Christensen, Paul E.
Paul E. Christensen 1940 ~ 2005 Paul Elwood Christensen, 64, passed away March
28, 2005 in Provo, Utah. Born on December 1, 1940 in Honolulu, Hawaii the son
of Elwood and Arva (Boothe) Christensen. He married Janet Dudley in 1966 in
Cardston Alberta Canada in the LDS Temple. They later divorced. He later
married Eileen Skinner on Sept. 22, 2000. Their marriage was solemnized in the
Timpanogos Temple in Oct. of 2004. He was a member of the LDS Church. He
served a mission in Japan. He was a 1959 graduate of Punahou High in Hawaii.
He had a masters degree in Accounting. Avid BYU sports fan. He has practiced
in the real estate industry in Hawaii, Utah, and Texas since 1967. Survived by
his wife, Eileen, American Fork; sons: Darin Scott (Liz) Christensen,
Portland, Ore; Allan (Danielle) Christensen, Spanish Fork; Thomas Keoki
(Angela) Christensen, Santaquin, Ut; Jeffery Paul (Linsee) Christensen,
Clinton Township, MI; Brett James Christensen, Salem, Ut; and Matthew John
Christensen, Athens, TX; daughters: Sheri (Robert) Critchfield, Seattle, WA;
and Jodi (Kovi) Gallagher, Spanish Fork; stepchildren: Julianne (Alan)
Williams, Valencia, CA Mark (Jeani) Tolboe, American Fork; Valerie (Brian)
Rupp, Issaquah, WA Derek (Kimberly) Tolboe, Saratoga Springs, UT. Keri Lynn

Crawford, Melvin Glen
Melvin Glen Crawford 8/15/1922 ~ 3/29/2005 Melvin Glen Crawford, 82, died
March 29, 2005 in West Jordan, Utah of a lung disorder. Born Aug. 15, 1922 in
Springville, to Melvin G. and Nellie Shepherd Crawford. Grew up in Helper,
later moved to Salt Lake City. Graduated South High. Married Marie Jensen
Crawford, Feb. 23, 1943, later solemnized in Salt Lake LDS Temple. Served in
army reserve as radar specialist in World War II and Korean conflict. Retired
Deseret News Press, 43 yrs, Auto Auction, 15 yrs, until June 2004. Member LDS
Church, previously served in Elder's Quorum, Sunday School Pres., recently in
Ward Library. Loved cars, U of U football, golf, travel and time with family.
Survived by wife, Marie, daughters, Glenna (Terry) McClellan, Kathy (Bob)
Nutter, (Mesa, AZ), brother, Keith (Mary) Crawford, 11 grandchildren, 10
great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by daughter, Connie George, sisters,
Bernice Weight and Martha Scarsi. Funeral Services will be held Saturday,
April 2, 2005 at 12:30 p.m., Westbrook 1st Ward Chapel, 6500 S. Dixie Dr (3655
W.), West Jordan. The family will receive friends at a viewing Friday evening
from 6-8 p.m. at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 W. 4100 S., West Valley City,

Cummins, Juanita V. Rhoades
Juanita V. Rhoades Cummins 1920 ~ 2005 Juanita passed away on February 28,
2005 in Scottsdale, Arizona. She was laid to rest at the Green Acres Cemetery
in Scottsdale, Arizona. She was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho on March 31, 1920
to Albert J. (Dusty) and Ella Labrum Rhoades. Juanita married Garth M. Cummins
in Idaho Falls, Idaho. They lived in Idaho Falls in their early years of
marriage then moved to Salt Lake and raised their three children there and
enjoyed their retirement years in Arizona. She was preceded in death by her
parents, her sisters and brother Velma Emery, Alberta Carlson, and Ray
Rhoades. She is survived by husband Garth, Scottsdale, Arizona, sons Bill
(Norma), Mike (Sherry) Scottsdale, Arizona; daughter Marie (Lee) Guymon, Roy
Utah; sisters Clarice Knudsen, Salt Lake City, Utah; Beth (Bill) Dick, Idaho
Falls, Idaho; eight grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, three
great-great-grandchildren, and several nephews and nieces. We treasure the fun
times we had fishing, camping, hunting, and watching baseball with you. Thanks
Mom for sharing your expertise in sewing, crocheting, tatting, etc, and for
the wonderful hospitality and love you gave to everyone.

