Albrecht Sr., John Arlen
John Arlen Albrecht, Sr. 1938 ~ 2005 Beloved husband, father, grandfather,
great-grandfather, brother, uncle, friend and neighbor, John Arlen Albrecht,
Sr. passed away on June 2, 2005 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was
born on September 20, 1938 in Fremont, Utah to Verda Searle and Leonard
Albrecht. He served in the United States Air Force from 1956 thru 1960. He
married Anna Rose Cestrone in Boise, Idaho on August 16, 1960. Marriage later
solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple, October 12, 1973. He loved jogging,
hunting and camping with his family, golf and playing with his grandchildren.
He was a member of the Woods Cross 6th Ward for 36 years and held many
positions in the ward. He and his wife served an honorable mission in June of
2003 thru June 2004 at the St. George Temple Visitors' Center and Historic
Sites which they truly loved. He was preceded in death by his father, mother
and three brothers. He is survived by his wife, two sons, John Arlen Albrecht,
Jr. and Ryan C. Albrecht (Araceli) and two daughter's, Valerie Ann Sneed
(Frank Jr.), and Jodi Lee Jacobson (Wayne); four grandchildren; and one
great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 6, 2005 at
1:00 p.m. at the Woods Cross 6th Ward Chapel, 1500 South 800 West. Friends may
call Sunday evening from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful
Mortuary, 295 North Main and Monday morning from 11:30 a.m. -12:45 p.m. at the

Braithwaite, Larry L.
Larry L. Braithwaite 1937 ~ 2005 Six months shy of our 50th wedding
anniversary, Larry died tragically when he lost control of his vehicle while
heading home from a day fishing at Strawberry. He died May 30, 2005. He was
born January 16, 1937 to Laurence and Neva Norma Butcher Braithwaite in Salt
Lake City, Utah. He spent many years of his childhood in Ely and returned to
Salt Lake City where he married Barbara Johnson November 12, 1955. Together
they had seven children. Larry was a devoted son, husband, father and
grandfather. He was a brick mason and the hardest worker anyone knew. He
enjoyed working, fishing, hunting, camping and bowling and loved watching his
grandchildren's ball games. But most of all he loved talking to everyone. He
could strike up a conversation with anyone whether they were old friends or
total strangers. Little children will never forget him as they were the love
of his life. Many people will never forget his stories, as he had many to
tell, and his practical jokes that he played on many. He is survived by his
wife, Barbara; children: Mike (Teresa), Randy (deceased), Laurie Hemingway,
Jon, Darren (Kelley), Jeff, Jodi (Rick) Littleford; 15 grandchildren: Colette,
Mandy, Jake, Brad, Staci, Scott, Dylan, Cody, Whitney, Landon, McKenzee,
Brielle, Colton, Caitlyn; great-grandson, Dakota; brothers and sisters: Bob
(Louise), Bud, Stan (Mary), Norma (Mel), Les, Alice, Marge, Faye (Richard),
Connie (Jim), Judy; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents;
sister, Joyce; half sister and brothers: Gwen Chandler, Jack, and Ray. Funeral
services will be held Monday, 1:00 p.m. at the Granger North Stake Center,
3100 South 3450 West. A viewing will be held Sunday, 5-8 p.m. at McDougal
Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Monday at the church, 11:45 a.m. -

