He was born October 15, 1933 to Ruth Elizabeth Casper and William Ralph Bailey in Murray, Utah. He graduated from Granite High School in 1951. Bill served in the United States Army from 1955 to 1963. Bill married the love of his life and eternal sweetheart, Marilyn Cederlof, August 11, 1955. Marriage solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple, May 25, 1962. Bill worked installing heating and air conditioning for over 42 years. Bill had a tremendous work ethic and enjoyed working with his hands. He loved to tool leather and made many gifts for family and friends. Bill enjoyed his animals; he especially loved his horses and dogs. Bill was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in the Bishopric and in many other callings during his lifetime. He appreciated serving with the young men and enjoyed his many trips into the Uintahs. He loved the youth of the church and had a great influence on many lives. He loved his wife, his children, and his grandchildren. He cherished the time he spent fishing and camping with his family. Bill will be remembered for his sense of humor and wisdom, which he shared with his children, grandchildren, or anyone who would listen. He was a great example and encouraged his family to always be better people. Bill is survived by his wife Marilyn: his children Corrine (Dale) Titus; Gloria (Bill) Caughey; David (Suzanne) Bailey; Alan (Dianne) Bailey; and Steven (Alyssa) Bailey: 18 grandchildren, Jennifer, Veronica (Rich), Elder William G. It was a great ride Kathy Beddo passed away unexpectedly January 5, 2005 surrounded by her children. She was born November 2, 1948 in Richland, Washington to Ray Beddo and Vera Hambleton. Survived by her mother; daughters, Jeanie Mobley and husband Mark, Michelle Ainsworth (husband Tracy); granddaughter, Sydne, brother, Doug Beddo. Preceded in death by father; son, Robert V. Chettle. Brinkerhoff, Tod Tod Brinkerhoff 1962 ~ 2005 ST. GEORGE, UTAH Tod Brinkerhoff, 42, returned to his heavenly home on January 4, 2004. After a four year battle with A.L.S, (Lou Gehrig's desease), he passed away at his home in St. George, Utah. He was born on September 5, 1962, to Dan and LuRee Marshall Brinkerhoff. He married Renee M. Dickinson in the Salt Lake City Temple on September 2, 1989. They were blessed with four children. Tod was raised in Fillmore and attended Millard High School. He enjoyed school and playing basketball. He trained thoroughbred race horses for his father. He began his own thoroughbred horse training business and enjoyed his time working with horses. His greatest joy in life was his children. He will be watching over them. He is survived by his wife: Renee; his children: Courtney, Carson, Caden and Cailee; his father, Dan Brinkerhoff; and his brothers Jer'e, Gene (Realiane), Val (Kelly), and Joe (Tricia). He is preceded in death by his mother, LuRee and his brother Brad. Burke, Elsie Hall Elsie Hall Burke 1912 ~ 2005 LOGAN, UTAH: Elsie Hall Burke, 92, passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 4, 2005 in Logan, Utah surrounded by her sons. She was loved by all who knew her. Her kindness and loving generosity reflected the love and devotion she had for her Savior. She was born September 10, 1912 in McCammon, Idaho to Warren and Clara Hall. She married Vern L. Burke on March 30, 1936, later solemnized in the Logan Temple. They lived in Logan most of their married life where they raised their five sons. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many positions in the Relief Society and Primary. Her greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was happiest when she could be of service to others. Her love was unconditional. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years. She is survived by her five sons: Larry (Jackie), Lee, Dan, Steve (Joan), and Kevin; 12 grandchildren, and 10 great-grand-children; also her brother Vaughan Hall and her sister Arlie Hancock. Camp, Lucile Persson Goates Lucile Persson Goates Camp 1922 ~ 2005 Lucile was born July 13, 1922 in Payson, Utah to Henry Reid and Elizabeth Alleen Cowan Persson, and passed away January 2, 2005. The second of four siblings, she is survived by Wayne R. (Ruth), Dale (deceased) and Carol Hone (Jack). Lucile married Alden Goates 1948 1967 and was sealed to him in the Salt Lake Temple. She married Cody Camp in 1972 (April 21) who passed away in 1998 (February 11). Lucile enjoyed a close relationship with Cody's children and grandchildren. Clifford, Charles Leroy Charles Leroy Clifford 1926 ~ 2005 Charles Leroy Clifford, age 78, died January 4, 2005 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Our beloved uncle and brother will be greatly missed. Born May 14, 1926, in Murray, Utah