Eby, Kayden C.
Kayden C. Eby 2000 ~ 2005 Our handsome little boy returned to the arms of his
Heavenly Father on March 29, 2005. Kayden Christopher Eby was born October 2,
2000 in Bountiful, Utah. He was a special little boy who touched the hearts of
everyone who came in contact with him. Kayden is survived by his father and
mother, Eric and Christina Eby and sister, Kennedy of Roy, grandparents John
and Diane Eby, serving a mission in Chili, Carol Manning of Kaysville, Stan
and Marcy Manning of Bountiful and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. He
was preceded in death by his brothers, Connor and Kimball and now the three of
them walk together in heaven as witnesses of truth. Funeral services will be
held Friday, April 1, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295
North Main, Bountiful, Utah where friends and family may call one hour prior

Fikstad, Howard
Howard Fikstad 1919 ~ 2005 LAYTON - Howard Fikstad, 85, passed away Monday,
March 28, 2005 at his home surrounded by his wife and family. He was born
April 25, 1919 in Rexburg, ID; the son of Gilman Fikstad and Lena Luthy Olsen.
He was raised by his father Gilman and Rangna Fikstad. Howard married Maria
Martha Prahl on February 1, 1939 in Farmington. Their marriage was later
solemnized in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple on June 25, 1965. Surviving are
his wife, two sons and seven daughters; LaRae (Jim) Larsen, Jean (Val) Morgan,
Glennda (Blair) Taylor, Howard Larry (Pat) Fikstad, Geraldine (Frank)
O'Farrell, Cindy (Dan) Holbrook, Jill (Steve) Lamb, Glenn David (Janae)
Fikstad, Sherrie (Sean) Tutorow, 45 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren,
four great-great-grandchildren, and brother, Lorin Fikstad. Preceded in death
by his father, mother, step-mother, two granddaughters, one grandson, and
daughter-in-law. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 2, 2005 at 11 a.m.
at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends and family

Green, Rita
Rita Green 1925 ~ 2005 CENTERVILLE- Rita Ann Wilson Green, passed away
Wednesday, March 30, 2005 of natural causes. Rita was born Nov. 8th, 1925. in
Omaha, Nebraska a daughter of Cloid J. and Myrtle Emma Roos Wilson. She was
adopted by her step-father Frank Howard Gibson. Rita was reared and educated
in Omaha and later attended Brigham Young University. She married Stanley
Green, September 11, 1947 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. As an active member of
the LDS Church, Rita served in many capacities including auxiliary positions.
She loved needle work and enjoyed entertaining. Rita had a deep love for her
family. She loved to travel, especially to see family. She is survived by her
spouse Stanley, son, David H. Green of Sandy, two daughters, Gayle Green of
Magna and Anita Clare Vickers (Billy Jack) of Centerville; six grandchildren
and three great-grand children. Preceded in death by her parents, one brother
and two sisters. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 2,
2005 at the Centerville 6th Ward Chapel 400 E. 900 S. Centerville, Utah.
Friends may call Friday, April 1, from 6-8 p.m. at the Lindquist's Bountiful
Mortuary 727 N. 400 E. and Saturday at the church one hour prior to services.

Hansen, E. Lois
E. Lois Hansen 1916 ~ 2005 Beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother,
passed away March 26, 2005 of natural causes. Lois was born October 23, 1916
in Taylorsville, Utah to Walter Scott Mackay and Ella May Winder Mackay. She
graduated from Granite High School. Lois married Royal John Hansen in the Salt
Lake temple on August 8, 1939. She worked for many years at the LDS Church
Offices and was actively involved in volunteer work as a former President of
the LDS Hospital Volunteers and the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She served as
chairperson of the Day's of 47 Queen Committee. She is survived by her three
sons, Stan (Lorraine) Colorado Springs; Frank (Elaine) and Ralph (Nancy) both
of Salt Lake; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in
death by her husband, granddaughter, Cori Dawn, and her three brothers and
four sisters. A viewing will be held at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 Highland
Drive, on Thursday, March 31 from 6:00-8:00. Funeral services will be held at
Wasatch Lawn Mortuary chapel at 12:00 noon on Friday, April 1, 2005. Friends
may call from 10:45-11:45. Interment will follow at Wasatch Lawn Memorial
Park.

