She was born February 18, 1921 in Cherry Creek, Idaho, the fourth child of Verlorum and Rachel Amelia Williams Moon. She graduated from Malad High School in 1938 and then attended Steven Henager College in Salt Lake City. She was working in Salt Lake when she met her sweetheart, Wayne Moore Beck. Wayne and Evelyn were married June 20, 1942 in the Salt Lake Temple. They were blessed with five children. In 1946 Evelyn and Wayne were called to serve a proselyting mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They sold all of their worldly goods and set sail with two small sons for Brazil. This mission began a lifelong love of and service to the Brazilian people. From 1963-1966 Wayne presided over the Brazilian Mission with Evelyn at his side. Callings took them back to Brazil from 1985-1990. Evelyn's greatest joy was being a wife and a mother. Home was her heaven on earth and her favorite place to be. She lived a life full of service to her family and to her church. She served faithfully not only as a missionary, but also as a den mother, teacher, ward and stake Primary president, multiple times as Relief Society president, assistant matron of the Salt Lake Temple and matron of the Sao Paulo Temple. She served as a temple worker for 29 years completing her service in the Bountiful Temple in November, 2004. Evelyn is survived by her husband, Wayne; children, Gary (Elaine), Glendora, CA; James (Linda), Centerville, Susan Stapley (Michael), Bountiful, David (Robyn), Bountiful, and Curtis (Carol), Centerville; 27 grandchildren, three of whom are serving LDS missions and 12 great-grand-children. She is also survived by four sisters and one brother; Sybella Morris, Helen Buhrley, and Celia Smith (Leland), all of Ogden, Utah, Ralene Nielsen (Charles), South Jordan, and Verlin Moon, Cherry Creek, Idaho. Funeral services will be held Friday at 12 noon in the Bountiful Utah South Stake Center, 1250 South Main, Bountiful. Friends may call Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful and Friday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Stake Center. Burial will be in the Bountiful City Cemetery. Blackham, Charles Ray Charles Ray Blackham 1913 ~ 2005 CASTLE DALE, UTAH- Ray Blackham, 92, passed away on July 17, 2005 at his home surrounded by his wife of 69 years and his family. He was born on March 15, 1913, in Kenilworth, Utah, to Charles Herschel and Hazel Jewkes Blackham. Ray spent most of his life in Orangeville and Castle Dale, Utah. He worked in the CCC Camps as a young man in Washington, Oregon and Utah. While in Manila, Utah, he met his wife Eleanor B. Potter. They were married on January 6, 1936, in Manila, their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple. Ray spent most of his life working as a mechanic, with the last several years as the Emery County School District Bus Supervisor. After his retirement, Ray and Eleanor spent many happy years transporting the Senior Citizens of Emery County to activities. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He and Eleanor served a mission to the Manti Temple. Ray is survived by his beloved Eleanor, three sons Kell (Roma), Tim (Alice) and Lloyd (Suzanne), six grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Also survived by his brother Von Wayman and sister Leah Jacobs. Preceded in death by his parents, stepfather Welzie W. Wayman, five brothers and sisters and one granddaughter. Funeral services will be held at the Castle Dale 2nd Ward, 33 East Main Street in Castle Dale, Utah, at 12:00 noon, Thursday, July 21, 2005, where friends may call from 10-11:45 a.m. prior to the service. Borg, John Raymond John Raymond Borg Loving son and father John Raymond Borg, age 41, died July 18, 2005 after a valiant fight against brain cancer. He was born April 13, 1964 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Myrna May Turner and David H. Borg. He attended Salt Lake County schools. Married Starlyn Holder, later divorced. Married Alice Tanga on April 21, 1990, later divorced. They had a son, Taylor. As a child actor, John enjoyed making several TV commercials and acting in the Young Peoples Theatre at the University of Utah. He worked for 18 years as a baker for Sara Lee Corp. and earned a certificate of completion from the American Institute of Bakery. He enjoyed golf, especially his hole- in-one. John is survived by his son, Taylor Joseph Borg; parents, David and Myrna Borg; sisters, Chris (Terry) Simmons and Mryna Lyn (Doug) Schell; brothers, David W. (Cindy) Borg and Steven T. Borg; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. The family wishes to thank the Community Nursing Hospice Service for their tender care. Browning, Susan Elizabeth Susan Elizabeth Browning 1944 ~ 2005 Susan Elizabeth Browning died of cancer July 14, 2005. She