to Boswell Edward and Mary Annie Farley-Will Clifford. Married the love of his life, Evelyn Perez, on August 24, 1946. Marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Charlie is survived by one sister, Margaret (Larry) Kircher, San Dimas, CA; and many loving and devoted nieces and nephews. He and his beloved animals were able to spend the last year of his life living with his devoted nephew and niece, David and Colleen Clifford. To Ron and Linda, Charlie loved you to the end. Cooper, Walter Lee Walter Lee Cooper 1927 ~2005 Walter Lee Cooper, 77 passed away peacefully on Jan 3, 2005 from a long valiant battle with lung cancer. He was born July 30, 1927 in Townsend, MT to Walter Henry and Esther Juanita Maxwell, one of 13 children. He married LaVerne Scott in Elko, NV. They made their home in Dugway, UT where they raised their four children. She preceded him in death May 26, 2000. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He spent most of his civil service career in Dugway, with duty assignments in Viet Nam, Korea and Germany. There were things in his life he lived for family, friends, golf, and the "good ol' USA." He looked forward to his trips to Wendover and Mesquite, where you could always find him at the craps table. He loved the Denver Broncos, hunting, fishing, music, playing the harmonica and a good glass of scotch. He set a wonderful example for all who knew him by the way he lived his life. He never complained and kept his amazing positive attitude to the very end. He never met a stranger and always had a kind word for everyone. He is survived by his four children; Craig (Margi) Cooper, St. George, Kristine (Paul) Lemieux, Boise, Idaho, Cindy McCarthy, Salt Lake City, and Candace (Clint) Martindale, North Salt Lake; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Phyllis (Walt) Mangels, Marlyn (Tom) Ronan; three brothers, Don (Alice), Bill, and Gary (Ramona). On May 7, 2004 he married Mary Lou Russell adding to this family two daughters, Sally McQueen and Susan (Roger) Bowers, one grandson and three great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, his wife, LaVerne, sisters; Irene, Juanita, Edna Mae, Marjorie, Maxine and brothers Gilbert and Jim. Dorsey, Lester Charles Lester Charles Dorsey 1917 ~ 2005 Lester Charles Dorsey finally lifted the bonds of his earthly frail body on January 5, 2005. He was born to Charles Hammond and Alice Louise Dorsey on June 1, 1917 in Logan, Utah. He graduated from Cokeville, WY High School and also attended Stevens Henagar College. He married Elizabeth Roderick in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on June 5, 1940. She preceded him into eternity on April 2, 2002. Lester was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in many church capacities including a branch mission with his sweetheart, Beth. He served in the 602nd Tactical Control Squadron for the US Army in France and Germany during World War II. Lester retired from the US Postal Service after 36 years of service where he received numerous recognitions for his hard work and suggestions for improving the various departments in which he worked. He was a best friend and neighbor to all who knew him. He loved his children and grandchildren more than life itself. Lester is survived by his son, Terry (Marsha) Dorsey; daughters, Eileen (Mark) Jenkins and Kathy (Eugene) Warner; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and brother, Harry Dorsey. He is preceded in death by his sweetheart, Beth; son, Kent; four brothers and three sisters. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2005 2 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road in West Jordan, with a viewing to be held for an hour and a half prior to services. Epperson, Eddie Eddie Epperson 1917 ~ 2005 On Thursday morning, January 6, 2005, our loving Father and Grandfather, Eddie Epperson passed away peacefully at the Heber Valley. Medical Center after a brief illness. Eddie was born on May 30, 1917 in Midway, Utah to Maurice and Mable Epperson. He attended Mjdway Elementary and graduated from Wasatch High School in Heber City. He married his sweetheart Marie McMillan. They made their home on the family farm in Snake Creek Canyon where they resided for 62 years. Dad was an avid horseman. He owned and trained several racehorses. He raced his horses throughout the country winning numerous races. He was an accomplished rancher and electrician. He loved his children, grandchildren and their many accomplishments. He looked forward to traveling with his family to high school rodeos to watch his great grandson Preston rodeo. His favorite past time was going to the state park for coffee and bragging about his kids, grand kids and great