Jackson, Sylvia
Sylvia Jackson 07/1939 ~ 03/2005 Sylvia Jean Jackson, beloved mother,
grandmother and friend, passed away March 29, 2005 of natural causes. She
returned to our Heavenly Father. Sylvia was an Angel on earth, and a minister
of blessings to all human beings within her sphere of action. She is survived
by her beloved children, Vanessa, Octavia, Michael, Daryell; beloved
grandchildren, Tena, Jennifer, Paige, Kim, Curtis, Adriana; beloved brothers,
Gary, Michael and Craig, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She was preceded by her parents, Gladys and Robert, brother, Bobby; and her
best friend, Georgia. Donations lovingly accepted in her name at Trinity AME
Church Funeral services will be Friday, April 1, 2005 at 1 p.m. with a viewing
one hour prior. at Trinity AME Church, 239 East 600 South, Salt Lake City.

Kelsey, R. Brent
R. Brent Kelsey 1941 ~ 2005 Ruel Brent Kelsey, died peacefully at home, March
29, 2005 in Centerville, Utah. Brent was born September 9, 1941 to Ruel
Woolley Kelsey and Kathryn Mary Jorgensen in Salt Lake City. Brent graduated
from East High School in 1959 and attended the University of Utah. In the
early 60's he worked for Hercules on the Polaris missile. For over 20 years he
worked in the trucking industry, and later as a self employed property
manager. Loving husband of Sally Saecker Livingston, and devoted father of
Brent D. Kelsey and Todd L. Kelsey, by former wife, Marilyn Kesler. Brent's
happiest times were when he and Sally were either at their cabin, fishing,
traveling, barbecuing, gardening, or on the golf course. He loved telling a
good story. Brent also held an especially close bond with his grandkids, who
called him "silly grandpa." A quintessential handyman, who loved to tinker and
fix things, Brent was always willing to lend a hand to others. His strength,
determination, quick wit and special twinkle in his eyes will always be a
comfort to his family. He is survived by wife, Sally; mother, Kathryn; sons,
Brent (Jennifer) and Todd (Lauren); grandchildren, Samantha and Cameron. Also
survived by siblings: Stephen (Justine) Kelsey, Renee (Alan) Fernelius,
Patricia (Jan) Brady, Scott (Connie) Kelsey, Colleen (Doug) Carroll, and Kevin
(Martha) Kelsey, and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his father.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 5, 2005 at the
Bountiful Community Church, 100 N. 400 E. Bountiful, Utah, under directions of
Lindquist's Bountiful Mortuary. Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Christopher Dechet,

Malquist, Theodore Perry
Theodore Perry Malquist 1916 ~ 2005 Loving husband and father, passed away
March 30, 2005 in Provo, Utah. Born May 8, 1916 in Salt Lake City to Edward
Theodore and Martha Perry Malquist. Ted lived most of his life in Lakewood,
California before retiring to Provo. Ted is survived by his wife, Helen
Maughan Malquist, three sons and their families, Paul, Blaine and Malyn.
Preceded in death by his first wife, Alice Clark Malquist. Funeral services
will be held at 2 p.m. Fri., April 1, 2005 in the Provo Grandview 15th Ward,
(1122 Grand Ave, one block south of the family residence). Viewing from 12
noon to 1:45 p.m. prior to the services. Interment in the Alpine City
Cemetery.

Martin, Jeanne Allen
Jeanne Allen Martin (Jam) "Together again, forever" MAGNA - On March 26, 2005
Jeanne left her family on earth to be with her loving husband and soul mate.
Born in Nampa, Idaho on June 17, 1921 to James Sydney and Elenora Benson
Allen. She married the love of her life, William B. Martin on July 3, 1943;
their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Jeanne
graduated from Idaho Falls High where she was the Student Body President and
then attended Utah State University where she met Bill. She was an active
member of the LDS church and held many callings. She was a Relief Society
President, MIA President, PTA President, board member of the Utah Transit
Authority, and a member of the Magna Seniors Silver Bells singing group. She
served in the Ireland, Dublin mission with her husband as mission president
from 1989-1992, a calling she truly loved. Survived by her children, Cheri
(Frank) Bezzant, K.C. (Dick) Eldredge, and Jay (Paula) Martin; six
grandchildren; 15 1/2 great-grandchildren; brother, Ben Allen; and sister,
Eleanore Engebretsen. Preceded in death by her eternal companion, Bill;
parents; brother, James Sydney Allen Jr.; and sister-in-law, Rosemary Allen.
Jeanne loved the Lord with all her heart. She was known for her sense of humor
and love of life which will be truly missed. If you were fortunate enough to
have the chance to cross paths with Jeanne you were never the same. A special
thanks goes out to Dr. Charles Canfield, Nancy, Jolene, and Sami of LifePath
Hospice. Funeral services will be held 12 p.m. Saturday, April 2, 2005 at the

