPA nursery school.
He told a friend that day he would marry her and several months later he did.
They taught another year in Price and headed to New York City where he was
accepted as a graduate student the New York University's School of Retailing.
After graduation Joe worked as an Assistant Adjustment Manager at Ohrbachs,
but it was time to go home to Utah. In Salt Lake City he found a position as
Adjustment Manager at Sears Roebuck. Later he left Sears to found his own
business, The Jack and Jill Shop, a children's wear store which he expanded
into a small chain across Salt Lake Valley. He became active in the Junior
Chamber of Commerce and the Sentinel Club. In 1946 he became chairman of the
"Days of '47" Parade, a post he held for ten years when he was chairman of the
full "Days of '47" Celebration, and continued as chair until 1961. In 1960 Joe
was a candidate for Mayor of Salt Lake City. Thereafter he founded Chandler
Real Estate, a sales and property management business. In his later years he
became an avid horseman, breeding and training American Saddlers then later
Quarter Horses. He was an enthusiastic member of the Ute Rangers riding drill
team and became a familiar fixture at horse shows, horse sales, and rodeos.
Joe is survived by his wife and four Children, Neal, Susan, Alan, and Clay; 12
grandchildren and step grandchildren, Alexis, Brad, Brian, Collin, Courtney,
Gerritt, Hanno, Katie, Leslie, L.J., Michael, Quinn, and seven great
grandchildren and step great granchildren, Anastasia, Carina, Caitlin, Devon,
Mitchell, Quinn, Samantha. In his loving memory they invite you to join them
for a viewing and his funeral. The viewing will take place at the Foothill 4th
Ward, 1794 S. Texas St., Salt Lake City, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on
Wednesday, April 27th. The Funeral will follow at 11:00.

Christensen, Glen D. "Sage"
Glen D. Christensen "Sage" Glen "Sage" D. Christensen of Moroni, Utah returned
to his Heavenly Father and Eternal Companion, Euleda Nora Larsen Christensen
on April 23, 2005 at the Sanpete Valley Hospital, Mt. Pleasant, Utah. He
married Euleda Dec. 16th 1939, and their marriage was later solemnized Sept.
3, 1946 in the Salt Lake Temple. Euleda passed away March 4, 2000. "Sage"
worked as a brick mason for many years and was responsible for building many
homes, buildings and fireplaces in Sanpete County. He was instrumental in
helping to build the Moroni Stake Center that exists today. He also raised
cattle and turkeys and was a member of Moroni Feed Co. "Sage" served as Moroni
City Mayor from 1978 to 1981, and also served on the Moroni City Counsel for
two terms. Glen was an active member of the Moroni LDS First Ward and was also
a member of Lion's Club and Arc Club. He was very athletic and especially like
playing basketball. He very much enjoyed watching the Jazz and BYU games with
his family. "Sage" was preceded in death by brothers. Stanley, Allen, Grant;
and sisters, Ina, Hazel, Voniel, and Vera. "Sage" is survived by son, Clifford
Christensen of Moroni; grandson Glen (Carmen) C. Christensen of Orem;
brothers, Ed Christensen of Layton, Utah; Owen (Edna) Christensen of Fountain
Green; and sister, Lewella Cahoon of Magna. Funeral Services will be held
Wednesday April 27, 2005 at 12:00 noon at the Moroni Stake Center, 82 North
Center. A viewing will be held at the Stake Center prior to services from
10:30-11:30 a.m. Interment will be at Moroni Cemetery under the direction of
Rasmussen Mortuary.

Coon, Gladys Wilding
Gladys Wilding Coon 1918 ~ 2005 Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and
friend, Gladys Wilding Coon, 87, passed away April 24, 2005 in Sandy, Utah.
She was born March 24, 1918 in Salt Lake City to George Lambert and Emma
Peterson Wilding. She married Lawrence W. Coon May 16, 1939; he died January
14, 1946. She married James Edward Coon March 2, 1951; he died April 16, 1969.
Gladys was a member of the LDS Church. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting and
was an excellent seamstress. She was a devoted mother and her family was very
important to her. Survived by her children, Margie (Ken) Gray, June (Duane
Knight), Emma (Bruce) Johner, Diane (Jim) Purser, Rick (Colleen) Coon, Dave
Coon, and Mary (Keith) Simpson; 27 grandchildren; 45 great-grand children; 10
great-great grandchildren; sister, Mabel (Lee) Ginsler; sister-in-law, LaVern
Empey; brother-in-law, Paul Christensen. Preceded in death by both husbands;
son, Laurie; one brother; and three sisters. Special thank you to the staffs
of Hearts for Hospice and Sandy Regional. Funeral services will be held 12
p.m. Thursday, April 28, 2005 at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 West 2700 South,