grand kids. Special thanks to the Heber Valley Medical Center nursing staff and to Dr. Greg Taylor. Thanks to his many special friends for all their love and support over the past four years. Eddie is survived by his daughter Linda Gay (Phil) Webb, Riverton, Utah, son Blaine Lyndon (Susan) Epperson, Heber City, Utah, seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Feller, Calvert Bill Calvert Bill Feller "Scratchy" Bill Feller passed away in his sleep on January 3, 2005 in Salt Lake City. He was born February 14, 1930 in Bountiful, Utah to Lenus Feller and Dorothy M. Foster. He married Virginia Cluff on August 23, 1946 and later divorced. He then married Judy Mertin (divorced) then Debra LoRange (deceased). He is survived by his first wife Virginia and their children, daughter, Carrie (Neil) Flandro; sons, C. Scott Feller, Lenus (Roxanne) Feller, Josh (Jennifer) Feller; stepchildren from Judy, Toni (Andrew) Lock; stepchildren from Debra, Melissa Martinez, Jesse Feller; 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; sister Beverly (Gale) Caldwell. Bill worked for IML Trucking starting as a driver, later into management. Bill retired from ABF Trucking after 11 years. He loved golfing and bowling especially with his old friends (cronies). He was a pillar of responsibility. He was preceded in death by his wife Debra LoRange Feller, his son Douglas Feller, grandson Lee Flandro. Hill 1914 ~ 2005 Mary "June" Winchester Hill, age 90, passed away January 4, 2005, due to complications from a respiratory infection. June was born June 6, 1914 in Salt Lake City, to Rex and Mame Winchester. She attended Granite High, and in 1936 married Edward "Ted" Hill. In 1942 they moved from Salt Lake to Tacoma where they were blessed with twin daughters Jean and Joan. The family returned to Utah in 1945 and soon founded the Hill Beverage Company. June and Ted worked side by side for the next 30 years providing the Salt Lake valley with a variety of soft drinks. In 1967 June and Ted adopted their two grandchildren and began parenting anew. June and Ted retired in 1980 and spent their time traveling the back roads of the West. June is survived by her daughter Jean Hill Cruz, grandchildren Elizabeth Ann Hill, J.D. Hill and great grandson David Scott Hill. June was preceded in death by her husband Ted, and daughter Joan. June's impact on this world is difficult to measure. Her warmth and compassion were felt by everyone she came into contact with. Her first concern was always the welfare of others. She will be missed dearly. He is survived by his wife, Lucille "Lucy"; children, Michael, Jeffrey (Tina), Nicole and Jennifer; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren; sister, Blanche Phillips; and a brother, Gale (Susie) Jensen. She was born August 10, 1961 in Salt Lake City to Robert M. and Marian N. Kendall. Kay attended Highland High School and was a graduate of the University of Utah. She was a kind and compassionate person who spent most of her working life in the non-profit sector on behalf of those in need. Kay was a sports enthusiast, an avid golfer with a beautiful swing who loved to watch any sporting event with friends or family. Kay especially loved spending time on the golf course with her niece Abby and nephew Tom. Kay is survived by her father Robert M. Born Jan 02, 1928 in Omaha, NB to Stephen J. Krider and Mae Agnes Hanson, loving step mother, Mary Lorentzen Krider. Bud graduated from Tulsa Central High School in 1945. He served in the Marine Corps during World War II. Graduated from BYU with a BS in Economics. He was a member of the LDS Church. Bud retired from for the Newspaper Agency Corp. He was a school bus driver for Granite School District for 10 years. He was a member of the American Legion Holladay Post 71, The Salt Lake Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie #67. He belonged too the Humane Society of the United States with Awards and Certificates of Appreciation for over 28 years. Bud's services were appreciated greatly by the Utah Homeless Shelter, The Road Home for years of caring support. Bud loved spending time in the great outdoors, playing football, wrestling, dirt bike riding, river rafting, dancing and fishing (No Awards); but most of all he loved camping the his Reenzy and his dog, Good Boys. He is survived by his beloved companion and soul mate, Norean Kovacerich; son, Jeff Scott Krider, West Valley; daughter, Carolee Withers, South Salt Lake; stepchildren, Steven Bradshaw (Hilary) Calif; Mike Westbrook (Mary) of Sandy; Sonja Christensen (Evan) W. Jordan; Mark Westbrook (Mary), West Valley; Shelly Still (Brian), Spanish Fork; Monica Steele (Dennis) Taylorsville; special granddaughters, Sariah Westfall, and Sherry