Mayer, Jerry
Jerry Mayer 1937 ~ 2005 MILFORD - Jerry Mayer, 67, passed away on March 28,
2005 at the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center after living courageously with
Acute Myelogenous Leukemia for two and a half years. Jerry was born on April
16, 1937 in Harvey, North Dakota to George and Lillian Jesse Mayer. He married
Janice Terry on September 17, 1966 and is the father of Joel Scott (Rebecca)
Mayer, Sierra Vista, AZ; Jill (Jeff) Stauffer, Monmouth, OR; and Jerilyn
Harris, Plano, TX. He is known as Partner, Grandpa and Papa by his six
grandchildren, Devon Mayer, Rachelle, Tina and Natalie Stauffer, and Ethan and
Logan Harris. He is the brother of Don (Judy) Mayer, Sandy; George Mayer of
Milford; Karen (Gary) Leigh, Cedar City; Marilyn Ransom, Woods Cross; Tom
(Kim) Mayer, Rancho Santa Margarita, CA and Doug (Lisa) Mayer, Boise, ID. He
is the step-brother of Jim (Joyce) Cook, Clarkdale, AZ; and Loni (Dale)
Shadle, Snowflake, AZ. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and
step-father H.C. Cook. Jerry loved his community and the Milford Valley. He
was a living example of service and hard work, giving his time and talents to
the Milford Valley Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees, Twin M Soil
Conservation, Milford Fire Service District, Milford Valley Pumpers
Association and Utah Farm Bureau. Jerry made friends with everyone he met and
greeted each day with a smile and a song. Jerry delighted in his green alfalfa
fields and the smell of fresh cut hay. Just walking in his fields brought him
closer to his Savior. A life long member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church,
he had a strong commitment to God, and embodied the commandment "Love one
another, as I have loved you." Jerry's favorite things were laughing with
family and friends, visiting at the coffee shop, driving truck reading the
classifieds, and collecting hats. Beside his farm, his favorite place was
Disneyland, where he loved skipping down Main Street USA with his children and
grandchildren. Jerry considered his greatest achievement to be his family, his
beloved wife, children and grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on
Saturday, April 2, 2005 at 11a.m. in the Milford LDS Stake Center. Viewing
will be held Friday evening, April 1st from 6-8 p.m. at the Southern Utah
Mortuary in Milford and Saturday, prior to the funeral services from
9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Stake Center. Interment immediately following the
funeral service at the Milford Cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah

Monson, Aaron Richard
In Loving Memory Aaron Richard Monson 3/31/70 ~ 5/14/70 Jeremy Robert (J.R.)
Monson 5/24/71 ~ 6/30/00 Today would have been Aaron's 35th birthday. Two of
our boys were called back "Home", leaving a lingering void in our hearts. Life
is tenuous and we cherished them while they were with us. We will always love

