Morris G. Anderson 1950 ~ 2005 Morris Garn Anderson, 55, of Magna, Utah passed away Sunday, November 13, 2005 due to cancer. Morris was born July 9, 1950 in Delta, Utah to Aaron Garn and Joy H. Anderson. In 1952 he moved to Mag-na and graduated from Cyprus High School in 1969. Morris ser-ved his country in the U.S. Marine Corp for six years. He became the proud and loving father of Shilo in June 1980. He was blessed with two beautiful grandsons, Alex in December 1996, and Isaac in January 2005. Morris is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was an eagle scout, avid and certified scuba diver, and enjoyed water skiing, snowmobiling, hunting, and traveling. In 1977 Morris and his best friend, Mike Modderman became business partners in which they established their concrete company, M&M-it, Inc. Morris had many close and loving friends. Survived by daughter, Shilo; grandsons, Alex and Isaac; mother, Joy; brothers, Phil (Hazel), Ron (Donna), Kim (Jaquie); sister-in-law, Jody; sisters, Joy (Don) and Nyla (Scott); and numerous nieces and nephews. Coulam, Mildred Toma Mildred Toma Coulam 1919 ~ 2005 Mildred Toma Coulam passed away in the early hours of November 12, 2005. She was born October 12, 1919 in Honomu, Hawaii, the third of seven children. She would reminisce about her childhood in Hawaii skinny-dipping in the waterfalls, touring the island with a singing group, and playing in the sugar cane fields. At age 14 she moved to Beverly Hills, California, there she graduated from high school and eventually attended UCLA. In Los Angeles she met Wallace Toma, whom she married. During the war they were relocated to Salt Lake City. They opened Wally's Flowers together and started their family. Later divorced, she was determined to raise her children and be a success, she opened Mildred's Flowers. She never measured her success in numbers but in the happiness of others, and to her credit she had many loyal and loving customers and friends. Her quick smile, heartfelt and energetic nature filled all aspects of her life, apparent and available to everyone that she came in contact with. In 1967 she married Clifton Coulam. Mildred and Cliff spent the next two decades working together and traveling the world. She is survived by her son Allan (Kara) Toma of Hendrson, NV; her daughter Rebecca (Ross) Stark of Sandy, UT; five grandchildren: Devin (Jennifer) Toma, Courtney (Chris) Irvine, Megan (Donald) Gilman, Cameron Stark, and Dustin Stark; also nine great-grandchildren, and one sister Ella (Charlie) Hara, Hilo, HI. Coyne, Walt Walt Coyne Idaho Falls, Idaho Walter Joseph Coyne, 78, of Idaho Falls, passed away November 13, 2005, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He was born June 12, 1927, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Thomas Francis Coyne and Christine Von Stein Coyne. He grew up and attended schools in Salt Lake City and graduated from West High School. He married Verda Victoria Stucki September 5, 1950, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. He worked as a grocery store manager at Safeway and owned the Food King grocery store in Idaho Falls. He then owned and managed Pioneer Book Store in Idaho Falls for 25 years. An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served as Stake Young Men President, as a Counselor in the Bishopric, on the Stake High Council, and as Bishop. He served a mission in his youth to the Netherlands and was proud that he remained fluent in Dutch throughout his life. He enjoyed reading, travel, his family, and especially loved visits with his grandchildren. Walt was friendly and outgoing and loved sharing his time with others. Norman (Jeanell) Coyne of Ammon, ID; daughter: Lisa Orme of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter: Holly (Lars) Elkin of Aberdeen, ID; brother: Thomas P. Graham passed away at the Eastridge Care Center in Salt Lake City of pneumonia. Born in Castle Gate, Utah to Archie and Sybil Cox Graham. He was raised in Salt Lake, and worked for J.C. Penney Co. and the Public Parks Dept. When he was 11-years-old he was severely injured in a bicycle accident leaving him partially disabled, causing him many difficulties during his life. He always had a joke to tell, followed by a hearty laugh. He was a kind man who loved his family and friends, and was loved in return. Rest In Peace Dear Brother, "Till We Meet Again". Hansen, Virginia Robbins Virginia Hansen 1925 ~ 2005 Virginia Robbins Hansen, age 80, passed away November 12, 2005, surrounded by her family in Salt Lake City. She was born January 23, 1925 in Midvale, Utah to Ralph Robbins and Marie Howard Robbins. She