Christensen, Belva Andersen
Belva Andersen Christensen 1932 ~ 2005 OGDEN, UT- Belva Andersen Christensen
passed away suddenly on June 1, 2005 at the McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden. Belva
was born in Brigham City on April 21, 1932 a daughter of Alonzo and Margaret
(Bassett) Andersen. She married Norman B. Christensen July 2, 1952 in the
Logan Temple. She graduated from Box Elder High School in Brigham City in 1950
and attended Weber State and Utah State University. She worked beside her
husband, first in their Salt Lake City floral business, Norman's Floral Arts,
and later in their San Francisco Store, The Greenhouse. Belva served in many
church callings, from Relief Society President to Nursery Leader. She also
taught early morning seminary in her former, Walnut Creek, California Ward.
Children were her special interest. Belva is survived by her husband, Norman
Christensen, Providence, Utah, her daughters, Lisa Christensen of Middletown,
CA; and Cristina Christensen Lawrence and husband, Paul, of Kaysville, Utah,
and her seven grandchildren, Melissa, Britton, Wyatt, Courtney, Sheridan,
Ethan, and Christian. She is also survived by her siblings and their spouses,
Melvin and Patsy Andersen, Delpha and Steve Baird, Faye Jeppson, Ralph and
Margaret Andersen, Vertis and Sandra Andersen, and Jean and Seth Jensen. She
was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Carol Andersen, a niece, Mary
Jeppson, a brother in law, Ralph Jeppson, and two nephews, James and Robert
Jeppson Funeral services will be held Monday, June 6, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. in the
Fruitland Acres Ward building, 155 North, 100 East in Providence, Utah. A
viewing will be held Sunday, June 5th at Allen Hall Mortuary 34 East Center St
in Logan from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the funeral service at
the church. Burial will be at the Brigham City Cemetery, located at 3rd E and

Clark, Patsy Collene (Bess)
Patsy Colleene Clark (Bess) 1/17/31 ~ 6/2/05 Colleene passed away June 02,
2005 in Salt Lake City of natural causes. Born Jan. 17, 1931 to Albert
Moulding and Cora Bennett, she later married Ronald Bess on Sept. 10, 1948 in
the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Colleene is survived by her husband of 28 years, Rex
F. Clark Sr., her son, Jeff R. Bess (Cindy), her daughter, Tammie L. Bess
(Michael), her son, Rex F. Clark Sr. (Russchele), 11 grandchildren, one great
grandchild and countless friends within the deaf and hearing community. The
first of two viewing's will be held on June 5, 2005 at the Cottonwood
Mortuary, 4670 Highland Dr. From 5-8 p.m. The second viewing will be held at
the same location the following day at 11:00 a.m.-12:45 p.m., and the funeral
service will begin directly after this viewing at Holladay Memorial Park at
4900 S. Memory Lane. In lieu of flowers, please donate at either viewing to
the Colleene Clark Memorial Fund.

Cornwall, Shirley Westover
Shirley Westover Cornwall 9/1/1922 ~ 6/1/2005 Shirley, beloved sister, wife,
mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away after a period of
illness June 1, 2005. We know she rejoices in the reunion with her sweetheart,
Glenn, who preceded her in death on Feb 10, 2003. She was born in Provo, Utah
to Franz Henry Westover and Leona Smith. She grew up in Murray, Utah where she
graduated from Murray High School before attending LDS Business College.
Shirley then served as a missionary for the LDS Church in Toronto, Canada.
After her mission, she met and married her friend and eternal companion, Glenn
H. Cornwall on Sept. 9, 1947 in the Salt Lake Temple. They lived in Murray 50
years, raising four wonderful children, Christine Norman (John), Craig (Pam),
Mark (Linda), Scott. She is lovingly remembered by 14 grandchildren and nine
great-grandchildren. Shirley worked for over 30 years in banking. She was a
devoted member of the LDS Church, serving in numerous callings and often
leading the choir. Music was an important part of her life and she was a
member of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir for several years. She served missions
with Glenn to Micronesia-Guam and on Temple Square and spent many years as a
temple worker. She had a gift for friendship. She is survived by her sister
Lorna Deane Blake, brother Kenneth Westover, brother-in-law Stephen Cornwall,
many nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral services will be at the Park Ward
Chapel 495 E. 5600 So., Murray, June 4, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. Friends may call at
the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary 4760 So. State St. Friday from 6-8 p.m. and
Saturday 12:00 a.m.-12:45 p.m. at the church. Interment Murray City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the LDS Perpetual
Education Fund, 50 E. North Temple 9th Floor, SLC, UT 84150-1501.

Crumbie Jr., David H.
David H. Crumbie, Jr. 1929 ~ 2005 David H. Crumbie Jr, 76, passed away June 1
in his home in West Valley City, Utah. He was born May 9, 1929 in Salt Lake
City, Utah to David H. Crumbie Sr. and Isabell L. (Zierold) Crumbie. David
served his country in the US military. He installed ceramic tile for many
years and was a true craftsman. In his spare time he liked working on a small
farm. He was a kind and loving person and will be missed by all who knew him.
His dog Mitzi had a special place in his heart. Survived by one brother,
Raymond (Louise) Crumbie. Preceded in death by parents and two brothers.
Special thanks to all those that supported David during his illness. A
graveside service will be held Monday, June 6, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. in the Salt
Lake City Cemetery. Friends and family may call Sunday from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at
Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, and may gather at Larkin Mortuary at
10:00 prior to the services on Monday.

