Barlow, Debbie Page Sutterfield
Debbie Page Sutterfield Barlow 1967 ~ 2005 Debbie, our beloved daughter, wife,
proud mother, sister, aunt and friend passed away March 1, 2005. She was born
in Helena, Montana on February 22, 1967 a daughter of Ralph and Marjie Page.
She is survived by her parents; husband Jeff Barlow; sons Tyler and Cory
Sutterfield, and Bryce Barlow; brother Gordon (Machele); sisters Tamie
(George) Speciale, and Wendy (Dan) Cox; nieces Candace, Jacquelyn, and Lauren;
and nephews Spencer and Nicholas. Memorial services will be held Friday March
4, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple. Family and
friends may call one hour prior to service. Interment will follow in the Salt
Lake City Cemetery. Debbie's heart was open to all. She is loved and will be
missed.

Boll, Kathleen E. "Kay"
Kathleen (Kay) E. Boll "Wife & Mother" Kathleen E. Boll died peacefully on
March 2, 2005 of causes incident to age. Born January 12, 1918 in Bingham
Canyon, Utah to Jonathan Jackson and Jane Leech Steele, where she was raised
and attended Bingham High School. She graduated from St. Marks School of
Nursing and worked as a surgical nurse at St. Marks Hospital in Salt Lake and
Alameda General Hospital in Alameda, CA during World War II. Kay married
Harold S. Boll in 1947 and moved to Guatemala where she worked as the mine's
only medical professional for one year. On their return to the United States
they moved to Pioche, NV where she worked for a short period of time as a
surgical nurse for Lincoln County Hospital. They moved to Granger, UT in 1952
where she was an active member, and officer, of the PTA. At this time she was
also an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Later in life she
resumed her medical service as a nurse's aid at Pioneer Valley Hospital. Kay
loved children, cooking for family and friends and playing cards. She will be
missed by everyone that had the opportunity to come in contact with her. She
is survived by her son, David (Sherry); her brother, Robert (Sally) Steele;
nephews, James (Karen) Barkle, Jonathan (Daphne) Steele; and niece, Deborah
(Robert) Kotchian. Preceded in death by her husband, Harold; parents; brother,
Jackson Steele; and sister, Dorothy Barkle. Kathleen's family would like to
take this opportunity to thank the entire staff of Infinia at Alta nursing
home for the care, love and devotion they showed Kay during her long stay.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 5th, at 11 a.m., at Goff
Mortuary, 8090 So. State, where family and friends may call one hour prior to
the service, which will be followed by interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In
lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Shriners
Hospital for Children Intermountain, located at Virginia St. and Fairfax Rd.,
Salt Lake City, UT 84103.

Cushing, Barry E.
Barry E. Cushing 1945 ~ 2005 Our loving husband, father, grandfather, brother,
and friend passed from this life to the next on March 1st, 2005 after a
courageous four-year battle with cancer. He lived life to the fullest with no
regrets. Born July 6, 1945 in Lansing, Michigan to William and Abigail
Cushing. Barry graduated with honors from Grand Ledge High School. He attended
Michigan State University, obtaining his Bachelor's of Arts Degree in
Accounting with high honors in 1966, and his Ph.D. in Accounting in 1969. He
married his lifetime partner, Cherry Lee Barker, on June 25, 1966. Barry
celebrated his life by traveling around the world with his family. He showed
his passion for being a Professor by authoring numerous textbooks and research
articles. Barry received various national and university awards recognizing
the excellence of his research and teaching contributions. Preceded in death
by his parents. Survived by wife Cherry Lee, children Dennis (Kristin), Becky,
Christy, Andy, grandchildren Travis, Kady, and Camden. Also survived by his
brothers Eldon (Maxine) and William (Marion). Our family wishes to express
sincere thanks to both The Huntsman Cancer Institute and VistaCare hospice for
their excellent care of Barry. A Celebration of Life Service will be held
Sat., March 5th at 11 a.m. at his dear friend Professor D. Gerald Searfoss'
home, at 8039 Hunter's Meadow Cir. Friends may call Fri. March 4th from 6-8
p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary at 3401 Highland Dr. In lieu of flowers, please

