Brown, Harold L.
Harold L. Brown 1914 ~ 2005 Harold L. Brown, 90 beloved husband, father and
grandfather passed away April 20, 2005. He was born July 31, 1914 in Carbon
County, UT. He proudly served his country in World War II and was awarded the
Purple Heart. He worked 32 years for The Utah Dept. of Transportation. His
favorite times were spent with his family, who will dearly miss him and his
quick wit. He married Rose Butkovich in 1951 (deceased). Married Dorothy
Uffens Thompson in 1985. Survived by wife, Dorothy; son, Rick (Paula) Brown;
daughter, Kathy (Dave) Chappell; grandchildren, Nikki (Shaun), Randy, Krissi
(Simeon), Cory and Brady, Dorothy's children Carol (Charlie) Alvey, Paul
(Annette) Thompson and eight grandchildren. The family will receive visitors
Friday, April 22, 2005 from 12:45 - 1:45 p.m. at Holladay Cottonwood Mortuary
located at 4670 So. Highland Dr. Graveside services to follow (approx 2 p.m.
at Valley View Cemetery located at 4335 West 4100 So.

Callister Jr., Arthur Armitage Needham
Arthur Armitage Needham Callister, Jr. A Friend To All Arthur A. Callister, at
age 82, left this world on April 19, 2005. Art did not want to give up living,
which was usual for his determination and persistence throughout his life. He
died from complications of age and dementia. Art was born in Salt Lake City,
Utah, and was the second child of four born to Arthur A. Callister, Sr. and
Alverda Reid. Art married Miriam Fitzgerald (deceased) in the Salt Lake
Temple. They had six children: Allen (deceased), Joan (deceased), Linda
(deceased), Edward, Mary Ann and David. He has 13 grandchildren and five
great-grandchildren. Art grew up on the family farm on Redwood Rd. He learned
how to care for animals and enjoy the livestock and horses. Art played
professional tennis and served in the Navy during World War II. After the war,
Art worked for Utah Construction in the bookkeeping department. It was here
that the spirit of this successful businessman emerged, and Art soon left this
employment. In 1952 Art and his father started trading wool. The business grew
to include selling livestock supplies. Art's father retired a few years later
and Art was on his own. With his hard work and great people skills, the store
continued to grow. He added horse tack, clothing, boots and hats to his
inventory. As Art's children grew, they were brought in and taught lessons of
life through the business. In 1995 Art tried to retire in St. George, Utah,
however it was short lived and he opened a second store with a great friend,
Dennis Butler, in Utah's Dixie. A third store was later opened in South
Jordan. Art enjoyed riding in the Palomino Posse Horse Club, and riding horses
out on the trail with his family and friends. Art rode his horse with pride as
the Grand Marshall at the Days of '47 All Horse Parade in 1996. He enjoyed
working on the Days of '47 Rodeo Committee for over 15 years. He also loved to
dance, and said that he was too young to take up golfing at the age of 80.
Most of all, Art loved to socialize with his customers, friends and business
associates. Art was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints. He had various callings, but the one he remembers the most was working
with the Boy Scouts, and the eight day trip he took with 32 horses and 25
scouts to Mirror Lake in the Uinta Mountains. This is a trip the boys will
never forget. Dad had a great time and was tired for a month or two
afterwards. Thanks to all of Dad's acquaintances and friends for sharing your
lives with him. Also, thank you to the staff at Alta Ridge Alzheimer's and
Rocky Mountain Hospice for their care and compassion shown to Art in his last
days here on earth. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 23, 2005, 11
a.m., at the Monument Park 20th Ward, 2795 E. Crestview Dr. (1010 S, Southeast
of Hogle Zoo). Friends may visit Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Larkin
Sunset Lawn, 2350 E. 1300 S. (one block East of Foothill Blvd.), and one hour
prior to services at the ward. Burial will be in the Salt Lake City Cemetery,
4th Avenue and 'N' Street.

Christensen, Ray L.
Ray L. Christensen 1920 ~ 2005 Ray. L. Christensen was born on September 26th
1920, in Richfield, Utah. He passed away peacefully in Pleasant Hill,
California on April, 18th, 2005. He is survived by his daughters Connie Grover
(Michael), Concord, California and Anna Lea Kantor (Howard), Northampton,
Massachusetts. He is also survived by seven grandchildren: Lisa Crockett,
Deborah Easton, Benjamin Grover, Laura Bailey, Kathryn Grover, Gabriel Kantor,
and Alexander Kantor, and nine great-grandchildren. His beloved wife, Doris,
preceded him in death. Ray spent his growing up years in Richfield where he
was the youngest child of Orson and Josephine Christensen. As a young man, he
attended Brigham Young University for a short time before serving an LDS
mission to the North Central States. After his mission, he served in the Army
during World War II. Upon returning from military service he married Doris A.
Christensen on June 15, 1946. In 1969 their marriage was solemnized in the
Salt Lake Temple. Ray graduated from the University of Utah in 1949 with a
degree in electrical engineering. After graduating, he was hired by Mountain
Bell where he worked until his retirement in 1982. Ray was an active member of
the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He had many callings and
always tried to do his best. He also loved to sing in the ward choir, and he
enjoyed music. He was a true "Utah man" in every respect. He was a long-time
member of the Crimson Club, and a great Utes fan. He also did volunteer work
for the Telephone Pioneers, a telephone company service organization. As his
health declined, the members of his ward were a great help and comfort to him.
In December of 2004, he moved closer to his daughter in California, but his
heart never left Utah. He has come home to stay. Visitors may call on Friday
evening, April 22, from 6-8 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland
Drive. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2005, at 11 a.m.
at the East Millcreek 2nd Ward, 3750 South Hillside Lane. A viewing will be
held one hour prior to services. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made
to Primary Children's Hospital, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints Missionary Fund, or the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Christensen, Robert Heppler
Robert H. Christensen 1935 ~ 2005 Robert Heppler Christensen, born May 3,
1935, Salt Lake City. Son of Harold C. Christensen and Ellen Heppler. Died
April 14, 2005, in Santa Clara, CA after a battle with metastatic cancer.
Robert served an LDS Mission to France. He worked for 49 years as an
electronics technician. Survived by his wife Bernadette, of Santa Clara, CA;
daughter, Stephanie, of Chico, CA; father, Harold C. Christensen Salt Lake
City; sister, Elaine Gale, St. Anthony; brothers, Martin, Denver; Allen and
sister, Diane, West Valley City. Funeral services will be held at Wilford 2nd
Ward, 3179 Highland Drive, 1 p.m. April 21, 2005. Interment: Murray City
Cemetery.