De St. Jeor, Merlin
Merlin De St. Jeor 1922 ~ 2005 Merlin De St. Jeor passed away June 2, 2005 in
his home in Orem, Utah. Merlin was born May 17, 1922 in Provo, Utah to Calvin
and Clara Jensen De St. Jeor. Merlin went to school at Measer and Page
elementary school and Lincoln high school. He married Lyle Lydia Menlove in
Spring Lake, Utah, on August 31, 1949. They were later sealed in the Manti
Temple on May 29, 1957. Merlin was a hard worker, spent his whole life
supporting his family. He worked 35 years for Geneva Pipe Company. He started
at driving trucks around the state, also, as a foreman with finishing the
Geneva Concrete Pipe. When Merlin retired he worked as a campground manager
and host with his wife Lyle Lydia from 1991 to 1998. He became very ill in
1998 with a rare disease, Wegeners Glumularmatosis. The last two years he was
on kidney dialysis. He was also diagnosed in March of 2005 with Lymphoma.
Merlin loved fishing and camping with his family and going up in the high
mountains. Merlin is survived by his wife, Lyle Lydia, his six children, Boyd,
Ivan, Barbara, Don, Lila, Calvin, and his only surviving sister, June Neilson.
He has 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in
death by a brother, Dale and a sister, Elaine. Funeral services will be held
on Monday, June 6th, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. in the Timp Park 5th Ward Chapel, 990
North 100 West, Orem. Family and friends may call Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m.
at the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 East 800 North, Orem, and from
9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the church. Interment will be in the

DeAngelis, Irene
Irene DeAngelis 1921 ~ 2005 Born September 15, 1921 in Salt Lake City, Utah to
Lee Scott and Cleo Knowlden. Died May 25, 2005 in Lodi, CA. Attended South
High School in Salt Lake City. Married James DeAngelis August 25, 1942; he
preceded her in death. Also by an infant son, Jimmy, born Sept., 1942 and died
Feb., 1943. Lived in Salt Lake City until 1979 when she moved to the Bay Area
in Northern CA. Attended Canada College and subsequently went to work for
Standard Research Institute in Menlo Park, CA. Moved to Napa, CA in July, 1988
and Lodi in 1996. She was an accomplished seamstress, wrote beautiful poetry
and was a loving mother and grandmother. We will all miss her very much.
Survived by her children: Karen Drushal, Vacaville, CA, Tina Larsen, Mt. View,
CA, Jamie Spegar, Stockton, CA and Sam DeAngelis, Mt. View, CA; seven
grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; her
twin sister, Ione Reese, Salt Lake City; brothers, Lee Scott Jr., Luguna
Hills, CA and Lewis (Larry) Squires, Salt Lake City. Graveside services will
be held Friday, 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 1342 E. 500 S. A viewing
will be held Friday, 12:30-1:30 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S. Redwood
Road.

Halliday, Eldo H.
Eldo H Halliday 1901 ~ 2005 Eldo H Halliday, age 103, passed away Wednesday,
June 1, 2005 in Salt Lake City. He was born September 4, 1901, in Pleasant
Grove, Utah, to Joseph and Josephine Halliday, growing up in Pleasant Grove
and American Fork before moving to Salt Lake in 1918, where he attended West
High School. In June, 1920, Eldo accepted a position with Utah Power & Light
Co., advancing through the management ranks of the company until his
retirement in 1968. In November, 1940, Eldo married the love of his life,
Emmeline Frost. They were married in Coalville, Utah, and later sealed in the
Salt Lake Temple. Eldo has had a lifetime of service in The Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many wards and stake assignments in
the Salt Lake Bonneville Stake. One of the highlights of that service was in
1976, when he and Emmeline were called as Welfare and Friendshipping
Missionaries to work with Cambodian refugees in the Salt Lake valley. Eldo is
survived by his wife Emmeline, sons David and James (both of Salt Lake),
nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents,
brothers Varian (Selena) Halliday, Vere (Irma) Halliday and sister Geneal
(Elwood) Workman. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 6, 2005 at 12:00
noon, at the Bonneville Stake Center, 1535 E. Bonneview Drive, Salt Lake City.
Friends and family may call from 6:00-7:30 p.m., Sunday, June 5, at Russon
Brothers Mortuary, 255 South 200 East in Salt Lake, and 10:45-11:45 a.m. prior
to the service on Monday. Interment will be at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. The