Still. Larson, Elinora Noble Elinora Noble Larson 8/9/1919 ~ 1/2/2005 Heaven just became a little better. Mom welcomed the New Year and then said good-bye. Elinora (El-nora) was born August 9, 1919 to Joseph Lawrence Noble and Laura Bell Pleasant in Rupert, Idaho. She attended and graduated from beauty school where she met her husband, Ross Tolman Larson, while he was attending barber school. They were married and sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on Dec. 13, 1939. They raised their family in Burley, Idaho and spent their later years in Utah. She served all her life and was a faithful Latter-day Saint. She served in the Temple, Primary, and Relief Society and was by our Father's side always and forever. In one four month period, she took 212 names through the temple. She was the belle of the ball, loved parties, adored her grandchildren, but mostly she liked root beer, ice cream, and a good joke (even if she didn't get it). She is survived by six children, Norman (Sharon), Joyce Lundgren, Leo (Cynthia), Cathy (Craig) Maughan, Reed (Lori), Raedene (Harry) Blucher; 44 grandchildren, and 44 great- grandchildren. Thanks to Raedene, Harry, Steven and TeAroha for taking Mom into their home. Mom's greatest legacy is a firm knowledge and testimony of her Savior, Jesus Christ. McClain 1932 ~ 2005 Our mother, sister, grandmother and best friend passed away on January 5, 2005 in St. George, Utah. She was born on May 12, 1915 Melvin and Blanche Riding in Benjamin, Utah. She married Edmund McClain on Aug 20, 1932. She was a stay at home mom who was a fabulous cook and will always be remembered for her great sense of humor. She is survived by a daughter; Judy (Andy) Kvachuk, sons; Tom (Debbie) McClain, Lynn (Julie) McClain, sister; Helen (Andy) Anderson, grandchildren; Ken and Shay Curtis, Troy and Lynda McClain, Tari Weight and nine great grandchildren. She also has two wonderful sisters-in-law, Vivian Riding and Delight Thomas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed, son Eddie, parents and three brothers, Scott, Jay and Coney. Means, Nancy Asquith Harris Nancy Asquith Harris Means 1912 ~ 2005 Nancy Asquith Means, 92, passed away January 5, 2005 at Brighton Gardens in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born November 4, 1912 in Barnsley, Yorkshire, England to Hilda Haigh and James Asquith. When Nancy was twelve, she and her family came to Salt Lake City; where she has since resided. She married Bransford Harris, nephew of Utah's Silver Queen, Susanna Bransford Holmes on August 24, 1938. Bransford Harris passed away in 1949. Nancy married Roy Means in 1964. Roy passed away in 1982. For many years, Nancy was active in the women's auxiliary of the Loyal Order of Moose, where she served in many offices including Senior Regent as well as volunteering for the Red Cross. Nancy and her sister Betty had a very close and special relationship throughout their lives. Frequent visits to San Francisco and three wonderful trips back to Nancy's beloved England were among Nancy's most treasured memories. Nancy was most noted for her red hair, her meticulous attention to detail and her wonderful English sense of humor. Nancy is survived by Jan Christensen-Heller, Jan's three sons and numerous grand nieces and nephews and great grand nieces and nephews. Samiuela was born October 13, 1918 in Vaini, Tonga to MoalaPau Moala and Taufa Tuuhelilo Moala. He married 'Anatoilose Palu Holonga Tongatapu in 1950 in Tonga. He loved God and his family dearly. He is preceded in death by his children, Loisi Moala Saimone, Amanaki Lelei Moala, 'Lea'aetoa 'Ipangai Moala and Filipe Moala. Pedersen, Rasmus Geoffrey Rasmus Geoffrey Pedersen 1928 ~ 2005 Ras Pedersen of West Valley City, UT passed away January 3, 2005. Ras was born October 20, 1928 in Bloemfontein, So Africa. Ras married his beautiful wife, Cornelia, on August 24, 1957 and celebrated 45 years together. Nellie preceded Ras in death on August 14, 2002. Ras and Nellie, along with their two sons, David and Brian, immigrated to the US in 1976. Ras and Nellie's greatest desire was to become American Citizens and raise their sons in a free country, which the whole family accomplished on July 4, 1986. Ras worked at Meyer & Frank (formerly ZCMI) for over 20 years. Survived by two sons, Brian Pedersen of West Valley; and David- (Mari) Pedersen, Menton, CA. Przybus, Dallas Joseph Dallas Joseph Przybus 1940 ~ 2005 Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and son, Dallas Joseph Przybus, passed away this 4th day of January 2005 at the young age of 64 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Dallas passed away peacefully due to recent health complications. Dallas was born July 18, 1940 in