Morrell, William John (Bill)
William John (Bill) Morrell 1/4/1917 ~ 3/29/2005 I was born January 4, 1917 in
Ophir, Utah to the best Italian parents any child could ever have. My father's
name was Giovanni Sabatino Morelli and my mother's name was Concettina
Vernucci Morelli. My uncle Guido Vernucci came to Utah when I was born and
named me William John Morrell, which in Italian translates to Guglielmo
Giovanni Morelli. The Italian name, Guglielmo led to my nickname "Yamo" I
liked that name, and it stayed with me long after I left high school and into
my baseball and softball years. From 1934 - 1938 I played baseball for the
town of Ophir. In 1939, I coached all of my sisters on the Ophir girls
softball team. In May of 1940, I tried out for the Philadelphia Phillies
baseball team at the position of center field; however, I did not make the
team. On December 26, 1941, I enlisted in the Army and was honorably
discharged in 1946. In 1940 I met my future wife, Nella Maroon. Nella and I
were married on July 7, 1942 at a Texaco gas station in Kemmerer, WY. We were
married for over 50 years. I was employed at 16 in the mines during the
Depression, Hygeia Ice Company, Kennecott Copper in the Refinery and with the
United Steelworkers of America as a Staff Organizer. I always fought for the
rights of the working man and woman so that they would have a bright future
for themselves and their families. I served on the Board of Directors of the
Salt Lake chapter of the American Red Cross, The American Association of
Retired Person, National Council of Senior Citizens, served as a coordinator
of Steelworkers Organization of Active Retirees Chapters 38-2 and 38-4 and the
Political Action Committee of the United Steelworkers of America. I was a
member of St. Ann's Men's Club and ran the bingo committee for 19 years at St.
Ann's, was a member of St. Ann's Pastoral Council for nine years along with
being an usher for 37 years. I was a Union President at Kennecott Copper and a
member of Who's Who in the West. I was extremely proud of my Italian heritage
and always looked forward to making fruitcakes and Italian cookies with my
daughter at Christmas. I am a devout Catholic and was active in St. Ann's
Catholic Church in Salt Lake City, and Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in
Sandy. I am survived by my son, John William Morrell (Judi), and my daughter
Cherie Ann Royce; my grandchildren, Stacee Taylor, Christine (Jeff) Long,
Curtis John Morrell, Jordan Morrell, Allie Royce, Brandon and Nicholaz Black;
great-grandchildren, Jayla and Hailee Johanson, Chalice Taylor, Wendell Long,
Pierce and Vincent Black. I am also survived by my sister-in-law and
brother-in-law, Olga and Gary Boyd, my sisters Nellie (Dean) Zentner and Rose
Langston, sister-in-law Nanrae Marcon, along with many nieces and nephews, and
many godchildren and my special friend, Joan Byrd and my two wonderful and
special cats, DC and Frosty. I was preceded in death by my parents, my
brother, Emidio, my beloved wife Nella, and infant son, my sister Anne
Moriarity, my aunt Fortunata Vernucci Jackson, my birthday buddy and nephew,
Stephen Jeffrey Boyd, my niece Patricia Anne Moriarity and my dear friend, Rt.
Rev. Monsignor John J. Sullivan. My family wishes to thank Dr. Shawn Brooks,
the ICU staff and Acute Care Staff at Alta View Hospital, Caresource Hospice,
especially Yolanda, Harold and Zack for all their support and care during this
difficult time. We would like to thank all of our family, friends, the staff,
faculty, and students of Judge Memorial Catholic High School for their love,
prayers and support and especially "Cherie's Cheerleaders," Rev. Monsignor
Robert Servatius, Rev. John E. Norman, Rev. Colin Burcumshaw, Cliff Eccles,

Nisson, Janice Porter
Janice Porter Nisson "Aunt Janice" My sister Janice Porter Nisson left this
world on March 23, 2005, whining and complaining about the cancer that finally
took her. She loved life, living and laughing so much! She was born in Salt
Lake City, Utah, on the 27th of December, 1956, the last child of Elbert H.
and Frances B. Porter. She was raised in Salt Lake City and Orderville, Utah,
graduating from her dad's alma mater, Valley High School in Orderville. She
was involved in sports, debate and Girls' State. In March 1976 she met her
absolute soulmate, Elven H. Nisson and they were married 28 years ago on June
26, 1976 in the Salt Lake City Temple. They have a wonderful partnership and
marriage. She worked for First Interstate Bank-but especially loved being an
at-home homemaker for many years at their home in Bountiful, Utah. She loved
her precious cats: Misha, Sasha and Pasha. She received a degree in Computer
Information Systems from Salt Lake Community College. In 1998 she and Elven
decided to take advantage of the sun and moved to Mesa, Arizona, where
swimming in their pool was one of her favorite activities. She also liked
computers, gardening, counted cross-stitch, reading trashy novels (and some
classics too) and making people laugh. Janice has many friends and lots of
family who love her dearly and enjoyed her so very much. She is survived by
Elven and Sasha, me--her saddened sister, Suzanne (Marcus) Cooley and three
good brothers: Sherril (Lois), Dwight (Trena) and Bryant (Dee)--and 18 nieces
and nephews who were each so special and important to her and who will miss
fun and lovable "Aunt Janice" alot. We will always enjoy dwelling on our very
fond memories of her and will all join her someday. She was preceded in death
by her dear parents and her in-laws-and Pasha and Misha. We will have a
get-together to celebrate her life on Saturday, April 2 at Noon at the Kearns
South Stake Center, 5905 S. 4000 W. in Kearns. If you would like to, you may

