Barker, Phyllis
Phyllis Barker "What's for Dinner?" Phyllis Evelyn Geer Barker, age 79, passed
away June 15, 2005 in West Valley City, Utah. Born December 3, 1925 in Tacoma,
Washington, daughter of Clarence Joshua and Calla McFarland Geer. Married
Preston Joe Barker December 4, 1948 in Puyallup, Washington. She was known as
a generous, caring person who would give someone else her last nickel or shirt
off her back before she helped herself. The family would like to extend their
appreciation to her grandson, Dustan Barker, who has been grandma and
grandpa's caregiver. Survived by her husband, Preston; son, Richard Cody
(Peggy) Barker; daughters, Susan (Courtney) Freitas, Judy Barker; four
grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Inurnment service will be held
Tuesday, 3:00 p.m. at Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West 4100 South, West
Valley City, Utah. Under the direction of McDougal Funeral Home.

Bergan, Margaret A. (Peggy)
Margaret A. Bergan (Peggy) Margaret A. Bergan (Peggy) passed on June 12, 2005
after a long fight with cancer. She is preceded in death by her husband of 52
years, Herbert and her sister Patricia. Peggy is survived by her brothers Tom,
Bill and Jim. She will be missed but remembered by her children Rich, Robert,
Dianne, Denise and Deborah. She leaves seven grandchildren Mudra, Ellyn,
Westie, Ryan, Megan, Hayley and Drew. Peggy's ashes will joined with Herb's
where they will be together forever. Memorial services will be held sometime
in late August. Anyone wishing to attend please contact the family. Peggy,
touched the heart of everyone who knew her, and her humor will not be
forgotten.

Berry, Ethella Olson
Ethella Olson Berry 1919 ~ 2005 Ethella Olson Berry, 86, died Tuesday at 11:16
p.m. in her home in Salt Lake City after a brief illness. Born March 6th,
1919, in Vernon UT, she was a daughter of Carl Arvil and Altania Ann Allred
Olson and was raised and educated in Provo, Utah. Following her marriage to
Robert Berry in February 1942 she lived in California, Florida, Salt Lake
City, Illinois, and Colorado. She had been a resident of Cupertino, CA for
over 20 years before returning to Salt Lake City 14 years ago. She was active
in community and religious organizations and served as a LDS Church Service
Missionary for many years. She unselfishly gave to others all her life and
touched the hearts of many. Survivors include four brothers: Jay, Ted, Ike and
Stan Olson, a son, RJ (Jane Seward) Berry of Atlanta, GA; two daughters:
Kristin (Tim) Duffy of SLC; and Becky (Chris) Matthews of Denver, CO; and 12
grandchildren. Viewing on Sunday June 19th from 6-8 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary
260 E South Temple. Funeral services will be at 12 p.m. on Monday June 20th at
the Emigration 27th E Ward, 185 "P" Street, Salt Lake City. Friends may call
one hour prior to services. Interment will take place in the Salt Lake City

Bitner, Erma "Joan"
Erma "Joan" Bitner 1933 ~ 2005 Erma "Joan" Bitner, age 72, passed away
peacefully at home on Wednesday, June 15, 2005. Joan was a loving wife,
mother, sister and grandmother who will be missed more than words can express
by all those who knew her. Joan was born February 7, 1933 to John V. and Erma
P. Bollwinkel. She married Keith Olson Bitner August 26, 1952 in the Salt Lake
Temple. Joan loved to latch-hook and she always displayed them on the walls
throughout her house. Joan loved collecting dolls and she always tried finding
those that looked like someone she knew. Joan is survived by her three
children, Joy Becky (Ray), Kerry (Bethany), Paul (Erin); eight grandchildren,
Matthew, Meghan, Kayla, Kyle, Steven, Alexis, Ryan and Rachael; brothers, John
J. "Jack" (Kay), James W. (Linda), Jeffrey L. (Joane); sister, Judy Badura
(Walter). Preceded in death by husband, Keith Olson Bitner; parents, John V.
and Erma P. Bollwinkel. Funeral Services will be Monday, June 20, 2005 at
Grant Stake Ward House, 3153 South 900 East, at 12 noon. Friends and Family
may call Sunday, from 5-7 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park (3401 South
Highland Drive) or one hour prior to the service at the Grant Stake Ward
House. Interment at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. Our thanks to Frankie, and all

Brown, Kenneth Eugene
Kenneth Eugene Brown 1913 ~ 2005 Kenneth Eugene Brown was born July 6, 1913 to
Eugene Albert Brown and Anna L. Christensen and passed away in his sleep at
his home in Sandy, Utah. Ken was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
Ken graduated from West High School in 1931, and after serving for three years
in the CCC's, Ken married Mary Leavitt on July 17, 1939. Their marriage was
later solemnized in the Los Angeles Temple in June of 1956. Mary preceded him
in death on Dec. 26, 1999. Ken worked for North American Rockwell in southern
California for over 40 years. He was an avid sports fan and loved collecting
and refining rocks and gems. Ken was active in the Midvalley 7th Ward, and he
and his wife, Mary, served as workers in the Jordan River Temple for more than
20 years. Ken is survived by three children, David Eugene Brown, Karen Ann
Davis, and Kathleen Mary Westerby. He loved and was devoted to his 15
grandchildren and 42 great-grand-children. The funeral service will be held on
Wednesday, June 22, at 11:00 a.m. in the Midvalley 7th Ward at 1211 E. 7800
South in Sandy. Family members and friends are invited to gather at 10:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to the LDS Church
Humanitarian Aid Program.

Karen M. Carter 1/28/1941 ~ 6/16/2005 Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother,
great-grandmother, sister and friend to all has left this world. We love her
and miss her dearly. Survived by husband, David I. Carter; children, Darby and
Chelene Paiz, Tricia and Glenn Blake, Emmery and Dawn Carter, Robert Carter,
and Tammy Carter; nine grandchildren; six and a half great-grandchildren.

Coolican, Beth Taylor Buchanan
Beth Taylor Buchanan Coolican 1918 ~ 2005 Beth Coolican, last surviving child
of M. M. and Cora Platt Taylor passed away Thursday, June 9, 2005 of cancer at
the age of 86. Beth was born in Salt Lake City, October 2, 1918. She married
Kenneth W. Buchanan (deceased). Married Harold K. Coolican (deceased). She was
a single parent that raised two wonderful children, David M. Buchanan
(deceased) and Dianne. Beth is survived by her daughter Dianne (James)
Whimpey; grandchildren, Michael (Janet), Jeff, Scott (Jennifer), Kendall,
Shelly (Chris) Weigert, Barclay Butera, and Brendon Butera;
great-grandchildren, Dalton, Cameron, Zachary, Avery and Quincy; Ross Henson
and Skyler Henson and several nieces and nephews. She was a quiet, unassuming,
loving person. She particularly enjoyed watching all sports, reading, solving
crossword puzzles and participating in family outings. Private graveside
services were held at the Sandy City Cemetery on June 16, 2005. The family
would like to express their gratitude to the Cottonwood Hospital ICU Staff for
their loving care and concern.