Haws, Edith Broadbent
Edith Broadbent Haws 1907 ~ 2005 LEHI - Our dear mother and grandmother, Edith
Broadbent Haws, age 97, of Lehi, UT, passed away surrounded by her family on
Thursday, June 2, 2005 at her home from causes incident to age. She was born
Dec. 6, 1907 in Lehi, UT to Joseph Samuel and Annie Shaw Broadbent. She
married her husband, Jay Knollin Haws, Nov. 3, 1933 in the Salt Lake LDS
Temple. After eight years, she has been reunited with her sweetheart.
Following her graduation from Lehi High School, she attended the LDS Business
College in Salt Lake City. Upon her marriage to Jay, she worked and helped in
several family businesses. She and Dad spent many hours doing genealogy and
temple work in the first years of their marriage which became a hobby during
their entire life. Her favorite job, however, was being a Mom and a
Grandmother. She provided untiring love and support to children and
grandchildren. The Gospel was very important in the life of Mother. Her payday
in life was when her children were doing and serving as we had been taught
from childhood. Mom was very patriotic and supported her sons and son-in-law
as they served for many years in the Utah Army National Guard. She loved
growing flowers, especially her roses and the family garden. She was a member
of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served faithfully
in many callings. Her favorite was serving as the Lehi Fifth Ward Relief
Society President where she and the other sisters enjoyed quilting, making
meat pies cooking and baking for Ward dinners. She was an ordinance worker in
the Provo LDS Temple for 14 years and served two missions with her husband in
the Sidney Australia Mission (1971-73) and the Missionary Training Center, SLC
(1974-75). Dad and Mother loved to travel and took many of their grandchildren
(three at a time) to the Church Historical sites in the East and the Palmyra
Pageant in New York. Edith is survived by three sons and one daughter: John
Knollin (Deanna Eggli) Haws of Lehi, Joseph Hugh (Deanna Lee) Haws of
Riverton, Ralph Jay (Connie Dean) Haws of South Jordan currently serving in
the West Indies Mission at Trinidad, and Elaine Haws (J.H.) Hadfield of
American Fork, 23 grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, 65
great-grand-children, and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in
death by her parents, husband, and two brothers, John Samuel and Alvin Dixon
Broadbent and two sisters, Tora Broadbent Loveridge, and Ruth Broadbent
Wagstaff Lamoreau and a granddaughter and great-grandson. Special thanks is
extended to friends and grandchildren for their kindness, untiring love and
care given to Grandma over the past several years, i.e. Leslie Desouza, Ryan
and Julie Rocque, Laurene Dinehart and family, John K. Haws Jr. and family,
Victor and Dallys Armenta, Elizabeth and Jarom Huntsman, and Jennifer Smith.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 6, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. in the
Lehi Fifth Ward Chapel, 465 E. 300 N., Lehi, UT. Friends and family may call
at the Wing Mortuary, 118 E. Main, Lehi, Sunday from 6-8 p.m. and Monday
morning, one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be in the
Lehi City Cemetery.