Parsons, James Gilbert
James Gilbert Parsons "Jim" James Gilbert Parsons, age 62, passed away on
March 28, 2005 in Salt Lake City, UT after a short battle with cancer. He was
born October 30, 1942 in Fort Orchard, Kitsapp, Washington to Frank William
Parsons and Pearl Ora Smith Parsons. Jim loved the outdoors! Boating and
camping in his motorhome with the love of his life, Linda Lee Barnhurst
Parsons, were some of his favorite pastimes. Jim was an excellent mechanic and
covered many miles across the US during his 47 years as a truck driver. Jim
was also an Army Veteran who served in the Korean War and also the Vietnam
War. He is survived by his wife, Linda; son, Kenny Parsons (Bluffdale);
daughter, Diane Parsons (Moab); step-children, Devon Bangerter, Terry
Bangerter, Veena (Dave) Waddoups, Troy Bangerter, Dana (Ruth) Bangerter; six
grandchildren; and many friends who will also miss him. Jim was preceded in
death by his parents; twin brother, Frank; brother, Edwin Neil; and sister,
Louise. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 1, 2005 at 12 p.m. at
the Crescent 7th Ward, 949 E. 10600 S. Family and friends may call Friday from
11-11:45 at the church and also Thursday evening at Lake Hills Mortuary, 10055
S. State Street, from 6-8 p.m. Interment to follow the service at the Utah
Veterans Park (Camp Williams), Bluffdale, UT.

Shepherd, Marva H.
Marva H. Shepherd 1925 ~ 2005 LEVAN - Marva Hatch Shepherd, age 79, passed
away March 29, 2005 in Levan, Utah. She was born May 13, 1925 in Scipio, Utah
to Marvin Muir and Freda Henrietta Olsen Hatch. She married Calvin Kent
Shepherd June 16, 1945 in Scipio, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in
the Manti Temple. They have been married for 60 years. Marva enjoyed
crocheting, quilting, gardening and cooking. She was active in the LDS church
and thoroughly loved being a visiting teacher. She gave countless hours of
services to others. Her greatest treasures were her husband, children,
grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, C. Kent
Shepherd of Levan; children, Shauna (Paul) Harmon of Nephi; Janet (David)
Carter of Levan; David (Linda) Shepherd of Levan; Louise (Bart) Stephenson of
Alcova, Wyoming; 21 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; sisters, Miriam
Tuttle, Gladys Stone, Esther Memmott and Beth Warner. Preceded in death by her
parents; sisters, Ethel Robins and Donna Nielson; brother, Lloyd Hatch.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2005 in the Levan
LDS Chapel. Friends may call Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Anderson
Funeral Home, 94 West 300 North, Nephi, UT and at the church one hour prior to
the services. Interment will be in the Levan Cemetery.

Stacey, LaNae
LaNae Stacey 1941 ~ 2005 LaNae Stacey, born Dec. 12, 1941, died on Easter,
March 27th in Las Vegas, NV where she made her home. LaNae loved to laugh,
loved games and loved her family very much. Her sense of humor and adventure
made everyone who knew her want to be with her. LaNae left family and friends
that loved her very much. She is survived by husband, Bill Smith; daughters,
Cheryle (Randy) Chatfield; Joelene ParDee; mother Dorothea Hardy; brother Rick
(Phyllis) Olsen; sisters Jeanne (Keith) Lund; Sharon Harvey; Janis Mendez;
Lori (Jeff) Sparks; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and many
loving nieces and nephews. We will treasure the fun times and miss her very
much. Private family services will be held at a later date.

