Allen, Robert Lewis           
Robert Lewis Allen 1918 ~ 2005 Robert Lewis Allen, age 86, passed away August
25, 2005 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 22, 1918 in
Teton, Idaho the son of Robert and Sarah Furness Allen. He married LaRee Terry
June 23, 1947 in the Salt Lake Temple. She died September 15, 1989. Throughout
his life he was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints. After serving an LDS mission he joined the Marine Corp and served in
the South Pacific in World War II. He graduated form the U of U in electrical
engineering and worked at Hill Air Force Base for over 47 years. His kind and
gentle ways were an example to all his family. Survived by daughter and two
sons: Lorna (John) Evans, Bountiful; Terry Allen, Bountiful; David (Cindy)
Allen, West Jordan and 10 grandchildren. Preceded in death by two sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 29, 2005 at the
Bountiful 41st Ward, 33 South Moss Hill Drive (1500 East). Friends may call
Sunday, August 28 from 6-8 pm at Lindquist's Bountiful Mortuary, 727 North 400
East and Monday 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment: Bountiful Memorial

Anderson, John "Andy"         
John Anderson "Andy" John Anderson, age 88, passed away August 26, 2005 in
Salt Lake City. Born August 3, 1917 in Moline, Manitoba, Canada a son of
Andrew Hansen and Christine Petersen Anderson. Married Mary Jane Thompson
January 5, 1944 in Grand Junction, CO. John was a kind and loving husband and
father. He served in World War II from 1940-1945, where he re-ceived the
Bronze Star. He worked 34 years for Kennecott Copper as a carpenter. Survived
by wife, Mary Jane; son, Gary (Irmaleda); daughter, Karen Williams; eight
grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Hans, Andrew, Albert;
sister, Olga Nichols. Preceded in death by daughter, Susan; sisters, JoAnna,
and Kathleen; daughter-in-law, Linda; granddaughter, Kristy. Funeral services
will be Tuesday, 12 noon, at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road,
where friends and family may visit Monday, 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday, 11-11:45 a.m.
Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates. The family extends sincere thanks to
Caresource for their loving care.

Balderama, Eleanor Manchago        
Eleanor Manchago Balderama 1942 ~ 2005 Eleanor Manchago Balderama passed away
August 24, 2005 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born April 12, 1942 in
Saguache, Colorado to Frank and Erma Manchago. Eleanor was of the LDS faith.
She loved music as well as playing the piano. She was a wonderful homemaker
and cook, and she loved the Lord and her family very much. Education was very
important to her. She graduated from high school and completed four years of
college. Eleanor went on to work with Hispanic Affairs at the University of
Utah, and as a legal secretary and an accountant. She married young and had
four children. She is survived by her children, Francis McNeil, Teresa
Gonzalez, Tim Gonzalez, and Elizabeth Balderama; four grandchildren, Cipi
Maestes, Cedar Gonzalez, Laresa McNeil, and Joseph Gonzalez; her sister, Glad
(Sam) Pacheco, CA; two brothers, Dennis and Ray Maez (SLC). She was preceded
in death by all parents and grandparents, two sisters, one brother, and one
grandchild. Memorial services will be held Monday, August 29, 2005, 1 p.m. at
the Emerson Ward, 1700 S. 1100 E., Salt Lake City, Utah. She is at last free
of the pain of this world - may God guide her home.

Barnett, Eva Fessenden        
Eva Fessenden Barnett 1918 ~ 2005 Eva Fessenden Barnett passed away August 25,
2005 in Salt Lake City due to age related causes. She will be missed by all
who knew her. Eva was born Nov. 9, 1918 in Salt Lake City to Reinhard and
Margaret Schmidt. A graduate of South High School in Salt Lake, she married
Walter L. Fessenden in 1938. They were later divorced at the end of World War
II. She later married one of the world's most wonderful men, Shirl W. "Barney"
Barnett. Eva worked for the Federal Government throughout World War II,
spending much of her career in the San Francisco area. She returned to Salt
Lake and spent the last 24 years of her working career with the Defense Supply
Agency. She was an avid bowler. She is survived by her children, Roy Fessenden
(Linda), The Villages, FL, Ron Fessenden (Pat), Sandy, Pamela Elder, Salt
Lake, Doug Barnett (Dorothy), Parris, CA, Donna Lee Kolb (Don), Roy, UT; 17
grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; sister, Gladys, Salt Lake; and numerous
nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at Wasatch Lawn Memorial
Park, 3401 Highland Drive, Wednesday August 31, 2005, 11 a.m. Friends and
family may call at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Tuesday August 30, between 6-8 p.m.

Billinis, John Alexander           
John Alexander Billinis 8/6/24 ~ 8/24/05 John Billinis, beloved husband,
father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother passed away August 24,
2005 after a hard-fought struggle with Alzheimer's Disease. He is survived by
his wife of 53 years, Rita, of Salt Lake City; children, Gus and Barbara
Billinis Colessides, of Houston, TX, Katherine Billin-is, of Salt Lake City,
Alexander and Vilma Billinis, of Chicago, IL; grandchildren, John and
Alexandra Colessides Solis, Maria Colessides and John Alexander Billinis;
great-granddaugh-ter, Cassia Elena Solis; brother, Gus Billinis and his
family, of Great Falls, MT; and sisters, Eleni and Maria and their families in
Athens, Greece; in-laws, Sam and Mary Souvall, Pete and Mary Souvall, Toula
Souvall, all of Salt Lake City; and Ann Souvall, Phoenix, AZ; along with their
families. Born August 6, 1924 to Alexander and Barbara Karintzis Billinis in
Hydra, Greece. John grew up exhibiting a pride in his heritage and a love of
Greek poetry and legend. As a teen during the Nazi occupation of Greece, he
used his keen intellect and knack for commerce to support his family. After
the liberation of Greece, John served in the Greek Navy as a signalman, then
worked for a time for the Greek government, and later joined the Merchant
Marine, rising to apprentice captain. While visiting relatives in Salt Lake
City during a leave in 1952, he met the love of his life and married Rita
Souvall February 22, 1953. John began his business career first with his
brothers-in-law, Andy, Sam, George, and Pete, at Souvall Brothers and Utah
Sundries; then later as founder and president of Billinis Distributing. He was
vice president of ABC Records and Tapes, later at Alta Industries, and then
president of J.B. Distributing. A co-founder of the National Association of
Record Merchandisers, he served a term as president in 1966-67. He also served
on the Advisory Council of the Utah Small Business Administration and on the
Industrial Board of Review. His later pursuits concentrated on commercial real
estate investments. John deeply believed in giving back to his community. He
worked for his church as a board member, and a cornerstone founder of Prophet
Elias Greek Orthodox Church. His stewardship and devotion was later recognized
by the Orthodox Ecumenical Patriarchate when he was named an Archon of the
Order of St. Andrew. In the larger community, he served as a board member for
Ballet West and for the March of Dimes. A proud lifelong Democrat, he
instilled in his children his love of learning and of his heritage, and a
belief that those who were fortunate had an obligation to give something back
for the common good. John will be remembered by family and friends as a man of
steadfast faith, high moral principles, and with having a profound belief in
the essential goodness of mankind. His wife, Rita; and daughter, Kathy, nursed
him tirelessly in his final years. Viewing will be at Deseret Mortuary, 36 E.
700 So., Monday, Aug. 29 from 6-8 p.m. with Trisagion services at 7:30 p.m.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2005, 11 a.m. at Prophet Elias
Greek Orthodox Church, 5335 So. Highland Dr. In lieu of flowers, the family
suggests contributions to the Holy Trinity Cathedral Restoration Fund. May his
memory be eternal.