Cook, Jacob Earl
Jacob Earl Cook 1981 ~ 2005 Jacob Earl Cook 23, died Monday, April 18, 2005,
in Evanston, WY. He was born on May 19, 1981 in Murray, Utah to Marlin Boyd
and Cindy Joann (Jones) Cook. He married Fawna Lee Eastman on March 25, 2005.
Jacob was a member of the Evanston Fire Department and served on the board of
the Gun Club. He loved hunting, trap shooting, and taxidermy. He is survived
by his wife, Fawna Cook, of Evanston, Wyoming; parents, Marlin and Cindy Cook,
of Evanston, Wyoming; grandparents, Earl and Nadene Cook and Joann and Darrel
Jones. He is also survived by brothers; Matt Cook, and James Cook. He was
preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Kip Eastman. Funeral Services will be
held at the Evanston High School auditorium Sat, April 23, 2005 at 11 a.m.
Friends may call at Crandall Funeral Home, Friday, April 22, 2005 from 6 p.m.
until 8 p.m. Interment will be in the Evanston City Cemetery. Arrangements
under the direction of Crandall Funeral Home.

Crandall, JoAnn Kaye Stott
Joann Kaye Stott Crandall 1965 ~ 2005 JoAnn Kaye Stott Crandall, 39, of Orem,
Utah passed away peacefully at home on Monday, April 18, 2005. She was born
July 10, 1965, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Her parents were Karl J and Geneva N.
Stott. She married Vernon Lee Crandall in the Salt Lake Temple on June 8,
1988. They are the parents of three sons: Garion, Bradon and Noland. She was
educated in the Salt Lake and Provo schools, later graduating from BYU. She
served an LDS mission to Brazil. She was a very talented and creative person.
She was a member of the Utah County Quilt Guild and created many beautiful
quilts. She had the ability to put together colors and fabrics in such a way
that they would sing. She was also an excellent quilting teacher. She was
talented in many other crafts as well. She was proficient at cross stitching
and working with warm glass. Lately she was involved with creating many
beautiful items with beads. She had many friends who loved her. She was a good
listener. She was always willing to help other people. She was able to talk to
anyone and had a knack of putting others at ease. She had great relationships
with her sons and wanted them to succeed. She worried about them and her
husband more than herself and wanted her sons to be courteous and polite. She
is survived by her husband and three sons. She is also survived by her brother
Allen Karl Stott (Dianna) and her sister Barbara Jean Stott. She was preceded
in death by her father, Karl J Stott, and her mother, Geneva Amaryllis Noland
Stott. Funeral services will be held in the Northridge 4th Ward, 165 East 1780
North, Orem, Utah (turn North at 210 East off of 1600 North in Orem) at 11:00
a.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2005. The viewing will be at Berg Mortuary (185
East Center Street) in Provo from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday evening and
at the Church from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.

Davis, Benny Reese
Benny Reese Davis 1934 ~ 2005 Benny Reese Davis passed away April 18, 2005 in
Salt Lake City, UT. Born December 30, 1934 in Downey, Idaho to Reynold and
Leona Thompson Davis. He was educated in Virginia and Downey, Idaho. Enlisted
in the US Navy and served during the Korean Conflict in the Persian Gulf area.
He was honorably discharged and made his home in Salt Lake City where he
married Sally Coutta July 6, 1956 in the Salt Lake Temple. They were blessed
with five children: Ronald (Deb), Scott (Nadene), Tim, Benton D. (Jennifer)
and Charlynn (Brandon) James. They were later divorced. He married Karen Sue
Luce and they had two sons: B.J. and Bradley; later divorced. He worked many
years for Monroc and then started his own business, Bonneville Welding and
later Benny R. Davis Trucking Co. He enjoyed fishing, boating, flying and
motorcycling. His grandchildren always brought a special glow to his face. He
is survived by children; 13 grandchildren; six great-grand-children; sisters:
Gwen Jackson, Lois Anderson and Cherol (Clifford) Abbott; brothers, Van
(Lois), Max (Cecily), Perry and Clark (Marci). Preceded in death by sister,
Yvonne Davis; brother, Emerson Davis. Funeral services will be held Saturday,
10 a.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S. Redwood Road where a viewing will be
held Friday, 6-8 p.m. and Saturday, 9-9:45 a.m. prior to service. Interment,
Downey Cemetery, Downey, Idaho.

