Closer to home, she couldn't miss traveling to Southern Utah each summer to attend performances of the Utah Shakespearean Festival. Shirley was particularly active in the P.E.O. Sisterhood, in which she was recently recognized as a "Golden Girl" for her 50+ years of membership; she was a member of Chapter O, Utah. Shirley's enthusiasm for the Utah Jazz is legendary, and she seldom missed a game; she was also a lifelong baseball fan. One of Shirley's favorite pastimes was fishing for salmon in the Pacific Ocean off the Oregon coast, and she had many tales of the "one that got away". Her radiant smile and her infectious laugh brightened every life she touched. She is survived by her daughters, Wendy W. Corbett of Atlanta, Georgia, and Mary K. W. Moore, of Salt Lake City, Utah; her son, David R. Workman of Petaluma, California; and her granddaughter, Abigail Christine Elizabeth Anne Workman, also of Petaluma, California.