Cheney, Celeste Anne          
Celeste Anne Cheney 9/19/02 ~ 8/30/05 Born September 19, 2002, passed away
Friday evening at Primary Children's Medical Center, after battling congenital
heart disease for nearly three years. Celeste touched the lives of everyone
who met her. She is survived by her parents, Jeremy and Lisa; and her older
brother, Dallin. Viewing will be held Tuesday, August 30, 2005, from 10-10:45
a.m., after which funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. at the North Canyon

Clark, Donald Dean       
Donald Dean Clark 1934 ~ 2005 Donald Dean Clark, "Dr. Don," and teacher
extraordinaire, died at home August 26, 2005. Don was born in Sparks, Nevada
November 1, 1934 to Vera Gerber and Harry Earl Clark, but spent most of his
younger years in Northern California where he graduated from Yuba City High
School before going on to earn advanced degrees from Brigham Young University
and the University of Arizona. The Don Clark family has resided in South
Jordan for 25 years. The focus of Don's life was teaching, whether he was
teaching his seven children, or the many students in his mathematics and
church classrooms, teaching the Gospel to the Hawaiian people he so loved
while on his mission, or instructing the math teachers in his many in service
workshops. He was well known and respected by other math educators around the
state of Utah during his tenure as state mathematics specialist. He is greatly
loved by his wife, Joann Marie Smith, whom he married May 29, 1962; and by his
children, Bryce, Jody Jensen (Tim), Christina Powell (Mike), Lane (Kelsey),
Spencer (Rebecca), Nathan, Ryan (Bobbisue). Don felt great affection for his
grandchildren, Jacob, Joshua, Andrea, Jilian, Josie, Andrew, Gavin, Cache,
Amelia, Janzy Don, and Charlotte. Don is survived by his wife and children;
brothers, Earl Clark (Joyce) of Gilbert, Arizona, Dick Clark (Carolyn) of
Portland, Oregon, Keith Clark (Anna) of Monticello, Utah; and sisters, Barbara
Wood (Walt) of Marysville, California, Loretta Shaw (Glen) of Sequim,
Washington. Don was preceded in death by his parents, Vera and Harry. His
family wishes to thank his hospice nurse, Ann, and aide, Sonnie, for their
devoted and loving care during the last months of his illness. Special thanks
should also be given to the staff at South Valley Dialysis for their
exceptional care and professionalism. Funeral services will be held
Wed-nesday, August 31, 11 a.m. at the South Jordan Utah Stake Center, 2450
West 10400 South, South Jordan. With a visitation the evening before from 6-8
p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 1007 W. South Jordan Pkwy (10600 So.), South
Jordan and one hour before the funeral services at the stake center.

Costello, Esther Marie        
Esther Marie Costello "Gone Dancing With Frank!" Esther Marie Costello, my
sweet and precious mom, returned to the welcome arms of her Heavenly Father;
and her husband, Frank, August 26, 2005. She was born May 9, 1917 in Murray,
Utah to Herman and Anna Carlson Holmgren. On October 21, 1939, Esther married
Frank Costello in Salt Lake City, Utah. Frank preceded her in death September
29, 1989. Esther was a member of St. Therese Parrish in Midvale. She worked at
the Salt Lake Clinic for 29 years and volunteered at the Veterans
Administration Hospital in Salt Lake for 25 years Frank and Esther loved
music, traveling and dancing. Survivors include daughter, Colleen Costello,
Midvale; brother and sister-in-law, Melvin and Audrey Holmgren, Seattle,
Washington; brother-in-law, Grant Weech; special nephew, Don Zakraisek and his
wife, Tina; very precious and special great-nephew, Zane; she will also be
missed by many wonderful friends. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday,
August 31, 2005, 10 a.m. at St. Therese Catholic Church, 624 West Lennox St.,
Midvale, Utah. A Rosary and Vigil service will be held Tuesday, August 30,
2005, 7:30 p.m. at St. Therese Church where friends may call from 6-7:30 p.m.

Deppe, Lola Winward           
Lola Winward Deppe 1920 ~ 2005 Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister,
aunt, and friend, Lola Winward Deppe, passed away August 24, 2005 in Salt Lake
City, Utah. Born in Preston, Idaho January 19, 1920 to Bryan Hunsaker and
Elsie May Farmer Winward. Married Ralph Stacey Deppe April 24, 1946 in the
Logan, Utah LDS Temple. They enjoyed 59 years together. Lola was a faithful
member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served as a
missionary in California, stake and ward Primary president, and three times as
ward Relief Society president. She enjoyed working with her husband in the
Salt Lake Temple. She was a valiant servant with a strong testimony of Jesus
Christ. She loved sewing, making quilts, crocheting and serving others. Lola
is survived by her husband; children, LaRue (Jerry) Nelson, Bard, CA, Lyle
(Jeryl Ann), Taylorsville, UT, Mariella (Sterling) Potter, Price, UT, Bonnie
(Val) Smith, Folsom, CA, Ronald (Pam), Cottonwood Heights, UT, Scott
(Sherrie), Sandy, UT, Leland (Teresa), Sandy, UT; 18 grandchildren; seven
great-grandchildren; sisters, Farel Rush, Joy Hadley; brother, Ned Winward.
Preceded in death by parents; sisters, Ofa Shimmer, Sheila White; brother,
Mark Winward; and two grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Monday
August 29, 2005, 11 a.m. at the Salt Lake 10th Ward, 420 So. 800 E. Salt Lake

