J. Arnal, Jr. 1946 ~ 2004 ST. GEORGE, UTAH Paul John Arnal, Jr., 58 years old, passed away Thursday, October 28, 2004 at his home in St. George, Utah. He had been fighting a battle with lung cancer which he lost. He was born February 27, 1946, Boston, Massachusetts, a son of Dr. Paul John Arnal, Sr. and Georgia Lee Gillespie Arnal. He married Diane C. Thornley October 28, 1978 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was raised in River Forest, Illinois, and attended high school at Culver Military Academy, Culver, Indiana. He graduated with the Class of 1965. After graduation, he attended one year of college in San Antonio, Texas. P.J. joined the U.S. Navy in December of 1968, served on the USS Enterprise, did three tours of duty in Vietnam, and received an honorable discharge from the Navy in May of 1970. Shortly after his discharge, he visited a buddy of his in Salt Lake City, Utah. He loved the area so much that he made it his home. P.J. became employed as a Hydraulic Valve Technician with E-Systems, Inc., Montek Division, Salt Lake City, in December of 1971. Most of his time was spent in the Valve Shop and the Engineering Lab. He dearly loved his work, especially all of the challenges he faced. He had worked on various product lines, such as Boeing Aircraft, Bell Helicopter, Lockheed Martin, and the list goes on. After 29 years, he took an early retirement at age 55 from E-Systems, Montek Division which had become Moog Aircraft. At that time, he and Diane settled in St. George. P.J. started to ride motorcycles at an early age and rode up until his battle with cancer. He also had a great love for all facets of aerospace. He enjoyed traveling, the outdoors, golfing, and had a long list of hobbies, too numerous to recount. A kind, gentle, and loving man, P.J. extended a feeling of warmth to everyone he met. Surviving family include his: wife, Diane; mother-in-law, Jerry; brother-in-law, David; cousins, George, Mary Ellen, Ann, Sue, John, (and his wife, Lynette), Jake, and Mary Jane, and all of their families. His wife, Diane, would like to thank Dr. Joseph Te, Dr. Craig McCune, Dr. Mustufa Saifee, Dr. Douglas Debenham, Dr. Jon Hubbard, Dr. Jane Manalo, the Dixie Regional Medical Center staff, the Dixie Cancer Clinic staff, and IHC Hospice staff for the loving care they gave Paul John, my precious angel. Graveside services, with full military honors, will be held Saturday, Nov. 6, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Tonaquint Cemetery in St. George. Barnes Jr. Soldier-Rancher-Builder Val Barnes, born March 25, 1925, died Oct. 28, 2004 of natural causes. Val is survived by his wife (of 57 years) Margie; son, Larry (Sharon) Barnes of Riverton, Utah; one brother, Joseph Barnes; four grandchildren, Megan, Sarah, Lance, and Katy; and two great-grandchildren. Val was born to Lawrence and Leone Barnes in Salt Lake City, graduated from West High School, and entered World War II where he flew 31 combat missions with the 384th Bomb Group. Val then married Margie Johnson, and then moved to Fillmore, Utah, where he farmed and ranched for 25 years. In 1973 he moved to Salt Lake City, where the remainder of his working career was spent in the building trades. Dad, we will miss you; however, we will soon be on the farm together. Cottam, Sheila Gertrude Winters Sheila Gertrude Winters Cottam 1923 ~ 2004 Sheila Gertrude Winters Cottam, 81 of Springville, passed away Thursday, October 28, 2004. She was born June 30, 1923 in Garland, Utah, daughter of Alvin and Emma Somers Winters. Sheila was raised in Hoytsville and graduated from North Summit High School and then graduated from Holy Cross Hospital of Nursing. She worked in Summit Co. Hospital in Coalville and as public health nurse for Summit Co. She worked for 30 years at UVRMC. Sheila served a mission in Northern California from 1947-1948. She married Byron Lorin Cottam on March 30, 1949 in the Salt Lake Temple and moved to Springville in 1955. She was active in the LDS Church and taught in many auxiliaries and served as an ordinance worker in the Provo Temple. She is survived by her husband Byron L. Cottam of Springville; sons Robert (Pat) of Spanish Fork and Lorvin (Geraldine) of Price; grandchildren Brian (Bianca) Cottam of Santaquin; Alison (Keith) Norman of Springville; Travis Cottam of Price; Justin Cottam of Price; Cory (Adri) Cottam of Cedar City; Kristi (Jordan) Leon of Price; and Jake Cottam of Price; great-grandchildren Dalton, Kylie, Braxton, Emmalee, Joyce and Kodi. Crawford, Beth Patterson Beth Patterson Crawford 1917 ~ 2004 Beth Patterson Crawford died Oct. 26, 2004 She died as she lived, courageously, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Beth was born October 10, 1917, in Beaver, Utah, to Sarah Jane Morris and Edgar LeRoy Patterson. After graduating from Milford High School in 1934, she moved to Salt Lake City and married William Reid Crawford (Bill). Later, she earned a degree from Stevens Henager College while working full time and raising her children. Beth worked at Muir Roberts Fruit Brokerage Company as a bookkeeper until she retired at age 67. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held memberships in the American Needlepoint Guild and the Utah Quilt Guild. A true renaissance woman, Beth produced remarkable paintings, exquisite needlepoint, ceramics for every holiday, meticulously crafted quilts, and clothing for her girls. She learned to love gardening from her mother, nurtured her family with great food, needle work and quilting, read copiously, especially history and current events, and listened to fine music as well as the torture of novice violin and piano music simultaneously ringing from every room in her small house. She is survived by her five daughters, Vickie Waters, (Jack), Beaver, as well as Sara Jane Andersen, Mary Beth Clark (Scott H.) Kathleen Starr, (Gary L.) and Carolyn Ellis, (Lon B.), all of Salt Lake City, 33 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren. Beth was preceded in death by her husband and parents, brothers, Roy and Morris Patterson, and son-in-law Ray E. Andersen. Dyches 1920 ~ 2004 MAGNA - Our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Claone Johnson Dyches passed away October 28, 2004 in West Valley City, Utah. She was born January 12, 1920 in Monroe, Utah to Howard Maine and Ethel Davies Johnson. She graduated from South Sevier High School where she served as student-body president. Married H. Thomas Dyches September 17, 1940 in the Manti LDS Temple. Claone served in many LDS church callings. She worked as a legal secretary at the Utah State Capital, and with her husband, Tom at Dyches' Pharmacy in Magna. She was an avid painter and very musically talented, playing the oboe, clarinet, and piano. She was a member of the Lady Lions and served as PTA President. With her friends she enjoyed playing bridge, golfing, painting, and bowling. There was nothing she could not do. She dearly loved her grandchildren, friends, neighbors, and her cats. Survived by her husband, Tom; children, Tom Dyches Jr., Kathy (Rod) Collings, and Kim (Cindy) Dyches; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; twin sister, Ione Strother; sisters, Vivian Bowman and JaNell Padley; brother, Monte Davies; and many nieces and nephews. Greenlee Ferrin 1916 ~ 2004 Gretchen passed away peacefully on October 26, 2004 in Salt Lake City, from natural causes following a stroke. She was born March 13, 1916 in Heavener, Oklahoma, the first child of Victor Sylvester Greenlee and Luella Pannell Greenlee. After graduating from Springville High School where she enjoyed performing in theatrical productions, she moved to Salt Lake and worked as an office worker for the state government. She married Joseph M. Ferrin in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on November 25, 1938. He died August 7, 1984. She loved her home, remodeling antique furniture and collecting dolls. Her hobby was buying and selling collectible dolls. She loved going out to dinner with her children, and loved visits with grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and neighbors. Survived by her children, Joyce Ann Munguia, Scott Ferrin, and David Ferrin (Nancy); four grandchildren; several great grandchildren; sister Betty Rawlings; and numerous nieces and nephews. Foster, Margaret Berneice Margaret Berneice Foster 6/10/11 ~ 10/28/04 Margaret Berneice Winn Foster passed away October 28, 2004 in West Jordan, Utah. She was born June 10, 1911 in Lehi, Utah to Charles H. and Mary E. Yates Winn. Married Kenneth Earl Foster, June 19, 1929 in the Salt Lake Temple. She lived in Bingham Canyon and Copperton, Utah. Berneice was a faithful member of the LDS Church, serving for many years in the Primary, MIA, Sunday School and Relief Society in many positions. She was a visiting teacher for 60 years, served as a Temple Worker, and sang in the ward choir. Berneice was also a member of