Marshall Minnesota to proud parents Joe and Rose Przybus. Dallas was fond of traveling, joining the Air Force at a young age to see the world. When he met his lovely wife Barbara and married on August 25, 1962 they began their journey together which took them from Minnesota to Arizona to California and finally to Utah. After exploring many career opportunities, Dallas found his true calling in the airline industry and after a successful 34 year career with Western and Delta Airlines he retired in 2002. This allowed him to travel the world seeing much of United States and finally taking a trip overseas to Japan earlier this year. Dallas was a lifetime Catholic and a member of Our Lady of Lourdes parish in Salt Lake City. He lived a full life with many hobbies and passions. He was an avid golfer who was most proud of his hole-in-one and teaching his grandson to play. Along with golf, Dallas enjoyed walking, playing bridge, working with wood, and spending time with family and friends. Dallas will be missed by all those who knew him, especially his wife Barbara, his mother Rose, his two sons, Brent and Mark, and his grandchildren, Josh, Natalie, Krista, Katherine, Stephanie, and Mia. She is now released from her earthly pain and from missing her companion of 54 years. Born October 10, 1914 to Mylinda Pearl Rolph and Jerry Newton Jackson in Hamilton, Ohio. She married Elmo E. Swanagan July 25, 1950 in Georgetown, Ohio he preceded her in death Aug. 12, 2004. She was an active member of the LDS Church. Vandenaker, Jacqueline Vail "Jacque" Jacque Vandenaker Love You Forever Our precious daughter, Jacqueline Vail Vandenaker, known as Jacque to her friends and family, died on January 4, 2005 at the age of 23 of pneumonia. Her beloved boyfriend, Jesse Winters, made a valiant effort to save her, and we thank you, Jesse. Jacque was the daughter of Robert A. (Bob) Vandenaker, of Midvale, Utah, and Pam Wilson Vandenaker, of Phoenix, Arizona. Jacque was born on October 19, 1981, and from the moment of her birth brought a sense of fun, joy, and delight to her family. Jacque danced, dreamed, and created beauty everywhere she walked, she talked a mile a minute, and she leaves us with a legacy of love. Jacque attended Brighton High School, where she further developed and refined her artistic talents and won many awards for her art and beautiful and unique pottery. She had a one-of-a-kind sense of style and self-expression, loved life, and loved her friends. All those who knew and loved her will miss her, and long to see that beautiful smile. Jacque was the fourth of five children including, Mason Vandenaker, Lisa Vandenaker, Blake Vandenaker, his wife Madai, and Brooke Vandenaker. Also survived by her grandfather, Leonard D. She is preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Olivia; and her twin brother, Fernando. Walters, Donald Robert Donald Robert Walters Everyone's best friend Donald Robert Walters, 68, passed away on Jan 1, 2005.Born April 26, 1936 in Murray, UT. to Alfred B. and Hazel Walters. He grew up in Magna and graduated from Cyprus High School. He served in the US Army from 1956 to 1960. On May 27, 1960 he married Luanne Alvord in the Salt Lake Temple. He retired from Kennecott as an electrician, then worked for the Granite School District. He was always an example of kindness and service to others. He loved to travel, spend time with his grandkids, watching sports and tinkering in his garage. He was also known for his love and compassion for animals. He will be greatly missed by his wife, his children, Kathy (Darren), Jerry (Laurie), Wendy (Todd), Vicky (Shawn), his eight grandchildren and brothers Leon, and Ken (Betty). He was preceded in death by his parents, step mother Rowena Walters, sisters, Hazel (Bob) West and Donna (Rulon) Cook and sister- in- law Helen. Born March 17, 1925 in Inglewood, CA, the last child of George and Louise Brommelmeier Smith. Married Allen Dale Worthington, Sr. in 1945; sealed in the Los Angeles Temple in 1958. Lucy had an ideal childhood, being the youngest child, with older brothers who helped her learn to play and love sports. In her teens, Lucy was a star pitcher on several girls fast-pitch teams. She loved swimming, camping, traveling and all sports, especially softball. She served faithfully in various callings in the LDS Church and enjoyed sharing genealogy with her family. Survived by four children: Dolly (Larry) Piatt, Marty (Gayleen) Worthington, Kathy Worthington (Sara Hamblin), Craig (Debbie) Worthington; 29 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Dale; sons, Allen and Rick; two infant grandchildren; five brothers; one sister. Mom was especially close to her sister-in-law and lifelong friend, Beth Smith.