English Jr., Richard Davis         
Richard Davis English, Jr. 1958 ~ 2005 Our beloved husband, father and son,
Richard Davis English, Jr., 47, passed away August 20, 2005 due to an
automobile accident. He was born January 19, 1958 in Oberlin, Louisiana to
Richard Davis English, Sr. and Jacqueline Singleton English. He married the
love of his live, Pamela Leigh Seiler on March 8, 1985 in Greenville,
Mississippi. Rick served in the U. S. Army Infantry from 1976-1978. He worked
as a highly skilled welder and fabricator. For several years he served as
chairman and treasurer for local AA chapters in Portland, Oregon and Las
Vegas, NV. He is survived by his wife Pamela, son Ryan D. English, his mother
Jackie, brother Gordon English, sister Carol English, niece Brandi English
Harvey and nephew Joey English. No words can express the unique and beautiful
character of this man who had a passionate love for his wife, son, country and
God. Richard often sacrificed his own needs for those of his family. He could
be counted upon to come through for a person or cause, no matter how difficult
the task or situation. All admired his perseverance and kindness. "Richard,
you truly were a 'diamond-in-the-rough' and will forever live on in the hearts
of your wife Pamela and son Ryan. Goodbye to a precious soul on this earth.
You are now in the loving arms of your creator and we will honor your memory
forever. Our love is yours through eternity. A private graveside service was
held in Rick's honor.

Fabry, Janice Amelia Tuttle        
Janice Amelia Tuttle Fabry 1944 ~ 2005 Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother,
sister and friend, Janice Fabry was relieved from her pain and quietly passed
away August 24, 2005. Janice was born August 10, 1944 in Salt Lake City, Utah
to Francis and Genevieve Tuttle. Married Gary L. Fabry in North Hollywood,
California May 18, 1969, later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. She was the
mother to three children, Aaron, Ryan and Sariah. Janice will be remembered as
one who crocheted beautifully (especially afghans), had a great sense of humor
and served everyone selflessly. She is survived by husband; children; three
grandchildren; one brother and four sisters. Preceded in death by her parents
and one brother. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 29th, 11:00 a.m.
at the Kearns 21st Ward, 4270 W. 5700 S. A viewing will be held Sunday evening
from 6-8 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 S. Redwood Road, and one hour
prior to services at the church.

Field, Orval Wayne       
Orval Wayne Field 11/18/24 ~ 8/25/05 Orval Wayne Field, 80, passed away
Thursday, August 25, 2005, at his home in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was
employed by Unisys. He was the son of Gilbert and Eunice Starkey Field. Wayne
married Zona O'Brian July 30, 1945 in Richmond, CA., while serving in the Navy
during World War II. They were sealed in the Los Angeles Temple August 13,
1977. Wayne graduated from the University of Utah in 1951. He is survived by
his wife; five children, Brien (Merry), Orlando, FL; Mark, Salt Lake City;
Christy Waddell, Salt Lake City; Shari (Russ) Bowers, Sandy; Linda (Luke)
Koetitz, Kaysville; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and his
sister, Betty Wisner, Ogden. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August
31, 2005, 11:00 a.m. at the East Mill Creek Stake Center, 3103 East Craig
Drive (3600 South). Friends may call at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300
East, Tuesday evening August 30, 2005 from 6-8 p.m. and at the church
Wednesday morning from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment and
grave dedication will be Wednesday 2:30 p.m. at the Ogden City Cemetery, 1875

Hardman, Patricia Dusserre         
Patricia Dusserre Hardman 1944 ~ 2005 We say farewell to our beautiful
Patricia Dusserre Hardman who left us suddenly Friday, August 26, 2005. She
was born in Price, Utah May 30, 1944 to Felix and Lodyce Dusserre. Patricia
grew up in Salt Lake City and graduated from Judge Memorial High School.
Following high school, Pat went to work at the Mountain Bell Telephone
Company, retiring after 30 years of service. The same year she began her
career at Mountain Bell, she met David B. Hardman. They married at the
Cathedral of the Madeleine August 17, 1963 and celebrated 42 years of
marriage. Her compassion, kindness, and generosity will always be remembered.
Pat cared for everyone. She became Aunt Pat to the Dee and Gerta Kartchner
family and shared their deep love and friendship. She was a kind and prayerful
sister and aunt to the Dusserre family as well. We will miss our Aunt Pat. She
is survived by her devoted and loving husband, David; brother, Michael
(Beverly) Dusserre; loving niece and nephews, Brigitte (Eric) Klement, Andrew,
Joshua, Gabriel, and John Paul Dusserre; and many friends. A Funeral Mass will
be celebrated Wednesday, 11 a.m. at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 1975 South
2300 East. A vigil service will be held Tuesday 7 p.m. at Neil O'Donnell and
Sons Mortuary, 372 East 100 South, where friends may call from 6-7 p.m.

Hunter, Rodello H.       
Rodello H. Hunter 1920 ~ 2005 Noted Utah author, Thora Rodello Hicken Hunter,
died August 19, 2005. Born in Provo, Utah, March 23, 1920 to Venus Harris
Hicken. Her father, Thomas Rollo Hicken had been killed in a mine accident two
months prior to her birth. She was adopted and reared by her paternal
grandparents in Heber City, Utah. She graduated from Wasatch High School, and
attended the University of Utah. For many years she was active in the women's
auxiliaries of the LDS Church. She was the Salt Lake City Chairperson for the
Last Mother's March to raise funds for polio. For several years she was one of
the editors of the Utah Fish and Game Magazine. She was the author of A House
of Many Rooms, A Daughter of Zion, and Wyoming Wife, all published by Alfred
A. Knopf; two were translated into many languages by Reader's Digest Book
Club. Her books are National Library Selections. At the time of her death she
was, with the dedicated assistance of Bonnie Snow, working toward publication
of Knock, a book about her spiritual guides. Her stories, articles and poems
appeared in numerous magazines. She wrote a newspaper column, "Vinegar Pie",
for the Jackson Hole Guide and had an enthusiastic poetry fan club of American
soldiers who were serving in Germany as well as a fourth-grade class in Salt
Lake City. She was made a member of the Mark Twain Literary Society for her
contribution to American Literature and is listed in "Who's Who in the West."
Many who encountered Rodello were touched by an indomitable spirit and a
powerful presence. They will carry that presence into the future. While not
conventionally religious, she had a profound and never shaken trust in a
compassionate God. Rodello had a gift for friendship and was richly gifted in
return. Her family expresses gratitude for the hours of loving companionship
provided by caring friends. They wish to assure friends that she did "...not
go gentle into that good night" but nonetheless did so with humor and grace.
She bids her family and friends a fond farewell. Her family thanks the staff
at Caresource Hospice for their sensitive assistance. She is survived by three
daughters, Sally Wenzler (Len) of Phoenix, Arizona, Ann Hunter of Salt Lake
City, Barbara Ballingham (Richard) of Salt Lake City; four grandchildren; five
great-grandchildren; and her cherished malamute, Sahma. A memorial service
will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 8, 2005 at Red Butte Gardens
(from Foothill Blvd go east at Wakara Way-650 S.). In lieu of flowers,
contributions may be made to the Utah Humane Society or the State of Utah
Library for the Blind.