Jarvis, Lee Taylor
Lee Taylor Jarvis 1920 ~ 2005 Lee Taylor Jarvis, 84, died June 2, 2005 in Salt
Lake City, Utah. Lee was born November 6, 1920 in Hinckley, Utah to John
Taylor Jarvis and Rose Edith Lee. He was raised on a farm with his four
sisters and grew up doing milking and farm chores. His father died when Lee
was three years old. His mother then married Joseph Sylvester Nielson. The
family later moved to Salt Lake where they managed a dairy farm. Lee attended
Hinckley Elementary School, Horace Mann Junior High and West High School. He
served in the Texas-Louisiana Mission. He was in Palestine, Texas, at the time
of Pearl Harbor. On returning home, Lee entered military service. While
stationed at Randolph Field, San Antonio, Texas, he met his future wife
Jeanette (Jeri) Bowers, who was touring the country as a singer with a USO
troop. Lee and Jeri were married May 18, 1946 in the Salt Lake Temple. Lee
attended the University of Utah for a year and then moved his wife and son to
San Antonio, Texas where he attended Texas Chiropractic College. Lee began his
chiropractic practice in Salt Lake while holding down a part-time job with the
Salt Lake City Water Department. He served as president of the Utah
Chiropractic Association and on many professional boards and committees. He
served in the first bishopric of the Garden Park 2nd Ward. He taught Sunday
School, Primary, and priesthood and was an innovative cub master and
activities chairman. Lee and Jeri taught ballroom and folk dancing in wards
and stakes and assisted with June dance festivals. Lee enjoyed camping, hiking
and outings with his children. He and Jeri and the family loved family
vacations and traveled throughout the United States and also visited many
foreign countries. In his retirement years Lee and Jeri completed three
proselyting missions and also served as hosts on Temple Square for eight
years. Lee was a devoted father to four daughters and three sons: Ken (Patty),
Patricia, Kelly (Ruth), Scott (Jane), Jill (Craig) Maddox, Kathlyn (Tom)
Thatcher, Wendy (John) Hairel. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren, with
one more expected in November, and 10 great grandchildren. He is preceded in
death by his parents, four sisters, Roma Knight, Lillian Chatterley, Ione
Reeder, Vesta Lindstrom; and grandson Christopher Lee Jarvis. Funeral services
will be held Tuesday, June 7, at 12:00 p.m. in the Garden Park Ward, 1150 Yale
Ave., Salt Lake City. Friends may call on Monday, June 6 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 255 S. 200 E. Salt Lake City and from 11:00 -

Johnson, Beth
Beth Johnson 1928 ~ 2005 Beth ReGean Cahoon Johnson was born March 10, 1928 to
Reed S. And Belva Darling Cahoon in Eureka, Utah, the second child of six. On
February 17, 1945, she married Earl Johnson and they had five children:
Sherrie Hamilton, husband George L. Hamilton of Mesquite, Nevada, Brent
Johnson from Beaver Dam, Arizona, Gail Johnson (deceased), Pam Brew, husband
Reggie Brew and family live in Wilmington, North Carolina, and Kent (Corky)
Johnson, married to Lori Ivie Johnson, reside in Mesquite Nevada. Beth and
Earl have 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. They celebrated their
sixtieth wedding anniversary this year. The couple lived all over the state of
Utah when Earl worked for the State Road Department. They made life-long
friends everywhere they lived. Beth was a devoted member of The Church of
Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She was a faithful visiting teacher and
served a short tenure as a teacher in the Relief Society. She had a keen wit
and was a loyal friend. All who knew her admired her open door policy and knew
her as the perfect hostess. Beth passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2005, at the
Dixie Regional Medical Hospital after battling numerous health problems for
several months. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She
will be greatly missed. An extra special appreciation of gratitude is extended
to Dr. Watson and Dr. Klein at Dixie Regional Medical Hospital. Also, to all
the entire medical staff and especially to Tammy McArthur. Funeral services
will be held at the Whipple Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day
Saints, on Monday, June 6 at 11:00 a.m. A viewing will be held for friends and
family prior to the services in the Relief Society Room from 9:30-10:30 a.m.

Johnson, John Homer
John Homer Johnson 1925 ~ 2005 Beloved Father, Grandfather and brother, John
Homer Johnson passed away on June 2, 2005 in Mesa, Arizona. Homer was born
October 4th, 1925 in Moab, Utah to the late George Washington Johnson and
Mabel Wilcox Johnson. Homer was an Army veteran who served in the
Quartermaster Core in Papua New Guinea and in the Philippines during World War
II. He returned from his army service and married Ellen Ricks of Rexburg,
Idaho, in the Logan Temple on September 5, 1950. He was an engineering
graduate of Utah State University and worked for the U.S. Air Force, then
General Motors for over 22 years. They moved from Cheyenne, Wyoming to Denver,
Colorado and eventually made their home in Bountiful, Utah where they resided
for over 25 years. He was a man of integrity and of courage never complaining
nor shirking his responsibilities in life. Homer's deepest conviction was that
of a firm faith in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. His deepest wish was to pass
that testimony on to his children and grandchildren. He will be dearly missed.
Homer was preceded in death by his dear wife, Ellen Ricks Johnson. He is
survived by his five children Gale H. Johnson (Nina) of Plano, Texas; George