Dimick, Cindy Lou
Cindy Lou Dimick 1957 ~ 2005 Cindy Lou Powell Dimick, 48 of Pleasant Grove,
returned to the arms of her Heavenly Father on Feb. 28, 2005. She was sent
here by her Father in Heaven on Jan. 13, 1957 to Shirlef and Betty Powell. She
attended and graduated from PG High School. She married Ricky Harvey on March
25, 1976 and they had three beautiful daughters, Cory, Amy and Jennifer. Ricky
passed away in 1986. Then in 2000, she met and married the love of her life,
Kenneth with whom she shared being a grandmother of 10 grandchildren. She
enjoyed being around her family. She loved to travel, draw, paint, sew and do
yard work. She is truly loved and survived by her husband Kenneth, daughters,
Cory Keetch, Amy Howard, Jennifer Jenkins, stepchildren Brandon and Blake
Dimick, 10 grandchildren, Lacy, Ricki, Cassidy, Sadie, Gracie, Elicia, Damion,
Preston, Murphy, Madisen, sister Kathy Casper, and brother Lenny Powell.
Preceded in death by her parents, brother Gary, and Ricky, the father of her
children. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Mar. 5, 2005 at the
Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 E 100 N, American Fork, Utah. Friends may call at
the mortuary from 10 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment in Lehi City
Cemetery.

Dover, Arva Lorraine
Arva Lorraine Dover 2/6/52 ~ 2/25/05 Born in Salt Lake City the daughter of
Raymond M. and Gwen Golden Dover. She was raised as a daughter by Arva G. and
Morris A. Nelson. Graduated from South High School. She had a BS Degree in
English and had three years of nursing education at the U of U. She worked
four years at Holy Cross Hospital, 19 years for Grant Southwick, M.D. as
office and surgical assistant. Arva worked in Real Estate since 1993 as office
Administrator for Wardley BH & G, Mansell & Associates & Prudential Real
Estate as office manager. Arva enjoyed the outdoors including all sports,
gardening, boating and fishing. No one enjoyed life as much as Arva. She was a
gourmet cook, caterer, seamstress and organizer. There was nothing she
couldn't do. In 2003, she met the "love of her life", Doug Carpenter. Survived
by a brother, Darold Dover; aunt and uncle Katherine and Melvin Johnson; a
nephew and a niece as well as many cousins and loving friends. Preceded in
death by her parents. Funeral services will be held Monday, Mar. 7th, 12 noon,
at Larkin Mortuary (260 E. South Temple) where friends and family may call
Sunday, 6-8 p.m., and Monday one hour prior to services. Interment: Salt Lake
City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Make-a-Wish
Foundation, Utah Heart Association, or Utah Aids Foundation.

Hill, Melvin J.
Melvin J. Hill "Poot" 1929 ~ 2005 BOUNTIFUL-Melvin J. Hill (Poot) passed away
peacefully from the complications due to diabetes on Wednesday, March 2, 2005
at the family home where he was born, lived and died. He was born to Alfred
and Alta Gilbert Hill on July 17, 1929. He proudly served in the Utah National
Guard ending with the rank of Captain. He was one of the original members of
the Bountiful Jeep Posse for many years. He deeply loved his country that he
served. During his professional career he worked for the State of Utah in the
Department of Transportation and in the Department of Business Regulations. He
retired from employment with the LDS Church after 26 years of service. His
assignments included setting up and administering the Operations and
Maintenance Program for the Church in the British Isles. After his assignments
in Europe he was responsible for the Church Historical Sites in the United
States and then was assigned to the international areas to assist in the
maintenance of meetinghouses and Church properties. Later he participated in
developing many programs that helped in establishing a more efficient use of
Church resources in the preventative maintenance program. After retirement he
and his eternal companion served a mission at the Hong Kong and Denver
Temples. He had a strong commitment and passion for the work he did and loved
serving the Lord. He and his eternal companion were married almost 55 years. P
Preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister. Survived by his
wife Ruth Follett Hill, children Christine Unwin (Peter), David Clark Hill
(Paula), Melanie Woolsey (Jim), daughter by choice, Mary Miller, 13
grandchildren and seven great-grand children. Also survived by a brother
Donald Hill (Mary) and a sister Nancy Herzig (Jack) and many nieces, nephews,
cousins, family and friends. The family wishes to express their gratitude to
the many caregivers who exhibited care and love during his illness. Mel had a
strong conviction and testimony of The Gospel of Jesus Christ and shared it
with others as he came in contact with them. Funeral services will be held on
Monday, March 7, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bountiful 9th Ward Chapel, 585 E.
Center St., Bountiful. A viewing will be held Sunday, March 6, 2005 at the
Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 N. Main St. from 5-7 p.m. and Monday
at the church from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Interment-Bountiful