Jensen, Severin          
Severin Jensen 1923 ~ 2005 Sev - Our Farfar Our loving husband, father,
grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend passed away peacefully in
the arms of his loving wife and sons on Tuesday August 23, 2005 in Holladay,
Utah. Sev was born June 20, 1923 in Lisbjerg, Denmark to Anders Peter and Ane
Henriksen Jensen. Sev was an educated printer. He spent four years of his
apprenticeship in Ebeltoft and Copenhagen Denmark. He retired from The Church
Printing Center (Deseret News Press) after 40 years. Sev was extremely
talented in all of his tasks. Every task he engaged in was completed with
perfect success. He would also say "I'm a jack of all trades and a master of
none". Sev was a master, he was simply too proud to admit it. Sev is survived
by his wife, Amy; sons, Michael (Stacy) and Graydon; and Janice Jensen, five
grandchildren, Kristal (Tim), Michael, Jordan, Aimee and Natasha; two
great-grand-children, Alyssa and Kirsten. Sev was preceded in death by his son
(Gary). Family and friends may visit from 6-7:30 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260
East South Temple, August 28, 2005 and again from 10:45-11:45 on August 29,
2005 prior to the service to be held at 12 noon. Interment for Sev and his son
Gary Prestmann Jensen will immediately follow at Salt Lake City Cemetery. A
very special thanks to Bishop David O'Leary and all those at The Residence of
Care Source who assisted Sev and his family on this grand journey, you are
truly amazing. Dad, it was your finest game ever. Thank you for the lessons of
love.

Jex, Victor Bird         
Victor Bird Jex 1919 ~ 2005 Our beloved husband, father and grandfather,
Victor Bird Jex, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2005 in Salt Lake City.
Born to Heber Charles and Sarah Emeline Jex in Salt Lake City on April 17,
1919, he was the youngest of eleven children. After receiving his bachelor and
master degrees from the University of Utah and his PhD from MIT, Vic worked as
a research chemist for Union Carbide, eventually becoming Director of the
Consumer Products Laboratory. His lifetime of devoted service to the LDS
church included a mission to the Northwestern States as a young man. He later
served as a Branch President, District President, Stake President, Counselor
to five Mission Presidents, and President of the Hawaii Temple. Following
retirement, he also served in church assignments in Israel, Kenya, Ireland,
the Philippines, and the Family History Mission in Salt Lake City. Vic was a
veteran of World War II and received the Bronze Star for his service as an
artillery officer in the European Theater. He was also awarded the Silver
Beaver for his lifelong service to the Boy Scouts of America. He leaves behind
his wife, Marva Tingey Jex; his children, Douglass and Linda Jex, Janet and
Morgan Hatt, and Timothy and Chie Jex; five grandchildren; four
great-grandchildren; and sister, Lois Bagley. Vic was much loved and respected
by all who knew him. Funeral services will be Monday, Aug 29, 2005 at 10 a.m.
at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. So. Temple, Salt Lake with viewing from 6:00 p.m.
to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, August 28, 2005. Interment at Salt Lake City Cemetery.

Kay, Garth Houghton           
Garth Houghton Kay "Fix it Man" Garth Houghton Kay was born December 3, 1927,
in Mona, Utah to Jesse Arnold and Jennie Pearl Houghton Kay. Died at home on
August 26, 2005 holding the hand of his life long sweetheart, Faye. He was the
youngest of five children. Garth led an extraordinarily exciting and diverse
life. At the ripe old age of 12 he went on an adventure to California driving
a car for a wealthy elderly gentleman. He stayed with him for about a year and
wanted more adventures so he hitchhiked back home to Mona but worked at odd
jobs on the way including driving a huge mining dump truck and was a coal man
for the railroad (He was around 13 at this time). He was a self taught man who
was gentle with those he loved. He could fix and build anything and did. He
worked at many jobs in his life and retired from Lennox Industries as a
warehouse manager in 1988 after 22 years. He loved to talk to and help his
family and friends and they loved to hear the exciting stories of his life
adventures. He could tell stories with the best of them. Up until the last
month of his life, he would tinker in his workshop repairing and building
anything he could find. We love you, sweetheart, daddy, and friend. We will

Keate, Raymond S.        
Raymond S. Keate "We all cannot be here at the same time" Raymond S. Keate
passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, August 25, 2005. He was born
April 24, 1924. He married Denise McCall, and together they had seven
children. Raymond was a noted entrepreneur, inventor, and business owner in
Utah. His companies, Glass Fiber Industries and Air Filter Services, employed
and served many people. He loved marine fish, roses, and science, and spent
his life helping and supporting others. He is survived by his seven children,
Cecelia (Howard) Mitchell, Christopher (Kelly) Keate, Margaret Keate, Michael
Keate, Catherine (Lonnie) Childers, Elizabeth (Mark) Kandola, Mary (Steve)
Dietz; eleven grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. Memorial services
will be held Monday, August 29, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens,
1950 East 10600 South, Sandy, Utah. A reception will follow at Le Jardin, in
the same location, from 3:30-5:30 p.m.