attended Jordan High School. She married Fred W. Hansen, January 16, 1946 in the Salt Lake Temple. Virginia was married to the love of her life, Fred for 59 years. Virginia had a great love for nature and the out of doors, always ready to go out and enjoy God's creations. She had a special talent for gardening. She loved her flowers and she loved working to make her yard the beautiful place that it is. Virginia and Fred traveled throughout the world, living life to its fullest. Her greatest joy was her family. She loved her boys, her daughters-in-law, and each one of her grandchildren and great-grandchil-dren. Virginia was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in the Primary presidency and as a Den Mother more than 20 years, loving all of her boys. She loved music, and it was a great source of comfort in her life. She touched many lives and will be sorely missed. She is survived by her husband, Fred W. Hansen; children, Rob (Dena), Craig (Linda), Ron (Terri), Doug (Abi), Gordon (Ronda); sisters, Genevieve Simpson, Ruby Parker, Dorothy Harkness; 20 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Hanson, Charles Keith Charles Keith Hanson 1906 ~ 2005 Charles Keith Hanson died peacefully on Thursday, November 10, 2005, at Brighton Gardens Nursing Home in Salt Lake City from complications related to old age. Charles, better known as Keith, was born August 19, 1906 in Payson, Utah, the son of Charles G. and La Crish Vilate Hanson. He married his only sweetheart, Helen W. Larsen, on July 1, 1930. She preceded him in death on June 1, 2000 after nearly 70 years of marriage. After having survived some five years of sporadic employment during the Great Depression in the early 1930's, Keith finally found regular employment at Kennecott Copper Company. There he worked for a total of seventeen years. But, based on his Great Depression experience, Keith was always striving to become independent of any employer. Towards that end Keith acquired two small farms in Utah County which he felt would enable him and his family to survive no matter the employment conditions or whims of any employer. He also became involved in several activities aside from his regular employment. These activities included the acquisition of a Doctorate Degree in Metallurgy from the University of Utah in June 1960 at the age of 54. In addition, he along with his brother Burness and sister Gertrude, designed and developed two small subdivisions in the northwest part of Salt Lake City known as Hanson Subdivision 1 and 2. Keith also was a lover of the outdoors and became an expert in fly tying and fly fishing. Keith was preceded in death by six brothers, Arthur, (at the age of one month), Donald, Glen, Burness, Gerald, and Rulon, and two sisters, Gertrude and Dorotha. Keith is survived by one sister, LaVerl H. Kapoloski Reece of Salt Lake City, and several nieces and nephews who will greatly miss him. Henningsen, 86, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 13, 2005, at Care Source in Holladay, UT. He was born on August 27, 1919, in Flensburg, Germany. On September 11, 1943, he married Erna Bauer in Hamburg, Germany. They moved to the United States in 1952. He retired from Eimco Structural Steel in 1983. He is survived by his wife, Erna; four sons, Butch (Pat), Ingo (Mary), Fred, and Glen Henningsen, and one daughter, Rita (Wes) Visher; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Hoecherl, Verda Verda Hoecherl 1933 ~ 2005 Verda Elaine Smith Hoecherl, age 72, passed away peacefully in the company of her family November 14, 2005. Born May 3, 1933 in Thornton, Idaho, daughter of George Ernest and Hilda Marguerite Nelson Smith. Married George Ramon Hoecherl November 29, 1947 and they have been sweethearts for 58 years. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple November 30, 1959. She worked tirelessly for 31 years with mentally and physically challenged youth. She was given the opportunity to form the Kearns Regional Exceptional Mutual for all of her kids who were too old for Primary. She played such an important role in the lives of all of these special young people who needed her. She raised dozens of children in her home. She was a proud mother of five children: Terry (Valerie), Kirk (Sally), Debi Ellis, Troy (Pam), Mindy (Patrick) Jones; grandmother of 28; great-grandmother of 33. She has four brothers and two sisters living. Preceded in death by her son, Kirk; grandson, Cody; brother-in-law, Larry, her surrogate son. Born October 22, 1937 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Floyd and Mary Edith Love Hoskins. Married Cathy Caputo Hoskins in 1968. Tom