Jacobsen, Ruth Hudson Peterson
Ruth Hudson Peterson Jacobsen 1917 ~ 2005 Ruth H. Jacobsen passed away March
1, 2005 in West Valley City. Born October 4, 1917 in Santaquin, UT to William
and Harriet Prudence Coombs Hudson. Married Erval Francis Peterson, he
preceded her in death. Married Virgil N. Jacobsen, he also preceded her in
death. She always put others first and believed in helping where help was
needed. She loved family, music and roses, Survived by, daughter, Joan
(Calvin) Coles; son, Charles Kirk (Connie) Peterson; 13 grandchildren; 17
great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers,
Mary Roberts, Sadie Jarvis, Ruby Cook, Rodney (Lilly) Hudson, Jack (Kathleen)
Hudson. Preceded in death by son, Barret Peterson, daughter, Connie Gay
Peterson Wall Borgeson, brothers, Kendall, Coombs, Charles and one grandson.

Jones, Mary Ella Evans
Mary Ella Evans Jones 1925 ~ 2005 Mary Ella Evans Jones passed away peacefully
on February 28, 2005 after a long illness. Mary Ella was born December 5, 1925
in Centerville, Utah to Horton Haight and Ella Amelia Croft Evans. She spent a
happy, barefoot childhood in Centerville always looking for a neighborhood
ball game, a tennis match or riding her bicycle. She graduated from Davis High
School in 1944, and then attended the University of Utah, graduating in 1948
with a degree in Home Economics. While at the University, she affiliated with
the Chi Omega Sorority, developing many life long friendships. After
graduation, she served an LDS Mission to France and then taught school in
Southern California. Mary Ella married Maurice Dean Jones, September 18, 1957,
in the Salt Lake Temple. She immediately became the mother of three small
children and thereafter four more children were born into her wonderful
family. Mary Ella was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints and fulfilled many callings. Her last calling was as an
extraction worker which she thoroughly enjoyed. She was also a member of the
Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, Ex Libris Literary Club and many quilting
groups. She also worked for many years at the Arents clothing store. Mary Ella
enjoyed all sports, but was most devoted to tennis, U of U athletics and the
Utah Jazz. She was a competitive tennis player, participating in the Desert
News and Huntsman Senior Games on a regular basis. She also treasured her time
with her sister, Mae Ellison, and Mae's family at the Spanish Ranch in
Tuscarora, NV. Mary Ella loved taking her children to the Spanish Ranch where
they learned the value of work during the summer haying seasons. Mary Ella is
survived by her husband, Maurice, brother Bill Evans (Grace), daughters Margo
Brady (Bill), Annette Swenson (Richard), Mary Baumann (Erik) and sons Jeff
(Susan), Grant (Jane), Dan (Pat) and Justin (Heather) along with 25
grandchildren and seven great-grand-children. Funeral services will be held
Friday, March 4, 2005 at 12 noon at the Monument Park Stake Center, 1300 South
and Wasatch Boulevard in Salt Lake City. A viewing will be held on Thursday
evening from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401
Highland Drive and again Friday morning from 10:00 -11:30 a.m. prior to the
funeral services. Interment will be at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. Mom was a
great wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend and will be dearly
missed. Her family expresses sincere thanks to all those who were so
supportive during the last few years, in addition to staff at LDS Hospital,
St. Joseph Villa and CareSource.