Betty Lee Dipietro 1925 ~ 2005 Betty Lee Dipietro, 79, passed away on June 15,
2005, in Salt Lake City. She was born October 4, 1925, in Denver Colorado.
Survived by children, Marlene, Brenda, Greg, Yvonne, Cathy, Allen, Chris,
Stephanie; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister Juanita. Preceded in
death by husbands, Edward Sparks and Frank Dipietro. A special thanks to
Highland Care Center for their loving care. A Memorial Service will be held on
Monday, June 20th at South East Christian Church located at 1881 East Vine
Street at 2:00 p.m. in Holladay.

Full, Helene Picq
Helene Picq Full 1/8/1913~6/15/2005 Helene passed away peacefully at her home
on the evening of June 15, 2005 surrounded by those who loved her Helene was
born in Marseilles, France and grew up in the beautiful walled city of Avignon
in Provence, where she trained as a dress designer and seamstress. She came to
the United States in 1939, sailing on the final voyage of the Normandie. She
lived in Spokane, Washington where she established her business, Helene Picq
Designs. She was married to Roy Perry Full in Spokane on October 20, 1945.
They later moved to Salt Lake City in 1949. Helene loved entertaining and
preparing gourmet meals. Every dish no matter how simple was prepared with
love and dedication in her own special way. There are so many wonderful
memories of celebrations in the kitchen and meals beyond compare. Her
daughter, Miette Full Murphy, and her son-in-law Dan Murphy survive Helene.
Although not related by blood she was Grandma Helene to Mike and Kara Murphy,
Wendy Murphy, Mark Murphy, and Amy Willbrand and Grand Bonne Meme to John
Patrick Murphy. She loved them with all her heart. A private celebration of
her life will be held for family and close friends at a date to be determined.
The family is grateful to Dr. Frederick Gottlieb and VistaCare hospice nurses,
Erin and Emily. They made a difference.

Hambleton, Ben Henry
Ben Henry Hambleton 3/3/1920 ~ 6/16/2005 Ben Henry Hambleton, 85, of Salt Lake
City, UT, passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2005 in Salt Lake City. Ben was
born March 3, 1920 in St. Eldorado, AR to Ammon and Cora Hambleton.Ben was in
D-Day, +2 landing on Utah Beach, during World War II. He retired from
Kennecott Copper after 35 years, where he mostly worked at the Smelter as an
Industrial Engineer. Ben enjoyed many hobbies including golf, skiing and
bowling. Ben is survived by his devoted wife, and high school sweetheart,
Marjorie Ray, married for 63 years; daughters, Judy Edwards and Patti (Garth)
Wiemer; six grandchildren: Stephanie (Spencer) Nelson, Robert Edwards, Riley,
Tesi, Momikai and Jeb Hambleton Wiemer; nine great-grandchildren. Preceded in
death by his parents, two sisters and one brother. Thank you to St. Mark's
hospital and CareSource Hospice for their kind and loving care of dad. At
Ben's request no services will be held and a private family burial will take

Harrington, Ella Robinson (Robbie)
Ella Robinson Harrington (Robbie) Ella Robinson Harrington died June 17, 2005
in Salt Lake City. She was born on Dec. 7, 1907 in Laketown, Utah, the fifth
of eight children born to Lucy Barker and George Henry Robinson. She attended
school in Laketown, LDS High School in Salt Lake City, graduated from LDS
Hospital Nursing School in 1931, and the University of Utah in 1933. Ella
worked as a nurse in the Marine Hospital in San Francisco, CA, later at LDS
Hospital in Salt Lake and the Primary Children's Hospital. She did volunteer
work at the University of Utah Natural History Museum and the DUP Museum in
Salt Lake. Ella married Russell Taylor Harrington (Bish) on Sept. 7, 1936.
They had three children. Ella will be remembered for her red hair, her sense
of humor, her friendliness to those who needed a friend, her knitting and
making Barbie clothes and pi ata parties. All four of Ella's grandchildren
lived with her while attending the U. She was proud that they all graduated.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, four sisters, her
husband, her son Russell Robinson Harrington and her daughter Ann Harrington.
Ella is survived by daughter Lucy, her husband Charles Griffiths, four
grandchildren: Garnett Griffiths, Linda (Allen) Saxton, David Russell
Griffiths, Cheryl Ann (Ron) Lorenz, five great-grandchildren, sister-in-law
Maleta Robinson, daughter-in-law Carolyn Ross and numerous nieces and nephews
and their families. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2005 at
2:00 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, where friend and family
may gather one hour prior to the services. Interment to follow in the Salt
Lake City Cemetery. The family wishes to thank Cheri and the staff at Elderly
Manor for six and a half years of tender loving care.

Michelle Penny Gaal Hendricksen 1958 ~ 2005 Michelle Penny Hendricksen, age
46, passed away June 14, 2005 in Murray, Utah. Michelle was born September 24,
1958 in Salt Lake City, Utah to John J. Gaal and Marilyn Hobbs. She so loved
her family and her dear grandchildren. She will be missed. Michelle is
survived by her sons, Jamie Gaal and Jesse Gaal-Young; parents, John Gaal and
Marilyn Hobbs; sisters, Debra Gruber, and Cindy Bailey; and four
grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Monday, June 20, 2005, 12 noon at
the Jordan 1st Ward Chapel, 4165 So. 3920 W. The family will receive friends
at a viewing Sunday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 W.
4100 So., and from 10:45-11:45 a.m. on Monday prior to the service at the
Ward. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.