was born in Chicago February 14, 1944 to Dorothy Hughes Browning and Thomas Clifton Browning. Her family moved to Salt Lake City in 1952. She attended Olympus High School where she was co-editor of the newspaper and the University of Utah where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi and participated in many school activities. She graduated in 1965 with a BA in English and aspirations for a career in journalism and then took a somewhat different path. She first worked in the advertising department at Cornell University Press in Ithaca, NY and then for a number of years in the Community Relations Department at the University Hospital, SLC where she wrote the employee newsletter. From 1984 until her retirement in 2000 she was the Church Administrator at the First Unitarian Church, SLC. There she became acquainted with many wonderful people whose love and support during these last years have been very welcome. She enjoyed music, gardening, dogs, and outdoor activities and had a special concern for environmental issues. Survivors include a sister, Ann Browning, SLC; a brother, Tom (Nina) Browning, Madison, WI; and his family of four children and eight grandchildren, Michael Browning, Madison WI; Carolyn (Mark) Ritchie, Alex and Oliver, Brisbane, Australia; Sue (Jim) Claire, Jillian, Jamie and Emily, Charlotte, NC; Lisa (Scot) Constine, Cody, Kali, and Cassie, Phippsburg, CO. He was born June 29, 1942 in Ogden, a son of Gordon Davis and Nellie Chandler Bryant. He was educated in the Ogden City Schools. Lynn married Ruby Arbon in Ogden and they were later divorced. He married Noreena Walker in Salt Lake City and they later divorced. On January 15, 1993, he married Caroline Larsen. While in school he helped his parents operate Gray Cliff Lodge. After graduation he went to work for Mountain Bell and later left to operate a "Mr. Steak" in Salt Lake City. He then returned to the phone company and retired with 35 years of service. Lynn's interests included snowmobiling, four-wheeling, water and snow skiing, motorcycles, holidays at the lake and cruises with his wife. Surviving are his wife, Caroline, of North Ogden; three sons, Doug (Lisa),Murray; Chester (Amy), Sandy; Daniel (fianc‚ Jessica), Rock Springs, WY; two daughters, Jami, Salt Lake City; Vanessa, Green River, WY; and seven grandchildren. Also surviving are one sister and one brother, Sue (Jerry) Egbert, Ogden; Bruce (Jeanne), Salt Lake City. Born April 13, 1951 in Birmingham, England to Derrick Charles and Margaret Olive Makin Craig. Attended Granite High School, and served a mission in Scotland. Married Marjorie Parry in the Salt Lake Temple on April 10, 1973. A member of the LDS Church, and he was active in scouting and loved missionary work. He loved camping in the backyard with the grandchildren. His two priorities in life were his family and his church. Denos, Betty Allen Betty Allen Denos "Grandma" Betty Allen Denos passed away July 16, 2005 in Bountiful, Utah of causes incident to age. Betty was born on November 22, 1923 to Herbert and Estella Allen. She married her life-long sweetheart, John Adrian Denos, on December 8, 1941 in the Logan Temple. He preceded her in death on August 3, 2003. Betty worked as an insurance secretary for her good friend, Clarence Kemp, for over 40 years. After retirement she enjoyed westerns, mystery novels, and walking her grandchildren. She was a member of the LDS Church and was known and loved by ward members. Betty is survived by her daughter, Shirley Mortensen (Garry), and six grandchildren, Michelle Park (Scott), Glenn Mortensen, Matthew Mortensen, Marie Mortensen, Annie Roylance (C.J.), and Heidi Mortensen. Also survived by four great-grandsons, Dawson Mortensen, Scott Park II, Zachary Park, and Radley Park, also survived by sisters, Lillian and Janice, brothers, Ron, Vern, and Edwin. Eckhold, age 90, was born to pioneer parents, Leamon D. and Melissa Farnes Bronson in Sterling, ID. She passed away 7/13/2005 with Joyce, her daughter, by her side. Viola married Merle Hunt in 1932 and later divorced. They had one daughter. Viola worked for Dr. Mercer Anderson where she met her eternal companion, Anthony I. Eckhold. They married in 1948. He died in 1953. Viola was very active in the LDS Church and had many callings. She had good health and cared for herself until May, 2005. She endured well her many challenges with a cheerful heart. She had a great sense of humor, and enjoyed being part of Halloween parties. She loved everyone, especially children. Over the years she cared for most of her entire family, and all have stories of how she saved their lives. She is preceded in death by her husband, and seven siblings. She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Hunt Brown, sister Fern McDermott, three grandchildren, 13 