Crane, Pamela Davis
Pamela Davis Crane 1926 ~ 2005 Pamela Davis Crane passed away on 22 April 2005
at her home in Tooele, Utah. She died of cancer. She was born on 17 Oct. 1926
at Farnum, Fremont Co, Idaho to Samuel Friel and Temperance Mason Davis. She
married George Thomas Crane on 19 Feb. 1954 in the St. George Temple. Their
four children and spouses are Barry (Kristy) Crane, CA; Cynthia (Cindy)
(Terrel) Sandberg, AZ; Sue (Emery) Bahm, Farmington, UT; Randy (Janine) Crane,
CO. Pam grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada where she graduated from high school,
then attended BYU and the Quish Beauty School. She was a practicing beautician
for several years, then filled an LDS mission in southern California.
Following her marriage she became a full-time mom and her interests included
her family, various church callings, gardening, swimming, line-dancing, toll
painting and ceramics. She participated in many vocal groups, and was
instrumental in organizing The Tripletones, a female double-trio, that
performed in Tooele Valley for 16 years. She was preceded in death by her
parents and one sister, Marie Wells. Surviving are her husband; four children;
14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother Samuel M. Davis and a
sister, Gwen Tesch. Funeral services will be held Thursday Apr 28, 2005 at 11
a.m. at the Tooele North Stake Center 583 No 270 East. Friends may call at
Tate Mortuary Wed April 27 from 6 - 8 p.m. and 9:30-10:30 prior to the service
at the church. Interment will be at the Nephi City Cemetery.

Davis, LaVerta Wymore
LaVerta Wymore Davis 1924 ~ 2005 LaVerta Wymore Davis, 80, passed away
peacefully on April 24, 2005 in Spanish Fork. LaVerta was born Nov. 19, 1924
to Carl W. Wymore and Zelpha McInelly Wyomore. She married Albert H. Davis
June 18, 1942. LaVerta worked at Remington Arms and Fort Douglas while her
husband was serving in World War II. Her hobbies included quilting, crocheting
and gardening. She dearly loved her cats. She is survived by her husband and
her children Dennis (Nancy) Davis, Sherie Yocom, Carrie Dunn, Sheila Daw, and
Kevin (Lisa) Davis; ten grandchildren and six great-randchildren and one
sister, Margaret (Jack) Jacobson. We would like to express our appreciation to
Alpine Home Health and Hospice for the great care they gave to LaVerta.
Funeral services will be Friday, April 29, 2005 at 11 a.m. in the Salem 9th
Ward Chapel, 60 South Main Street, Salem. Friends may call at the Walker
Mortuary, 187 South Main Street, Spanish Fork, on Thursday evening from 6 til
8 p.m. or Friday at the church from 9:45 til 10:45 a.m. prior to the services.

Davis, Susan Rae
Susan Rae Davis 1953 ~ 2005 Susan Rae Davis, 51, passed away April 24, 2005
after a long illness. She was born in Richfield, Utah on September 22, 1953 to
Reed William and Wilma Arla Yankey Davis. Always a close knit family, they
spent many summers at Fish Lake where Susan learned to "plug" for mackinaw at
sunrise with her dad. She worked in the health care field after graduating
from high school. She worked at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center, the
University of Utah Medical Center, the former Holy Cross Hospital and then
worked for 12 years with the Children with Special Healthcare Needs program.
She will miss her friends and loved ones that she worked with, and will always
remember their constant caring and friendships. He survivors include her
beautiful daughter, Cynnamon Rae; mother, Wilma; brother, Reed G. (Vicky)
Davis; sisters, Florence (Steve) Grimshaw, Rita (Doug) Farnsworth, Sandy
(David) Worthen. At her request, cremation will take place with no formal

