Billings, Evan Abram Evan Abram Billings 1925 ~ 2005 Evan Abram Billings, 80, died October 27, 2005 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born September 13, 1925 in Delta, Utah to Claude Duval and Lydia Workman Billings. He married Elda Mae Lewis, July 26, 1945 in the Manti LDS Temple. Evan served in the US Army Air Corp during World War II. He raised his family in Provo, Utah until 1980 when they relocated to Independence, Missouri. He was an active leader in the LDS church and a devoted temple worker. Evan was preceded in death by his sweetheart. Survivors include Susan (Robert) Mitchell, West Bountiful; Roger (Tonja), Billings, Missouri; Nancy (Stephen) Allen, West Jordan; Lewis (Patti) Billings, Provo; Mary (Bryan) Jones, Idaho; and Anne (Matthew) Untch, Missouri; 45 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Mary Strong, Salt Lake City; Ava (June) Shaw, Salt Lake City; and two brothers: Alonzo Billings, American Fork; Melvin D. Bradford, Maurianne Sadleir Maurianne Sadleir Bradford 1951 ~ 2005 Maurianne Sadleir Bradford was born July 14, 1951 in Boulder City, Nevada to Reese Earl Faucette and Bonnie Mae Myrup. She passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2005 from complications of ovarian cancer. Her parents divorced, and her mother married Earl Woods Sadleir. Maurie and sisters, Kathi, Mary and Sherry shared many happy memories with Bonnie and Earl through their family vacations and escapades. She had a wonderful childhood in the small rural town of Draper, Utah. During her attendance at Jordan High School she was a member of the Charlonians, the A Cappella Choir and was selected as the General Sterling Scholar. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Child Development and Family Relationships and participated in the BYU Spurs Service Club. Maurie married Michael Glen Bradford on November 17, 1972, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They had five children. They were later divorced. Maurie's talent with numbers led her to Jordan School District where she worked first in the Accounting Department and later in the Payroll Department as a Senior Payroll Clerk. While there she made many dear friends and acquaintances. Maurie was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and loved the teachings of Jesus Christ. She enjoyed serving in the church, especially callings with music and children. A source of joy in Maurie's life was her love of music. She taught her children to value music and the arts and also found great satisfaction as a member of the Salt Lake Symphonic Choir. One of her greatest passions was family history. She loved to research family names and have the temple work done for these family members. She is survived by her children: Andrew Michael (Jean) Bradford, Kevin Earl (Heidi) Bradford, Peter Glen (Sharey) Bradford, Karen Anne (Krys) Oyler, and Wendy Gay Bradford. She has nine grandchildren. Also survived by ex-husband Mike, sisters Kathi G. Ellsworth, Mary Sadleir Applegate and Sherry Sadleir Salazar, and nephews and nieces. I want you to think of it this way. We are having another family campout. I have gone ahead to find a nice camping spot. The road is straight, but there are some rough spots along the way. Do not turn off the main road. At the end of the road you'll find a bend, I will be there waiting for you on the other side. Willis John Edgel, 77, youngest son of John Francis and Maude Hillier Edgel, passed away Oct. 27, 2005 at home, after a long courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer. He was born April 5, 1928 in the family home in Hoytsville, Utah. He graduated from North Summit High School. He enlisted in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict, where he spent the majority of his 4 years in Fairbanks, Alaska as an Air Traffic Controller. He went on to receive a Bachelor's and a Master's Degree from Utah State University. He taught school for 30 years at Smithfield Junior High, and Sky View High Schools in Utah, and at Spring Mountain School in Las Vegas, Nevada. He married Leah Larsen, and had 4 children. They later divorced. He then married Sara Cooley in June 1967. They moved to Las Vegas where they lived for 25 years. After retirement they