the DUP. She was a peacemaker, loved her family and neighbors and especially loved babies and children. Berneice was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. She was a hard worker and an excellent homemaker, cook and seamstress and she created beautiful handiwork and crafted many quilts. She helped support her grandchildren on their missions. Berneice enjoyed fishing, camping and picnicking in the mountains. She learned to drive a car at age 12 and still had a driver's license in her purse. Survived by a son, Kenneth Wynne (Karen) Foster; a daughter, Sharlene (Grant) Pullan; 11 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother Elwin, and sisters, Elva, Flossie, Lola and Iola. Hampshire, Stuart Paul Stuart Paul Hampshire 1965 ~ 2004 On January 31, 1965 a beautiful little boy was born to Charles W. Hampshire and Barbara E. Beynon Hampshire. Stuart was the last of seven children born to Charles and Barbara. Stuart was a smart and witty child he was known for his talents in acrobats and cooking by age three, and driving mom's car at age four (and the mailman's vehicle-he just wanted to deliver the mail) Stuart was loved by many throughout his life for the care and concern he extended freely. He grew into manhood all too soon, to become a Certified Nursing Assistant, and his kind-heartedness was shared as he cared for elderly people in their homes as well as working with young people in rehab programs. He later moved into doing construction work. Stuart had compassion for others and cared for many his death has extremely saddened us all and he will be deeply missed. Stuart died October 25, 2004 in Higley, Arizona. Stuart is survived by: ex-wives Laurie Carlson (1985), Jacque Kelly (1987), and Heidi Robinson (1992); daughters: Stephanie, Chelsey and Shauna Marie Hampshire, Shawnee and Scottie Robinson; and the apple of his eye Shyleah Rose and also his fiancee Christine Arney; his mother, Barbara E. Stratton and stepfather, William F. Stratton; sisters: Catherine Hampshire, Deborah Galke, Kristeen Searles; brothers: Warren Hampshire and Elliott Hampshire. Stuart also leaves many nieces and nephews. He was a member of the LDS Church. Stuart was preceded in death by his father, Charles W. Hampshire and his brother, Thomas Charles Hampshire. Hartle, Dona Bigelow Dona Bigelow Hartle 1920 ~ 2004 VERNAL, UT - Dona Bigelow Hartle, age 84, wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grand-mother, and great-great-grand-mother, passed away peacefully, Oct. 28, 2004, at her home in Lapoint, UT surrounded by her loving family, of natural causes. She was born January 15, 1920 in Vernal, UT to George Franklin and Lillian Hair Bigelow. She married Charles Kenneth Hartle on June 1, 1937 in Lapoint, UT and they were sealed for time and eternity in the Salt Lake LDS Temple Aug. 10, 1937. Dona and Ken had eight children who were her most important treasure in this life. Her family was always her number one priority, and she always supported her children and grandchildren in their activities. She loved to keep a very clean house and loved to cook for her family, but she also found time to work with Ken on the ranch. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had served as the ward organist in the Lapoint Ward for over 25 years. She had also served in the Primary, Relief Society, and MIA. Dona is survived by her children: Keith K. (Carma), Lapoint; Max F. (Beverly), Glenwood, UT; Jay B. (Lois), Lapoint; Don M. (Patricia), Wellsville, UT; Glen (Dixie), Lapoint, UT; Reed D. (Rita), Lapoint, UT; Kenna Dee (Jay) Hurren, Weston, ID; and LeeAnn H (Leon) Richens, Lapoint, UT. Her posterity includes 36 grandchildren, 71 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by two sisters: Nelda Wilkins, Roosevelt, UT; and Beth Perry, Salt Lake City, UT. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a sister, Lela Hullinger, a grandson, Duane Hartle, and a great-grandson, Christopher Johnson. Born February 13, 1916 in Bergen, Norway, son of Leonard and Dagny Bianca Larsen Ingebrigtsen. Married Inga Henriette Osterboe September 7, 1940 in Norway; solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple February 21, 1950. Member of the LDS Church. With his wife, served two LDS missions to Norway and was instrumental in the formation of the Norwegian Branch. Retired from Kennecott Copper Corporation and was a member of the Scandia Male Chorus. He is survived by his loving wife, Inga; children Marion (Hans) Olsen, Rigmor (Fred) Nelson, Frank (Barbara) Ingebrigtsen; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren. Jones "1957 ~ 2004" Matthew Stewart Jones beloved son, father and brother returned to his Father in Heaven October 27, 2004. Matt was born on June 14, 1957 in Salt Lake City to Robin Sellick Jones and Milton Jones. He graduated from Granite High School in 1975 and attended Dixie College in St. George Utah. In 1978 he met and married Marjean Cowdell with whom he had three beautiful children. Matt chose a career in the power tool industry and co-founded M&M Tool in 1986 where he remained employed until the time of his death. He was happiest when surrounded by his family and friends and was known by all for his sweet and generous spirit. Without him our lives are forever changed. He is survived by his wife Marjean, daughter Kimberly (Andrew) Decker, and sons Casey and Parker, his parents and sister Jill, and brother Scott (Sherrie) Jones, nephews Levi and Jake Jones. Born October 31, 1944 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Emron Max and Helen Louise Birch. Her family meant the world to her; she was proud of her children's accomplishments and adored her grandchildren. Knudson, Margaret McPhie Margaret McPhie Knudson 9/23/27 ~ 10/26/04 Our wonderful mother, wife, sister and grandmother, Margaret McPhie Knudson passed away October 26, 2004 after an extended illness. She was born September 23, 1927 in Salt Lake City to Daniel and Mary McPhie. She married Al Knudson, September 13, 1951. Margaret was proud of the fact that she played the bagpipes and was one of the youngest members of the Utah Pipe Band at age 12. She continued to perform throughout the state with her brother and sisters. She graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Speech Therapy where she was a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. She enjoyed singing in the Alpha Chi Omega Quartet for four years. Qwest Communications provided her with a long career in management and she developed many life long friendships. She also volunteered her time in the PTA, Cub Scouts and was the Junior Sunday School pianist for ten years. Margaret is survived by her loving husband of 53 years Al, children Scott (Karol) Knudson, Laurie (Woody) Cannon, Mark (Vicki) Knudson, adored grandchildren Erin, Spencer and Taylor Cannon, Alex Knudson, sister Mary Wilkins, brothers Joe McPhie, Gary (Janet) McPhie, brother-in-law Lamarr (Sandra) Burton, sisters-in-law Lyn (Boyd) Bible, Darlene Knudson and numerous nieces and nephews. Kunz, Velta Brooksby Velta Brooksby Kunz 1921 ~ 2004 Velta Brooksby Kunz, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 28, 2004 at the age of 83 at her home. She was born on May 27, 1921 in Fredonia, Arizona to Alfred and Vida Judd Brooksby. She married Herbert L. Kunz on April 9, 1946 in the Salt Lake Temple. They are the parents of four children. Velta was active in the LDS church and held positions in the Primary, Relief Society and other organizations. Velta served a mission to the Western States Mission. Her time was spent in Denver, CO., and Thermopolis, WY. She served during Word War II so spent a longer time in the mission field than the usual 18 months. Velta enjoyed travel. She and her husband had the opportunity to see Australia and New Zealand. In later years they traveled the Snowbird circuit through Arizona and spent several winters in St. George. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Herbert; sons Neldon, Floyd, and Kevin, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, brother Wayne Brooksby, sisters Reva Swapp, Myrtle Judd and Eulamae Bryner. She was preceded in death by infant daughter, Eldene, brother, Marvin Brooksby and granddaughter, Jennifer Kunz Murray. McClunie, Andrew Paul Andrew Paul McClunie 1957 ~ 2004 Andrew Paul McClunie, born 2Feb. 4, 1957 in New York City, died Oct. 27, 2004 in Salt Lake City, UT. He was the beloved son of Andrew and Agnes McClunie, father of Jaimee Larrecuente and Erik McClunie. Andy was the brother of Aileen Cartlidge and Alen McClunie. Andy's light shined brightly on the world and he will be missed by many family members and thousands of close friends. He lived his life to the fullest of human potential. Andy's profound humanity was shared with all who knew him. Published in the Salt Lake Tribune on 10/30/2004. Midgley, Marsha Ballif Marsha Ballif Midgley 1919 ~ 2004 Marsha Ballif Midgley died