great-grand-children, 12 great-great-grand-children, and many nieces and nephews. Fonnesbeck, Frank Otto Frank Otto Fonnesbeck 1911 ~ 2005 Frank Otto Fonnesbeck was born in Logan, Utah, January 5, 1911, the son of Jens Christian and Anna Christine Andersen Fonnesbeck. He died July 17, 2005 at the age of 94. He attended schools in Logan and graduated with honors from the Brigham Young College Training School. At Logan High School, he played football, received awards in debate and journalism, and was a student body officer. He graduated from Utah State University in 1933, with a B.S. in Forestry. He was editor of the school newspaper "Student Life" for two years, was president of the Forester's Club and was a founder of the Blue Key service fraternity. He was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity. While at Utah State, he met LaRae Kerr Skeen from Salt Lake City. They were married March 22, 1934 and were the parents of five children. Frank was baptized a member of the L.D.S. Church in 1940, and their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. LaRae died September 3, 1980. During his teen years, Frank worked at the Fonnesbeck Knitting Works in Logan, operating the power-driven knitting machines. He worked his way through school fighting summer forest fires in Idaho and Montana. After graduation, he worked as a foreman and engineer on several CCC projects, working under the U.S. Forest Service, the Tennessee Valley Authority, and the National Park Service. At the outbreak of World War II, he and his family moved to Salt Lake City, where he was employed as an Industrial Engineer with Remington Arms Company. Later, he transferred to Hanford, Washington and spent two years as an Industrial Engineer with the DuPont Company on the Manhattan Project, developing plutonium for the Atomic Bomb. He received an award from the Secretary of War in recognition of his service. After the war, he was employed as a Design Engineer with the Utah State Road Commission. He then became a Safety Engineer for USF&G Insurance Company, supervising work in engineering and auditing in Utah, and in parts of Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado, and Nevada. His job included inspecting the rides at Lagoon and he performed inspections of the wooden rollercoaster on foot. At his retirement, he received a plaque for having driven over one-half million miles without an accident. After his retirement, he served as Risk Manager at Hogle Zoo. Frank has a great legacy in Scouting and has been a registered Scout for 82 years. He served in nearly all capacities, from Patrol Leader to District Chairman. He received the Eagle Scout Award while a boy in Logan, and received many honors, including the Silver Beaver, the District Award of Merit, the District Citation, and the On My Honor Award. At the time of his death, he was serving on the Troop Committee in the Parley's 4th Ward. His posterity includes two sons and twenty-one grandsons or great-grandsons who are Eagle Scouts. In the LDS Church, he held many positions in Bishopric, Quorum, Stake, and Sunday School. He was loved and respected as the patriarch of his family. Several years ago, a granddaughter challenged him to write a monthly letter to each family member, touching on various happenings in his life. He met this challenge, and faithfully sent a newsletter to some seventy of his posterity. He was very supportive of his children and grandchildren, encouraging higher education and showing interest in all of their endeavors. He was skilled with tools and was always willing to put an addition on a house or finish a basement, ready or not. He enjoyed gardening, playing tennis, fly fishing, and reading. He was very interested in genealogical research, and made several trips to Denmark searching out ancestral records. In the 1980s, he published the Frank and LaRae Fonnesbeck Family History book that is treasured by all the members of his family. He was an ardent supporter of the annual family reunion in Logan, and strongly encouraged the rest of the family to attend. He is survived by his sister, Elaine Rasmuson; his two sons, Christian Skeen Fonnesbeck (Sydney), and Robert William Fonnesbeck (Kristine); and three daughters, Geryl Lynn Ingram (Robert), Annette Torres (Emerito), and Kathryn Lamb (Wayne); along with 28 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 23, at 11:00 a.m. in the Parley's 4th Ward Chapel, 1870 Parley's Canyon Blvd. Friends may call on Saturday from 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Hepworth, Kenneth Kenneth Hepworth "Grandpa's Gone Fishing" Kenneth slipped quietly away into the waiting arms of his sweetheart Phyllis in the early morning hours of July 18, 2005 at the age of 89 years in the home of his son Dale. He was born on