Dunn, Jayson Leon
Jayson Leon Dunn 1970 ~ 2005 TREMONTON - Jayson Leon Dunn, surrounded by
friends and family members, was reunited with his earthly and Heavenly Father
due to complications from pneumonia on Tuesday, April 19, 2005. He was born on
November 10, 1970 in Pocatello, Idaho, son of L. Glade and Geneal Dunn. He
married the love of his life and soul mate, Mary Lynn Hubbard on April 9, 2004
in Alpine, Utah. Jayson will be remembered as never making an enemy and only
knew good friends, better friends and best friends. He loved rock climbing,
Sunday morning pillow fights with his daughters, hunting with his Dad,
exploring the desert and anything with a little hint of danger. He is survived
by his loving wife, Mary; his daughters, Tiery, Acia, and Rikki; his parents,
John and Geneal Dunn Newman; one sister, Kristina (Shane) Norr; two brothers,
Duane (CarrieAnn) Newman of Pleasant Grove and James Newman of Alpine;
sisters, Cheryl Newman of Brazil; Deanna (Kevin) Dahlhauser of Elko; Carolyn
Selin of West Valley City; Christina Newman of Salt Lake City; Amy (Nick)
Clements of Clearfield; and Heidi (Buck) Gould of Alpine. He was preceded in
death by his father, Leon Glade Dunn. Services will be held Saturday, April
23, 2005 at 2 p.m. at the 3rd /8th /12th Ward Church located at 9590 North
6800 West, Tremonton. Family and friends may call from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
at the church prior to the funeral. Interment will be at the Garland Cemetery.

Eastmond, Jefferson Nicholls
Jefferson Nicholls Eastmond 1922 ~ 2005 Jefferson Nicholls Eastmond died on
April 19, 2005 of natural causes. Born to Frank Hindley Eastmond and Clarissa
Taylor on October 20, 1922 in Salt Lake City, Utah. While growing up, Jeff
attended school in Salt Lake City and spent his summers at the family-owned
Saratoga Resort where he met his wife, Alberta Van Wagoner. They were married
in Oceanside, CA on May 15, 1945 prior to Jeff's departure to serve as a
Marine in the Pacific theater. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt
Lake LDS Temple on November 20, 1946. They were happily married for 58 years,
raising their six children. Alberta passed away June 10, 2003. Jeff later
married Elaine Cleveland Moody on October 11, 2003, who was his faithful
companion until his death. After receiving his doctorate in Education from
Columbia University, Jeff taught education administration at Columbia, Utah
State University and BYU. Subsequent work in international education took Jeff
and Alberta on extended overseas assignments to Turkey, Nigeria, Pakistan,
Trinidad and China. They also served an LDS mission to the Dominican Republic.
A kind, thoughtful, and generous man with a great sense of humor, Jeff's
creative contributions began with his family and extended to many nations and
peoples. These encompassed educational, temporal, and spiritual dimensions.
Survived by his wife, Elaine, six children; Nick (Irene) Eastmond, Logan; Anna
Clare (Earl) Shepherd, Salt Lake City; Janice (Bruce) Hathaway, Provo; Becky
(Bob) Cushing, Salt Lake City; Dan (Annie) Eastmond, Salt Lake City; David
(Elizabeth) Eastmond, Riverside, CA; four step-children: Karleen (Tom) Tutton,
Springfield, MO; Michelle (Paul) Wilding, Sandy; Leslie (Richard) Ehlert,
Orem; Daryn (Coleen) Moody, Payson; 57 grandchildren and 50
great-grandchildren. Jeff was preceded in death by his sister Jean Eastmond
Gordon; brothers Frank (Tay) Eastmond, Richard (Dick) Eastmond, Robert (Mick)
Eastmond; and step son-in-law, Dustin Moody, and granddaughter, Rachel
Eastmond. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 23, 2005 1:00 p.m. at
the Parley's 3rd Ward, 2615 E. Stringham Ave. (2287 So.) where friends may
call Saturday morning from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the church prior to
services. A celebration of Jeff's life will be held Friday afternoon, April

Fallentine, Lois Hansen
Lois Hansen Fallentine "She did it her way." Grandma Lo left this world to
join her son Doug in the next world on April I7 2005. Lois was born in Salt
Lake City on March 20, 1931, to Emma Smith and Julius Hansen. She was the
fifth of seven children and the eldest of the "three little girls." Lois is
survived by: her children, David Charles Merrell and Kristine Merrell Rogers
(William Benge); her grandsons, Benjamin Harvey Merrell, Orion Merrell Rogers,
Jordan Charles Merrell and Ross Douglas Merrell; her children in law, AJ
Rogers, Laurie Rogers Merrell and Corie Ross Merrell; her siblings: Emma
Allgier, Robert Hansen, Wanda Ahlstrom and Beth (Ken) Burns, and her many
nieces, nephews and friends whom she loved dearly. Lois was preceded in death
by her parents, her brothers Dell and Andy and her son Douglas Harvey Merrell.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff on "Four
North" at University Hospital, particularly nurses Mike, Zinel and Gladys.
Graveside services will be held, Friday, April 22, 2005 at 11:00 a.m., Wasatch