Frye, Inez LaVern Barlow
Inez LaVern Barlow Frye 1916 ~ 2005 BRIGHAM CITY - Inez LaVern Barlow Frye,
89, passed away on April 23, 2005 at the Brigham City Nursing and
Rehabilitation Center. She was born to Jesse and Annie Paskett Barlow in Etna,
Utah (Grouse Creek Ward) in a log cabin on January 27, 1916. She was the
youngest of nine children. She moved from Etna, UT to Grouse Creek, UT when
she was 6-years-old where she attended school in. She loved living on the
ranch in Grouse Creek. She especially loved the wild and farm animals. She
moved to Salt Lake City in 1936 where she met and married Myrl C. Clegg.
Together they had three daughters and later divorced but remained friends. She
met Jack Frye in Brigham City, Utah and they were married in the Logan Temple
on April 11, 1950. They had one daughter. She was an active member of The
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and lived in the Brigham City 8th
Ward for over 50 years. She worked in both the ward and stake primary
organizations. In her later years, she worked at the community center and
served as an officer in the Spike Club for six years. Surviving are four
daughters, Sandra Lee Vyvlecka, Pleasanton, TX; Dianne Clegg, Salt Lake City,
UT; Dixie Seber, Corinne, UT; Marilyn Gold, West Allis, WI; and one step son
William Frye, Brigham City UT. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, 26
great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren. She was preceded in
death by her husband William J. Frye; one step son, Glenn H. Frye; and five
brothers and three sisters, Emma Kimber, Roy Jesse Barlow, Melvin Barlow,
Joseph Lester Barlow, Francis (Frank) Barlow, Adella Bigham, Louise
Ballingham, and Sidney Raymond Barlow. The family wishes to express their
heart felt gratitude to Chet and Ruth Ann Worthen, Dr. Lynn Beard and the
staff at Brigham Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their help and support.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 28, 2005, at 11:30 a.m. in the
Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South, Brigham City, UT. There will be a

Jepson, Myles Allen
Myles Allen Jepson 1919 ~ 2005 Myles Allen Jepson, 86, passed away peacefully
on April 23, 2005. He was born to Leonard and Gladys Jepson on March 19, 1919,
in Gunnison, Utah. He was raised in Gunnison and Twin Falls, Idaho. He served
in the United States Navy during World War II. He married Reta Mae Mulford
Bullard on February 14, 1949 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Myles spent 24 years as
a meat department manager at Safeway and later went on to become a Utah State
meat inspector until his retirement. Myles was preceded in death by a brother
Ray and a granddaughter Shelly Bullard. He is survived by his spouse; a sister
Myrtle Bodily, and a brother Wayne (Ruth); a son Butch (Margaret) Bullard;
twin daughters Carol (Craig) Snow and Connie (Jeff) Seare; sister-in-law
Virginia Jepson; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and three
great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 28,
2005 at 12 noon at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East 10600 South, Sandy, where

Louthan, Mildred Jean
Mildred Jean Louthan 1923 ~ 2005 Our sweet, loving wife, mother, sister and
"froggy grandma" joined her parents, brothers Eldon and Bob, and her son
"Bobby" on Monday, April 25, 2005 at her daughters home in Salt Lake City,
Utah. She was born April 2, 1923 to Fred Eugene Ward and Willa Lucille
Robertson in Great Bend, Kansas. She attended Great Bend High School. She
married Jean Henry Louthan on October 31st, 1942 and had four children. She is
survived by her husband Jean Henry, children, Janice (Len), Carol and Pamela
(Mark), sister Dorothy, brother David Dale (Meredith), 15 grandchildren and 24
great-grand-children. She loved shopping and going to garage sales. Late to
bed laughing with her girls and spending time being "Silly Millie". She
struggled with Alzheimer's for nine years being silly and feisty all the way.
We love you, we'll miss your smiles, laughter and singing. A viewing will be
held on Tuesday, April 26, 2005 from 7-9 p.m. at Lake Hills Mortuary, 10055
South State Street, Sandy, Utah. Interment, Carrollton, Texas.