Koehler, Hans E.         
Hans E. Koehler "Dutch" Our beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and
friend, Hans E. Koehler died August 26, 2005. He began his life November 11,
1924 in Leipzig, Germany the son of Ernest M. and Margaret Geissler Koehler.
He married Betty Ellison in 1946; later divorced. Married Betty Meredith July
11, 1981 who preceded him in death August 27, 2003. He retired from P.I.E.
Trucking Co. after 35 years of service. Hans owned and operated Superior
Typewriter Service and contracted with Salt Lake City Board of Education for
many years. He was an avid train collector, member of Utah Historical Railway
Society (Promontory Chapter), TTOS, and many others. He enjoyed several trips
transporting rocket boosters from Thiokol to Cape Canaveral for the Space
Shuttle. Survived by three children, David E. (Carol) Koehler, Sue (Scott)
Kojima, Lynn E. Koehler; Diane Koehler; and special friend, Sara Ataata; six
grandchildren; and six great-grand-children; sisters, Ann (John) Gunther and
Marion (Warner) Hallman; many nieces nephews and friends. I love you, my
children David, Susie and Lynn Forgive me for leaving this way. Don't cry, I'm

Palica, Toula       
Toula Palica 1926 ~ 2005 Early Wednesday morning, August 24, 2005, we were
blessed to witness the very last breath of our beloved mother, Toula Palica,
79. An idyllic beginning took many extraordinary turns to fashion a woman
who's fierce, unconditional love for her children and family will forever
shape the generations ahead. Toula was born August 15, 1926 to Andrianos and
Eleni Efstathiou in a small village outside Athens, Greece, the second of four
children. During her teen years Greece became an occupied country and the
atrocities of war hit her family harshly. Her father was captured while he and
his youngest son were in the midst of his black market operation to bring food
to the village and was never heard of again. Consequently many members of her
family and village starved to death. At the end of World War II Greece was
left devastated. Toula's greatest desire was to come to America in hopes of
finding a better life. In 1953 she was introduced, through a letter, to John
Palica from the USA. They corresponded, through interpreters, when he asked
her to marry him, she accepted! He came to Greece that summer for their very
first meeting and two weeks later, August 19, 1954, they were married in
Athens...she spoke no English and he no Greek! Shortly afterward John brought
Toula to his home in Southern California where they settled for the next 30
years raising two children. Words are unable to adequately express the
extraordinary love and impact she left on the lives of her children and
grandchildren except to say that in her last, extremely difficult year, she
fought death more than once, to receive just a few more hours with her family
and hoping to see her youngest grandson come home from his mission in Africa
in November, one last time. Toula is survived by her children, Eleni and John
Jr.; her grandchildren, Blake, Michelle, Andrew, Kylie, Jamie, Maddie; and her
younger brother, Kristos. It is with gratitude, beyond words, that we thank
God for the great blessing of being her children. We love you and honor you
forever, mom. Your legacy lives on through us. Funeral services will be held
Monday August 29, 2005 at 12 noon in the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home at 646
East 800 North, Orem, Utah. A viewing will be held 10:30-11:30 a.m. prior to

Peel, F. Dee        
F. Dee Peel 1924 ~ 2005 MAGNA/SANDY - Our loving husband, father, grandfather,
and brother, Frank Dee Peel, 81, passed away peacefully surrounded by his
family August 24, 2005 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born May 28, 1924 in
Spanish Fork, Utah to James Franklin and Jesse Hales Peel. He married
Geraldine Martin February 19, 1947 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Dee grew up in
Magna during the Great Depression and graduated from Cyprus High School class
of '42. He attended BYU before entering the U.S. Army and served in the
European Theater. As an active member of the LDS Church, he served in many
callings including bishop of the Spencer 1st Ward, missionary to the Dallas,
Texas Temple, with his wife, and temple worker in the Jordan River Temple. In
1953 Dee founded the Peel Funeral Home and took great satisfaction in serving
Magna and the surrounding communities. Former president of the Magna Lions
Club and Brockbank Jr. High PTA. He served on the board of directors for both
the Magna Chamber of Commerce and the Utah Funeral Directors Association, and
as chairman of the Utah State Funeral Service Committee for seven years. He
was a skilled craftsman and enjoyed woodworking and carpentry. Survived by his
wife of 58 years, Gerry; eight children, Debbie Peel, Tommy Peel, Tim
(Marilyn) Peel, Beckie (Mike) Southwick, Court (Ginger) Peel, Shellie (Jeff)
Anderson, Brint (Lisa) Peel, and Candie (Matt) Petty; 24 grandchildren; three
great-grandchildren; sister, Wanda Beck; brothers and sisters-in-law; and many
nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law, Glen and
Mabel Martin; and brothers-in-law, Hollis Martin and Lloyd Beck. The family
wishes to thank Dr. Rada, Dr. Poku, and the doctor and nursing staffs at Alta
View and St. Marks Hospitals for their compassionate care. Funeral services
will be held 12 noon Monday, August 29, 2005 at the Magna Stake Center, 3084

Marc Allan Ringwood Will Be Missed Marc Allan Ringwood, 29, died August 16,
2005 unexpectedly at his home in Seattle. Lived in Salt Lake from 1985-1991,
attended William Penn Elementary and Olympus Junior. A music journalist and
historian, Marc traveled throughout the U.S. interviewing country and
alternative country songwriters and musicians, critiquing music, and promoting
their efforts through his website, www.rootshighway.com. Survived by his
mother, Kathy Ringwood, and her partner, Peggy West, uncles Michael and Dennis
Ringwood, and a large extended family. Memorial service planned for Saturday,

Robinson, Lorin Jack          
Lorin Jack Robinson Lived a life of miracles! Born into this world a blue baby
August 8, 1929 to O. Leo Robinson and Murtice Lees Robinson. He struggled
through life with many illnesses but through the power of the priesthood was
healed many times. Finally free from his pain, he returned to his Heavenly
Father August 25, 2005. He has been reunited with his parents and loved ones.
Preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Eugene, Glen, and Jay; two
sisters; and his sweet great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn. He will be most
remembered for his fun-loving playful personality, his classic jokes, his
flirtatious whistles, and his contagious smile. He married his eternal
companion, Shirley Bernard, December 7, 1953. He was often heard saying, "That
day was the beginning of World War III. We've had many major and minor battles
and she's won them all!" The two of them have an amazing relationship. They
could communicate without saying a word and always finished each other's
sentences. The second love of his life were his scouts. He spent 30 years in
the scouting program, 15 of those years as a beloved scoutmaster. He
personally guided and influenced more than 150 boys in receiving their Eagle
Scout Award. He was so very proud of this accomplishment and he genuinely
loved and cared about each boy. He served an LDS mission in "Paradise" where
he grew to love the Tahitian people and their culture. Our family will miss
his Tahitian prayers and lullabies. He loved the gospel of Jesus Christ and
spent many hours in the service of the Lord. He held a variety of callings
including seven years as a veil worker in the Jordan River Temple. He served a
second mission with his sweetheart in the Alabama, Birmingham Mission. He
loved the people of Tuskegee and they loved him. He enjoyed his lifelong
career as a grocer for 50 years and held the position of store manager in many
stores. He was definitely a people person with an outgoing personality which
drew in many customers. His military service was in Korea where he served in
the U.S. Army Infantry-25th Division. He was in charge of the 81 Mortars and
also served as the LDS group leader. Jack is survived by his "Greatest Joys,"
Gary (Marie) Robinson, Danny Robinson, and Shasta, Wendy (Kurt) Rosenhan,
Tanya Robinson, Darrell (Lisa) Robinson, Teresa (Norman) Anderson; 20
grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. He found simple pleasures in
watching and supporting his family. You could always find him in the audience
or on the sidelines cheering us on. All our love to his lifetime friends, Dave
(Norma) Haslam, Ernie (Laura Jean) Van Bibber, Bill (Joann) Shelton, and Dave
Halford who preceded him in death (Judy). Funeral services Tuesday, August
30th at 11 a.m. LDS chapel, 5235 S Wesley Rd. (1107 E). The family will
receive friends Monday evening 6-8 p.m. at Memorial Mortuary 5850 S. 900 E.
and Tuesday 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church. A special

