Phelan, Wendy Wendy Phelan Wife, Mother, and Grandmother Died at home August 11, 2005 of natural causes I was born to James M. and Jeanne E. Cummings September 27, 1947 in Missoula, Montana. I went to Granite High School and Utah Technical College and retired from the Circuit Court System after 20 years. My beloved grandparents and parents preceded me in death. I leave behind my "better half" Tim; "best part" daughter, Jamie; and six beloved grandchildren. I also leave behind my extended family, stepchildren, Tiffany, Stephanie, John, Heather, and their spouses whom I loved as my own. Dear Mom and Dad Phelan, God bless you for your love and understanding. Upon my request there will be no formal services, instead, if you can make a donation to the Save A Manatee Club, 500 North Maitland Avenue, #210, Maitland, FL 32751-9672 or PETA, 680 8th Street, #255, San Francisco, CA 94103, or a charity of your choice, preferably one that does not test on animals. I'm Free Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free. I'm following the path God has laid for me. You see, I took his hand when I heard him call. I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day. To laugh, to love, to work or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way. I found that peace at the close of the day. If my parting has left a void, then fill it with remembered joys. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, Oh yes these things I too will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow. I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life's been full, I savored much, good friends, good times, a loved ones touch. Perhaps my time seemed all too brief. Don't lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your hearts and peace to thee. God wanted me now, he set me free. Funeral directors, Garner Funeral Home. Published in the Salt Lake Tribune on 8/14/2005.