moved back to Utah where they lived several years in Virgin, and in their current home in Roy. John was a master at everything. He was a beautiful artist, carpenter, and landscaper. He looked forward to, and enjoyed many camping trips to the Uintahs each summer. John is survived by his wife, Sara, of Roy; children, Diana (Dan) Pace; Doug (Myrna) Edgel; Rex (Carmen) Edgel; Gwen (Ken) McFarland; Susan (Larry) Baldwin; Bill (Kathleen) Richardson; Sam (Debbie) Richardson; Kelly (Karen) Richardson; Tim (Debbie) Richardson; 31 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren and one brother, Grant Edgel of Oregon. Ronald Frogley 1924 ~ 2005 PROVIDENCE, UT - Dr. H. Ronald Frogley, 81, passed away at his home, surrounded by his family, on October 26th, 2005. Born April 25, 1924 in Brigham City, UT to Henry Alfred Frogley and Sarah Luella Fife. Married to Donna Lee Woodland of Pocatello, ID on Sept. 12, 1947 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. He attended High School in Baker, OR. He graduated from Brigham Young University with a B.A. in Anatomy and a M.A. in Zoology and Physiology. After working for the Federal Bureau of Investigations for seven years, living in San Diego, CA, Kansas City, MO, Salina and Hutchinson, KS. Ron left the Bureau to attend Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, where he resided until retirement. Upon earning his doctor of chiropractic degree in 1961, he worked at Palmer as the department head of Neurology, the Academic Dean, Dean of the Clinic, the Vice President, and the Executive Vice President. He simultaneously ran a private practice. Dr. Frogley retired from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2000 when he moved to Providence, Utah. Ron served in the U.S. Navy and was attached to the Marines in the South Pacific during World War II where he was awarded the Silver Star for gallantry in action. He was a member of BYU Vikings, Rotary, International Chiropractic Association, a member of the Palmer Chiropractic Board of Trustees, a member of the Iowa Board of Examiners, and professionally received many awards, including "Parker Seminars' Chiropractor of the Year" in 2000 and is a certificate holder for Palmer College. As a member of the LDS Church, he served as Branch President, Bishop, High Counselor, First Counselor in the Stake Presidency, Counselor in the Des Moines, IA Mission Presidency, and Stake Patriarch. Ron is survived by his wife and 10 children: Dr. Craig Frogley (Sandy, Utah); Dr. Colin Frogley (Aptos, CA); Dr. Chris Frogley (Bettendorf, IA); Ronda Thompson (Providence, UT); Clark Frogley (Middleburgh, NY); Debra Broberg (Simi Valley, CA); Dr. Curt Frogley (New Bern, NC); Dr. Scott Frogley (Draper, UT); Laura Dahl (Redding, CA); and Dr. Cory Frogley (South Jordan, UT); and brother Keith Frogley (Provo, UT); 37 grandchildren and nine great-grand-children also survive him. Hatch, Vera Afton (Leavitt) Vera Afton Leavitt Hatch 1918 ~ 2005 Our beautiful, loving mother, Afton Leavitt Hatch, 87, passed away with grace and dignity surrounded by her family, on October 27, 2005. She was born on February 18, 1918, in Gunlock, Utah to Thomas Josiah and Flora Christine Harder Leavitt. She married C. Victor Hatch on November 3, 1939, in Salt Lake City, later solemnized in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. Our mother engaged fully in life and we never knew her to procrastinate. She was a good friend, patient in her afflictions, and a devout LDS church member. Mother taught us to respect church leaders and she modeled obedience. This valiant woman dedicated her life to her family. Those who were fortunate enough to know and serve her count her as a valued treasure. How lucky we are to love someone who is so hard to say goodbye to. She is survived by daughters, Deyanne (Robert) Sweeten, Charlene (Merrill) Wells, Lynette (David) Edwards, Jerilynn (Mark) Richardson, Debra (David) Peterson; 18 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren. Helsten, Nida Chloe (Golding) Nida Chloe Golding Helsten "Aite" Nida Helsten, our dear "Aite," passed away in Salt Lake City, Utah on October 25, 2005 of natural causes at the age of 90. She was born on April 15, 1915 in Wellington, Utah to Semon Golding