Sheya, Leon Richard           
Leon Richard Sheya 1925 ~ 2005 Leon Richard Sheya, husband, father, and
friend, passed away peacefully August 15, 2005 at his home, supported by
family and caring friends. He died of complications from diabetes. He was born
September 5, 1925 in Provo, Utah where he spent the first few years of his
life. His family later moved to Salt Lake City where he graduated from East
High School. After volunteering for duty in the U.S. Army Air Force during
World War II and serving as a navigator on B-29s, Leon graduated from the
University of Utah. He married Patricia Bartz in 1950 and had five children.
He was a man of high integrity, a true family man and an astute businessman,
starting and running a mechanical contracting company named Rocky Mountain
Refrigeration. He and Pat loved the outdoors, and had many adventures with
their family, from hunting and fishing trips, to water skiing and white water
rafting. His love of family and sense of adventure lives on in his children.
Leon retired in 1978 after selling his successful business. He and Pat built a
house in Mexico overlooking San Carlos Bay where they spent the winter months.
They relished their time spent on the Sea of Cortez. Leon is survived by his
wife of many years, Pat; and their five children, Richard, Sharon, Paul, Sue
Anne, and Cynthia; eight grandchildren; and his sole surviving sibling, his
younger brother, Larry. As per his wishes there will be no formal funeral,
rather a private gathering of family and friends.

Snow, Elizabeth Todd          
Elizabeth Todd Snow 1918 ~ 2005 "Beth" Snow reluctantly succumbed to the
demands of time just hours after her 87th birthday. She was preceded in death
by her husband Gordon on August 20, 1999. Beth was born in Roosevelt, Utah on
August 24, 1918 to Douglas M. and Margaret Burton Todd. Beth was a gourmet
cook who attracted invited guests as well as those who accidentally dropped by
at the dinner hour in the hopes that extra food and generosity might be their
reward, as it often was. As with her cooking she also became an expert
seamstress and continued to create unique designs and fashionable clothing for
her daughters and daughters-in-law for years after they were married. As a
graduate of BYU, a Homecoming Queen and a member of the Val Norn sorority she
attracted the attention of our father, whose only previous love had been
tennis. He quickly learned just how difficult this conquest would become.
After several years of competing courtships our father finally convinced our
mother to marry him on November 23, 1940 in the Salt Lake Temple. Just one
week before the birth of their first child her husband left for the war, and
with rare exception they did not see each other again until World War II
concluded. Upon Dad's return five more children would bless our growing
family. Our mother witnessed first-hand the effects of the depression and
consequently had learned not only the value of money but of hard work. She
taught both principles to her children emphasizing, before it became
fashionable, that men should share the housework, which they certainly did.
Her boys got nowhere in suggesting that this also meant that their sisters
should also learn how to do yard work. Mother was always tenacious in her zest
for life. You were never left wondering what she thought about any particular
subject. She was always forthright and completely honest in her views. She
always believed thoughtfulness was something you had to teach and well she
did. She became a favorite of her care givers never forgetting to thank them
for all the tender care they provided. When the children were grown mom went
to work for the Real Estate Department of The Church of Jesus of Latter-day
Saints. She retired there at the age of 70 after 20 plus years of impeccable
service. It was noted at her retirement party that there were new employees
who had already missed more work in a year than our mother had during her
entire employment with the Church. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ
of Latter-day Saints Beth's greatest love was that of teaching young women.
This she did for almost two decades developing friendships that have endured
the passage of time. Beth is survived by her children, Grant (Arlene), Joanne
(John) Neumann, Greg (Barbara), Sherrie (Jim) Jones, Annette (Robert) Sperry,
Connie (Steve) Gleason, 24 grandchildren and 15, soon to be 18,
great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and
most recently her sister and close friend, Elaine Page and her grandson Danny
Sperry. Beth is only the second of nine children where longevity is both a
blessing and a challenge to have passed away, with her oldest sister having
recently celebrated her 90th birthday. Funeral services and the viewing will
be held at Larkin Sunset Lawn located at 2350 East 1300 South in Salt Lake.
The funeral will be at 12 noon on Monday, August 29, 2005. Friends and family
may call Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. and from 10:45 to 11:45 prior to the
funeral. Interment will be at Larkin Sunset Lawn directly following the
service. The family wants to thank the caregivers at the Courtyard at
Jamestown in Provo for the professional and loving care they gave our mother
as the quality of her life became more challenging to take care of. Their
patience and loving kindness brought peace to our mother and great consolation
to her family. You have our eternal gratitude for the difference you made.

Steinfeldt, Kenneth J.        
Kenneth J. Steinfeldt 1932 ~ 2005 Mr. Kenneth J. Steinfeldt, 72, of
Goldendale, WA died Thursday, August 25th at his home. He was born Nov 10,
1932 in Murray, Utah to Paul and Alida Steinfeldt. Kenneth served in the U.S.
Air Force for three years during the Korean conflict and was married to Anny
Buhl June 5 1953 in the LDS Temple in Salt Lake City. Kenneth attended the
University of Utah and Michigan State University and spent many years in law
enforcement as a deputy sheriff for Salt Lake County and later as police
sergeant for Coos Bay, OR. He was assistant chief of police for North Bend, OR
and taught law enforcement for four years at the college in North Bend. He
also served as head of the Coos County Drug Team. Ken went on to become a
field manager for the LDS Church for 21 years until his retirement. They lived
in Trout Lake for several years before moving to Goldendale. He enjoyed
farming, was an excellent carpenter and also enjoyed mountain climbing and
long distance running. Survivors include his wife, Anny of Goldendale; two
daughters, Crystal Long of Trout Lake, WA, and Sonja Hansen of Yakima, WA;
four sons, Scott of Maui, Craig of Bentonville, Ark, Todd of Reed Point, MT,
and Joey of Wilsonville, OR; 25 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two
sisters, Clara Jorgenson of West Jordan, Utah, and Rieka Smith of Idaho; two
brothers, Richard Steinfeldt of Roosevelt, Utah, and Marlin Steinfeldt of West
Jordan, Utah. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Sept. 1, 11 a.m. at the
LDS Church in Goldendale. Committal and interment will be 1 p.m. in the West
Jordan, Utah cemetery Saturday, Sept. 3. Viewing from 6-8 p.m. Wed-nesday Sept
2nd at Erdman Funeral Home in Goldendale.