Madsen, Delsa Maud Nielson
Delsa Maud Nielson Madsen 1920 ~ 2005 Delsa Maud Nielson Madsen, 84, passed
away April 23, 2005 at Star Valley Care Center in Afton, Wyoming of natural
causes. Born August 1, 1920 in Levan, Utah, she was the seventh daughter and
eighth child of Orson and Maud Warren Nielson. Delsa married Matthew Devine
Madsen in the Salt Lake Temple on May 29, 1940. They raised four daughters in
Murray and South Salt Lake City. She served in leadership positions in the
Primary and Relief Society organizations of The Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints and set a great example of giving service through church
callings for her daughters. Delsa was always thinking of others and especially
enjoyed sharing fruits, vegetables and flowers from her gardens with her
neighbors. She loved good music and instilled a love of music in her home. In
April 1999, Delsa suffered a stroke and went to live with her daughter in
Nampa, Idaho. In January 2004 she moved to Afton, Wyoming near another
daughter. She will be greatly missed and is survived by her daughters, Mrs.
Peter (Lynell) Vander Meide, Cove Fort, Utah; Mrs. Howard (Marcha) Wilde,
Nampa, Idaho; Mrs. J. H. (Kendra) Merritt, Thayne, Wyoming; Mrs. John (Shauna)
Groberg, Magna, Utah; 16 grandchildren, 38 great-grand-children; one sister,
Floris Stevenson, North Salt Lake. Her husband and a grandson, Thomas Vander
Meide, preceded her in death. We would like to thank the Star Valley Care
Center and Nursing Staff for the loving care they provided to Delsa. Please

Moll, Margaret Marcil
Margaret Marcil Moll 12/13/38 ~ 4/23/05 Margaret was born in Salt Lake City
and was raised by St. Ann's Orphanage. Margaret and Ernest were married July
6, 1956; they have lived in West Valley City since 1962. She loved genealogy,
sewing, bowling, panicle, coin collecting, small toys and spending time with
her grandchildren. She especially loved going to the Annual Wycoff Party in
Diamond Fork Canyon. Margaret Moll is survived by her husband, Ernest C. Moll;
sisters and brothers, Judy Savage, Charles Bart, Susan Carvener, Lyn
Carpenter, Lawrence Bart, Frank Bart, Carl Marcil, Ernest Marcil, and Irene
Beard; children, (spouses and grandchildren) Daniel, Tammy Totten (Bill,
Sara), Ernest B. (Myrna, Annilee), Carl (Allison, Tyson and Madison) and
Margaret Wardle (Bob, Amber, April and RC); and close family members, Cleone
and Paul Clayton, Blaine and Kathy Moll. Viewing will be Wednesday, April 27,
2005, 6-8 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, West

Momberger, Nanieve G.
Nanieve G. Momberger 1934 ~ 2005 Euleda Nanieve "Nan" Momberger, 70, passed
away at her home in Salt Lake City on Sunday April 24, 2005. Nan was born on
June 19, 1934 in Levan, Utah to George Grant and Uleda Nell Gardner. Nan's
mother, Uleda, died September 23, 1938, and her father married Genevieve
Knudsen on July 17, 1940 in the Manti Temple. The family grew to include a
brother (George) and four sisters (Norda, Zoe Ann, Shirley, and Geneil). Nan
married Glenn Momberger September 8, 1954 in the Manti Temple. She is the
mother of six children and 16 grandchildren. Throughout her life, education
remained a primary focus. With six children, Nan delayed her own formal
education until her children were grown. She then returned to University of
Utah and completed a degree in History in 1993. She was always a voracious
reader and passed on that love of learning to her children and grandchildren.
She also spent several years tutoring at-risk children at Lincoln Elementary
in Salt Lake City. Nan willingly gave many years of church service to the
Primary and Relief Society. She served in numerous presidencies and callings.
(After countless funeral lunches, we hope she enjoys taking a break just this
once.) She was also a beloved "Den Mother" who helped numerous young scouts
with their first knots and merit badges. After her husband's retirement, the
couple served a two-year medical service mission in Brazil. Most of all, Nan
will always be remembered for her example, her patience, and her compassion
towards others -- not to mention unrivaled lemon cookies. She also took
particular pleasure in Christmas and holidays where she always seemed to give
the perfect gift. We cannot imagine a better or more devoted wife, mother and
grandmother. We love her and will miss her. Nan was preceded in death by her
father, mother, stepmother, and son (Marc). Survived by: her husband; five
children Shauna Bowman (Karl), Joel (Jane), Heidi Camp (Craig), Nathan
(Amber), Jared (Jami); 16 grandchildren and expecting her first
great-grandchild this fall; also by her brother and four sisters. A viewing
will be held Wednesday, April 27th at the Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary at 2350
E. 1300 S., Salt Lake City, from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held