Kathleen Boyce Wood Monfrooy Home again Kathleen Kathleen Boyce Wood Monfrooy
passed away Feb. 27, 2005, after a two year struggle with breast cancer. Born
Dec. 18, 1946, Salt Lake City, Utah to Marvin Farey Wood and Dorothy Louise
Boyce. Graduate of South High, University of Utah, Masters in Education from
Utah State. Preceded in death by her father and son, Tom Monfrooy III.
Survived by mother, children, Monique, Anique, Eric; sisters Jean Rasband
(Phil), Suzanne Colby (Gary); brother Clark Wood (Karen), ex-husband/friend
Tom Monfrooy Jr; nieces and nephews. She loved music and had a voice like an
angel. Funeral services will be held Sat. March 5, at 12 noon. Viewing is
Friday from 6 - 8 p.m. and one hour prior to services at Hillside Stake Center
1400 So. 1900 E. Interment at Wasatch Lawn. Funeral services under direction
of SereniCare.

Nelson, Harry J.
Harry J. Nelson 1925-2005 Harry J. Nelson, 79, passed away on March 2, 2005 in
Salt Lake City. He was born September 10, 2005 in Red Oak, Iowa to Carl Harry
and Lila Nelson. He graduated from Wales High School in 1943. After graduating
he served in the U.S. Army during World War II. After the war he returned to
Iowa and graduated from Drake University in 1951. Harry married Janet Kay
Carlon May 5, 1956 in Oskaloosa, Iowa. After graduating from college he worked
most of his career in the meat packing industry. His positions included Vice
President of Missouri Beef Packers, President of Beefland International, and
President of American Beef Packers. After retiring, he moved from Omaha to
Salt Lake City to be near family. Harry is survived by his sons Ronald Nelson
(wife-Colleen Ford), Scott Nelson (wife-Kathryn Simmons), Craig Nelson,
sisters, Barbara Lundgren, Annette Anderson, Karen Requist, and four
grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife, Kay Nelson. Funeral services
will be March 5, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, 2500 E.
3900 S., Salt Lake City. Interment will be held at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park,
3401 Highland Dr., Salt Lake City.

Nielsen, Elizabeth Althera Jones Williams
Elizabeth Althera Jones Williams Nielsen 1908 ~ 2005 PRICE, Utah Elizabeth
Althera Jones Williams Nielsen, affectionately called Lizzie, returned home to
her Heavenly Father, Mar. 2, 2005. She was born Jan. 10, 1908, in Clear Creek,
Utah, to John Johnson and Fanny Rebecca Lucas Jones. She was the oldest child
of eight children. She married Lenard Stephen Williams Oct. 21, 1925, in the
Salt Lake Temple. Their home was blessed with five children, Rea "J" Williams
(Fred Tatton) Wellington, Donna "V" Williams (Bob Williams) both deceased,
Lenard Lamond Williams (Jaselene) Price, Lynwood Stephen, deceased (Phyllis
Bendixsen) Salt Lake City and Terry Lavell (Marianne) Salt Lake City.
Elizabeth was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
throughout her life. She served in different organizations, Sunday School,
MIA, Relief Society and Primary. She was a visiting teacher for 70 years. in
1948 she joined the Amere Club where she met and made many friends. After her
family was raised she worked for the Carbon County School District as a "Hot
Lunch Lady" at the Durrant School. She enjoyed being around little children.
Lenard passed away Mar. 12, 1975, and she married Wilford Lewis Nielsen Jr.
Aug. 4, 1979. Wilford died Aug. 27, 1988. Elizabeth was able to live in her
home that Lenard and she purchased in 1945 for 58 years. When she was 95,
although she hated to leave her home where she had so many fond memories, she
moved to the Heirloom Inn where she continued to live until the time of her
death. She is survived by her three children, 17 grandchildren, 44 great
grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren, sister Wilma McArthy, Orem;
brothers Melvin Jones, Salt Lake City and Ross Jones (Yvonne) Price.
Stepchildren Lewis (Grethe) Nielsen, Centerfield, Lynn (Carol) Nielsen, Sandy,
Dorothy (Jay) O'Driscoll, Canyon Lake, CA; Leah (Glen) James, Helper and Donna
Lue (James) Mullins, Brigham City. Also preceded in death by sister Florence
Wallace and brothers Walter, Willis and Joe Jones. Funeral services will be
held Sat., March 5, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. at the Price 8th Ward LDS Chapel, 995
E. 700 No. A viewing will be Fri. evening from 7-9:00 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary
at 680 E. 100 So., Price, and one hour prior to the service at the church.