Hinkley, Marian
Marian Hinkley 1942 ~ 2005 Our beloved mother, Marian Jean Hendrikx Hinkley
passed away June 17, 2005 in Holladay, Utah. Born August 16, 1942 in Long
Beach, CA to Johannus Harrison and Shirley Rose McLean Hindrikx. Marian was an
active member of the LDS Church and loved genealogy. She worked for Jordan
School District for 23 years. She liked animals and loved children. Survived
by her sons, Jerry Johnson, Thomas Hinkley, and John Hinkley; step children,
Doug and Diane Hinkley; many brothers and sisters; and many extended family
and friends. Preceded in death by her parents; son, Benjamin Hinkley; and
step-son, David Hinkley. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, June
22, 2005 at the Riverside Chapel, 500 South 1150 West, where friends may call
10-10:45 a.m. before services. Interment: West Jordan Cemetery. Condolences

Huish, Scott Edward
Scott Edward Huish 1954 ~ 2005 Scott Edward Huish, born March 30, 1954 in
Provo, UT beloved son of John and Fawn Huish, passed away of Natural Causes,
at his home in Del Mar, California on June 7, 2005. He leaves behind his
parents and two adoring daughters, Shannaleigh Huish and Breelynn Bailey.
Scott grew up in Orem, Utah, where he adventured to the fullest, skiing,
softball playing and motorcycling. He married Pamela Blackley, the mother of
his daughters. They divorced and remained best of friends. He moved to Del
Mar, California in 1987 and established his own investment management company
in 1994. Working out of his home with a successful business, he had the
flexibility to take afternoons off to pursue his favorite passion, golf. Scott
was a natural at every sport he undertook, golf was certainly no exception! He
achieved two holes in one, almost unheard of! His bright eyes and sparkling
wit were enjoyed by everyone he came in contact with. Scott was an amazing
free spirit with unbelievable humor, wisdom, beauty, sensitivity and insight.
He will be missed tremendously by his friends and family. In addition to his
parents and daughters he is survived by his brother, Todd Huish Orem, UT and
sisters Jackie Durrant, Sandy, UT and Shari Olsen of Tempe, Arizona. Friends
and family are invited to attend a memorial to celebrate Scott on Tuesday June
21st, 2005 1 pm at Conrad Ranch Homestead 5591 East Southfork Road Provo.

Hutchins, Lydia Ruth
Lydia Ruth Hutchins 1/9/55 ~ 6/11/05 Lydia Ruth Hutchins passed away
peacefully surrounded by friends and family as a result of colon cancer. Lydia
was born January 9, 1955 in Alexandria, VA to Joseph and Lydia Walter. She
graduated from Burlingame High School in Burlingame, CA in 1975 and attended
the College of San Mateo where she earned a degree as a Hair Stylist. Lydia
married Bob Hutchins in 1979 and they became the proud parents of Andrea, whom
they adopted in 1991. Lydia loved being at home, tending her gardens and
taking care of her dogs. All that knew her will miss her beautiful smile. We
will remember her as a wonderful friend with a warm heart and a helping hand.
We could always depend on Lydia to be strong, understanding, caring and
thoughtful. Lydia is survived by her husband, Bob, daughter, Andrea, father,
Joseph Walter, sisters (Cheryl and Mary), and brother, Joe. Her mother
preceded her in death. The family plans to celebrate Lydia's life with a
private gathering in California.

Jennings, Arvil Alma
Arvil Alma Jennings "Rooster Dalton" S.A.S.S. Our beloved husband, father,
grandpa and friend Arvil Alma Jennings passed away Thurs. June 16, 2005. Born
the youngest of 12 March 3rd 1931 in Salt Lake City, UT to Henry Milton
Jennings and Estella Dalton. He was a member of the LDS church. He served in
the Navy. Married Ramona Maddox Eyre Jan. 4, 1951. Later Divorced. Raised six
children. Married his sweetheart Diane Thomaszewski September 2nd 1978. He
loved his wife and family. Having a competitive spirit, he excelled in
whatever he attempted. Arv was a mechanical engineer at Tooele Amly Depot.
Retired 1986. He loved golf, cooking, tennis, horseshoes (state champion),
billiards, bench rest shooting, and cowboy shooting. He was a member of the
Elks and Eagles clubs. He was preceded in death by son Calvin (Carol) and 10
brothers and sisters. He is survived by his loving caring partner, Diane, five
children: Allan (Judy), Ken, (Sheila), Gary (Jackie), Brenda Ivy (Keith),
DeeAnn Vigil (Eddie) 16 grandchildren five great-grandchildren, brother Dell
(Betty), dear friends John and Carol Tapp and Taja, his furry friend. A
special thanks to the staff at Promise Rehab at Pioneer Valley Hospital. In
lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Humane Society
or charity of choice. A memorial service will be held Wednesday 11 a.m. at
Tate Mortuary 110 So. Main, Tooele, UT friends may call that morning 10 - 11
a.m.

Jensen, James Ray
James Ray Jensen 1919 ~ 2005 James Ray Jensen was born on June 14, 1919 in
Roosevelt, Utah to Oscar and Erma Jensen. He died on June 17, 2005 in Salt
Lake City, Utah. Ray was the oldest of seven and spent his early years in the
Uintah Basin where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, swimming in the Green River,
horse back riding, and occasionally stealing a watermelon or two. From his
father he learned the value of hard work and rising early. Until his decline
in health, he loved getting up early and working, whether in his job, his
yard, or helping others. Ray was proud of his service in the Army. During
World War II he served with the 255th Anti-Aircraft Artillery Battalion as a
radio operator and did a tour to the Aleutian Islands. While in the military
he met the love of his life, Josephine Rice. They were married on July 14,
1941 and were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. They settled in Jo's home
town, Pocatello, Idaho where Ray went to work at the Naval Ordinance Plant and
shortly thereafter went to school for industrial refrigeration. Ray moved his
family to Salt Lake in 1952 to obtain better education and training for their
son Steven who has cerebral palsy. Ray was a constant advocate for Steven. He
worked until his retirement as an industrial refrigeration mechanic for Hupp
and Rosier Refrigeration. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints. Ray was known for his compassion and service to others. He
was always willing to help anyone in need and was sensitive to others. His
greatest love was his family, including his grandchildren and
great-grand-children. He was always excited to see them and immensely proud of
their accomplishments. Ray also loved golfing, camping, boating, and water
skiing. Ray is survived by his three sons, all of the Salt Lake Valley: Ronald
(Sandy) Jensen, Terry (Karen) Jensen, Steven Jensen, eight grandchildren and
18 great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters. He is preceded in death by his
wife, Josephine Rice Jensen. There will be a viewing at Larkin Mortuary, 260
East South Temple, Tuesday night from 6 to 8. On Wednesday the funeral will be
at the Salt Lake 11th Ward, 951 East 100 South starting at noon with a viewing
one hour prior. Interment will be at the Larkin Sunset Gardens,1950 East 10600
South immediately following the services.