Fielden, Richard Clark
Richard Clark Fielden 1925 ~ 2005 Richard Clark Fielden, beloved son, husband,
father, grandfather, brother and uncle, age 79, passed away April 19, 2005.
Born September 1, 1925 in Salt Lake City, UT to Charles Emerson and Florence
Clark Fielden. Served in World War II in the Asian Pacific Theater on the
aircraft carrier USS Lexington. Married Carol Pascoe on Dec. 16, 1949 in the
Salt Lake Temple. Carol waited for him while he served an LDS mission to
Denmark. Dick was a faithful church member throughout his life and held many
callings in which he served willingly. His entire working career, 35 yrs, was
at EIMCO. He worked as welder, foreman and field service engineer. Survived by
wife; sons, Michael (Evon), Brian (Ann); daughters, Elaine, Linda (David)
Hurst, Susan all of Utah; seven grandson, eight granddaughters, eight
great-grandchildren; brother, Don (Glennae); sisters, Lila, Connie (Dennis)
Mason. One grandson Quinten Hurst preceded him in death. Special thanks to
Maralee and Zachary, Deborah, Amy, Debbie of Care Source Hospice. Also Cindy
and Vicky from the VA Hospital. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April
23, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Douglas Ward, 721 South 1200 East, Salt Lake City.

Fleischer, Beatrice
Beatrice Fleischer "Our Beloved Friend" Beatrice Fleischer, our beloved
friend, passed away at her home April 18, 2005 after a short illness. Born
July 25, 1925 in Douglas, Arizona. The names of her birth parents are unknown.
She was adopted shortly after birth and moved with her adoptive parents, the
Fleischer's, to Jamaica Long Island, New York where she was raised. She
retired from K-Mart after 30 plus years of service and at the time of her
death she was a loyal, proud employee of Lowes where she will be dearly missed
by the other employees. Bea was a very special friend to Robyn and Shelley,
and oh yes, her dog "Boomer". Graveside service will be held Saturday, April
23, 2005, 10:00 a.m. at the Taylorsville Cemetery, 4500 South Redwood Road.
Under the direction of McDougal Funeral Home. Life will never be the same
without her. We will always love you Bea.

Belva Bridges Simonson Hansen 3/17/1920 ~ 4/20/2005 Belva Bridges Simonson
Hansen, age 85, passed away April 20, 2005 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Belva was
born March 17, 1920 in Porterville, Ut. to William and Lenna Bridges. She
married Arthur Simonson, they divorced and she later married Mark C. Hansen
Jan. 10, 1980. She is survived by her husband, Mark; daughters, RaNae (Dan)
Garber, Karren Nielsen, Janet (Charles) Major, Vickie (Jon) Hug and JoAnn
(Scott) Cornia; son, Brent (Margaret) Simonson; step-son, Ray (Laura) Hansen;
sisters, Vila Harmon and Phyllis Rogers; 13 grandchildren, 23 great
grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her
parents, brother, Lynn, sister, Mary and granddaughter, Lisa. Graveside
Services will be held Friday, April 22nd at 12:00 noon at Valley View Memorial
Park, 4400 West 4100 South, West Valley City.

Hatch, Tim Leon
Tim Leon Hatch 1961 ~ 2005 God saw the road was getting rough and hills were
hard to climb. And he closed your weary eyelids and whispered "Peace be
Thine". Tim Leon Hatch, 43, passed away April 19, 2005 at his Salt Lake home.
He was born November 8, 1961 in West Valley City to Charles I. and Helen G.
Hatch. Tim worked for Cyprus Credit Union. Utah Central Credit Union and
American Investment where he excelled. After a 17-year battle with diabetes
Tim has returned home to the loving arms of his Heavenly Father where he will
be free of pain. He will be missed greatly by his family and friends but
mostly his dogs. Tim loved his yard and gardening, family gatherings and long
trips with the dogs in the motor home. He will always be known for his sense
of humor. He loved his 100-year-old home, which has been spotlighted in local
media for its unique beauty and surroundings. He was a gentle and kind spirit
we will love and miss you Tim! Tim is survived by his best friend and partner
of 20 years, Chuck; mother Helen Hatch; sisters Barbara Hatch, Janet Jensen
(Hatch), Sylvia (Dan) Bowers and Sally (Mike) Sadler; brothers Chick (Jackie)
Hatch, Marvin (Kathy) Hatch, Doug Hatch and Cory (Collette) Hatch. He is
preceded in death by his father Charles Hatch, Stacie Bowers (niece) and Dee
Hatch (sister-in-law). Friends may call Saturday, April 23, 2005 from

Heiner, Geraldine M.
Geraldine M. Heiner 1938 ~ 2005 Geraldine McKissick Heiner (Jerrie), our
loving mother, grandmother and friend, passed away April 18, 2005 following a
short illness. She was 66 years of age. She will be remembered for her deep
love of family, friends, dogs, golf and travel. Jerrie was a great admirer of
Golden Retrievers. She spent many years with her husband traveling, training,
competing and judging in the sport of Field Trial, where she owned and handled
some of the finest competitive Goldens of all-time. Much to everyone's
surprise, she trained and trialed her own successful black lab. She also
enjoyed spending time with family and friends at her ranch in the mountains of
Idaho. Jerry was born May 9, 1938 in Park City, Utah to Emmett R. And Zelpha
McKissick. She married Stanley L. Heiner on August 7, 1956. She was preceded
in death by her loving husband and her father. She is survived by her
children, Cynthia A. Heiner Swenson (Joseph), Scott M. Heiner (Diane),
Jacqueline J. Bench (Brad) and Raelynn Heiner, her mother Zelpha McKissick,
sister Beverly Melluls, brother Gary McKissick and seven much beloved
grandchildren. Our mother will be profoundly missed and held in our hearts
always. A graveside service will be held Friday, April 22, 2005, at 1 p.m. at
Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 Highland Drive. Family and friends may call
at Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary, 2350 East 1300 South, Thursday evening from 6