Peterson, Lilith
Lilith Peterson 1930 ~ 2005 LEHI- Lilith Baxter Peterson, 74, peacefully
passed away March 1, 2005. She was born April 3, 1930 in Neola, Utah to
Marguerite Crozier and Harold Alva Baxter. Lilith married Duane (Skinner)
Peterson, Dec. 29, 1948 in Ely, Nevada. Later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple.
She is survived by her loving family: husband, Duane; children, Lloyd (Kim)
Peterson, Leslie (Carol) Peterson, Debra (Floyd) Strasburg, and Gregg (Susan)
Peterson; brothers, David and H. Adair; sisters, Vivien, Faith, Kay, and
Earldean; 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by
her parents, brothers, Bruce and Brent. Funeral services will be held Monday,
March 7, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. in the Lehi North Stake Center, 2200 N. 1200 E.
Friends may call Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Wing Mortuary, 118 E. Main,
Lehi and again Monday from 10-11 a.m. at the church. Interment at Orem City
Cemetery.

Richardson, Ellen Pearlese Barrett "Tex"
Ellen Richardson Aka "Tex" 'because she was so tall.' Ellen Pearlese Barrett
Richardson, 92, passed away March 1, 2005. Born July 11, 1912, the oldest twin
of John T. and Louise Dahl Barrett, Ellen grew up on the family farm with her
five brothers and two sisters, learning to milk cows at three. She attended
Woodstock Elementary, was valedictorian of her Junior High, and graduated from
Granite High School, where she was newspaper editor and yearbook staff member.
She completed the two-year secretarial course at Henager's Business College in
eight months, then started work at the Crop and Field Loan Office in Salt
Lake, where she worked from 1932 to 1943. For eight years she played for the
Heinz Drug professional softball team, losing only to one team. She loved
swimming, hiking, and especially dancing. Ellen's brother, Taylor, introduced
her to Harold Richardson, the brother of his wife. She married Harold on June
26, 1939. Establishing their home in Salt Lake, they had six children: Louise,
Miami, FL; Harold (Hal), Jackson, WY; John, Salt Lake; Karen, Casa Grande, AZ;
Jeanne, St. George, UT; and Faye, Zanzibar, Africa. Ellen, an alto, sang 14
years in the Tabernacle Choir, under the direction of her friend, J. Spencer
Cornwall. She attended the McCune School of Music, where she studied
conducting, voice, organ, and piano. She led music in all the auxiliaries of
the LDS Church and also performed for recitals, oratorios, weddings, and
funerals. Ellen served over 40 years in the LDS Young Women's organization and
was an active member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. Later, Ellen went
to work for Safeway in art layouts, advertising, and secretarial work. Then
she transferred to the Utah State Health Department, retiring in 1972. Ellen
and Harold loved their home at 1501 Spring Lane, built in 1882 and now on the
State Historical Register and the National Register of Historic Places. The
home was a showcase of their gardening and landscaping skills. Ellen,
predeceased by Harold, is survived by three brothers, one sister, six
children, 30 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, and two
great-great-grandchildren. Viewing will be Sunday, March 6th, at Jenkins-Soffe
Mortuary, 4760 So. State St. from 6-8 p.m. and Monday one hour prior to
services at the church. Services will be held at Cottonwood Sixteenth Ward,
1750 E. Spring Lane, Monday, March 7, 2005, at 12 noon. Interment Murray City
Cemetery.