Lemon, Homer Harold
Homer Harold Lemon 1915 ~ 2005 Early on Thursday June 2, 2005, Homer Harold
Lemon passed away in his sleep and into the waiting arms of his eternal
companion and sweetheart Genevieve, never to be parted again. Homer was of
pioneer stock, being the great-grandson of William McClure Lemon and Charles
A. Harper, both Mormon pioneers of the first companies to reach the Salt Lake
Valley on July 23, 1847. He was born Feb. 24, 1915 in Francis, Summit County,
Utah and recently celebrated his 90th birthday. His parents were Harold Harper
Lemon and Hilda Jane Peterson. He was preceded in death by a sister; Ella Mae
(Leon) Jeppson, and a brother, Royal Woodrow (Janet Madsen) Lemon, and
son-in-law, Donald Garfield. As a young boy, he was baptized in a small creek
in Francis and was a life long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints. He joined the Navy as a young man and was a veteran of
World War II and later retired as a Chief Petty Officer after 23 years of
active service. He met his sweetheart, Genevieve, on a Greyhound bus while on
leave from the Navy and they were married on November 20, 1943. After retiring
from the Navy, Homer worked as a letter carrier for the Postal Service for
many years and then as an aircraft mechanic at Hill Air Force Base, from which
he retired. He also enjoyed working part time as a school crossing guard in
Salt Lake City. He loved fishing, even though he wasn't very good at it! He
enjoyed many hobbies including ham radio, growing orchids, four wheeling,
traveling with mom and the Wally Byam Airstream Club, including a trip to the
tip of the Yucatan peninsula one Summer, and raising canaries and pigeons. The
grandchildren loved to hear Grandpa trill like a canary or hee haw like a
donkey. One of his favorite callings was a temple worker in the Jordan River
Temple in his later years. From a first marriage to Agnes Howell, he has left
behind a daughter, Colleen Black, of Overland Park, Kansas. Homer and
Genevieve are both survived by their three sons and two daughters; David
Lemon, Stephen Lemon, Kevin (Linda) Lemon, Deborah Garfield, and Pamela Lemon,
eleven grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. He was a loving father,
grandfather, and great-grandfather. We love you Dad. Go in peace, until we
meet again. We wish to thank the caregivers at Heritage Place, and the Life
Care Center of Bountiful for all they did for Dad. Funeral Services will be
held Tuesday 11:00 a.m., June 7th, 2005 in the Murray 29th Ward Chapel, 6300
South 700 West. Friends may call at the Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 Highland
Drive, Monday 6-8 p.m. and at the ward from 9:45-10:45 a.m. on Tuesday.

McEntire, Michelle Sudweeks Miles
Michelle Sudweeks Miles McEntire 1965 ~ 2005 Michelle was born in Salt Lake
City Nov. 16, 1965 to Grant and Colleen Howell Sudweeks. She passed away in
Riverton, UT on May 31, 2005. Michelle was educated in Utah and California
before settling in Oklahoma for most of her adult life. She returned to Utah
for the mountains and to be near her special Grandma, Selena Sudweeks. Here
she met Carl Crump, her loving companion. Michelle had a sunny, bubbly
personality and loved being with people. She enjoyed family gatherings,
hooking rugs, and jigsaw puzzles. Recently she enjoyed learning to play golf
with Carl. Michelle is survived by her children, Braden Casey Miles (Randi),
and Curtis Dayton Miles (Heather), both of Oklahoma; parents, Grant Sudweeks
(Kathy) and Colleen Steed (Johnny Davis), North Carolina; her brother, Jeff
Sudweeks; her sister, Hillary Sudweeks; grandsons, Conner Hooper and Curtis
Miles, both of Oklahoma; two nephews Anthony and Brian Sudweeks, and many
aunts, uncles and cousins. Her infant son, Cameron Miles, Grandma and Grandpa
Howell and Grandpa Sudweeks preceded her in death. Funeral services will be
Monday, June 6, at 10 a.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 1950 E. 10600
S., Sandy. Friends may call on Sunday, 6 - 8 p.m. and Monday from 9 - 10 a.m.