Nause, Edwin D.
Edwin D. Nause 1914 ~ 2005 Edwin D. Nause died Thursday April 21 2005 with his
family present. Born in Northampton, PA, Feb. 20, 1914 to Edwin and Sarah
Fogelman Nause. Worked in Wash. D.C. for Navy Dept. as Yeoman 1st class then
served in World War lI as Chief Petty Officer on the USS West Virginia. After
the war, he opened a Meat Market in Tarzana, Calif. Years later, he worked for
IGA foods out of Chicago. He promoted the IGA program in parts of Canada and
the Western U.S. In 1958 he settled in SLC as Sales Manager for Utah Wholesale
Grocery Co. and Advertising and Merchandising Supt. for IGA stores in Utah.
"Pop" loved to read, play golf and watch professional sports. He loved telling
his view of politics and most anything else, to any willing ear. Preceded in
death, by his wife, Mary. Survived by daughters; Mrs. Fred Giles[Sandra] Mrs.
Robert Thomas[Sally] and MaryLou, eight grandchildren; eight
great-grandchildren. A very special and well deserved thanks for the kindness
and care from the staff at Cottonwood Creek and Rocky Mountain Hospice.

Olsen, Eleanor Stewart
Eleanor Stewart Olsen 1910 ~ 2005 Eleanor Stewart Olsen passed away April 22
with her family at her side. She was born in Provo, Utah August 27, 1910. She
attended West High School and the University of Utah graduating with a law
degree in 1935. She was married to Lawrence Swan Olsen for 60 years and with
him raised, as she always remarked, three "almost average children." One of
the founders of the Utah League of Women Voters, she was active in civic and
political affairs. She was the first citizen advocate on the Central Utah
Water Board. She ran for the Utah State Legislature, and worked for a short
time in the office of Legislative Research. She was a dedicated advocate for
women's rights. The passion of her life was her family and the family
homestead in the North Fork of Provo Canyon recently known as Sundance. She
was an expert organic gardener and gourmet cook and enjoyed entertaining
family and friends. She is survived by her three children and their spouses,
Stewart Olsen (Dani Eyer), Eleanor Lee Brennan, Rex Olsen (Margaret); five
grandchildren, Mike Olsen (Lisa), Christopher Olsen (Ambre), Patrick Brennan
(Janice Dole), Elaine Davis, and Davey Davis; great-grandson, Christopher
Porter Olsen; great-granddaughter, Melissa Dole. She was preceded in death by
her six siblings; her husband, Lawrence; her son-in law, Patrick Brennan;
daughter-in-law, Mary Olsen; grandchildren, Coralee Brennan and Aaron Hunt.
Memorial service will be held Wed-nesday, April 27, 12 noon at Evans and Early
Mortuary, 574 East 100 South, Salt Lake City. In lieu of flowers, the family
suggests contributions to the North Fork Preservation Alliance, RR3 Box A-1,
Sundance, Utah 84604 or a charity of choice.

Petereit, Helen Marie Maughan
Helen Marie Maughan Petereit 1922 ~ 2005 Our beloved wife, mother,
grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, peacefully passed at
the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Jon and Natalie Petereit of Mapleton,
Utah, on Sat., April 23, 2005. Helen was born in the home of her grandmother
in Ogden, April 15, 1922 to loving parents Lionel and Leona Murray Maughan.
After being raised and then assisting with the raising of her younger siblings
after her mother's untimely death, she moved to Riverside, California, where
she met and fell in love with her future husband, Riggs Petereit. They were
married June 27, 1947 in the Salt Lake Temple. Helen remained active in the
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints her entire life. She served in
many Ward and Stake positions as well as accepting a call to serve a two year
mission to the Los Angeles Temple with her husband after which they then
served as ordinance workers for an additional seven or more years. In 1991,
they moved to Provo and continued Temple work there for another two years.
Alzheimer's then precluded her from doing the temple work she so loved. For
the past several years of her illness, she has been an especial source of much
joy and provided many memorable moments as the family was privileged to care
for her. She is survived by her husband, Riggs Petereit, her son and
daughter-in-law Jon Riggs and Natalie Stevens Petereit, sister Thelma Jensen,
sister and brother-in-law Carol and Clyde Richards, sister Nona Schwarting,
numerous nephews and nieces, six loving grandchildren, and six
great-grand-children. The family misses her, her love, and service dearly but
we are comforted by eternal perspectives that tell us we will be together
again. We along with her also find reassurance in her knowledge, testimony and
beautiful gospel experiences, and vicariously share with her the joyous family
reunions that are no doubt currently taking place in the eternal realms.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2005 at the
Wellsville City Cemetery in Wellsville, Utah. Friends and family may call from
10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary, 495 So. State