Stringer, June E.
June E. Stringer "We'll remember her laughter" 1928 ~ 2005 June E. Stringer
passed away March 28, 2005, in West Jordan, Utah. June was born in
Philadelphia, PA on March 20, 1928 and married Benjamin M. Stringer on August
7, 1948. She lived in Philadelphia for most of her life, working as a
secretary. She is survived by her husband Benjamin Stringer, of West Jordan,
her daughter Karen Andrews and son-in law George Andrews of South Jordan,
along with four grandchildren, Christopher Andrews and his wife Kimberlee, of
West Jordan, Adam Andrews and Lindsey Andrews of South Jordan, and Lauren
Andrews of San Jose, California. She is also survived by two
great-grandchildren, Isaac and Sydney Andrews, also of West Jordan. Memorial
Services will be held on Friday, April 1, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Stephen's
Episcopal Church, 4615 South 3200 West, West Valley City, Utah. Memorial
services are under the direction of Rev. W. Lee Shaw.

Timmons, Mildred Grush
Mildred Grush Timmons 1909 ~ 2005 Mildred Grush Timmons died peacefully at her
home on March 24, 2005 at the age of 96. Mildred was still very active
enjoying gardening, friends and other hobbies, as well as taking care of her
beloved dog, Tasha. Mildred had just attended her 96th birthday party on the
Monday before her death. Mildred was born on March 21, 1909 in Mt. Morris,
Illinois to Maude Carrie Bain and Otis Grush. She attended Northern Illinois
University where she received a teaching certificate and taught 7th and 8th
grade English. Later she graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from Eastern
Illinois State Teachers College in 1934. A teacher her entire career, Mildred
taught school in Illinois, California, Colorado, Salt Lake City and American
schools in Venezuela, Panama and Colombia. Mildred met her husband Rowland
(Dick) Dudley Timmons, a Petroleum Engineer, in 1947 while she was teaching in
South America. They were married on July 19, 1948 in her hometown of Mt.
Morris, Illinois. They moved to Salt Lake City in 1953 where she taught at
West High and Hillside Jr. High schools. After her retirement, Mildred served
11 years as a volunteer in the gift shop of Holy Cross Hospital and at age 88
assisted in the Utah State Library's Multi-State Program for the Blind and
Physically Handicapped in Salt Lake City. Preceded in death by her husband.
Interment at Larkin Sunset Lawn Cemetery.

VanNostrand, Lauretta "Ret"
Lauretta "Ret" VanNostrand 1919 ~ 2005 Lauretta Isabelle VanNostrand "Ret"
went to join her "Bud" on March 27, 2005 after missing him desperately for 10
years. Ret was born to Ben and Laura Reiter on May 18, 1919, the second of 11
children. On October 3, 1942 Ret married Marvin "Bud" VanNostrand. She fought
the devastating disease of Alzheimer's for the last seven years. She is
survived by her son David; daughter Patty (Terry) Kanies; two sisters; two
brothers; nine grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; one great-great
granddaughter. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Marvin "Bud",
son Robert, four brothers; two sisters. Graveside services for Ret will be
held on Friday April 1, 2005 at 11 a.m. at the Mount Calvary Cemetery 275
North "T" Street. Friends may call on Friday morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at
the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, Salt Lake City. Interment: Mount
Calvary Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at
www.holbrookmortuary.com. The family would like to thank the staff at the
Willow Wood Care Center for their loving and tender care during the last

Wightman, Destiny Ann
Destiny Ann Wightman 1990 ~ 2005 Our Destiny has made her way to paradise. She
will be affectionately remembered by family and friends as a sensitive and
loving soul who touched everyone she met. A viewing will be held on Friday
April 1, 2005 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The funeral services will be held April 2,
2005 at 11 a.m. with a viewing starting at 10 a.m. Both will be held at Goff
Mortuary in Midvale. Graveside Service will be held at Farmington Cemetery one
hour after conclusion of funeral service. Destiny was born on February 1, 1990
in Salt Lake City and lost her life as the result of a tragic automobile
accident on March 27, 2005 at the age of 15. She was a dedicated student at
Mount Jordan Middle School in Sandy where she received honors for her
scholastic achievements and made numerous friends. She is survived by her
loving mother, Hilary; father, Danny; sisters, brothers; grandparents, "Gamma"
and "GG's" and "Auntie". Preceded in death by Grandpa Dee and Uncle Zachary. A
trust fund has been set up in memory of Destiny Wightman and donations may be

Wilbur, Madge Richards
Madge Richards Wilbur 1923 ~ 2005 Madge Richards Wilbur passed away March 29,
2005 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born on May 3, 1923 in Wenatchee, WA. to
Henry Bud and Ella Pugmire Richards. Madge was raised in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Married Ross Richard Wilbur (Dick) in Salt Lake City on April 11, 1951. She
worked for American Oil and University of Utah Credit Union. She loved to
travel and bowl. Survived by her husband Dick of Salt Lake City, sister Erma
McDonald of Wickenberg, Arizona and nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will
be held at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 Highland Drive, on Friday, April 1,
2005 at 10:00 a.m. The family will receive friends from 9:00-10:00 a.m. on
Friday. Interment to follow at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.