Hill, Helen
Helen Hill 1924 ~ 2005 Helen Hill, 80, of Salt Lake City died April 13, 2005.
She was born August 29, 1924 to Winnipeg, Canada to Stefan and Yustyna
Kolisnyk Yacentuik. Helen married John V. "Jack" Hill. He died September 1,
1997. She worked as a waitress at the Alta Club and the Hotel Utah. She was
devoted to her husband, Jack. She loved children. She was gregarious and fun
loving, with a great sense of humor. She is survived by eight sisters, Silvia
Cybuliak of Selkirk, Manitoba; Jean Clarke; Ann Knott; Natalie Longtin; Sandra
Yacentiuk; Dianne Yacentiuk; all of Toronto, Ontario; Ollie Guinness of
Richmond, British Columbia; and Adele Smiley of Elma, Wash. And several nieces
and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters. A special
thanks to Helen's friends at Millcreek Village Apartments, especially John.
Graveside services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Calvary Catholic
Cemetery, 4th Avenue and T Street. Funeral Directors, Neil O'Donnell and Sons.

Hughes, Daniel Joseph
Daniel Joseph Hughes 1961 ~ 2005 Beloved husband and father Daniel passed away
suddenly in a traffic vehicle rollover accident on April 18, two days after
his 44th birthday. Dan was born April 16, 1961 in Philadelphia, PA. He was the
youngest of seven children born of parents James and Marie Hughes. He is
survived by his wife Kimber and son nine year old Patrick Ryan Hughes. He also
leaves behind his mother Marie, three brothers: Tom, Michael, Chuck and two
sisters: Kathy and Missy, all from Philadelphia. He was preceded in death by
his father, sister Peggy and his niece, Kristin Hughes. Dan was a veteran and
served in the army. For many years Dan was a reservoir keeper and managed Lake
Hodges in San Diego County. He recently moved to Utah to begin a new phase in
his life. He was a certified EMT and was enrolled at the Stevens-Henager
Business College to fulfill a lifelong dream of becoming a nurse. He was a
lifelong member of the Catholic Church. Dan lived his life to the fullest. He
loved his family and adored his son. He will be greatly missed. Funeral
services will be held Saturday, April 23, 2005 at 12 noon at Wasatch Lawn
Mortuary, 3401 S. Highland Dr, where friends may call one hour prior.
Interment will be in Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.

Jensen, Mary Carole
Mary Carole Jensen 1947 ~ 2005 Born June 4, 1947 to Stewart and Mary Pearson.
She married Alan Jensen. They later divorced. They had four daughters. She was
very talented in art works, sewing, and crafts. She had a sweet personality
and made friends easily. Mary dearly loved her children. You have not gone
alone because you took a piece of all of our hearts with you. Be happy
sweetheart, we all loved you. Mary is survived by her mother and father Mary
and Stewart Pearson, daughters: Michelle (Billy) Brutsman, Cheyenne, Wyoming;
Kelly (Vern) Jensen, Salt Lake; Brandy (Aaron) Poulsen, Salt Lake; and Jamie
Ainsworth as well as six grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, three
sisters, Darla Rae Christensen, West Jordan, Utah; Shauna (Ron) White, West
Valley, Utah; and Colleen (Roger) Nichols, West Valley; her brother Stewart E.
(Linda) Pearson, Salt Lake City. Funeral services will be Saturday, 11:00
a.m., April 23, 2005 at Garner Funeral Home, 1001 11th Avenue. Friends may
call Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday one hour prior to services.

Marrelli, Aurelia
Aurelia Marrelli 1924 ~ 2005 Our dear mother and grandmother, Aurelia Helmann
Marrelli, passed away April 19, 2005 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born
June 27, 1924 in Richardton, North Dakota to Barbara and Anton Helmann. She
was the youngest of eight children. At 22 she married Joseph L. Marrelli who
preceded her in death in 1989. Aurelia was a member of the Cathedral of the
Madeleine Catholic Church. She enjoyed working for ZCMI and retired after 24
years. Aurelia also took pleasure in creating crocheted afghans, in reading,
in homemaking, and was especially passionate about cooking for her family. Her
greatest love was for her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her
children, Anthony (Susan), Randy (Nora), and Jody. Also her grandchildren,
Jennifer, Nicholas, and Joey, and great- grandson, Roman. She was preceded in
death by her parents, siblings, husband, and granddaughter, Gina. A funeral
mass will be celebrated Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the Cathedral of the
Madeleine, 331 East South Temple. A vigil service will be held Sunday at 7:00
p.m. at Neil O'Donnell and Sons Mortuary, 372 E. 100 S., where friends may