Moody, Howard Jay
Howard Jay Moody 1927 ~ 2005 Howard Jay Moody, our beloved husband, father,
grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother, passed away in Sandy, UT on June
1, 2005. He was born April 30, 1927 to Edgar Rollo and Emma Floy Sorensen
Moody in Delta, Utah and was married to his sweetheart, Florence Marie
Birtcher, in the Manti LDS Temple. He served in the Eastern States Mission and
was veteran of World War II. He graduated with honors in business from BYU and
worked as an accountant and business manager in the automotive industry for 35
years. He loved the Lord and served diligently in the LDS Church, fulfilling
callings in bishoprics, stake presidency, stake president, and patriarch. His
joys were his family and the Savior. He is survived by his wife Florence and
children: Cheryl (Ron) Tate, Craig (Karlene), Jaydene (Chad) Washburn, Doug
(Chris), Darin (Marcia), Jennifer (Bradley) Bassi, 26 grandchildren, 18
great-grandchildren; sisters, Madge, Doreen, and Floy; and brothers, Paul,
Brian and Bruce. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Marilyn.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 6th at 12:00 noon at the Sandy Utah
Crescent South Stake Center, 275 E. 10600 S., Sandy, Utah. Friends may call
Sunday evening from 5:00-8:00 at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. 10600 S. and
Monday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the stake center. Interment will be at Larkin

Olsen, Russell Howard
Russell Howard Olsen He will be Missed Russell died at age 86. He and Gene had
been married for 59 years. They were parents of Howard, Karl, Craig and a
beautiful daughter Kyle Ann. Grandparents of 10, great-grandparents of three,
and one expected in November. At age eight Russ had spinal meningitis which
left him completely deaf in one ear and partial deaf in the other. When war
was declared in 1941, Russ tried to enlist in the Navy, but was rejected.
Several months later he was drafted into the Army Air Corps. After training at
Chanute Field he was sent to Mobile, Alabama where he was assigned to a Navy
ship. He spent all of his service time on board the ship. He participated in
many skirmishes in the South Pacific. He received Battle Stars for the
invasion of Iwo Jima and Saipan. He retired as Template Shop Foreman for
Chicago Bridge and Iron after 33 years of service. The family would like to
give heart felt thanks to Harmony Hospice. Their professional expertise
allowed Russ to remain home. The care of his devoted and skilled daughter
brought happiness and acceptance to his final weeks. Family services will be
held at the Salt Lake City cemetery on June 10th at 10:00 a.m. You may reply

Pironi, Clara Jean Springer
Clara Jean Springer Pironi 1927 ~ 2005 Clara Jean Springer Pironi died
Saturday May 28, 2005 following a courageous battle with Non-Hodgkin's
Lymphoma. She was born on June 21, 1927 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Clifford H.
and Maude Burton Springer. Attended public schools in Salt Lake, graduating
from Utah State University in 1949. She married George G. Pironi Jr. in San
Francisco, California on June 23, 1952. They lived in San Francisco and the
Bay Area raising their three sons. She taught in both public and private
schools in the area, later moving to Salt Lake where she worked in the real
estate business. She is survived by her husband George, sons; Michael
(Stephanie) in Boise, Idaho; Christopher in Woodland, Utah; Henry in Park
City, Utah; sister Joan Lloyd in Fresno, California and brother Dr. C. William
(Margaret) Springer in Holladay, Utah. Preceded in death by her parents. A
memorial service will be held at All Saints Episcopal Church, 1710 Foothill
Dr., on Monday June 6, 2005 at Noon. In lieu of flowers the family suggests
contributions be made to Shriner's Hospital for Children Intermountain at
Fairfax Road at Virginia Street, Salt Lake City, Utah 84103.