and Bettie Hill Golding. She married Benjamin V. Helsten on November 4, 1938. Their marriage was later sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple. After relocating from Schofield, Utah to Salt Lake City, Utah to raise their family, Nida worked for many years at Sears where she made many life-long friendships. She and her husband lived for over 30 years in Taylorsville, Utah attending the Paradise Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Nida served in many callings, among her favorites was ward choir director. Nida and Benjamin served in the Missouri, St. Louis Mission from 1980-1981 and later served as temple workers at the Jordan River Temple. She is now reunited with our dear "Papa" who preceded her in death in 1993, as well as all of her brothers and sisters. She is survived by her two sons, Donald G. Helsten, Benjamin V. Guest Book Flowers Charities Ingle, James Lewis James Lewis Ingle 1937 ~ 2005 James Lewis Ingle passed away in Salt Lake City on October 27, 2005. James was born on April 17 1937 to Trico and Mabel Brown Ingle m Montgomery, Alabama the youngest of ten children. He spent his childhood in Montgomery, and joined the Air Force at the age of 17. James made a career of the Air Force and served three tours in the Viet Nam theatre. During his time in the Air Force he met and married Claudette Westburry, and the family lived in several states. He retired after twenty three years of service and the family moved to Lehi where they raised their children. James gained employment with the Department of Corrections. He spent his career training officers and staff. He retired from the Dept. in 1997. Claudette passed away in 1997. James married Gail Wiechman in November of 1998, and moved to Riverton, Utah. James was an active member of the LDS church where he enjoyed serving in the High Priest Group presidency and enjoyed his home teaching assignments. James is survived by his wife Gail and his children Jimmy (Chuck), Vicky (Robert) Smith, Becky (Anne), and Sammy. He is also survived by his step children Mark (LaNell) Wiechman, Brent (Val) Wiechman, Paula (Bryan) Vigos, and Eric Wiechman. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren. Potter, Martha C. Martha C. Potter 1913 ~ 2005 Martha Claudine Potter passed away peacefully October 27, 2005 in Salt Lake City. She was born March 21, 1913 in Pensacola Florida. She married E.J. Potter in December of 1930, he passed away in March of 1989. She lived in Kearns for over 50 years and is known for her beautiful yard and flowers, and was also known for her warmth and friendliness to all. Survived by son-in-law Dick Hudspeth; 13 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by three daughters, Ella Jean Hudspeth, Ewanda Joy Wood, and Eloise Jane Skog; and two grandsons, Robert Wood Jr., and Gary Lee Wood. Married Virginia Meyer October 19, 1945. She died September 9, 1996. Jack served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He worked for CF&I Steel for 32 years. He enjoyed fishing and gardening-and most of all, being with his family. Survived by three children: Cheryl Wilcox, Karen Wood, Mike (Debbie) Rodgers; six grandchildren, Dan (Amy) Wilcox, Wendy Wilcox, Sarah and Alexis Miller, Jennifer (Jesse) Whitlock, and Michael Rodgers; and four great-grandchildren. Roseman, Frank A. Frank A. Roseman 1925 - 2005 Frank Anthony Roseman, 80, died peacefully the morning of October 26, 2005. Frank was born in Canon City, CO, August 25, 1925 to Frank William Roseman and Emolean A. Richards. Frank's family moved to Carbon County in 1937; his father was killed in a mine accident five years later. Frank married Wilma R. Hunter in 1946; they had two children and were married for over 20 years. He later married and divorced twice: Sharon Simon in 1971 and Renee Eberley in 1986. As a young man, Frank became an accomplished accordion player and formed a local dance band, "The Swingsters". He owned Price Music Center in the early 1950's and taught accordion to many music students. In the late 1950's, Frank joined the insurance industry and successfully managed an agency for many years. Frank was known for being a sharp, well-dressed man who drove immaculate cars. He had a lifelong love of automobiles, restoring