Martin, Kathlyn S.
Kathlyn S. Martin 1949 ~ 2005 Our strong, beautiful, wife, mother, daughter,
sister, aunt and friend to all, Kathlyn Snow Martin, was called home Friday
April 15, 2005. Kathlyn passed away at home in Park City, Utah after an
eighteen-year battle with breast cancer. Kathlyn never ceased to amaze us all
with her courage and strength, and her vibrant love of life touched so many
people on her journey here on earth. Once again she is running, hiking and
playing in the sunshine, as she loved to do. Kathlyn was born January 30, 1949
in Berkeley, California, the daughter of Blaine and Muriel Snow. She was
raised in the Bay Area along side her two sisters, Jan Burch and Leslie
McMorris. She married Robert Charles Martin on April 28, 1979 in Piedmont,
California and together they had two daughters, Jessie and Jenna. Kathlyn,
Bob, Jessie and Jenna relocated to Park City in 1997 where she celebrated life
through hiking, running and exploring the beautiful landscape of the Wasatch
Mountains. Kathlyn lived life to the fullest through her family and friends.
As a personal trainer she inspired and motivated many to follow her on the
path to a healthy and spiritually fulfilled life. Bob, Jessie and Jenna wish
to express special thanks to the many family and wonderful friends who
supported Kathlyn throughout her valiant fight. The love and compassion was a
constant comfort to her and her family. Kathlyn is survived by her loving
parents Blaine and Muriel Snow; her daughters Jessie and Jenna, whom she gave
the world to; and her love and husband, Bob. She is also survived by her very
special sisters, Jan and Leslie and their families, as well as her extended
family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, April 24, 2005,
12:00 p.m. at the Saint Mary's Catholic Church on the corner of Highway 224
and White Pine Canyon in Park City, Utah. In lieu of flowers, donations may be
sent to the Kathlyn Snow Martin Memorial Fund at the Park City Wells Fargo
Branch. All proceeds will be donated to the Image Reborn Foundation and Women
Beyond Cancer, two local organizations that supported Kathlyn.

2005 in Tooele, Utah. Funeral Services will be held Friday April 22, 2005 at

Kristyn Newton 1983~2005 Kristyn Nicole Newton, age 21, has chosen a higher
place and left this earth April 18, 2005. She was born May 3, 1983 in Provo,
Utah to Kristy Jo Allen and Steven Rowe Newton. She excelled in many sports.
She loved art, painting and creativity. She influenced many people through her
creativity. She is survived by fianc , Steve Francis; parents; brother, Aaron;
grandparents, aunts, uncles and many cousins. Graveside services will be held
at 2:30 p.m. Friday, April 22, 2005 at the Mona Cemetery under the direction

Olsen, Ann Elizabeth
Ann Elizabeth Olsen 8/21/20 ~ 4/19/05 Ann Elizabeth Olsen passed away on April
19, 2005. She was born on August 21, 1920 in Salt Lake City, Utah to James and
Anna Buma Stockfish. She married Arley Robbins Olsen on Aug 1, 1942. "Annie"
was a fun loving, caring wife, mom, sister, and aunt who enjoyed her family,
home, garden, patio swing and flowers. Full of determination and strength, she
bravely overcame many health challenges over the years without complaining.
Her family and friends knew she was always willing to listen and provide
comfort when they came to her with problems. In her later years, she was
tenderly cared for at home by her husband, allowing her to remain where she
was most comfortable and happy. She is survived by her loving husband of
almost 63 years, Arley; daughter, Dorothy Olsen Wright (Mike); granddaughter,
Trisha Wright McDaniel (Andy); great-grand-children, Perry and Maisie; sister,
Helen Smith; as well as countless brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and
nephews. Graveside services will be held Friday, April 22, 2005 at 2 p.m. at
Redwood Memorial Cemetery with a visitation two hours prior at Redwood
Memorial Mortuary, 6500 S. Redwood Rd, West Jordan. Her family and friends
will miss her but will cherish their special memories of their times with her.

Jessie Raymond Radcliffe 4/4/84 ~ 4/17/05 BOUNTIFUL- Jessie Raymond Radcliffe,
born April 4, 1984, passed away April 17, 2005. Jessie should be remembered
for his unselfish, courageous battle with Muscular Dystrophy with the pain and
discomfort that was a constant, daily battle for him. He was graceful and
loyal and worried about others before himself. His service will be held at
3:00 p.m., Friday, April 23, 2005 at the Bountiful 3rd Ward Chapel, 51 South
Main Street, Bountiful, Utah.

Rask, Annie Darlene Lowe
Annie Darlene Lowe Rask 1937 ~ 2005 Our beloved mother has left us to return
to her parents and loved ones that have gone before. Born September 28, 1937
to Grant Almer Lowe and Elizabeth Charlotta Kramer Lowe. She passed away on
April 18, 2005. Her love of animals was a gift to all around her, and her cats
will miss her dearly. In lieu of flowers, Family requests that a charitable
donation be made to an organization for the protection and care of animals.
She has left behind two sons, Ken and Jim, seven grandchildren, five
great-grandchildren; sister Janace, and two brothers, John and Jim. She also

