Born October 16, 1913 to Mary Elizabeth and William Q Anderson. Pearl was special to everyone, family, nieces and nephews. She was always there for all of us. She supported many in numerous ways. She had many friends over the years, near and far, and had many wonderful memories she could recall. She was a member of the LDS Church. She worked for Woolworth Company since she was 17 years old. She left home and went to Casper, Wyoming. She traveled and worked until she retired. She loved her home and enjoyed living there with her special little dog "Susie"! She lived a long wonderful life. She lived it to the fullest! She was the last living child of William Q and Mary Elizabeth Facer Anderson. Survived by dear nieces and nephews. At Pearls request no funeral will be held. Belanger, Kimeri Kimeri Belanger "Heart of Gold" Kimeri Belanger, 44, beloved wife, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, and devoted mother, passed away peacefully in her sleep November 18, 2005 in Midvale, Utah. Kim remains in our memory as an incomparable, larger than life friend to all. Her capacity to find humor in every situation and ability to make others share in her joviality filled our hearts and every room with her endless love. Kimeri was born June 26, 1961 in Tucson, Arizona to Carl Nesbitt and Lesta Beattie. She married James Belanger in Las Vegas, NV February 16, 1989. Survived by her husband, Jim; children, Patrick Clark (Diana), Kristin Clark, and James Belanger, Jr.; parents, Carl Nesbitt (Vicky), Lesta Beattie-Manning (Lonnie); grandmother, Rica Nesbitt; sisters and brothers, Yvette Gillespie, Steven Ellis, Christopher Ellis, and Bufflin Oliver (Todd); nieces, Rachel, Samantha, Taylor, Ashlee; and nephew, Christopher, Jr. Our guardian angel, we celebrate your life and your heart that was open to all. Bryan, Virginia Bennion Virginia Bennion Bryan 1918 ~ 2005 Virginia Bennion Bryan, 87, passed away in her home in West Valley City, November 18, 2005. She was born May 30, 1918 to parents Archie and Sadie Bennion. Virginia worked on the farm for her crippled father. She spent many hours riding her favorite horse, "Pet." She graduated from Cyprus High School and also took flying lessons. She worked at Remington Arms factory and later at the Hanford Site. Later she retired from civil service and went to work at KUTV. She was married August 3, 1946 to Rex Bryan in Salt Lake City; they were later divorced. Mom loved to travel and enjoyed long rides. She used to go on spur of the moment trips on weekends. She played piano for vaudeville shows all over the state. She loved to sew pictures and sewed all our clothes except jeans 'till teens. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Byron, Rex, and Udell; as well as her sisters, Carma and Jasmin. She is survived by all seven children, Penny B. Barragan (Alfonso), Jenny Lee Bryan, Arlene Bryan, Mary Ann Speirs (Russ), Judith Bryan, Sam Bryan (Holly), and Rielly Bryan (Mary Ellen); nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren, who all miss her dearly. Evans, Elizabeth Jean Tyndal "Betty" Elizabeth "Betty" Jean Tyndal Evans 1921 ~ 2005 Elizabeth "Betty" Jean Tyndal Evans, 84, passed away November 18, 2005 in SLC, UT, following a long illness. Betty was born July 28, 1921 in Rockford, Illinois to John James and Edna Bell (Holtkamp) Tyndal. At age two, Betty moved to Beloit, Wisconsin and lived on Hackett Street. She fondly remembers being one of the "Hackett Street Gang" as she and her friends called themselves. Betty attended Lakeview High School in Chicago then moved to Batavia, Illinois, and graduated from Batavia High School. She attended the University of Illinois in 1940. In 1941, Betty began attending Evanston Hospital School of Nursing (Northwestern University). She graduated in 1943 and received her R.N. degree. It was at Evanston Hospital where she met the love of her life, Edward Alfred Evans, M.D. She dated him her entire senior year. He proposed at her Graduation Ceremony Dance June 14, 1943. Ed attended the University of Utah and completed his medical training at Rush Medical College of the University of Chicago, in 1942. Betty and Ed were married in Batavia, Illinois September 19, 1943. The happy couple moved to Salt Lake City, Utah after their marriage. Betty got a nursing job at Salt Lake Clinic, and Ed practiced medicine at the