October 23 in Salt Lake City of natural causes. Marsha was born to Cora Hansen Ballif and John Lyman Ballif, Jr. on June 19, 1919 in Rexburg, Idaho. The family moved to Salt Lake City in 1923 so her father could attend the University of Utah and teach French. Marsha showed her acting talents early, appearing in the first production in Kingsbury Hall, "The Bluebird," in 1923. Marsha attended the University of Utah and inherited a love and commitment to the U from her father, who was Dean of Men for many years. She performed in Freshman, Varsity, and Theta Alpha Pi productions and won best acting awards. She participated in many student activities, was a Chi Omega and President of the Associated Women Students, and was proud of being chosen for Beehive, a senior honorary society. She graduated in 1939. After graduation from the U, Marsha married Grant Midgley, had three children, and continued to perform on the Salt Lake stage, playing leading roles in numerous plays such as "Twelfth Night," The Little Foxes," "Othello," and "Saint Joan." She was active in the community, including as Chairman of the Mother's March on Polio, and as a member of the Junior League. She and Grant enjoyed Salt Lake society, politics, the arts, and their friends. In 1959 the Midgleys moved to Washington, D.C., where they resided until 1986. Marsha continued her community activities there, with the Washington Symphony, United Nations Association, and University of Utah Alumni Association. She received the University of Utah Emeritus Alumni Association's Merit of Honor Award in 1981. She was on the Board of Widening Horizons, whose activities included providing field trips for inner city youth. She also worked on the campaigns of Presidential Candidates John F. Kennedy and Hubert Humphrey. Marsha showed visitors the sights of Washington and gained a reputation as master of the quick but complete D.C. tour. In 1974, Marsha began 10 years of employment for the National 4-H Council as a Washington Program Specialist. She often commented that working with the young people and college students she met at 4-H immeasurably enriched her life. When she retired in 1984, 4-H honored her for "significant contributions enriching the learning experience of more than 200,000 4-H'ers." Marsha and Grant moved back to Salt Lake in 1986. They continued to enjoy the arts, politics, and their many friends. Marsha again took up community activities, serving on the Utah Museum of Fine Arts Board, Salt Lake City Arts Council, College of Fine Arts Board, City and County Building Conservancy Board, and the University Health Sciences Department's Educational Resource Development Council. She was deeply involved in the renovation of Kingsbury Hall, where she had performed so often and in memory of her parents' long association with the Hall. Marsha loved her family and friends dearly. Grant passed away just last December but she is survived by her brother John Lyman Ballif III of Provo, daughters Marty McCune of Tucson, Arizona and Jane Midgley of Somerville, Massachusetts, and son John Ballif Midgley and his wife Lynn Greiner and grandchildren Nate and Maya Midgley, all of Seattle, WA. A memorial service will be held Monday, November 1 at 1:00 p.m. at the White Community Memorial Chapel (150 E. 300 North - directly across from the state capitol). Miller, Edwin Wayne Edwin Wayne Miller "Gone Fishing" FARR WEST Edwin Wayne Miller, 87, died Sunday, October 24, 2004 at his home of congestive heart failure. He was born October 12, 1917 in Cook, Nebraska, to William Dale and Mabel Peterson Miller. Ed married Lora Mae Rathe on December 5, 1937. They lived in Nebraska until 1947 when they first moved to Idaho, then on to Utah, Arizona and back home to Utah for his last few years. Ed and Lora were married for 66 years and were blessed with four beautiful children. He was very proud of his family and dearly loved his wife. They were extremely devoted to each other and stuck together through good times and bad. Ed worked at Karman Kitchens in Salt Lake City for 28 years where he made many friends. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Ed enjoyed square dancing, making rock jewelry, traveling in the motor home with his wife and all of their Good Sam Friends, and had a real passion for fishing. He is survived by his loving wife, their children: Harlan Dale (Lillian), Chester Wayne (Brandi), Janice (Terry) Hogensen and Deborah (Michael) Scott; 15 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Willard Miller and a very special brother-in-law, August Rathe. He served his country in World War II as a PFC in the Asiatic Pacific Campaign. He was active in scouting for many years when he was younger. Mulliner, Janet Crawford Woodruff Janet Crawford Woodruff Mulliner 1926 ~2004 Janet Crawford Woodruff Mulliner, age 77, passed away on Oct. 27, 2004. Janet was born on December 4, 1926, in Salt Lake City, Utah, born to Alta Crawford and Douglas Woodruff. An East High School (Salt Lake City, UT) graduate, Janet continued her education earning a BA in English from the University of Utah and an MA in retail merchandising from New York University. Janet was a member of the Chi Omega sorority. Janet married Ted Mulliner on August 25, 1950. They moved to Boston where Ted completed his final year at Harvard Law School. Upon Ted's graduation in 1951, they returned to Salt Lake City, then moved to the San Francisco Bay area to pursue Ted's law practice. Together they raised four children and made significant contributions to the community. Janet was always active in the PTA, various church organizations, and the Allied Arts Guild in Atherton, CA. Janet loved literature, fine arts, theater, music, flower arranging, collecting antiques, gardening, and long walks. She and Ted traveled worldwide and shared an insatiable curiosity that engaged them together throughout their lives. Janet was energetically devoted to her children and grandchildren. Characteristically modest and reserved, Janet was passionate and untiring when it came to causes she believed in. She had a great sense of humor, a ready laugh and a smile that warmed those close to her until the last days of her life. Janet was preceded in death by her husband (1992) and is survived by her sister Susan Woodruff; her children: Laurie Mulliner Connor (Salt Lake City); Kiki (Janet) Mulliner (New York); Mimi Mulliner (Curt) McNeely, (Park City); and James Mulliner (Salt Lake City); and seven grandchildren: Edward (Ted) Johnson, Katherine Johnson, Katie Connor, Allie Connor, Lauren McNeely, Bradley McNeely and Erin McNeely. Stillman, Leland Garn Leland Garn Stillman 1921 ~2004 Leland Garn Stillman, loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, brother and friend passed away on October 27, 2004 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was 83 years of age.He was born May 16, 1921, in Salt Lake City, UT to Joseph Julian Stillman and Emma Osguthorpe Stillman. He married Neva Gene Lemmon on May 4, 1945. Together they celebrated 58 years of marriage. Neva preceded him in death on Oct. 1, 2003. Leland served as a paratrooper with D Company, 501st Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division (Screaming Eagles) in World War II and fought in the D-Day invasion and the Battle of the Bulge. He was wounded twice in action in France and Belgium. He was decorated with a Combat Infantry Badge, Parachutist's Badge, Distinguished Unit Badge with one Bronze Cluster, American Theater Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Purple Heart with one Oak Leaf Cluster (signifying second award), European African Middle Eastern Campaign Ribbon with Three Bronze Stars, and the World War II Victory Medal. He was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans. Leland was an employee of Mountain Fuel Supply Company for 30 years as well as operating a television repair business for many years. He received so much enjoyment from his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and supported them in their many endeavors. He was an avid fisherman for many years and enjoyed traveling with numerous friends. He is survived by daughters Candie (Tom) Angelos, Denise (Dan) Richins; grandchildren Staci (Paul) Bernhisel, Tommy and Zack Angelos, Amy (Brian) Oliver and Danica (Brian) Brooks; great-grandchildren Alexis, Madison and Tyler Bernhisel, Colby and Caden Angelos, and soon to be born baby boy Oliver. Leland is also survived by his sister Lilian and brothers Sterling and Clifton. He was preceded in death by his wife Neva, parents, brothers Milton and Darwin, and sisters Margaret and Gwendolyn. The family would like to thank the staff of the VA Hospital for all of their efforts in trying to restore Leland's health. Also, our heartfelt appreciation to the doctors, nurses, and aids at the Residence of CareSource Hospice for their loving and compassionate care for Leland and his family.