Kyremes, Katina N.
Katina N. Kyremes 1910 ~ 2005 Katina Kyremes passed from this life to the next
on June 16, 2005. She was born on October 26, 1910, in Levidon, Greece to
Vassili and Panagiota Skoulas. She married Nick Kyremes in 1929 and came to
this country as a young bride to make a new life with her husband. She was a
true philanthropist and was one of the founders of the Central City Community
Center. Also, in memory of her son she established the annual Demitrios
Kyremes Scholarship at Westminster College and was a patron of the Hellenic
Cultural Association. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox
Church, loved her faith and was proud of her heritage. She is survived by her
brother George and sisters Eleni, Eugenia and Christina along with numerous
nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Nick and her son
Dimitri Kyremes. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 20, 2005 at 12:30
p.m. at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 279 S. 300 West. A viewing will be
held at Evans & Early Mortuary, 574 E. 100 South from 5:00-6:30 p.m. with
Trisagion service at 6:00 p.m. In lieu of lowers she asked that friends and
family make a donation in her name to a charity of their choice. She was loved
by many and will be sorely missed by her friends and family. May her memory be
eternal.

Larson Jr., Albert Edward
Albert Edward Larson Jr. "ABE" Albert Edward Larson Jr. passed away on June
16, 2005. He was born on January 7, 1932 to Albert E. Sr. and Betty Lugt
Larson. He served in the U.S. Army. He married Pauline Turner on February 18,
1956. He worked as a painter for 50 years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with

Genevieve Caldwell Leavitt 09/12/24 ~ 06/17/05 Genevieve Caldwell Leavitt
passed away on June 17, 2005. Genevieve was born on Sept. 12, 1924 in St. John
(Rush Valley), Tooele, Utah. She married Don L. Leavitt on January 16, 1944.
She worked as a Secretary at Hill Air Force Base for 27 years. For over 30
years she loved to Square Dance with her husband in which they would travel to
Canada, Mexico, and many places here in the U.S. Through the years she would
prepare meals for Family Gatherings and Holidays, (Most of all for the
tailgates at the U of U football games). She is survived by her loving husband
of 61 years, Don Leavitt, son Dennis (Ardith) Leavitt, Sandy, Utah, daughter
Marsha (John) Enochs, Vaughn, Montana, 13 grandchildren, 17
great-grandchildren, her brother Sherian Caldwell and sister Dorothy Caldwell
Thompson. She was preceded in death by her parents, a great-grandson Bryson
Tanner Zeltner, two brothers Pete and Reid Caldwell, and sister LaPreal
Nelson. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her. We
would like to express our Love and Thanks to the staff at the Murray Care
Center for the loving care they gave to her during her short stay. Funeral

Lloyd, May
May Lloyd 1904 ~ 2005 Our beloved Lola May Mills Lloyd passed away on June 15,
2005. She died of causes incidental to a long, healthy, happy life. She was
born May 21, 1904 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Annie Parry Jones and Howard
Samuel Mills. On November 4, 1928 she married her sweetheart Walter B. Lloyd.
She is survived by her son Richard Laurence Lloyd, five grandchildren and two
great-grandchildren. We all have many fond memories of spending fun filled
summer days in our grandparents swimming pool. May enjoyed bowling and playing
bridge with her friends. She bowled a 236 when she was in her 70's. May was
very talented at needle work. She was always working on a knitting, crocheting
or needlepoint project for a family member or one of her many friends. May was
a wonderful friend, mother and grandmother. She was so loving, kind and
generous we will all miss her greatly. A graveside service will be held at
Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 Highland Drive on Tuesday, June 21 at 3:30
p.m. A heartfelt thank you to all the compassionate care givers at Holladay
Health Care and Care Source. We will be forever grateful for their loving
care.

Marsden, James Lyman
James Lyman Marsden "Loving Husband and Father" James Lyman Marsden passed
away suddenly in St. George, Utah with his sweetheart by his side. He was born
October 11, 1924 in Taylorsville, Utah to Clyde and Annie Ivy Skeen Marsden.
He married his sweetheart, Donna Louise Reynolds, on November 4, 1942 in the
Salt Lake Temple. James served in the United States Army during World War II.
He was active in the LDS Church, served on the High Council, and held many
church positions. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. His greatest joy
was actively participating in the lives of his grandchildren and
great-grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years; children,
Linda L. Marsden, Jacklyn A. (Paul) Nordhoff, James C. (Jody) Marsden, and
Sandra K. (Dennis) Pond; 20 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two
brothers, C. Skeen Marsden, and Hal S. Marsden. Preceded in death by his
parents, two sisters, and one grandson. Funeral services will be held on
Monday, June 20, 2005 at 11 a.m. at the Union Fort 6th Ward, 1300 E. 6710 So.
Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So.

Garth Young McClure 11/29/58 ~ 6/13/05 Born to Ralph Y. McClure and Donna May
McClure Summerhays. Garth was a generous shining light to all who knew or met
him. He graduated from Skyline High School, where he was a linebacker on the
1977 undefeated 4A state champion football team. He decided to go into the car
business where he excelled and became a manager at many different car
dealerships. In 1993, he opened his own used car lot in North Salt Lake, until
his death. Garth loved boating and being with his children and has left behind
100's of friends. "REST IN PEACE MY FRIEND, MY SON, MY DAD, MY BROTHER" We all
love you and will miss your vibrant smile and endless energy. Garth is
survived by his father Ralph Y McClure (Eilean), his mother Donna M.
Summerhays (Walter R.), brothers Steve McClure (Travis), Bradley McClure
(Tess) and his children McKenzie, Skyler, Robin and Jillian. To the best
brother a guy could ever have. You were always there to protect me! I will
miss you and will keep you with me always until the day we do meet again. We
will honor your wishes. We hope you found the peace you were always looking
for but never found. I LOVE YOU!! Goodbye, until tomorrow. A celebration of
Garth's life will be planned at a later date, when the family is better able.

Shane Miller Arlan Keith Shane, age 40, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2005
quietly in his sleep. He was born in So Amboy, NJ on June 9, 1965. Shane had a
great love for the outdoors. He loved helping with Scouts and coaching his
son's Bingham football team in So Jordan. He had a magnetic personality and
always gave himself to others without a selfish thought. Preceded in death by
his father Arlen and brother David. Married-Jeneal, later divorced. Survived
by his son Ian "his little buddy", Becky "the Love of his Life",
step-daughters: Jessi and Jenny, mother Diane, siblings: Cindy (Rocky), Shawn
(Ross), Geoff (Launa), and many close nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and
cousins. Funeral services will be held on Wed., June 22 at 2:00 p.m. at
Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 Highland Dr., where friends and family may call on
Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 and on Wednesday at 12:45. Interment at Wasatch Lawn