Woods, Adam James
Adam James Woods 06/ 1981 ~ 03/ 2005 Our loving son, brother, grandson,
nephew, cousin, and friend, returned to our heavenly father early on Monday
morning, March 28, 2005. Adam was born June 26, 1981 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
He graduated from Brighton High School in 1999. During his short time on
Earth, he loved snowboarding, water sports, nice clothes, and cool cars. He
spent his last day with us enjoying Easter brunch, followed by a motorcycle
ride with his Aunt Leslie. Recently promoted to used car manager at Salt Lake
Valley GMC and West Valley Suzuki, Adam was looking forward to a promising
career in the car business. He is survived by his loving mother, Elizabeth
(Terry) Smith; father, David (Ronda) Woods; brothers, Dave, Jr., and Michael;
stepbrother, Nickalaus; grandparents, Ken and Nish Woods and grandpa James
Ivory; best friend, Dallas Tolley, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and
friends. He was preceded in death by his grandma Joan "Ginger" Ivory and Aunt
Sue Woods Maxwell. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Kamran,
Keyvan, and Mehdi for taking care of Adam like a son. Funeral services will be
held Friday at 12:00 noon at Neil O'Donnell and Sons Mortuary, 372 East 100
South, where friends may call Thursday from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. and on Friday one

Wright, Trudy Ann Millis
Trudy Ann Millis Wright 1945 ~ 2005 WEST BOUNTIFUL - Our beautiful sweetheart,
mother, and grandmother, Trudy Ann Millis Wright, age 59, passed away
peacefully, Monday, March 28th, 2005 at home in West Bountiful, Utah. Trudy
was born May 15th, 1945 in Syracuse, New York at the Crowe-Irving Memorial
Hospital, the daughter of Charles and Lucille Millis. Her years growing up
were spent enjoying all the experiences in life, which made her the strong,
loving, giving person she was. She traveled all the way from New York to Utah
in 1973 to be among the chosen Saints of this valley, and to find the love of
her life. She found her Eternal Sweetheart, Robert, and they were married in
the Salt Lake Temple on February 27th, 1976. Trudy was an active member of the
LDS Church and held many positions throughout her life, including positions in
Relief Society, Primary, Young Women, Gospel Doctrine, Scouting, Bountiful
Temple, and many others. She and her adoring husband spent the last few years
of her life serving in positions in Family History and Genealogy. She loved
working with the youth, researching her Genealogy, and doing the beloved work
in the temple. Trudy devoted much of her life to caring for the sick. She was
a Registered Nurse for over 40 years and worked in many hospitals and
healthcare facilities. She cared for her patients so much, even risked her own
health to save a patient from injury. She is survived by her adoring husband,
Robert Bradford Wright, her children, Don (Tammy), Jenifer (Eric), Sara, Lane,
Ben (his fianc  Kaylynn), Rachel; her two honorary sons, Aidan and Mike, and
her precious grandchildren, Cameron, Brayden, Jesse, Courtney, Brooke, Lauren,
Alexa and Sam. She is survived by her brothers, David and Richard, and by her
stepsister Pam and stepbrother Brian. She was preceded in death by her son,
Joshua. Trudy is forever a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She is "A
Mother in Zion". Funeral services will be held Friday, April 1st, 2005 at
12:00, Noon at the West Bountiful 7th Ward, at 311 North 800 West, West
Bountiful, Utah. Family and friends may also attend the viewing at the Russon
Brothers Mortuary at 295 North Main, Bountiful, Thursday, March 31st, 2005
from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Special thanks to Rocky Mountain Hospice, who helped make
her last few weeks with her family a comfortable and peaceful transition to
the next life. Thank you, mom and grandma for making us the people we are
today. Your strength, love and giving heart will remain with us forever.