Rowley, Shirley H.
Shirley H. Rowley 1922 ~ 2005 Shirley Henderson Rowley, mother, aunt and
friend, returned to her Father in Heaven on April 15, 2005. Shirley was the
third daughter born to Alma John and Janet Smith Henderson on October 15,
1922. Shirley has been suffering from Alzheimer's for over 10 years and was
living at the Alta Infinia Health Care Center at her passing. She lived at the
Millcreek Heath Center for nine years prior. Shirley grew up and lived most of
her life in Draper, Utah on Relation Street. There she and her four sisters
worked and played on the family farm and raised chickens. Shirley spent her
life caring and giving to others. Shirley had a wonderful sense of humor right
until the end of her life. She loved shopping, singing, traveling, bowling,
golfing, dancing and raising beautiful flowers. Shirley worked for JayLynn
Studios as an award winning child photographer, for Replicolor as a
photo-retouch lab technician, and First Security Bank as a keypunch operator.
Preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Lorna Moore, Lova Carter and Betty
Henderson. She is survived by her cherished son, David R. Rowley Jr.; sister,
Dorothy Judd (Tom); 13 nieces and nephews. A memorial to her life will be held
Friday, April 22, 2005, at 12 noon at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Street. A
private family viewing will be held 30 minutes prior to services. Interment
will be at Draper City Cemetery. A very special thanks to the Alta Infinia
Health Care Center and the Millcreek Health Center.

Shelby, Frank Frederick
Frank Frederick Shelby 1953 ~ 2005 Frank Frederick Shelby died peacefully,
surrounded by family, April 17, 2005, at the Washoe Medical Center in Reno,
Nevada. Frank was born in Powell, Wyoming, June 8, 1953 to Samuel G. and Joyce
C. Shelby. He lived most of his life in Wyoming where he enjoyed the outdoors,
especially fishing in mountain streams. Frank was a talented musician and had
a wonderful sense of humor. Frank was an excellent salesman and a kind friend
with a presence that filled any room he entered. He will be missed by family
and friends. Frank is survived by his son, Justin Shelby (Rita), daughters
Jamie Urruty (Terry) and Jodie Kasteler (Jeff); beloved grandchildren Katie,
Jaden, Jackson and James; his parents; grandmother Thelma Churchill; siblings
Jean Hales (Arne), Jane Shelby, John Shelby (Brenda) and Sam Shelby; and many
nieces and nephews. His family will scatter Frank's ashes near his favorite
fishing stream in Wyoming. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a
contribution to the American Diabetes Association.

Jerry Lee Stroup 1941 ~ 2005 Our beloved father, grandfather and
great-grandfather, Jerry Lee Stroup, 63, passed away suddenly on Sunday, April
17, 2005. He was born on December 22, 1941 in Gas City, Kansas to George Keith
and Violet Marie Keele Stroup. After serving in the US Navy as a midshipman
and sonarboy, he received a BSEE from the University of Texas at Arlington and
an MBA from the University of Phoenix. He was an Electronic Engineer
Consultant. Jerry is survived by his children Jamey Lee Stroup, Janie "Sissi"
Fuhrig, Jerry Stroup, Jeremy Stroup, Joshua Stroup and Jeremiah Stroup. He is
also survived by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren Mia, Derek, Alorra,
Jinna, Michael, Jesika, Dillon, Trevor, Jamye, Savanna and Syerra. Funeral

Thayne, Frank Margetts
Frank M. Thayne 1958 ~ 2005 Frank Margetts Thayne was born on September 28,
1958 in Salt Lake City to Frank Margetts Thayne and Anna Louise Thayne, died
April 17, 2005 due to his life-long struggles with addiction. Frank will be
remembered for his fun-loving spirit, beautiful smile, laughter, unending
charm, love of animals and children, fishing at Strawberry and his deep
compassion and love for others in his own quest for recovery. He leaves behind
his many friends at the Alana Club, especially Roger and Jerrie, and brothers
Dave, John (Julie) Latter, nephews, Brett and Brandon Latter. A memorial
service in honor of his life and all that he gave will be held at the Alano

Thomas, Geraldine Marie Cooper
Geraldine Marie Cooper Thomas 8/10/15 ~ 4/19/05 We give thanks for and
celebrate the life of Geraldine Marie Cooper Thomas, born on August 10, 1915
in Springfield, Missouri to parents Roy Woodle and Delia Estelle Dedmon. Gerry
was raised by her mother and stepfather, E.L. Cooper, in Oklahoma City,
Oklahoma, where she attended Central High School. An artist of note, Gerry
received a full art scholarship to Kidd Key College in Sherman, Texas. After
college, Gerry married her lifetime partner, William Wynne Thomas in Oklahoma
City in 1938. They gave birth to a daughter, Sharon Kaye Martin (Sherry), in
1940. Wynne worked for Service Pipe Line and was transferred to Salt Lake
City, Utah in 1942 where they lived until moving to Lakeway, Texas in 1972.
Gerry's artistic talents have been appreciated and enjoyed by family and
friends in several states. Gerry was an accomplished seamstress who designed
bridal ensembles for countless young women in Salt Lake, and designed and made
Sherry's wedding dress. Hundreds of children in Utah and Texas still own
Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls made by Gerry. She designed and made toys, clothes
and other treasures for her two grandchildren, Walter Wynn Martin and Scott
Thomas Martin. A joyful, optimistic person, Gerry's faith in her Lord was deep
and strong. As a member of St. Luke's on the Lake Episcopal Church in Austin,
Gerry was an active member in the Daughters of The King and the Young at Heart
Fellowship Group. Here again, Gerry contributed her artistic talents to fairs,
bazaars and other church functions. Gerry's son-in-law, Walter Perry Martin,
was a special gift to Gerry. As an architect, Perry and Gerry shared many
creative interests and spent countless hours together enjoying artistic
endeavors. The friendship and admiration they held for each other was visible
in both their lives. Grandsons Wynn and Scott looked forward as children to
visits with their Granny to bake nachos and stew great vats of treasured Chili
Sauce, a family recipe and tradition spanning four generations. In 2000, Gerry
delighted in Scott's marriage to poet Jenny Browne, and recently found
boundless joy in great-granddaughter Lyda Rose Martin, born to Scott and Jenny
in January 2004. Gerry surprised and delighted us all by secretly sewing one
last Raggedy Ann doll, for Lyda. When Gerry's beloved Wynne died seventeen
years ago, she declared in characteristic strength and optimism, "This will be
a happy home, a happy place to gather." It has been, and will continue to be,
as we take her bright spirit forward in our hearts and minds. Gerry died
peacefully at home of natural causes on April 19th. The family would like to
acknowledge with heartfelt gratitude the dedication and support of her
caregivers over the last five years. A special thanks is extended to Linda
Kelly and her husband Mike Kelly for the management of Gerry's care and their
constant love and support. Without Linda and Mike, Gerry could not have
remained in her home in Lakeway, as was her fervent wish. A celebration of
Gerry's life will be held at St. Luke's on the Lake Episcopal Church, 5600
Ranch Road 620 North on Friday, April 22 at 10:30 am with The Reverend Michael