Mower, Michael Barte
Michael Barte Mower 1946 ~ 2005 ST. GEORGE, UT - Michael Barte Mower, age 58,
passed away peacefully following a courageous battle with liver cancer on June
18, 2005, in St. George, Utah. He was born June 28, 1946, in Salt Lake City,
Utah to Roy Lewis and Reah Farnsworth Mower. He married Kaye Nunley on August
26, 1972, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Michael graduated from South High School in
Salt Lake City, Utah in 1964. He served in the Army National Guard for six
months of duty. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints and served an LDS mission to England. He graduated from the University
of Utah with a Bachelors Degree in Industrial Psychology. Michael was a
talented musician and loved to play many instruments including the sax, flute,
oboe, English horn, and keyboard. He supported himself through college by
playing in a dance band. The family moved to California in 1980, where Mike
worked in management in the insulation and construction industry. He is
survived by his wife Kaye of St. George, UT; his daughter, Tisa (Mark) Hedman
of Salt Lake City, UT; his son, Michael (Nicole) Mower of Orange, CA; four
grandchildren; his mother, Reah F. Wilcken of St. George, UT; a brother, Lewis
L. (Janet) Mower; and two sisters, Bonnie J. Mower, and Susan (Harold) Vordos.
He was preceded in death by his father Roy Lewis Mower, and one daughter
Melissa Mower. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 25, 2005, at 11
a.m., at the Metcalf Mortuary Chapel, 288 W. St. George Blvd. A visitation
will be held Friday, June 24, 2005, from 6-8 p.m., and Saturday, June 25, from

Barbara Gay Johnson Noble 1935 ~ 2005 Barbara Johnson Noble (Mrs. Joseph M.
Noble) died June 17, 2005, in Salt Lake City, Utah surrounded by loving
members of her family. She was born March 9, 1935 to Raymond M. Johnson and
Marjorie Stringham Johnson. She attended Salt Lake City schools including East
High School. She graduated cum laude from the University of Utah and was a
member of the Phi Kappa Phi honor society. She graduated from Northwestern
University college of Physical Therapy and practiced as a Registered Physical
Therapist in Salt Lake City for many years. She married Joseph M. Noble in the
Salt Lake City Temple. She is survived by her husband, Joseph; two sons, David
M. (Gail) and Michael R. (Annette) Noble; 10 grandchildren; and four
great-grand-children all who she dearly loved. She was preceded in death by
her parents; a daughter, Joanne (Mrs. Barry L. Crawford); and a grandson,
Richard "Alex" Monroe Noble. Barbara was a dedicated and loving wife, mother
and care giver. Her life exemplified love, service and concern for others. A
member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many
callings including Cub Scouts and Blazer Scouts for 25 years, Relief Society
Presidency, Primary Presidency, Jr. Sunday School Coordinator and visiting
teaching. Barbara's greatest joys came from the time spent traveling, visiting
and learning first hand the experiences, accomplishments, joys and growth of
her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren- all of whom she greatly
loved. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 22, 2005, 12 noon at the
Winder 10th ward, 4366 South 1500 East. Friends and family may visit Tuesday,

Robert E. "Bob" Osiek 1936 ~ 2005 LAVERKIN, UTAH - Robert E. "Bob" Osiek went
home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 18, 2005. He was born October 1,
1936, in Vernal, Utah, to Louis Francis Osiek and Rosetta Larsen Osiek. He
married Leah Jeanene Nunley on July 17, 1959, in Norwalk, California. Bob was
raised in Vernal, attended Uintah High School and served four years in the
United States Marine Corps. After his honorable discharge from the Marine
Corps, he lived in Southern California for 10 years, where he built swimming
pools. Bob moved his family to Vernal in 1969, where he worked in the oil
field and as a truck driver. He retired and moved to Southern Utah in 1988. He
enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, traveling and spending time with his family
and friends. He was a member and deacon of the First Southern Baptist Church
of Hurricane, Utah. He is survived by his wife, Leah, of LaVerkin; daughters,
Sherry (Dennis) Wagner, of LaVerkin, and Dana (Joe) Stone, of Las Vegas; son,
Cary (Rayna) Osiek, of Vernal; and daughter, Robin Ireland, of Las Vegas; 12
grandchildren; two great-grand-children; sisters, Melba (Don) Boothe, of West
Jordan, Betty (Henry) White, of Vernal, Kaye (Ron) Anderson, of Vernal; and
brother, Glen (Jeaneen) Osiek, of North Salt Lake. A memorial service will be
held Tuesday, June 21, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. at First Southern Baptist Church,

Pett, Ethelyn Cannon
Ethelyn Cannon Pett 1907 ~ 2005 After a life richly lived nearly a century,
Ethelyn Cannon Pett, 97, died June 16, 2005, in Salt Lake City. Ethelyn "Et"
Cannon Pett was born December 12, 1907, in Salt Lake City, to Caroline Young
Croxall Cannon and Willard Telle Cannon, and was granddaughter of George Q.
Cannon and great-granddaughter of Brigham Young. She attended LDS High School,
East High School, the University of Utah, and the University of California at
Berkeley, from which she graduated with a degree in Economics. She married
James Arthur Pett, Sr., August 20, 1934. Et was a very social person who loved
parties, "a friend of fun," as well as someone who regularly attended Utah
Symphony concerts, chamber music concerts, art exhibits, and the opera; and
read widely. Her travels took her to Mexico, Europe, Egypt, Japan, China, and
Thailand. She was a commanding presence at the bridge table. She skied, played
tennis, and especially enjoyed golf. Her family often heard her tickling "Tea
for Two" on the piano and her homes reflected her good taste and interest in
interior decoration. A member of the Town Club, the Salt Lake Country Club,
the Junior League, and a study club which met regularly for decades, Et also
volunteered at the Utah Museum of Fine Arts, Holy Cross Hospital, and then the
University of Utah Medical Center into her eighties. Predeceased by her
husband and all six of her brothers and sisters, Ethelyn is survived by her
children, James Arthur Pett, Jr. (Marjorie), Jane Semmel (Kenneth, deceased),
Stephen Willard Pett (Clare Cardinal), and eight flawless grandchildren. The
family wishes to thank Karen Hodgsen and the staff of Brighton Gardens of Salt
Lake City for devoted care in recent years. Friends and family are invited to
a memorial observance at the Town Club, 1081 East South Temple, Saturday, June

Arthur V. Plautz "Papa" 1924 ~ 2005 Arthur V. Plautz, loving husband, father
and grandfather passed away June 16, 2005. He was born April 10, 1924 in
Milwaukee, WI to Arthur W. and Evelyn Vincent Plautz. He served his country in
the Navy during World War II and retired from the US Army as a Chief Warrant
Officer in 1965. He married Rose Vernola in Bell, CA in 1945 and spent their
60 years together in a variety of locations throughout the world. He enjoyed
painting, bowling and puttering around the house. He had a great sense of
humor and loved to tell jokes. Survived by his wife, Rose, his children Carol
("Sparky") Terry, Rick (Kim) and George and grandchildren Ricky and Jesse
Plautz. Art will be laid to rest with military honors at Arlington National

