Dunnigan, Phyllis Phyllis Dunnigan "Together Again" I was born of goodly parents, Ephraim and Mary E. McDonald Jensen, on May 29, 1917. I was born at home weighing two and a half pounds at the Constitution Building on Main Street in Salt Lake City, Utah. My dad taught me to tap dance and I performed at age six at the Salt Lake Theater. I enjoyed dancing my entire life and as a young adult planned dances for the World War II service men at Ft. Douglas and Memory Grove. As a child I lived in Delta (80 acre farm), Santa Ana, CA, Brigham City, and Salt Lake City. Growing up I loved to swim and enjoyed teaching and competing in swimming. My father and mother were both very spiritual and taught me to love the gospel of Jesus Christ. I graduated from West High and held various jobs including working as an accountant for Salt Lake County Health Department. I have a deep love for the Savior. I loved the youth and enjoyed serving in many church callings and researching family history. I loved to travel and I especially loved cruises with my family. I met my husband to be, George B. Dunnigan, when he worked as a MP at Fort Douglas. I asked him out, gave him a big red apple, and beat him on our tennis date. I married him on May 22, 1948 and was later sealed on July 3, 1997, in the Bountiful Temple. My greatest joy is being a wife, mother, and grandmother. From our marriage we had two children, George M. Dunnigan (Debby) and Diane M. Spainhower. I have three grandchildren, Ryan Spainhower, Sean Dunnigan (Hannah) and Heather Dunnigan. I left this life on December 22, 2005 and caught up with my husband and parents who preceded me in death. In his younger days he drove a coal truck, worked for The Arms Plant in Salt Lake and drove a bus. He pursued a career as a bus driver and drove for Utah Power and Light Transit, Salt Lake City Lines, UTA and Lewis Brother Stages. We all remember our rides on the bus with Grampa. That was always a special day. Grampa was a handyman and could fix anything. He also loved the outdoors. He loved gardening, hunting, fishing and camping in the beautiful Uintah Mountains with his family. He loved to travel and site see and do lapidary work. He taught us all that to find the true beauty of a rock, you had to "spit on it" to make it shine. He made everyone beautiful jewelry. Grampa, thank you for your love, your time and your patience and for touching our lives in more ways than you will ever know. Enjoy your reunion with Grama and tell her we love and miss her. Stark 1/21/1945~12/20/2005 Since his birth on January 21, 1945, Ross Stark has been searching for the perfect golf course. On December 20, 2005, he finally answered a call from many family and friends who assured him that his search was finally over. Between tee times, Ross served his country with the U.S. Army, worked in the automotive parts industry and spent countless hours with family and friends on the 19th hole. The greatest round of his life was spent with his wife Becky and his two sons, Cameron and Dustin - because the score never mattered and the drives always seemed long and straight. For nearly 30 years, Ross has called Willow Creek Country Club his home course and has not only honed his game but more importantly created many valuable friendships. Whether playing from the rough or striking from the fairway, his favorite part of the game was the company he shared it with. Off the course, Ross had the traits of the world's best bartender - a friendly pour, an open ear and a hearty laugh. His mother Lorraine Stark, Salt Lake City, wife Becky Stark, Sandy, two sons Cameron Stark, Boise, Idaho and Dustin Stark, Sandy, brother Richard (Cheryl) Stark, Sandy, and sister Kris Cluff, Sandy are finishing the round Ross left at the turn. A celebration of Ross' life will be held at the Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East 10600 South, Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2005 at 12:00 noon. A viewing for family and friends will be held prior to the service 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 noon. Interment will follow the service at Larkin Sunset Gardens. The family would like to applaud the kindness, professionalism and compassionate care demonstrated by the staff at the Huntsman Cancer Institute and Hospital.