Burdette Alva Remington Keep on Truckin' Our beloved husband, father,
grandfather, and friend, Burdette Alva Remington, returned home to his Eternal
Father and family April 22, 2005, at his home in Centerville. Alva was born
June 13, 1944 in St. Anthony, ID to Burdette Thornton and Martha Remington.
Alva loved and lived life to the fullest! He is survived by his wife, Norma
Jean; children, Mindi (Trevor), Travis (Kate), Trisha (Casey), Mikael
(Darlene), Mikelle, MariAnna; seven grandchildren; sisters, Mae, Janice,
Mardette; and brother, Ralph. Funeral services will be held April 27, 11 a.m.
at the LDS ward house on 1461 N. Main, Centerville. Friends and family are
welcome to visit Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary,
295 N. Main, Bountiful, and also 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the ward house before the

Angelie Robles Our Baby Angelie Robles - "A true angel from heaven", who was
born on February 16, 2005 to Fredi and Sariah Robles, little sister to
Gianmarko and Keomy, returned home to our Heavenly Father on April 23, 2005.
Honored to have been chosen out of many, we thank God for letting us love her
and care for her during the short time she was here on earth. She will be
missed, but not forgotten for she will continue to live in our hearts. "We
love you Angelie, and we thank you for brining us closer to God".

Salmon, Robert William "Bob"
Robert (Bob) William Salmon 1923 ~ 2005 Robert (Bob) William Salmon passed
away on April 24th 2005, at 82. Born January 3, 1923, in McGill, NV to Jack
and Edna M. Salmon. He went to school in McGill and Ely, NV and graduated from
Granite High School in SLC, UT. Bob proudly served in the U.S. Army Air Forces
and U.S. Army Infantry. Though he rarely mentioned it, he received many
decorations that included the Bronze Star Medal and Combat Infantry Badge. For
his service in North Appenines and Po Valley, Italy during the European
Campaign of World War II he received the EAME Medal with two Bronze Service
Stars. Preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Jessie (baby),
Jack and Melvin. Survived by his brother Jay and LaVon Salmon, WVC; sister
Juanita (Effie) Hale, Reno, NV, sister-in-law Josephine (Jack) Salmon,
Richmond, UT, nephew Victor Salmon, nieces Linda and Brent McDonald, Janet and
Mark Carver, Juanita and Mark Catterton, Marian and Russell Durk, Edna and
Jack Gilbert, Louise andJim Budak and their families. His family will miss
him. Graveside Services will be held on Wed., April 27th 12:30 p.m. at the
Utah Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, 17111 So. Camp Williams Rd., Bluffdale, UT.
Military Honors provided by the American Legion, Dist. 8. The family wants to
thank the Rocky Mountain Care Center and Hospice for the care they provided

Salter, Marvel Beckstead Sullivan
Marvel Beckstead Sullivan Salter In Loving Memory Marvel Beckstead Sullivan
Salter was born on October 15, 1910 in South Jordan, Utah the daughter of
Gordon O. Beckstead and Johannah E. Erickson. She passed away peacefully in
her sleep at the Trinity Mission and Rehabilitation Center on April 17, 2005,
at the age of 94. Marvel was educated in the Salt Lake City schools. She then
married her first husband, Joseph L. Sullivan with whom she had two children:
John Joseph Sullivan and Katherine June Sullivan. Joseph died in 1941. John J.
Sullivan and his wife Alinka have one daughter, Patricia Lynne Sullivan
Christi; who has three daughters and a son. Kathy and her husband, Joe lives
in Arcadia, California and have two sons, Joey and Jeff, and a daughter,
Jenny. Marvel married Glen Raymond Salter in 1946 and had one son in that
marriage, Douglas Glen Salter; who lives in Provo, Utah. He has two daughters:
Jill and Alyss. Glen passed away in 1975. There are ten great grandchildren:
Zachary, Madison, Johannah, Sydney, Jordan, Jessica, Ashley, Courtney, Eric,
and Kimberly. Marvel taught herself to play the piano and organ and loved to
entertain friends, playing the piano until she was 93 years old. She was the
last surviving child of Gordon O. Beckstead and Johannah Erickson Beckstead
with Evelyn, June, Trudy, Donna and Tommy pre-deceasing her. Marvel was
blessed with a good life, a loving family and will be greatly missed.