Gwen Leavitt Pulsipher 1/12/1925~6/16/2005 Gwen Leavitt Pulsipher, age 80,
passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 16, 2005, surrounded by her loving
family. Gwen was born January 12, 1925 in Bunkerville, Nevada to John and
Lillian Leavitt. Gwen married H. Stewart Pulsipher September 23, 1942 in the
St. George LDS Temple. Gwen was a busy mother who has taken good care of her
family. She was a hard worker inside her home, canning, and outside in the
orchard She worked side by side with Stewart building their homes. She was
faithful member of the LDS church and served faithfully in many callings. Gwen
is survived by her husband, H. Stewart; children; Errol (Paula), Bryan
(Debra), Darron (Tracee); 14 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; sister,
June Waite; brother, Reed (Barbara) Leavitt; sisters-in-law, Bernece (Orson)
Leavitt, Lucille (Keith) Lewis. Preceded in death by a son Leon; parents;
mother and father-in-law; two brothers, and one sister. Funeral services will

John Robbins Radley "Raddles" BACAU, ROMANIA - John Robbins Radley, age 46,
passed away due to a heart attack, June 9, 2005. Born, March 11, 1959, in Salt
Lake City, Utah to Keith "C" Radley, Sr., DDS and Sylvia Ann Robbins Radley.
Former spouse to Julie and Gabrielle. Father of Tara Lynn Radley, whom he
loved and adored, until she passed away at the tender age of two. John was a
man full of big dreams. His free spirit led him to many adventures during his
lifetime. He was an accomplished artist with a style similar to Dr. Suess.
Former member of the Colored Pencil Society of America. He served many years
as a chef at country clubs in Salt Lake City and Chicago. While living in
Bacau, Romania he helped open and run an orphanage and was currently the owner
of an aupair business. Former Liaison to the US Embassy in Romania. During the
last six years, he was able to visit many countries in Europe and experienced
a new found freedom. John enjoyed traveling, fishing, outdoor water sports,
camping, working with children, and creating his unique art work. He was
devoted to his mother. He loved his brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
Survived by three brothers and two sisters: Keith "C" Radley Jr. (Janine),
Sandy, UT; Elizabeth A Box (Ken), Sweet Springs, MO; Kirk "C" Radley and Scott
Buckley, Portland, OR; Victoria Pearson-Buckmiller (Brad), Venice, FL; Robbins
Andrew Radley (Karen), Price; 13 nieces and nephews; and six great-nieces.
Preceded in death by daughter, Tara Lynn Radley; mother; father; brother,
James Jerome Radley; and nephew, Ryan Lane Pearson. Graveside service, Monday.

Darrell J. Riley "DJ" MAGNA-Darrell J. Riley "DJ" passed away June 16, 2005 in
West Valley City, Utah of natural causes. He was born June 10, 1930 in
Garfield to Francis and Matilda Riley. His wife, Rogelyn Picket, who he dearly
missed, will be waiting in heaven with open arms. DJ spent most of his life in
Magna. He served in the US Army during the Korean War, and was a member of
operation Big Switch. After being discharged he worked for Kennecott Copper
for 25 years. He loved the outdoors, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He
loved to dance and sing karaoke with his friends. He was the center of any
crowd and could always make you smile and laugh. DJ was a very kind and high
spirited man. Everyone who met him loved him. Survived by his son, Richard
(Doris "Dora") Riley; grandchildren, Stephanie, Steven, Michelle, and Ricky; 3
great grandchildren; sister, LaRae Langlan; and all of his friends in Magna
who he spoke of so often. "Goodbye Dad, we love you and we will miss you. You
will always be in our hearts and memories. Until we meet again." The family

Joseph Lucian Royall Jr. 1927 ~ 2005 Joseph Lucian Royall Jr., 78, died
Thursday, June 16, 2005 at Evanston Regional Hospital. Joseph was born March
18, 1927 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Joseph Lucian and Hazel Melvina (Rowe)
Royall Sr. On June 6, 1991 he married Joan Lucille Steiner in Las Vegas,
Nevada. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City, Utah Temple
on December 28, 1997. Joseph was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints where he served as a greeter and handed out programs. He
enjoyed selling die-cast cars. Joseph is survived by his wife, Joan, of
Evanston; sons, Steve (wife Melodie) of Collinsville, Oklahoma; Michael D.
(Karen), of East Carbon, Utah; James W. of Tulsa, Oklahoma; John E. of Tulsa,
Oklahoma; and Joe A. of Colorado Springs, Colorado; daughter, Pam Powers, of
Peculiar, MO; a brother, Paul (Eula) Royall, sisters, Elvie Leary and Hazel
(Don) Vaughn all of Salt Lake City, UT. He is also survived by 11
grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, two step daughters, six step
grandchildren and seven step great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by
his parents, two brothers, Steve and Dan, and a sister, Betty Aardema.

Teresa Sargent 1923 ~ 2005 Our dearly loved and devoted mother, grandmother,
great-grand-mother, sister and aunt, Teresa Sumsion Sargent, age 82, passed
away gently on June 17, 2005. She was born February 14, 1923 in Springville,
UT, to Elvin and Belle Sumsion. Married Dr. Glen Sargent in Logan LDS Temple
on August 2nd, 1950. He preceded her in death on June 25, 1991. She was an
avid supporter of her children and grandchildren as they grew up going to all
types of events. She taught kindergarten at Whittier and Magna Elementary for
26 years. She was active in the LDS Church serving in many church callings
including missions to Iowa Des Moines (with her husband), Washington DC and
most recently as a service missionary in Salt Lake. Survived by sons, David,
Paul (Jayne), Scott (Lynell); 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren;
brothers and sisters, Elsie Perry, Beverly Miller, Gene (Elaine), Russell,
Suzanne (Dean) Andrews, Keith (Barbara); in-laws, Ray and Lois Sargent, Norman
and Nola Sargent, Buster and Donna Keyes, Louie and Myrl Vernon. Preceded in
death by parents; parents-in-law, David and Lucille Sargent, sisters, Lucille
(Stan) Brown, Joyce (Art) Mitchell; sisters-in-law, Fawn Sumsion, Sydney
Sumsion; and brother-in-law, Reed Perry. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday
12 noon, at the Spencer 1st Ward LDS Chapel, 3084 South 8400 West, Magna.