Sorensen, Gail Arthur
Gail Arthur Sorensen 1923 ~ 2005 Gail Arthur Sorensen, loving husband, father,
grandfather and friend, age 81, passed away March 2, 2005 in West Jordan, Utah
of Parkinson's Disease. Born April 8, 1923 in Redmond, Utah, to Arthur Lyman
and Alvilda Melvine Christiansen Sorensen. Married Olga Elaine Willden, May 4,
1944 in Seattle, Washington; later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. He
served in the Navy during World War II and retired from the SeaBees. Worked
for 29 years as a carpenter at Hercules. He held many and various positions as
an active member of the LDS Church including service in the Manti and
Washington DC Temples. Survived by his wife, Olga; children: Jane (Jim) Keech,
Gaylene Didericksen, John (Valerie) Sorensen, Charolyn (Chad) Rappleye, Susan
(Eldred) Jensen, Jay (Virginia) Sorensen; 25 grandchildren; 36
great-grand-children; siblings: Jay (Carol) Sorensen, Jean Poulson, Joyce
Shields, Rawland Sorensen, Marlene (Jim) Giles, Nellie (Al) Beazer, Terry
(Aletta) Sorensen; and countless other family and friends. Preceded in death
by parents; sister, Thelma; sons-in-law, Larry Didericksen and Craig Wall;
daughter-in-law, Marial Sorensen. Funeral services will be held Saturday,
12:00 noon at the Mayfield Ward, Mayfield, Utah. A viewing will be held
Thursday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road,
Taylorsville, Utah; also on Friday, at the church in Mayfield, 6:30-8:00 p.m.
and Saturday at the church one hour prior to services. Interment, Mayfield

Thaxton, Edythe Lorraine Cracroft
Edythe Lorraine Cracroft Thaxton 1941 ~ 2005 My eternal sweetheart passed from
this life on February 28, 2005. Life was a great adventure for her. The people
she met along the way were the choicest parts of living in her world. As her
soul mate and who accompanied Lorraine through almost 44 years of wedded
bliss, I watched her suffer the pains of mortality. Yet, because of her
positive nature, even when she was hurting inside, few people ever knew how
ill she was. Yet, I would do it all over again because she loved me and I
loved her and there was never a question about the love she had for me nor for
the many friends she made along her way. Once you were Lorraine's friend, it
was forever. Lorraine was born two days after Pearl Harbor on December 9, 1941
in Salt Lake City, Utah to Edwin Deppe and Edythe May Dazley Cracroft. She had
two brothers, Glen Edwin Cracroft (Joy) of Draper, Utah and Paul Leroy
Cracroft (Loyda) of Bountiful, Utah. She also had two sisters, Donna Margaret
Bethers (Howard) deceased and Mary Kathleen Hardman (Donald) of Parkersburg,
W. Virginia. Lorraine married Theodore James Thaxton Jr. on June 21, 1961 in
the Salt Lake Temple. She had already dealt with several physical ailments,
but tossed them all aside as she bore seven children whom she also spread her
capacity to love across their paths. They are Christopher James Thaxton
(Lynda) of Phoenix; Dr. Robert Edwin Thaxton (Rebecca) of Ocean Springs,
Mississippi; Julianne Kay Elder (Dr. Scott) of Tridell, Utah; Glen Evan
Thaxton (Chele) of Orem; Melissa May Porter (Michael) of Mendon, Utah; Amy
Lorraine Hales (Jason) of Albuquerque; and Susan Diane Stewart (Shawn) of
Vista, California. There were 24 grandchildren to come who also knew that
Grandma loved them unconditionally. Everywhere Lorraine went she endeared
herself to those around her. She kept her friendships alive whether she met
them in Texas, in Cache Valley, in Bountiful, in Salt Lake City, or in Orem,
Utah. She allowed some 15 young people over the years to live in her home
while they attended Brigham Young University. Lorraine graduated from South
High School in Salt Lake City and attended the University of Utah. However,
following her marriage she remained at home to raise her children in the love
of her faith. She has resided more than 25 years in Orem. Lorraine worked for
many years at Brigham Young University, first in the Tanner Bldg Student
Advisement Center, and later in the graduation office in the administration
building. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 5, 2005 at 12 noon, at
the LDS Chapel located at 1120 East 600 North in Orem, Utah. There will be a
viewing on Friday evening at the Sundberg Olpin Mortuary, 495 S. State St,
Orem from 6-8 p.m. and before the funeral from 10-11:45 a.m. at the ward
chapel. Interment will be at the Orem City Cemetery. Condolences may be sent