Intermountain Clinic. From here, Ed received his orders, and left for overseas as an army doctor. While Ed was overseas, Betty went back to live with her parents in Batavia, Illinois. She worked as a charge nurse on the Gyn floor at Passavant Hospital in Chicago until Ed returned home from the Philippines in May of 1946. Ed then did a three-year rotating residency at Northwestern, and upon completion, returned to Salt Lake City to practice as on orthopedic surgeon at the Intermountain Clinic. It was in Salt Lake City that Betty and Ed reared their three children. Betty was a wonderful mom and devoted wife. She enjoyed raising her kids, traveling, playing bridge with her friends, and watching her soap operas. An avid sports fan, she closely followed BYU, the University of Utah, and the Chicago Bears. Betty is survived by her three children, Christine Maniar (Haroon), John Tyndal Evans (Jeanine), and Edward "Widget" Alfred Evans, Jr. She is survived by four grandchildren, Alex Evans, Eddie Evans, Michelle Spikes (Damon), and Mark Evans. Betty is also survived by her niece, Susan Goodhue (Ed) and their two children, La'akea and Kaiao. She was preceded in death by her father, John James Tyndal; her mother, Edna Belle Tyndal; her loving husband, Edward Alfred Evans, M.D.; and her sister, Margaret (Tyndal) Jackson. Kane was born March 13, 1986 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Jaedean "Jade" Larson. Candice passed away unexpectedly November 19, 2005. She has been gathered in to the loving arms of her Heavenly Father to wait for the sweet reunion with her mother and family. Candice graduated from West Jordan High in 2004. She attended Salt Lake Community College in 2004-2005. She loved life, dancing, music, and being the glamorous girl that she was. She was fun, outgoing, and had lots of PERSONALITY. She loved children and was patient and kind with each and every one. Liddiard, Carol Joyce Bennion Carol Joyce Bennion Liddiard 1935 ~ 2005 Carol Joyce Bennion Liddiard, age 70, returned to her Heavenly Father Nov. 18, 2005 in Salt Lake City. She was born Aug. 14, 1935 in Salt Lake City, UT to Merrill and Geneva Lindsey Bennion. She graduated from East High School and attended the University of Utah. Carol married Richard Alan Liddiard, Sept. 3, 1954, in the Salt Lake Temple. Carol loved to play and teach piano. Carol had a gift for music that she loved to share with others. Her family was the center of her life. She created and sustained family traditions that provided great joy to others. She loved learning and education. She pursued her goals with great enthusiasm, effort and success. Carol lived her life to the fullest. Never wasting any time, she always put others first and devoted countless hours in the service of those around her. Mom, you will be greatly missed! Merzhevsky, Yuri Yuri Merzhevsky "Master Violinist" On November 15, 2005, our beloved son and brother, Yuri Merzhevsky, passed away before his time in Minneapolis, MN. He was born on March 1st, 1960 in St. Petersburg, Russia to Kira Merzhevskaya (mother), and Vladimir Tolstik (step-father). Yuri was a great violinist. He showed this talent from an early age and dedicated his life to his music. He was a graduate of St. Petersburg Conservatory of Music and was the winner of international violin competitions. Yuri's unbelievable talent left unforgettable memories for those who had a privilege to hear him perform. His beautiful music will always be in our hearts. Orgill, Sharon Bailey Bales Sharon Bailey Bales Orgill 1936 ~ 2005 On a sunny autumn morning, Friday, November 18, 2005, Sharon Bailey Bales Orgill had a happy reunion with her sweetheart, mom and dad, and other family and friends after a courageous two year battle with liver cancer. She was born November 9, 1936 to Charles Spence and Inez Jane Anderson Bailey in Garfield, Utah. She was the baby of 10 brothers and sisters. She graduated from Cyprus High School and married James Leslie Bales, Jr. August 31, 1957 in Salt Lake City. They were the adored parents of four children, Shauna (Russ) Lund, Robert (Rhonda) Bales, Sandy Riddle, Joilyn (Monty) Owen; 14 grandchildren; and two precious great-granddaughters. After losing her husband in a tragic accident in 1973, she bravely raised her four children alone. Our beautiful mother could light up a room with her radiant smile and her contagious laughter. She was a wonderful cook and could "whip up something from nothing." She loved to camp, travel, play games, and kiss and squeeze the babies. She was passionate about food and sports. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had such a positive outlook and many people were attracted to her warm personality. Funeral services will be held Wed-nesday, November 23, 12 noon at Valley View Funeral Home Chapel (4335 West 4100 South). Page, Walter "Gwynne" Walter "Gwynne" Page 1915 ~ 2005 Gwynne was born August 28, 1915 in Lark, Utah the son of English immigrants, William Oliver and Alice Morris Page. He passed away peacefully at his home, of natural causes, November 19, 2005 at age 90. Gwynne married Ivy Cardwell, the love of his life, December 9, 1935 in the Salt Lake Temple and began their life together on their Bluffdale farm, raising chickens, fox, mink, horses, and Shetland ponies. He was an avid gardener, flowers being his favorite. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many callings. With his wife, Ivy, they served in the Ohio, Cleveland Mission. He remained a faithful home teacher his entire life. Dad was a very loving, kind, generous husband, father, grandfather, and neighbor; a true gentleman. Gwynne is survived by his wife, Ivy; and their five children, LeRoy (Darlene), Alpine, Jay (Peggy), Bluffdale, Nola (Chuck) Hobbs, American Fork, Wilma (Jerry) Wilkinson, Cumming, GA, Carolyn, (Mike) Bergstrom, West Jordan; 27 grandchildren; 64 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Morris (Jane), Bob; and one sister, Mildred Collett. Stromberg, Beverly Jean Palmer Beverly Jean Palmer Stromberg 1937 ~ 2005 Mom finally got to go home November 18, 2005 after battling the effects of diabetes more than 45 years. She asked us not to be sad for her, but instead think of the grand reunion she is having with her family. Bev was born of goodly parents, James Carlile Palmer and Rachel Amelia Smith Palmer March 23, 1937 in Grantsville, Utah. She was blessed with three brothers, Kenneth, Jerrald, and Bruce who loved and watched over her. She married her high school sweetheart, Charles "Chick" Stromberg February 12, 1947 and was sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and her strong testimony helped her in days of trials and sorrow. She was a gifted teacher and artist and used her talents in many church callings. She leaves behind her wonderful husband, Chick; four children, Charles Ronald (Helen) Stromberg, Bountiful, Carla Jean (Jerry) Wickham, Grantsville, Bryce J. (Terri) Stromberg, Lompoc, California, Jolene (Greg) Bluck, West Jordan; her foster children, Dean (Ferma) Howard, Florese Butler, Doreen Howard all of Arizona; brothers, Jerrald (Merle) Palmer, Brigham City, Bruce (Shirley) Palmer, Kaysville; sister-in-law, Bernice Pal-mer, Tooele; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and 16 foster grandchildren. Young, Gene Elmae Rasmussen Gene Elmae Rasmussen Young 1921 ~ 2005 Gene Rasmussen Young, dearest mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away November 19, 2005 in Salt Lake City, Utah surrounded by her children. She was born May 21, 1921 in Mt. Pleasant, Utah to Jennie Peel and Arthur Freeman Rasmussen. She married Billy Chambers in 1943; they later divorced. She married Willard Barton Young in 1952. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple. Gene worked at Auerbach's and was an active member of the LDS Church where she served in Wells Ward for many years. She was a Primary teacher, Primary counselor, visiting teacher, and Relief Society counselor. She was a faithful member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She loved her study groups and dinner club. She was an excellent cook and seamstress. She loved a good joke and especially a funny face. Gene was a dear mother and friend. She was a beautiful, elegant woman. A special thanks to St. Joseph Villa for their excellent and tender care. She is survived by five children, Robert Arthur Chambers of Beaver Dam, AZ, Barton Eugene Young of Cedar City, UT, Sydney Anne (Don) Vale of San Diego, CA, Suzan Kaye (Jeff) Bates of Koosharem, UT, Stephanie Young (Dennis) Merzel of Salt Lake City, UT; 16 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and siblings, Sarah Anderson, Kathryn Ritz, Dorothy Smith, Norma Anderson, and Wallace Rasmussen.