Sirianni, Joseph Carmen
Joseph Carmen Sirianni 1968 ~ 2005 Joseph Carmen Sirianni, fun loving son,
brother, uncle, nephew and cousin left us suddenly on June 16 2005, from heart
failure. Joe was born March 3rd, 1968 to Albina Alberico and Carmen Sirianni.
Joe graduated from Cyprus High School. He lived in West Valley City all his
life and had numerous friends. Everyone who ever met Joe, instantly liked him.
He coached little league football for the Cyprus Pirates for four years. He
loved children and all his young cousins and they all loved to play with
"Cousin Joe". He was our "Big Burly Bear". He especially adored his little
nephew Dominic and had a wonderful relationship with his beloved sister Tina
and parents Albina and Carmen. Joe loved rock and roll, the Pittsburg Steelers
and his extended Italian family. He was his Aunt Kay's favorite nephew and he
would often remind her of this. Joe was self-employed as a carpet installer
for much of his adult life. He also worked for Rail Terminal Services for five
years and was currently employed with Fratto & Sons. Joe overcame many
challenges in his life and was an inspiration to his entire family. He is
survived by his father Carmen, sister Tina, (Sam) Lewis, nephew Dominic,
special Aunt Kay Fratto and numerous aunts, cousins and friends. He was
preceded in death by his adoring mother, Albina. A Funeral Mass will be
celebrated Tuesday 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church 4501 West
5215 South. A Vigil service will be held Monday 7:30 p.m. where friends may
call from 6-7:30 p.m. and one hour prior Tuesday also at the church. Committal
Mt. Calvary Cemetery 4th Ave. & T Street. Director's Neil O'Donnell and Sons.

Smith, LaVeral Thomas
LaVeral Thomas Smith 1919 ~ 2005 On June 16, 2005, Heavenly Father welcomed
home one of the most precious gifts. He gave us; a mother, grandmother, wife,
sister, friend. LaVeral Smith passed peacefully into Heavenly Father's arms in
Bountiful, Utah. She was born to parents Joseph Henry Thomas and Melvina J.
Harwood, December 12, 1919. She married her sweetheart, Lynn Ross Smith, July
18, 1938. In her 86 years on earth, she brought joy, happiness and love to the
lives of many people. She served her Heavenly Father most valiantly in
callings throughout her life. She also served as a temple worker for the last
ten years in Bountiful temple. LaVeral lived her life for her grandchildren
and they adored her. We have all been blessed to have had her example in our
lives. We look forward to the day our family will be reunited again. LaVeral
is survived by two daughters, Linda Smoot (Paul-deceased), Mary Ann Besse
(Thomas); grandchildren: Kelly, Lynette, David Bryan, Bradley, Mike, Michelle,
Thomas Jr., April, Matthew; and 21 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will
be held Monday, June 20, 2005 at 10 a.m. at the Bountiful 5th Ward, 990 North
Chapel Drive (100 West), where friends may call from 9:15 - 9:45 a.m. at the
church prior to services. Interment-Bountiful City Cemetery.

Stephen Douglas Singleton Smith 1973 ~ 2005 Stephen Douglas Singleton Smith
passed away on June 11, 2005, in Hermiston, Oregon. He was born on January 3,
1973, in Salt Lake City to E. Ann and Douglas Singleton, later adopted by
Robert D. and Ann Smith. He married Terry O'Neil on January 26, 2000. He
enjoyed skating, music, snowboarding, horticulture, fishing, camping, and
video games with his friends. He was a forklift operator at Wal-mart. He loved
his grandkids (17 step-grandchildren) who loved him dearly. He is survived by
wife, Terry O'Neill-Smith; step-children, Kristy Snow, Gregg Weber, Toni
Weber, Terry Weber; 17 step-grandchildren, who really love him; parents, Ann
and Robert Smith; natural father, Douglas Singleton; sisters, Tara (John)
Beck, Tiffany (Oscar) Ruiz, Christy (Brian) Anderson; brothers, Jerry (Tracy)
Davidson, Rob (Amber) Smith, Jeremy (Jill) Smith, Cory (April) Smith, Justin,
(Megan) Smith; 16 nieces and nephews; grandparents, Edward and Ellen Davidson,
Stan (Elaine) Singleton, Jean Smith; many aunts, uncles and cousins, who loved
him dearly. He was preceded in death by Douglas Smith, grandfather. Funeral
Services will be Thursday, June 23, 2005 at 11:00 a.m., with a viewing one
hour prior at Redwood Memorial Chapel, 6500 South Redwood Road, also friends
and family may visit on Wednesday, June 22, 2005 from 7-9 p.m. Interment at

Stuertzel, Waltrud
Waltrud Stuertzel 1926 ~ 2005 Waltrud Stuertzel, 79, passed away peacefully on
June 17, 2005, surrounded by her family. Waltrud was born in Germany, and
immigrated first to Canada then the United States with her husband and the
love of her life, Alfons. After 20 years, they are now re-united. Following
nine years of marriage, mom and dad decided to start a family. After which mom
devoted her life to raising their children. A supportive and loving mom, she
was always there when we needed her and even when we didn't. Waltrud is loved
by many. She was active with the Kearns Senior Center and enjoyed the company
of the loving residents where she resided. She enjoyed playing cards, going to
Wendover, and playing bingo with her many friends. Waltrud was a very talented
woman, who loved to cook for her family. She loved to craft things with her
gentle but strong hands. She created amazing handiwork, knitting, crocheting
and sewing clothes, afghans and heirlooms. She earned many ribbons of
recognition at State and County fairs. She is preceded in death by her
husband, Alfons; her parents; and two sisters; daughter-in-law, Gina. Waltrud
is survived by her three children, Stephen (Kathy), Elizabeth and Michael; her
four grandchildren, Jennifer, Joseph, Morgan and Anthony; her great-grandson,
Shayden; and a brother, Erhard in Germany. We would like to extend our
appreciation to the caring staff at St. Marks ICU, and the pastoral care at
St. Marks for their love, care and support during this difficult time.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, June 23, 2005, 2:00 p.m. at Redwood
Memorial Mortuary, 6500 S. Redwood Rd. Interment, Redwood Memorial Cemetery.