Whiting, Rondo E.
Rondo E. Whiting 1928 ~ 2005 Our beloved husband, father, and grandfather
passed away February 28, 2005 after eight months of health complications. He
was born April 14, 1928 in Mapleton, Utah. He married his sweetheart Geraldine
(Ririe) in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on August 7, 1953. They shared 51 years of
marriage together. Rondo graduated from BYU in 1953 and was a CPA. He proudly
served his country in the military including a year in Japan. He then served
an LDS mission in the Eastern States. He served faithfully in many Church
callings including Bishop in Plainview, NY. Rondo and Gerri started their
lives together in New York City. They lived in New Jersey, Long Island, NY,
and California before settling in the Salt Lake Valley in 1977. In recent
years, he had a passion for genealogy. He loved to travel and made a point to
visit all 50 states. He is survived by his wife, Gerri, and his children;
Craig (Jennifer), Kelly (Trish), Sharon (Wade) Mitchell, Eric; and 14
grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by youngest
child, Scott Kevin Whiting. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday,
March 5, 2005 at the LDS chapel on 6301 South 2300 East, with a viewing from
9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial
Park. Funeral directors, Holladay Cottonwood Mortuary.

Wilkinson, Virginia Harriet Wilson
Virginia Harriet Wilson Wilkinson 1920 ~ 2005 Our precious mother,
grandmother, great-grandmother, Virginia Harriet Wilson Wilkinson, left us
Tuesday, March 1, 2005 to reunite with her beloved father, mother, and
brother. Born June 10, 1920 in Salt Lake City to George Frank Wilson and
Harriet Retta McIntosh Wilson. Virginia grew up in Salt Lake in the Avenues
where she met and married the love of her life, Finley Fawcett Wilkinson,
March 20, 1941. He died December 27, 1989. While Finley served in the
Philippines during World War II, Virginia lived in California with her
parents. Virginia's only sibling, Frank, was shot down over France while
defending his country in July 1944. She missed him every day of her life. When
Finley returned, they moved to Bountiful where they raised their family of
five children. She also helped her parents raise her brother's son, Terry.
Virginia and Finley owned and operated Wilkinson Buick in Bountiful for 35
years. She worked for Flying "J" Refineries for several years before joining
her daughter, Barbara, and son-in-law, Ken, in their jet charter business,
Barken International, until her retirement in 1999. Virginia was a friend to
many. She was dearly loved by everyone who was lucky enough to get to know
her. She will be greatly missed. Virginia is survived by her five children,
Barbara (Ken) Hepner, Rebecca (Paul) Larsen, F. Frank (Sylvia) Wilkinson, Deb
W. Wilkinson and his close companion Marda Quick, and Cynthia Meeks; her
nephew, Terry D. (Linda) Wilson; her 10 grandchildren; and her 14
great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Frank, and
Finley. Graveside services will be held Saturday, March 5, 2005 at 1:00 p.m.
at Bountiful City Cemetery, 2020 South 200 West. Friends may call Saturday
from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North

Zink, Esther Yvonne Rotz
Esther Yvonne Rotz Zink 1949 ~ 2005 MIDVALE - An amazing wife, mother and a
beloved grandmother, Esther Yvonne Rotz Zink, 55, passed away peacefully at
her home Feb. 28, 2005 surrounded by loved ones. Born June 6, 1949 in Colorado
Springs, Colorado to Alice Smith and Rex Rotz. Married June 7, 1969 to Terry
Dickerson Zink in Nampa, Idaho. She enjoyed music and color, especially the
color yellow. Esther loved life to the fullest and had a never failing faith.
Survived by husband; three children Anna (Troy) Clarke of Las Vegas, NV; David
(Julie) Zink of Nampa, ID and Ryan (Stacey) Zink of Portland, OR; five
grandchildren with one on the way. Father, Rex (Lois) Rotz and three brothers,
Glenn (Mary) Rotz of Lewiston, ID; Dr. Roland (Jodi) Rotz of Ventura, CA and
Doug (Ann) Rotz of Rathdrum, ID. Preceded in death by her mother and a
brother. Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Gateway
Community Church 584 E. 12300 So. Draper. Friends may call Friday evening from
6-8 p.m. at the Broomhead Funeral Home 12600 So. 2200 W. Riverton and Saturday
one hour prior at the church. Interment Midvale City Cemetery.