December 1, 1915 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Thomas and Ada Ness Hepworth. He grew up in the Salt Lake area surrounded by his brothers and sisters, and enjoyed his favorite past time "fishing" with his friends on Mill Creek. He graduated from the University of Utah, and was drafted into the armed services where he served honorably during World War II in the Pacific Theater, 136th Field Artillery Battalion. He spent 32 years working as an engineer for the Utah Department of Transportation and retired in 1978 as Deputy Highway Construction Engineer. He married Mildred Clift in 1941 and had one son, Kris Clift Hepworth. They were later divorced. In 1947 he met and married his sweetheart Phyllis Warr. This marriage brought a son, Dale Kenneth, and a stepdaughter, Phyllis Charlene Langdon. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Jordan River Temple. In 1987 Ken and Phyllis moved to Cedar City, Utah to be near their son Dale. Ken lovingly cared for his sweetheart until her death in May 2003. He loved his family, and enjoyed taking them on trips, fishing, or just visiting with them. He will be forever remembered as an honest, kind and gentle man. He leaves a legacy of love, integrity, hard work, and compassion. He is survived by his sons, K.C. (Susie) Hepworth of Utopia, Texas; Dale (Linda) Hepworth of Cedar City, Utah; and a stepdaughter Phyllis Charlene Forsyth of Sacramento, California. He is also survived by sisters Ellen H. Pulley and Esther H. Bowers, 13 grandchildren, 31 great-grand-children, 15 great-great-grand-children, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Marjory H. Jones, Georgene Doutre Georgene Doutre Jones 8/13/1925 ~ 7/13/2005 Georgene Doutre Jones passed away Wednesday July 13, 2005 after a long and courageous fight versus the effects of diabetes. Georgene was born in Logan, Utah on August 13, 1925, and has been a resident of the Bay Area since 1950, when she married her beloved and loving husband of 55 years, Fay Fuhriman Jones, on June 21, 1950 in the L.D.S. Temple in Logan, Utah and immediately moved to Palo Alto. Fay continues to reside in Menlo Park in the home they built together for their family over 41 years ago. Georgene is also greatly missed and ardently loved by her four children and their spouses, Richard Doutre Jones and wife Shelli Green Jones, San Diego, CA: Cynthia Jones Callaghan and her husband John, Seattle, WA; Stanton Doutre Jones and wife Nancy Harris Jones, Park City, UT; and Marshall Doutre Jones and wife Cindy Brown Jones, Coto de Caza, CA. Georgene was also an active participant in the lives of her 14 grandchildren and great-grandson, each of whom she touched and inspired constantly with her great love and positive "can do" example. Georgene was an exceptional singer and artist. Georgene attended Utah State University in Logan on a music scholarship, graduating in 1947. After graduation, she was selected in a talent contest for the state of Utah for an NBC talent audition and a Hollywood screen test, appearing on television and had her own series of sponsored radio programs. Throughout the majority of her life, Georgene was active in teaching voice in Menlo Park and Palo Alto and sang in churches of all denominations and performed at many events, charities and functions all over California, Nevada, and Utah. Georgene was also a soloist numerous times for one of her favorite bodies of musical work; Handel's "Messiah", including the annual production of this musical masterpiece at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. Georgene is also survived by a sister, Edith Doutre Snapp, (Escondido, CA; and a brother David Lamar Doutre, Salt Lake City, Utah; and his wife Greta Doutre. Born July 2, 1935 in Detroit, Michigan to John J. and Ethelyn Mae Allen Knapp. Married Sharon Waggener Knapp, August 19, 1961 in Riverside, California, solemnized in the Oakland Temple on January 11, 1969. He served honorably in the US Air Force. He was a banker for over 40 years. He was a very talented man; he could think it, draw it and build it. With that ability he built ski boats, remote control sail planes and stained glass art projects. Survived by wife, Sharon Knapp; daughter, Trina Marie Knapp; sister, Sandra K. Knapp, Phyllis Elsie Jensen Hamblin Phyllis Elsie Jensen Hamblin Knapp "Nana" A love of live, its beauty and family are what gave Phyllis her zest for life for 101 years. Phyllis was born on May 24, 1904, the fourth of seven children, to Henry O. and Annie E. Peterson Jensen in Manti, Utah. She attended school in Manti, at Utah State and received her Bachelor's degree in education from the University of Utah. She married Elbert G. Hamblin in 1927 in Kanab, Utah. He died in 1949. She married Fred A. Knapp in 1955 in Salt Lake City. He died in 