Swain, Lawrence
Lawrence Swain Larry Lawrence R. Swain 82, died at his home June 14, 2005,
from natural causes. Mr. Swain was born March 11, 1923 in Vernal Utah the son
of Frank E. and Bessie Swope Swain. He grew up in Vernal where he attended
school graduating from Unitah High School. During World War II he joined the
U.S. Army. He received two Purple Hearts, 2 Bronze Stars, and a Silver Star.
He lived several places before moving to St. Anthony in l976 because of the
Teton Dam disaster. He and his wife Nancy continued to live in St. Anthony.
She died in 2002. Larry was a member of the Shriners organization and was a 32
degree Mason. He helped take many children to the hospital in Salt Lake City.
He was a active member of the St. Anthony VFW He was active in many local
service projects and civic affairs. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and the great
outdoors. He is survived by two daughters Sunny Merrill, Provo; and Jacquie
Stratton, Sandy, Three brothers Russell of Salt Lake City, Michael of
Copperton; and Jeff of South Jordan. Preceded in death by four siblings,
Glenn, Loran, Robert and Lewana. As per Larry's request he will be cremated
with no formal services held. Arrangements are under the direction of the
Bidwell Funeral Home.

Wachter, Blair Tolmie
Blair Tolmie Wachter 1935 ~ 2005 Blair Tolmie Wachter, beloved husband, father
and grandfather, died after complications from multiple myeloma at the
University of Utah Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah, on June 12, 2005. Blair
was born March 5, 1935, in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, to Tolmie
Joseph Wachter and Joyce Winifred Lillian n e Smith. He was the first of five
children. Blair attended grade school in Victoria, and high school in
Metchosin, British Columbia. Blair studied two years at Victoria College and
continued his studies at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC,
where he received his Medical Doctorate. In 1960, he married Ann-Mari Wallen
and they moved to New York where Blair worked as an anesthesiologist for 43
years. Blair began his career at Meadowbrook Hospital (now Nassau County
Medical Center) on Long Island, New York. In 1975, he became a full time
partner of the Department of Anesthesia at Brunswick Hospital in Amityville,
NY, and served as President of the Medical staff at Brunswick until 1980.
Blair was an avid fisherman, skier, and outdoorsman. The Wachter family spent
summers on Long Island Sound and winters in the Catskill Mountains. In 1973,
Blair bought property in Middleburgh, NY, and together with his family
maintained a home and small horse farm there for 30 years. Blair retired from
medical practice in 2003 due to health difficulties and moved to Holladay,
Utah. Blair Wachter is survived by his wife, Ann-Mari; their daughter, Nanette
Mari Wachter, and her husband, Kelvin Arthur Nahrwold, who reside in
Middleburgh, NY; their son, Tolmie Erik Wachter, and his wife, Kristina Gibby
Wachter, and three grand-children, residing in Holladay, Utah; a brother,
Bernard Wachter, in Victoria, British Columbia; a sister, Carole Wells, in
Metchosin, BC; and a sister, Daphne Feusier, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. He was
predeceased by his brother Bruce Wachter of Metchosin, BC, in 1994. A family
memorial service was held on Saturday, June 18, at the Wachter home in
Holladay, Utah.

Wagstaff, Brent Douglas
Brent Douglas Wagstaff 1941 ~ 2005 Our beloved grandfather, father, and
brother, Brent Douglas Wagstaff, passed away on June 17th after a valiant
struggle with a long illness. He was born on July 9th 1941, to Cecil H. and
Katherine S. Wagstaff. He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ
of Latter-day Saints, and enjoyed visiting the temple. He loved his children
and grandchildren and looked forward to the times he spent with them. He
enjoyed maintaining his fresh and salt water aquariums. He had a very kind
heart and loved to help and serve his friends. Brent was student body
President of Orem High School and was loved and respected by his fellow
students. He had a brilliant mind. He won a full ride scholarship to BYU and
graduated Magna Cum Lade. He held masters degrees in Chemistry and
Bioelectrical Engineering. He now has the peace and wholeness he longed for.
He is preceded in death by his parents and survived by daughters, Angie Hubley
(Joey), Jodi Brimhall (Todd) and 10 grandchildren, brothers and sisters,
Howard Wagstaff (Claudia), Carolyn Yeager (Monte), Joan Richards (Paul), Mark
R. Wagstaff (Jeanne). We greatly appreciate all the loving care provided by
those who attended him through-out his illness. Viewing at Russon Brother's
Mortuary, 295 No. Main Street, Bountiful Utah on Tuesday, June 21st from 9:30

Wilde, Norma
Norma Wilde 1929 ~ 2005 PARK CITY - Our beloved mother, Norma Jean Robinson
Wilde, passed away on June 15, 2005. She was born in the family home in Chalk
Creek on April 7, 1929 to Harvey W. and Clarice Rees Robinson. She married her
childhood sweetheart, Vern Dee Wilde, on November 10, 1948. She worked very
hard on the family ranch as a child and told many stories of the fun times she
enjoyed with her brothers and sisters and their friends. Mom loved working in
her beautiful yards, whether in our homes in California or back at the family
home in Chalk Creek where she and dad provided many happy memories for our
entire extended family. She loved to fish, talk on the phone, and visit with
her many friends and family members. Survivors include: children, Robyn and
DeeAnn Wilde, Green River, WY; Debra Jean Wilde, Coalville, UT; and Kevin and
Kathy Wilde, Park City, UT; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren;
siblings: Fae Jensen, Ogden, UT; Ron Robinson, Coalville, UT; Jim Robinson,
St. George, UT; and Vera Wright, Coalville, UT. Preceded in death by her
beloved husband, an infant son, infant granddaughter, and infant grandson.
Private family services will be held. We would like to thank Dr. Barnett and
George and Charlee from Hospice Alliance.

Wright, Leah Belle Baxter
Leah Belle Baxter Wright 1911 ~ 2005 Leah Belle Baxter Wright passed away June
17, 2005 in American Fork, Utah. Born August 2, 1911 to Belle Maud Ellis and
James Angus Baxter in Salt Lake City, Utah. She married William Hyrum Wright
January 25, 1930 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Her dear Bill passed away in
1999. She is the mother of three sons: William Lloyd, Gerald Dean (deceased),
and Curtis B. Wright; grandmother of 14 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren,
and one great-great-grandchild. Leah served in many church callings. She loved
Primary, and served as a teacher, and in Primary and Relief Society
Presidencies. She worked in their family business W. H. Wright Co. in American
Fork and Pleasant Grove, packing, shipping, and selling fruit and produce.
Leah retired from the State Training School and was also a long time awarded
and honored Avon Lady. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 21, 2005 at
11:00 a.m. in the American Fork 6th Ward, 300 North 100 East. Friends may call
Monday, June 20th from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East
100 North, American Fork and Tuesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the
services at the church. Interment in the American Fork City Cemetery. A
grateful thank you for the kind and loving care given by friends, family, and
the staff of Bel Aire Assisted-Living Center and the American Fork Hospital.