classic T-birds in his later years. Frank had an extraordinary talent for attention to detail. He retained his brilliant memory and knack for storytelling until the end. His ability to find pleasure in small things was an inspiration to all who knew him. Frank is survived by his daughter, Susan Roseman Fulsome; his brother, Tom Parry (UT); his sisters, Pauline Durrant (UT), Earlene Cox (UT), Myrlene Hider (CA); six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, other extended family; his former wife, Wilma Watson; long-time friends, Val Jensen, Reece Gardner, Georgia Oliver, Judy Bart, Robin Cowell, and others. Wilma was born in Woodward County, OK, March 12, 1926, to Peter C. Renfrow and Lurline Amanda Berry Renfrow. She grew up in Delta, CO. after leaving Oklahoma. She graduated from Delta High School and later, Ottawa University with a BA in education. She married Dale Trigg on August 7, 1952, in Delta. She was an elementary school teacher for over 30 years at Douglas Elementary School. Salt Lake City, UT, She was a member of the First Baptist Church In Salt Lake City and the Eastern Star. She moved to Gardner, KS, from Delta In 1994. She was preceded in death by her parents: her husband, Dale, in 1993; brothers, Mel, Ed, and Lewis Renfrow; and her sister, Evelyn Jackson. Webb, Vivian Ruth Crump Vivian Ruth Crump Webb 1932 ~ 2005 Our most kind, sweet, loving, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend returned to her loving Heavenly Father October 27. 2005. She passed away peacefully at the Jordan Valley Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born January 15, 1932 to Reynold and Myrtle Frost Crump. She lived and grew up in Bluffdale Utah. She attended grade and middle school at Riverton Elementary, graduating from Jordan High School in 1950. She loved playing the violin. Growing up on a farm, she had lots of work to do. She always found time to attend her church meetings. She was active in the 4-H Club and learned many things and became an excellent cook. Married Keith M. Webb January 15, 1950 in Salt Lake Temple for time and all Eternity. Making their first home in Midvale, Utah. She was a very active member or The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various organizations. She was a faithful visiting teacher for many years. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She is survived by her husband Keith, and four children. Janet (Martin) Lindgren, Pamela Webb, Doug (Tanya) Webb, and Clinton (Shawnie) Webb. Workman, Ruth Musser Scott Ruth Musser Scott Workman 1914 ~ 2005 Ruth Musser Scott Workman, granddaughter of Utah pioneer Amos Milton Musser, was born December 14, 1914, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Mary Eliza Lance and Barr White Musser. She died on Thursday, October 27, 2005, at home in Taylorsville, Utah. Ruth was a dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and she served five missions for the Church during her life. Her first mission was to California when Heber J. Grant was President of the Church. On one occasion she accompanied President Grant on the piano while he sang. After her mission she married Austin Scott, on August 18, 1937. Together they had 14 children. They were divorced in 1973. From 1976 to 1977, she served a mission in North Carolina. She met Kendrick Workman in 1983, and they were married on April 6th of that year. In May they received a mission call to serve in Barcelona, Spain. They later served a mission in Ohio. Ruth and Kendrick enjoyed wonderful years together until his death on August 12, 1992. After he died, Ruth served a mission in McAllen, Texas. She later served as a stake missionary in St. George. In addition to missionary work, she loved to be in the temple. She served as a temple worker in the Salt Lake, Manti, and St. George temples for many years. Ruth was preceded in death by her older sister, Mary Musser Sharp, and her younger brother, Barr Lance Musser. Ruth is survived by many children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, whom she loved very much. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, November 1, from 10:00 to 11:30, at the Taylorsville Utah Stake Center at 4845 S. Woodhaven Dr. (1335 W.) in Taylorsville, Utah.