Gayleen Mason Williams "Baby Doll" Gayleen Mason Williams born Sept. 5, 1959
to Gayland and Noreen Mason, the most loving, caring parents a daughter could
ask for, passed away Monday, April 18, 2005 after a long courageous battle
with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family, including daughters
Angela, Stephanie, and son, Alex. Gayleen had a zest for living and lived life
to the fullest as long as she was able. She enjoyed scuba diving, quilting,
scrap-booking, writing and studying the gospel. Her greatest accomplishments
are her three wonderful children who brought her so much joy. She is survived
by her children, loving parents, sisters, Vickie (Steven) Gatherum, Brenda
Mason, Kristine (Craig) Brown and Sheila (Steven) Wall, numerous nieces and
nephews and her sweetheart Bobby Solomon, who filled her last days with love.
Gayleen was preceded in death by her brothers, Russell Mason and General
Randall L. Mason, her guardian angels. In lieu of flowers, Gayleen has

Williams, Ruby Marshall
Ruby Marshall Williams 1911 ~ 2005 Ruby Marshall Williams, 93, died peacefully
surrounded by her family on Sunday, January 16, 2005 at the Brighton Gardens
Assisted Living Center in Chevy Chase, Maryland. Born April 16, 1911 in
Tooele, Utah, she was the fifth of seven children of Percy H. and Rose
Marshall. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She attended Rochester Junior College in Rochester, Minnesota and the
University of Utah in Salt Lake City. After marrying Lewis E. Williams in Salt
Lake City in 1934, she moved to Washington when he accepted a position in the
Works Projects Administration. He later joined the Housing and Home Finance
Agency and was Assistant Secretary of the Housing and Urban Development
Department when he retired in 1971 to open a private consulting firm where he
worked until his death. Mrs. Williams was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother,
and great-grandmother, an exceptional cook, an avid bridge player and golfer.
Her son Robert Marshall Williams and his wife Karen of Brewster, Mass., her
daughter Catherine Williams Fitz and her husband Bill of Bethesda, MD; five
grandchildren, Daniel F. Williams and his wife Susan of Seattle, WA; Rebecca
Georgenes and her husband Christopher of Wellesley, Mass., Thomas M. Williams
and his wife Brie of Hingham, Mass., Stephanie Fitz Montgomery and her husband
Scott of Gaithersburg, MD, and Eric W. Fitz and his wife Bronwyn of
Charlottesville, Virginia, and six great-grandchildren, survive her. Friends
are invited to attend a memorial service to be held at Larkin's Funeral Home,
260 E. South Temple, Salt Lake City, at 11 a.m. on Saturday April 23, 2005.
Friends may call that morning beginning at 10:30 a.m. Interment has taken

Wiseman, Adam J.
Adam J. Wiseman 1971 ~ 2005 Adam J. Wiseman, 33, of Orem, Utah passed away
April 18, 2005. He was born June 22, 1971 in Portland, Oregon, the son of
Richard and Sherrie Wiseman. Adam grew up and went to school in Santa Rosa,
CA, participating in school and club sports including baseball, soccer,
basketball, golf, and tennis. He achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in the BSA
and served an LDS mission in the Sydney, Australia Mission. Adam graduated
from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor degree in Sociology and then
earned a Masters of Public Administration degree from the University of Utah.
He and Jennifer Anne Smith were married on February 28, 1998. During his
Masters training he worked in the heath care and psychiatric care field.
Following his education, he worked in the insurance industry until shortly
before his passing. Adam enjoyed golfing, camping and working with and helping
people. He loved to laugh and tell stories and will be dearly missed by his
family and many good friends. Adam is survived by his wife, Jennifer, parents
Richard and Sherrie Wiseman of Santa Rosa, CA; younger brothers: Ben, Jeremy,
Lucas, Matthew, and sister Amy. Adam will be privately honored by family and