was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Korean Conflict. Member of St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church. He worked for the Denver Rio Grande Railroad which later became the part of the Union Pacific for 42 years as a switchman. He retired eight years ago. Tom had a very unique and sharp sense of humor that endeared him to family and friends. His interests in life were first and foremost his wife and children. He had a very special bond with each of them as well his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Tom also enjoyed watching the Denver Broncos, Friday night boxing matches, Sunday morning political talk shows. To all Tom's friends and co-workers at the railroad that he never had a chance to say goodbye to, please know that you were always in his thoughts. He had memories and stories (which were heard often) of all of you. Preceded in death by his parents, son Michael E. Foster, brothers Edward, Russell, Jay Hoskins and parents-in-law James and Josephine Caputo. Survived by his wife and children Gina (Wade) Perkins, Rita Steed, Jeffrey (Denise) Foster, Mary Jo (Shane) Lindula, Anthony Hoskins; 10 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, two brothers-in-law Jimmy (Nancy) Caputo, Alfredo (Jane) Caputo. Ingebretsen, Alice Weber Alice Weber Ingebretsen 1911 ~ 2005 BOUNTIFUL - Alice Weber Ingebretsen, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2005 after a valiant battle with cancer. She was born February 27, 1911 to Robert Weber and Alice Louise Hayes Weber in Etna, Wyoming in a two room log house by a midwife. She spent her first nine years in Etna, then her father moved them to Weiser, Idaho on the Oregon side where he could farm. She attended school there. On March 29, 1937 she married Paul Edward Ingebretsen in the Salt Lake Temple. He was working for the Union Pacific Railroad. His work took them to Glenns Ferry where their three children, Ronney Dale and twins Paul Roy and Paulette, were born. He then transferred to Pocatello where she lived until 2000. Alice was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in several positions thinking each calling was the best in the Church. In 2000 she moved to Bountiful after Paul's death to be closer to family. She sewed most of her own clothes and at 90 years old gave up knitting. They always had the best garden in the area and loved sharing with the neighbors. She and Paul loved fishing and spent time with friends taking fishing trips. Preceded in death by two brothers, three sisters and their spouses; sons, Paul Roy Ingebretsen, Ronney Dale Ingebretsen; husband, Paul Edward Ingebretsen; and grandson, Daron Ingebretsen. She is survived by daughter, Paulette Ingebretsen; daughter-in-law, Diane Ingebretsen; granddaughter, Dena Wentz (John); and great-granddaughter, Lacey Nicole Wentz. Moeller, Kent David Kent David Moeller 1957 ~ 2005 Kent David Moeller, 47, passed away November 11, 2005 at his home in Lehi. He was born November 26, 1957 in Wichita, Kansas to William David and Jeneane Fisher Collins Moeller. Kent is a wonderful son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a very patient and gifted teacher. He was a master of stained glass art, and many homes are graced by his work. His talents and friendship were greatly appreciated by his family and all who know him. He was known for his positive attitude and fun sense of humor which was legendary. He is greatly loved. Kent was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had served a mission to Taiwan, Kaohsiung Mission. Kent is survived by his parents; brothers, Keith W. (Shelley) Moeller, Scott S. (Kim) Moeller, Mark M. (Denise) Moeller, and Nathan R. Moeller; sisters, Marianne (Darren) Wooden, and Caroline L.F. O'Sullivan, Janet Janet O'Sullivan 1928 ~ 2005 Janet passed away in the early morning hours Friday November 11, 2005, at her home. She maintained her calm reserve until the end. Janet was born in Salt Lake City March 22, 1928 to George Elmer and Elizabeth McPherson Brown. She grad-uated from South High School in 1945. Janet married Charles R. O'Sullivan November 4, 1950 in Elko, NV. Janet was retired from US West. She was very active in the Towne House Athletic Club for many years serving as secretary of the Bowling League and president of the Ladies Board where she coordinated social events and fund raisers. Janet is survived by her husband, Chuck; sister-in-law, June Mills Brown; nieces, Bonnie Beckstead, Leslie Lees, and their families; and her little dog, Benji. She is preceded in death by her parents; and brother, George Perry Brown. Chuck wishes to thank the many friends and neighbors who have shared their lives for these many years, especially Lila Thompson and Sue Anderson. Ockey, Nellie Gee Nellie Gee Ockey She's "Peachie Rosie" Our sweet mom, grandmother and friend, Nellie Gee Ockey, passed away November 12, 2005 at the age of 93. Nellie was born in Moroni, Utah on November 18th, 1911 the fourth of 10 children of Urvin and Martena Jensen Gee. She married Clarence J. Ockey in Moroni, Utah on December 9, 1931. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple. He passed away in 1986. She lived in Nephi, Utah for several years and moved to Provo, Utah in 1942. There she worked as a doctor's office nurse at Utah Valley Clinic for 30 years. Nellie was an active member of the LDS Church serving in the Primary, M.I.A., Sunday School and Relief Society. Nellie's experience in nursing served her well as she helped neighbors, friends and family. She was always a giving person and caretaker of others. She is survived by her daughter, LaRue (Oliver) Frenette, grandson Dallin Wall, granddaughter Wendy (David) Brown, three great-grand-children; step grandchildren, Carla (Rick) Park, Brian (Linda) Frenette, Colleen (Stan) Parkin, Karen (Ben) Williams and many step great and great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother Burton Gee and sisters Alice Wilson, Lois Van Orden and Elaine Frandsen. Two brothers and three sisters preceded her in death. Brooks S. Petersen 1975 ~ 2005 Brooks Shigeki Petersen returned to his heavenly home Nov. 11, 2005. He was born on April 14, 1975, in Brigham City, Utah, to Jim and Jan Petersen. He was a quiet, loving, active child. He loved sports from his early years and played Little League football and baseball and excelled in the Intramural Pentathlons, and later developed a passion for golf. He graduated from Bear River High School in 1993. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Canada Montreal French speaking mission. After his return, he attended Snow College and SUU. He was married for a short time to Amy Richards from Cedar City, and they were blessed with a son, Carsen Jack on Feb. 21, 2002. He finally found the occupation of his dreams -firefighting. He attended the fire academy, graduated and worked for the Layton and Kaysville fire departments, and was soon thereafter employed by West Valley and South Salt Lake City departments. He also became a certified paramedic and was promoted to the WVC Haz-Mat Team. He LOVED and LIVED his work and was good at it. It was through their complimentary occupations that he met the "Almighty" Jenney Tenney from South Jordan. They were married Sept. 8, 2004 and made their home in Clearfield. Brooks and Jenney were blessed with a son, Ryker Shigeki, June 4, 2005. Brooks is survived by his wife, Jenney, and son, Ryker Petersen; son, Carsen Jack Petersen; parents, grandparents, Shigeki and Mary Moriyama; sister, Cori Dawn Petersen; brother, Shannon James (Alese) Petersen; brother, Trevor Blake (Jenifer) Petersen. A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, Nov. 17, 2005, 11:00 am at the Hunter South Stake Center, 4700 So. 5180 W. Simpson, 42, of Richfield, Idaho, died at home surrounded by his family Thursday evening, November 10, 2005. Cory was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on March 25, 1963 to Robert Jay and Kathleen Truscott Simpson, one of three sons. Cory grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah and attended West High School. Cory served his country in the Army Reserves. Cory married his sweetheart, Kristine Alexander on January 18, 1985. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Cory had a talent for helping people and dedicated endless hours serving his family and friends. Cory was very mechanically inclined and worked for TDK Auto Services in Twin Falls, Idaho and previously for Sutton and Sons of Ketchum, Idaho. Cory is survived by his wife Kristine Simpson; and children, daughter Jamie and Dustin Patterson of Boise, Idaho; son Scott Simpson of Boise, Idaho; parents Robert Jay and Kathleen Simpson of Idaho Falls, Idaho; brothers Ben J. and Mindy Simpson of Wasilla, Alaska; Brad S. Simpson of Lahaina, Hawaii; grandmother Edith Madsen Simpson of Leesburg, Florida; grandchild Kourtney Ann Patterson of Boise, Idaho. Cory was preceded in death by his grandparents; Harry J. Simpson, Fern and Phyllis Truscott. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, November 15, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Richfield L.D.S. Church by Bishop Charles Tree. Burial will be in the Richfield Cemetery. Family members and friends may call on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Stapley, Alexander DeeEl Alexander DeeEl Stapley 1999 ~ 2005 CENTERVILLE-Alexander DeeEl Stapley, age 6, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2005. Alexander was born May 4, 1999 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the son of Jeff and Catherine Hansen Stapley. His parents and siblings, Andrew, Rebecca and Christopher love him very much and will miss him a lot. Alex was always happy. He enjoyed being with others and playing games with his brothers and sisters. Alex has a strong testimony of the love of Jesus Christ. He enjoyed attending Primary, especially singing songs and listening to stories about Jesus. Alex was also very patient with family members and others as we learned to understand his communications with us. Alexander was very tough when it came to recovering from the many medical procedures he had in his short life. Alex was a great delight to his grandparents, Lamar and Elaine Hansen and Norma and DeeEl Stapley, and his aunts, uncles and cousins. They all love him dearly. Alexander enjoyed his school teachers, classmates and especially his bus drivers. They all cared for him and taught him many things. He loved them back for all their service. Alexander's family is proud of how he completed his mission here on earth and we know that he will be able to complete his mission in Heaven with honor and a new freedom from this earthly limiting body. Thomas "Grandma Ruth" Ruth May Clegg Thomas passed away November 14, 2005 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24th, 1917 in Magna, Utah. She was the oldest of five children born to Stella May Hick and Alfred Clegg. Ruth's great grandmother was a member of the Martin Handcart Company. She came from hardy pioneer stock and displayed these characteristics throughout her life. She graduated from Cyprus High School and loved it when the "C" was lit on the Oquirrh Mountains for special events. She graduated from the Excelsior Beauty College and ran her own beauty shop located in back of her parent's home for many years. She married her high school sweetheart, Dixon, on Aug. 1st 1936 at the City & County Bldg. Ruth was a member of the LDS Church where she held many positions including Primary President, MIA President and Jr. Sunday School Teacher in the Pleasant Green 1st Ward. She lived at the same home for 47 years until the death of her husband. She then moved across the street from her daughter and son-in-law and lived there for the next 17 years. She loved to go to her club of lifelong friends for over 50 years. She also bowled in several leagues at The Copper Club, Rancho and Delton Lanes with her husband. She worked at The Arctic Circle in Magna for 16 years for her good friend, Helen Gust and she still thought their cheeseburgers were the best in town. Ruth leaves behind her only daughter, Geraldine "Jeri" Gust and her husband, Johnny; her grandson, Cory (Lisa); granddaughter, Trisha (Ted) Christensen; her great grandchildren whom she dearly loved: Nathan, Natalie, Brianna, Brady & Brook; also her brothers, Raymond (Sandra), Rusell (Bertha) Clegg; sister, Betty Eyre; and sister-in-laws, Julia Clegg & Beth Turpin. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and brother, Earl Clegg; and in-laws Erroll Wana & Allen Thomas. The last four years of her life she had many wonderful caregivers: Magda, Carmen, and Rina, who took such great care of her in her home and The Highland Care Center and Applegate Hospice. Walton, Linda Nell Linda Nell Walton 1946 ~ 2005 Linda Nell Walton, 59, passed away Wednesday November 9, 2005 at her home in Woods Cross, Utah. She was born January 23, 1946 in Vivian, Louisiana the daughter of William "Slim" and Mattie Keathley. She was raised and educated in Corpus Christi, Texas. Married Johnny Murry III in 1964, later divorced. Married Larry Greenhalgh in 1976, later divorced. Married Wayne R. "Dick" Walton March 16, 1991. Linda was a member of the Baptist Church, and past member of L.O.E. BPOE Lodge. She loved to read and tutor children. She enjoyed spending time in the mountains. She was a wonderful cook, loved to entertain and had a contagious laugh. She loved spending time and talking to her family and became a friend to everyone she met. She is survived by her husband Dick, daughter Kimberly (Kevin) R. Neagle, son Anthony (Tonya) Greenhalgh, step daughter Lorry (Jed) Titmus, step-sons Dean (Robyn) Walton and Allan Walton, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Also survived by her brother Richard (Ruth) Keathley and Mary Beth (John) LaCourse. Preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.