Ransom, Clytie Elizabeth Anderson
Clytie Elizabeth Anderson Ransom 1924 ~ 2005 ROY, UT- Our loving wife, mother
and grandmother, Clytie Elizabeth Anderson Ransom, 80, passed away on
Wednesday, June 1, 2005 at the The Residence Care Source in Murray, Ut. As a
result of a stroke, she had been living at Country Pines in Clinton, Utah for
the past three years, where all who cared for her loved her. She was born on
November 5, 1924 in McGill, Nevada, a daughter of LaVere C. and Clytie Leota
Robb Anderson. She was reared in Elwood and graduated from Bear River High
School along with her husband in 1942. Clytie married William Irving Ransom on
March 6, 1946 in Elwood, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the
Logan LDS Temple on April 15, 1968. She was a member of The Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in various callings. Clytie
earned her nursing degree from the University of Utah in 1945. Her career
included working in various hospitals, and working with physicians in
obstetrics and surgery. She ended her career with Utah County Public Health as
a school nurse administrator until she retired in 1992. She was a member of
the American Legion Auxiliary, Altrusa Club and Eagles. Clytie enjoyed
painting, cleaning, reading, traveling and handiwork, but most of all spending
time with her grandchildren. Clytie had a great sense of humor and was loved
by all. Surviving is her husband, Irving of Roy; two daughters, Marti
(Michael) Ransom-Andrew, Salt Lake City; Jill (Kit) Workman, West Point; three
grandchildren, Candice (Niel) Ekberg, Lehi; Elder Kristopher Workman, Arizona
Mesa Missions and Justin Workman; one brother, Neil C. (RaNae) Anderson,
Elwood; two sister-in-laws, Wilma Anderson, Elwood; Joyce (Darrell) Loveland,
Brigham City. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Frank
Anderson. The Ransom family would like to give thanks to all those who have
cared for Clytie during her struggle. Funeral services will be held on Monday,
June 6, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at the Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 E. 200 S.,
Brigham City, Utah. Friends may call on Sunday, 6-8 p.m. and on Monday from 12
noon-12:45 p.m. at the funeral chapel. Interment will be in the Bear River

Smith, William Owne
William Owen Smith "Smitty" (GG) Gone Fishin' Our beloved father, grandfather
and friend, W. Owen "Smitty" Smith passed away June 2, 2005 at his home. He
was born August 25, 1919 in Salt Lake City, to William Henry and Helen Smith.
Married Beth Edginton; later divorced. He served two years in the US Navy.
Married Afton Rossiter, she preceded him in death. Married Marvel Ashbridge
who also preceded him in death. Smitty worked for Kennecott Copper for 40
years; retired and started living his life. On his retirement, he joined the
49ers where he met so many friends. He enjoyed bowling, fishing and family
parties. He was loved by all, and will be missed by his many friends and
family. He is survived by his sons, Brent and Steve; sister, Ruby Hansen;
step-children, Steve, Stuart, Penny, Stan; 17 grandchildren; 20
great-grand-children and four great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will
be held Monday, June 6th, 11:00 a.m. at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 S.
Redwood Rd. A viewing will be held Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. and one hour
prior to services.

Weiler, Bonnie H.
Bonnie H Weiler 1930 ~ 2005 Bonnie H. Weiler, 75, passed away Wednesday, June
1, 2005 at the Jordan Valley Hospital. Bonnie was born on April 22, 1930 to
Wynn Snow and Blanche Haws Hansen in Logan, Utah. She married William F.
Weiler on February 5, 1955 in Fielding. She was a Bear River High School
graduate and attended Utah State University and graduated from Stanford
University. She lived in Tremonton for 35 years and spent the last eight years
in West Jordan. She was on the Library Board in Tremonton. Bonnie was a Grand
Master of Bridge and an avid reader. She continued to read five books a week
until her passing. She is survived by her four children: Steven (Dodi) Weiler
of West Jordan; Frank (Victoria) of Syracuse; Anne (Cecil) Claspell of Gilroy,
CA and James (Tori) Weiler of Highlands Ranch, CO. She is preceded in death by
her parents and her husband. A graveside service will be held Saturday, June
4, 2005 at 12:00 (noon) at the Tremonton Riverview Cemetery. Family and
friends may call Saturday prior to the service from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at Rogers
and Taylor Funeral Home located at 111 North 100 East, Tremonton. On-line