Servatius, David Lee
David Lee Servatius 9/21/1939 ~ 4/23/2005 David (Dave) Lee Servatius, beloved
father, grandfather, and brother, passed on peacefully at his home in Sandy on
the beautiful spring afternoon of April 23, 2005, after a long valiant battle
with cancer. Born September 21, 1939 in Syracuse, New York to Raymond and Mary
Servatius. Dave relocated to the Salt Lake City area as a child. He graduated
from Judge Memorial School and went on to serve several years in the United
State Air Force. Dave worked in the insurance business for many years before
attending Utah Technical College (now SLCC), where he earned as AAS Degree in
Electronic Technology. Dave embarked on a highly successful career as an
electronic engineer. He was employed at L3 Communications as a Senior Quality
Analyst for many years. Dave loved his job and his friends at L3. Dave loved
cooking for people, spicy food, stock car races, skydiving, scuba diving,
camping, hunting, college football, big dogs, good beer, libertarian politics,
crossword puzzles, guns, and unfortunately, cigarettes. Throughout his battle
with cancer he never lost his great sense of humor. He was loved by many, and
will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his former and only
wife, Margo Ford; children, David Jr., Yvette Smith (Michael), Brian, and
Brittani; brothers, Monsignor Robert Servatius and Paul Servatius;
grandchildren, Skyler, Dominic, Braxton, and Isabella. He was a good and
brilliant man, and a pillar of strength for his family. His lessons and
influence will not be forgotten. Do not stand at my grave and weep; I am not
there. I do not sleep. I am the thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond
glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn
rain. When you awaken in the morning hush, I am the swift uplifting rush of
the quiet birds in circle flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. I
am the bolt of lightning across the sky. Do not stand at my grave and cry. I
am not there. I did not die. We love you, Dad. We miss you and will always
have you in our hearts. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, April 28,
2005, 10:30 a.m. at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 1975 South 2300 East. A Vigil
Service will be held Wednesday, April 27, 2005, 7:30 p.m. at the Goff Mortuary
8090 So. State where friends may call Wednesday 6-7:30 p.m. Interment
following Mass will take place at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 275 "U"
Street, Salt Lake City, Utah. A luncheon will be held at Blessed Sacrament
Catholic Church, 1745 East 9800 South, Sandy, Utah after the interment
service. In lieu of sending flowers, the family requests that a donation be
made in Dave's name to the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church Building Fund and

Beulah Simmons My Darling Beulah As you hooked your index finger in mine the
last evening you were conscious and said, "I don't think I can do this," I
didn't realize you were already planning to leave me. I have missed you
terribly and will until I see you again in the eternities. A thousand friends
could not take your place, but the dozens who have tried to fill the void have
really helped. Know this; our fantastic 57 years ended successfully with the

Travis Sorensen "Tadder Hosie" Our beloved Travis Dirk Sorensen, returned to
his Father in Heaven, Sunday, April 24, 2005. He was born February 25, 1977,
in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was the youngest of three children. He was a fun
loving teaser, dubbed "the agitator", by the family. His one liners and facial
expressions kept everyone laughing. He was an avid sports fan and knew every
detail. Travis was the most giving person you could ever know from childhood
on. He was a bargain hunter and a saver. His dogs adored him and he loved them
in return. He has a wonderful son, Derek, who he is so proud of, an older
brother Ryan, who was his best friend and a loving sister Michelle. Survived
by his son Derek, his mama, Rita K. Pressett, his father David Sorensen. His
siblings Ryan (Kimberly) and Michelle. Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m.
on Thursday, April 28, 2005 at the St. George Cemetery. Viewing will be