Taaffe, Peter Dunne           
Peter Dunne Taaffe 1946 ~ 2005 Our dear husband, father, brother, and friend
died of pneumonia after bravely battling declining health August 25, 2005.
Peter's family would like to express their admiration and appreciation to Dr.
Kelton Lundsberg, Dr. Marc Zenger, Kathy, Brenda, and the entire staff of the
Intensive Care Unit and Special Care units at Cottonwood Hospital, and Deacon
Paul Graham from St. John's Parish. Your compassion and support was
extraordinary. You eased all of our suffering. Peter was born March 28, 1946
to Ran and Katie Taaffe, the third of six rambunctious sons. He served in the
Army as a radio carrier in Europe and Vietnam. Peter could always be counted
on by his colleagues to work hard and be fair and honest. He had a long career
in automotive sales, then retired from his job as supervisor with the
Transportation Security Administration in 2004. Peter loved playing golf and
pool, skiing, hunting, reading, and his friends and family. He will be greatly
missed by his wife, Ruth Ann; his daughters, Juliet, and Angela; his brothers,
Huley Perry Jr. (Sherrill), Randal Taaffe (Vivian), James Taaffe (Marika),
Thomas Taaffe (Maya), and Alexis Taaffe. A memorial celebration will be held
Sunday, August 28, 4 p.m. at the family's home at 9862 S. Gairlock Circle,
South Jordan. Graveside funeral services are scheduled for Monday, August 29,
2005, 1 p.m. at the Utah Veterans Memorial Cemetery at Camp Williams in
Bluffdale, 17111 S. Camp Williams Road.

Webb, Gerald F.          
Gerald F. Webb 1936 ~ 2005 Gerald (Jerry) F. Webb left the loving arms of his
daughters August 25, 2005 to go to the loving arms of his mother, father, and
older brother. Jerry was an avid sportsman, who loved to fish, hunt, camp, and
made golfing his game. His most important time was spent with his family and
his extended families. Jerry's love for his daughters as well as his
additional children are widely known. Gerald Frank Webb came into this world
October 21, 1936 in Stockton, Utah to James O. Webb and Albertha Christensen
Webb. Married Carma Colene Coley; later divorced. Married Barbara Rueckert;
later divorced. Jerry worked for the Foundry for 28 years and at Hydro Flame
for 17 years. Jerry is survived by his daughters, Tami Marie Romero (David),
Toni Marcee Atkinson (Brandon); his brother, Daniel Webb (Patty);
sister-in-law, Jan Webb; his grandchildren, nieces, nephew, his extended
children and grandchildren. Jerry was preceded in death by his brother, James
Webb; mother; father; grandparents; and grandson. Per Jerry's request there
will be no viewing. Funeral services will be at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State,
Wednesday, August 31, 2005, 10 a.m., with interment at Sandy City Cemetery. In
lieu of flowers, family and friends are invited to a wake in Jerry's honor at
his brother, Daniel Webb's, home.

Webster, Ila Dunsdon          
Ila Dunsdon Webster 1928 ~ 2005 RIVERTON - On August 25, 2005, Ila Dunsdon
Webster received her diploma for life as she passed peacefully in her sleep at
her home. She was born Dec. 19, 1928 in Lehi, Utah, to William Henry Dunsdon
and Hazel Janett Bateman. She was the youngest of six children, all of who
preceded her in death. She married John Douglas "Jack" Webster on Dec. 27,
1951 in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they enjoyed nearly 54 wonderful years.
Ila grew up in Lehi. She had many talents and loved to cook, sing, sew and
quilt. Fabric was her passion. She worked as a telephone operator in Lehi and
at Mom's Fabric in Riverton. Her greatest joys came from raising her family,
enjoying her grandchildren and being with her friends. She was an active
member of the LDS Church and she devoted her life to its service. She was also
a member of the DUP, American Legion Aux. and Club 22. Ila and Jack served a
service mission at the West Jordan DI. Ila is survived by her loving husband
Jack, her children Mike (Julie) Webster, Riverton; Janet (Larry) Gale,
Elsinore; Will (Deborah) Webster, Pleasant Grove; Lori (Kerry) Tuckett, Battle
Mountain, NV; Tom (Paula) Webster, Spokane, WA; Hasee (DeWayne) Gifford,

Funeral Home, 12600 So. 2200 W. and Monday one hour prior at the church.

West, Lillian Mary Jurey           
Lillian Mary Jurey West 1915 ~ 2005 Salt Lake City, Utah - Lillian passed from
this life on Wednesday, August 24, 2005. Her life began in Eureka, Nevada on
July 14, 1915. Born to Richard Jurey and Ethel Quick Jurey. She attended
school there and upon completing the eighth grade, took on the duty of helping
her recently widowed mother run a boarding house and to care for younger
children in the family. On February 10, 1934, She and John (Jack) West, of
Salt Lake City, were married. They were to be life partners for the next 70
years. After living in Eureka until 1938 they moved to Salt Lake City and made
their family home there until 1956 when Jack's job took them to Reno, Nevada
for three years. Then, returning to Utah, she and her family made their home
in Vernal, Utah. Upon her husband's death in 2003, she moved to Salt Lake to
be with family. Lillian had been tugging on her own bootstraps from early on
and she never let up, throughout her years, in efforts to improve her family's
and her station in life. She drew heavily on her own creativeness to develop
skills that made her uniquely accomplished as a master of crafts and the
needle arts. She generously shared what she had garnered in her self education
Lillian taught classes in art and crafts through the Vernal School District's
Adult Education Program and went on to establish a family owned retail
business in Vernal where comers from far and wide enrolled in her classes. She
along with husband, Jack, operated their store on Main Street until into their
mid-eighties. She specialized in the creation of bridal gowns and wedding
entourage apparel. Memories of Lillian's good heartedness and passion for
uniqueness will live for a very long time through her creations. Most
everyone, very few exceptions, who have known Lillian has received something
that was made especially for them by those wondrously beautiful, skilled
hands. Her passion, manifest, in each deft stroke, tuck, or stitch. In her
wind down times, relaxing with the newest mystery novel or puttering with her
gardens gave her much satisfaction. As a collector, she was of championship
calibre, roaming the high desert country and mountains around Vernal foraging
for objects of nature and native artifacts to adorn and stylize her gardens.
Lillian was the fourth eldest of seven children and was the last surviving
member of her birth family. She is survived by three sons and a daughter all
of the Salt Lake City area. Verneil, Dermont (Rva), Jon (Denise) and Cleon
Garritson. There are 17 surviving grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
As one of life's bonus gifts, she enjoyed having seven grandchildren in the
fifth generation. She missed the eighth one by less than a day. Could they
have waved in passing? Services will be held Monday, at 10 am, Aug. 29, 2005
at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 10600 South and 1700 East in Sandy, Utah. Viewing
between 9:00 and 10:00 am prior to services.