1961. Mother is survived by three children: Gail Jean Hutchison, Holladay, McRae J. (Ren‚) Hamblin, Las Vegas, Richard Kent Hamblin, Las Vegas, 11 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and 20 great-great-grandchildren. Mother loved the Lord and served him well throughout her life. Mother's great love was teaching school. She taught for 40 years and "loved every day of it." It was never a job, but a great honor and privilege. Mother's retired life was filled with brisk walks, blooming flowers, games of bridge, visiting her sons in "Las Vegas", music, her special friends and neighbors, and a love for the Utah Jazz that surpassed any fan. She was an inspiration to all who knew her and will be so dearly missed. Not a day went by that Mother didn't express, "My family is my life!" Loughton, Elsie Mae Elsie Mae Loughton 1921 ~ 2005 Elsie (Elsa) Mae Lichty Loughton passed away peacefully on July 17, 2005 surrounded by her loved ones. Elsa was a lady of great courage, elegance and strength. She was born March 6, 1921 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania to Jacob and Elsie Mae Bruch Lichty. She married Raymond Loughton, from Ogden, Utah in 1941 in Washington, D.C. They were sealed for time and all eternity in 1960 in the Salt Lake City Temple. Together they served three missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, one to La Paz, Bolivia and two to the Visitor's Center at the Washington, D.C. Temple. She was active in her Church and community. She traveled with her husband as a diplomat's wife to Mexico and left her gracious influence with all who met her. She was a great hostess. Elsa is survived by her husband of 64 years, and their six children, Linda (John) Field of Delaware, Sandra (Marshall) Sclarow, Colorado, Paul (Ranette) Loughton, Utah, Jon (LuAnn) Loughton of Utah, Debra (Stanley) Gamero, Utah, Donna (James) Keenan of New Jersey, and many grandchildren and great- grandchildren. She was born in Moroni, Utah on Oct. 2, 1915, the eighth of 10 children of Daniel and Dorothea Olson. She attended the University of Utah where she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority and graduated from Brigham Young University with a major in speech. Afterward, she taught second grade in Moroni for two years before serving as a secretary in Salt Lake and a Flight Hostess for Western Airlines during World War II. On July 20, 1943, she married George J. Madsen M.D. of Mt. Pleasant, Utah and after the war, helped him establish the first ophthalmology practice in Las Vegas, Nevada. During her 59 years in Las Vegas she contributed to civic life, serving as president of the Mesquite Club, Clark County Medical Auxiliary, and Nevada Lariats. She will be remembered as a beautiful woman and charming hostess by her friends and large extended family who frequently visited from California and Utah. McIlrath, George Carter George Carter McIlrath 1936 ~ 2005 George was born in a little rock house in Centerville, UT on Feb. 22, 1936 to William A. and Vesta Hart McIlrath. He graduated from Davis High School and went on to serve his country in the US Army from 1955 - 1957. He married his sweetheart Janice H. McIlrath on April 26, 1957. Together they raised three boys. He is survived by his wife and three sons, David K. (Carrie) of Layton; Kelly D. (Lisa) of Coral Springs, FL; and G. Paul (Debbie) of North Salt Lake; and by his sister Patricia (Dale) Viehweg of Pocatello, ID. He was loved by his 10 grandchildren and was anxiously awaiting his first great- grandson. We guess he couldn't wait. George passed away surrounded by his family, July 18, 2005. George loved spending time with his family, especially in the outdoors. He had many friends but closest among them were his brothers. He loved fishing, hunting and camping. He was an avid gardener and shared his tomatoes and cucumbers with neighbors and friends. He was a volunteer fireman/EMT for South Davis and Bountiful City. He was a member of the LDS church and served in the Salt Lake Temple for 10 years. In later years he served the genealogical effort by performing name extraction from home on his computer. He loved the youth and was like a father to many young people in his ward. Rasmussen 1931 ~ 2005 Barbara Berntson Rasmussen, age 73, passed away from complications due to colon cancer July 18, 2005. She died as she lived, surrounded by loved ones at her home in Sandy, Ut. She was born to Edgar and Luna Berntson August 21, 1931 in Logan, Utah. She attended local schools, graduating from Logan High School in 1949, and attended Utah State University. She married Clair Rulon Rasmussen in the Logan Temple on September 10, 1951. Barbara spent her life in service to her family and her fellowman. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where she served in many positions including Relief Society President, Young Women's President and Visiting Teacher. She touched and blessed many lives. Widowed at the age of 41, she spent the remainder of her life caring for others. After raising her children, she moved back to Logan in order to care for her elderly mother and aunts. Following their deaths, she moved to Salt Lake City to care for her ailing father-in-law. She always enjoyed life and had a wonderful sense of humor, even in the most difficult circumstances. She had a great love for learning and zest for life that made it a pleasure to be in her company. Her generosity with both her time and means knew no bounds. She was a devoted mother, who adored her children and grandchildren and was adored by them. She is survived by her two daughters, Jill (Will) Swigert of Sandy, and Mary (Bryce) Hesterman of Fort Collins, CO; two brothers, Boyd Berntson of Weaverville, CA. She was born July 7, 1909 in Salt Lake City, UT to Lauge and Johanne Kalmar. She attended schools in Salt Lake City, receiving business training at Davis College. She became a legal secretary and worked for her favorite attorney, Golden W. Robbins, whom she later married February 15, 1939. Harriet was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served faithfully throughout her life in many different stake and ward positions. She spent many years as a homemaker and was known as an excellent hostess and cook. She had a special enthusiasm for life and loved traveling the world over. She enjoyed working part time as an interior decorator in addition to being especially active in the community. She cherished the many friendships she made while in various clubs, including the neighborhood garden club, sewing club, bridge clubs, Dinner and Dance club, Bonneville Knife and Fork Club and the Ladies Literary Club, where she served as vice president. She was also president of the Utah Federated Women's Clubs, becoming vice president on the national level. She was a member of the Utah Mineralogical Society and enjoyed creating her own jewelry. Harriet outlived all of her younger siblings: Bill (Mona) Kalmar, Marian (Melvin) Phillips, Laura (Noel) Wilko, and George (Anna Marie) Kalmar. She is survived by daughter Lucynthia Robbins Lines (Tony) Knudsen, Albuquerque, NM, and son W. GEORGE, UT - Distinguished St. George, Utah businessman and LDS Church leader Maeser Welcome Terry, 91, died July 19, 2005 of complications incident to age. He was surrounded by his beloved wife Marilla and his devoted family, those to whom he had given the strength of his life and all of his love. Born September 18, 1913 in Enterprise, Utah to Joseph A. and Nancy Mae Holt Terry, he was educated in Enterprise public schools where he served as student body president of Enterprise High School during the year in which the legendary block "E" was constructed on the hillside west of the community. A gifted musician with a beautiful tenor voice, he was regularly cast in the lead of a series of musicals in high school and later at Dixie College where he studied Education and graduated in 1934. He was a member of the Enterprise String Band, playing the drums, for many years. Following his marriage on June 15, 1934 in the St. George LDS Temple to his childhood sweetheart, the beautiful Marilla Barlocker, they began a farming operation which grew in later years into the turkey-raising and turkey processing business know throughout the Mountain West as Bill's Best. During those years he also created Terry's Mercantile, a grocery and dry goods store in Enterprise. Always committed to civic activities and the betterment of his community, Maeser particularly enjoyed a career-long membership in the service to Rotary International. Unfailingly devoted to his Church and the Gospel of Jesus Christ, he served a mission in the Oakland California Mission with his wife from 1980-82. All seven of his children also served missions for the church. He gave dedicated service as Bishop, a member of the High Council, Stake Patriarch, and for more than twenty-five years as an ordinance worker in the St. George LDS Temple. Maeser's faith meant everything to him and is the central element in the eternal legacy he leaves his posterity. Maeser is survived by his wife, (to whom he sang "Let Me Call You Sweetheart" every night of their married life), and the following children: Reginald (Linda) Terry, and Fenton (Ilona) Terry of Enterprise; Patricia (Jeffrey) Holland of Salt Lake City; Steven (Marie) Terry of Page, Arizona; David (Linda) Terry of St. George; and the late Joseph (LeAnn) Terry of Diamond Valley, Sherene (David) Dillon of Farmington, Utah; and foster son Buzzy Kiro of Gallup, New Mexico; 38 grandchildren, 82 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