Leonard Wilkins Southerland 1919 ~ 2005 Born in Wolfescrape Township, NC,
September 27, 1919, passed away at his home in Las Vegas, NV, April 23, 2005.
Son of Leonard Garland and Cannie Estelle Grady Southerland, married Mary
Elizabeth Daniels, Aug. 28, 1944. Marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake
Temple. He served with the Army in Germany during World War II, and was a
mechanical contractor. Blessed with an abundance of courtesy, wit, and love
for his family, (including his sugar bears, in-laws, out-laws, nieces and
nephews), he had 'itchy feet,' loved to take the 'road less traveled,' and
that has made all the difference! He lived and contracted in many states, as
well as Mexico, Hawaii, and American Samoa. His work was marked by honesty,
integrity, and a lot of singing. He and Mary served in the Jackson,
Mississippi Mission of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, as
well as a mission in the Las Vegas, Nevada, LDS Temple. Survived by his
spouse, Mary; children: J. Claire Southerland, (Orlando, FL), John G.
Southerland, (Wanda Ericson), St. Augustine, FL, Margaret S. Edwards, (the
late Ray L.), Las Vegas, NV, Phyllis S. Condos (G. Scott) Las Vegas, NV.),
Reva S. Ovard, (M. Sam), Sandy, UT, Joseph M. Southerland (Victoria Tanner,)
St. Louis, MO; 21 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral services
will be held at the Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 S. Highland Dr., Thursday, April
29, 2005 at 11:00 a.m., followed by interment in the Holladay Cemetery. A

Trujillo, Antonio Catarino
Antonio Catarino Trujillo 1931 ~ 2005 Antonio C. Trujillo, loving husband,
father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away peacefully Saturday,
April 23, 2005. He was born the second of four children in Macfee, CO to
Antonio and Estella Trujillo. He was an active member of the Beehive Chef
Association for over 20 years, awarded Chef of the Year in '85-'86, and had
received a Lifetime Achievement Award. The greatest loves of his life were his
wife, Linda of 32 years, his family and a "great meal." Tony had a strong will
and believed that honesty and hard work made a genuine human being. He is
survived by his wife, Linda; son, Bill (Linda); daughters, Dolly Price, Annie
Trujillo, Nora (Ryan) Matson, Connie Cloud; 10 grandchildren and four
great-grandchildren; siblings, Elinor Salas, Filbert Salazar and Angie
Velasquez. Preceded in death by two grandchildren. Rosary will be Wednesday,
April 27th, 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 715 W. 300 N., followed
by Mass at 10:30. Funeral directors, Redwood Memorial Mortuary. In lieu of

Vance, Rhea LaVon Lott
Rhea LaVon Lott Vance 1907 ~ 2005 Rhea LaVon Lott Vance, daughter of George
Albert and Eliza Ann Kelly Lott, passed gently from this life due to
conditions incident to age. She was born in American Fork, Utah and moved to
Lehi, Utah when she was two months old. She lived in Lehi until she was
married. On March 10, 1926, she married Angus Vance in the Salt Lake LDS
Temple, who preceded her in death. Angus and Rhea had three children: Blaine
A. Vance (Nat) of Salt Lake City; Valene V. Bonner of Grand Junction, CO; and
Neldon L. Vance (Lynn) of Kaysville. They moved to Tooele, Utah, where she and
her husband owned a family business. Rhea was very active in the 4-H Club,
Relief Society, Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, and held many positions in
various programs in the LDS Church. In 1956, Angus and Rhea returned to Lehi,
where they operated an egg farm. She is survived by her three children; 17
grandchildren; 59 great grandchildren; and 35 great-great grandchildren. The
family would like to thank the staff at Greenwood Elderly Care Center, the
Hospice people in Lehi, and a special thanks to Colby Jacobson of 1st Choice
for the excellent care given her over the past several years. Funeral services
will be Thursday, April 28, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. in the Wing Mortuary Chapel,
118 E. Main, Lehi, where family and friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until time

Wood, Clarence David "Woody"
Clarence David Wood "Woody" Woody passed away April 23, 2005 of natural
causes, surrounded by his family. He was born January 17, 1929 in Salt Lake
City, Utah to George and Luella Wood. He entered the Navy in 1946. He married
the love of his live, Bonnie Evans, Feb. 11, 1963 and they are the proud
parents of four sons. He worked at a local construction company for more than
38 years before his retirement; he also had a passion for cars. He was a hard
worker and took pride in a job well done. He is preceded in death by his wife,
Bonnie. He is survived by sons, David (Gail), James (Teara), Paul (Rachel),
and Gary (Angela); seven grandchildren, Matt, Ashley, Adam, Bonnie, McKenzie,
Cole, and Rylee. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April
28, 2005 at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan.
Friends and family may call on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. and for one hour prior
to services. Interment, Redwood Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a
donation may be made to your favorite charity in Clarence's name. We'll really