Whitaker, Rosalie McCumber         
Rosalie McCumber Whitaker 11/20/20 ~ 08/26/05 OGDEN - Rosalie McCumber
Whitaker, 84, died August 26, 2005 in South Ogden, Utah. Mom was born November
20, 1920 in South Jordan to Lemuel O. McCumber and Myrtle Camille Stocking.
She was educated in the Jordan School District where she received a
scholarship to Excelcis Beauty School upon graduation from Cyprus High School.
Mom worked as beautician, and aircraft rivet inspector and as a school bus
aide during her life. She was a skilled seamstress and loved to sew. She also
had a soft spot in her heart for animals and cared for countless horses, dogs,
cats and orphaned lambs during her life. Mom enjoyed spending time with her
grandchildren, watching the Utah Jazz, dancing, reading and visiting her
cousins in Oregon. Mom was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints and served in the Primary and Young Women's organizations
and also enjoyed doing temple work. Although mom was plagued by serious health
problems much of her life, she always seemed to have the courage and
determination to carry on. She loved her family and we will miss her dearly.
Rosalie is survived by her two sons and three daughters, Ronald (Laura)
Barnes, Highland, UT, Jim (Beverly) Wilding, Reno, NV, Renee (Alex) Givens,
Grantsville, UT, Barbara (Randy) Hamblin, Clinton, UT, and Sheryl (Blaine)
Petersen, Taylorsville, UT; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchild-ren; and her
beloved cat, Jumbo. The family wishes to express a sincere thanks to all of
the many caregivers for their tender and loving care of our mother. A special
thanks to Country Pines, the Physical and Occupational Therapy Staff of Manor
Care, and all of the hospice services that cared for her over the last few
years. Funeral services will be held Tues. August 30, 2005, 11 a.m. at the
Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Road. Friends and family may
call from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the mortuary prior to the service. Interment,

Ms. Ollie Mae Whitfield 1924 ~ 2005 Beloved mother Ollie Mae Whitfield 81,
passed away Aug. 22, 2005. Born March 24, 1924 in Indianapolis, Indiana to
Elthel Beach. Ollie enjoyed attending church and shopping. Survived by son,
Robert Lee Dycus; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Preceded
in death by son, Frank Dycus. Directors: Broomhead Funeral Home.

Wood, Jaqueline Jensen        
Jacqueline Jensen Wood 1934 ~ 2005 Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, and
friend, Jacqueline Jensen Wood, passed away at her home Friday, August 26,
2005 surrounded by family and friends. Jacqueline was born May 4, 1934 in
Emery, Utah to Leo and Ada May Jensen. Jacqueline, and her brother, Leo Dior,
were raised in Richfield, Utah, except for summers spent in Fishlake, Utah
where her father worked for the Forest Service. Jacqueline loved her days on
the lake and in the mountains surrounding Fishlake. She graduated from
Richfield High School and attended Snow College. She married J. Ralph Wood in
the Manti Temple December 5, 1952. Jacque's children and grandchildren were
her pride and joy and she found much contentment sharing holidays and
vacations with her family. Her favorite holiday was Christmas, which she
celebrated twice a year. Jacqueline's many interests including the Jaycettes,
where she served as president. She spent more than 20 years in the Utah
Women's Bowling Association, where she served as president, treasurer,
director of junior bowling, state delegate, and the National Women's Bowling
Association, where she was a lifetime member. In recent years, Jacqueline,
became an active member in the Huntsman Cancer Institute support group. She
met and befriended many wonderful people in her fight with cancer. She will be
greatly missed. Jacqueline is survived by her husband, J. Ralph; her children,
Randall James of Denver, Colorado, Heather Lee of Salt Lake City; and her
grandchildren, Julie Ann Schlesinger, Zachary James Wood, and Gregory Brent
Schlesinger. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Jill Crouse Wood;
and Toby Levitt. She is preceded in death by her oldest son, J. Russell.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, September 1, 2005, 2 p.m. at the
Evans and Early Mortuary, 574 East 100 South. Friends are invited to a
celebration of her life at the familys home following the Memorial. Our family
would like to thank many family members, friends and neigh-bors who have
assisted them caring for Jacqueline during her illness. They especially wish
to thank the Huntsman Cancer Hospital staff and the VistaCare hospice staff
for the gentle and loving care they gave to Jacqueline. A special thanks to

Justine Danielle Wysong 3/24/89 ~ 8/26/05 DELTA - Justine Danielle Wysong, age
16, passed away August 26, 2005 in Delta. Born March 24, 1989 in Payson to
Eric Lee and Sheri Lynn Strobel Wysong. Justine lived in Delta all her life.
Member of the Delta High School soccer team, swim team, water polo team, band,
and pep band. Loved her horses and spending time with friends. Survived by
parents; sister, Andrea Wysong, Delta; grandparents, Donald and Lois Wysong,
Englewood, FL, William and Susan Strobel, Twin Falls, Idaho;
great-grandmothers, Dora Ebbert, Reno, NV, Cecilia Hall, Oregon. Preceded in
death by grandfather, Donald Ebbert. Funeral services Tuesday August 30, 2005,
11 a.m., Hinckley LDS chapel. Friends call at the Nickle Mortuary, Monday 7-8
p.m. and at church Tuesday 9:30-10:45 a.m. Interment, Delta Cemetery.
