Amos, Richard Anthony
Richard Anthony Amos "Together Forever" On March 7, 2005 after a long,
courageous battle with his health, our dad decided he wanted to go home to be
with our mom, Christine, and brother, Sean. We take comfort in knowing that
they are now reunited. He was born August 8, 1937 in Seymour, Indiana to
Lawrence and Mary Amos. He married Christine Johnson on March 9, 1957 and
together they had five children. Dad was happiest when he was serving others.
He was well respected and loved by all who knew him. He was an avid reader and
could have opened a book store with the amount of books that he collected over
the years. We would like to thank all of the many people from Huish Detergent
that have not only stood by him through the years, but with him, and a special
thanks to Debbie Mair for her loving care and devotion. Survived by his
children, Michelle Hall; Lisa (Mike) Riggs, Cama (Wayne) White, Greg (Julie)
Amos, Paul E. Hall; grandchildren, Shea (Chris), Zachary, Anthony, Tyler,
Ashley, Nicholas, Aisha, Chelsea, Brandon and Colton; three
great-grand-children; sister, Rita; brother, Marvin, brother-in-law, Chet
Spahr; sister-in-laws, RuthAnn and Imogene; and many nieces and nephews,
including his special niece, Evanne, and nephew, John (by marriage only). He
is also survived by his best friend and companion for many years--his dog,
Missy. Preceded in death by his parents; sister; brother; beloved wife,
Christine; and son, Sean A. A funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday, March
12, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 4501W. 5215 So.,
Kearns, UT. A rosary will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, March 11th at
Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State St., Murray, UT, with a viewing from

Anderson, Glen T.
Glen T. Anderson 1920 ~ 2005 Glen Thornton Anderson, 85, died March 7, 2005 at
his home in American Fork. Born March 3, 1920 in American Fork, Utah, the son
of Warren Fielding and Millie Thornton Anderson. He married Maurine Spafford
June 28, 1941 in American Fork their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt
Lake Temple. Glen was educated at the LDS Business College and at San
Francisco College of Mortuary Science, he was a licensed Funeral Director. He
served in the U.S. Army for three years during World War II seeing action in
North Africa and Italy. In 1939, he started in banking as the Custodian, later
serving as President of the Bank of American Fork and retired as the Vice
Chairman of the Board in 2004. He served on the American Fork City Council,
two terms as Mayor of American Fork, and two terms as a State Legislator. He
served as Director, Vice President, and President of the American Fork Rotary
Club. Served for 14 years on the American Fork Hospital Board including a term
as Chairman. Glen was a High Priest in The Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints and served in many positions including in a bishopric. He
was an avid gardener, enjoyed horseback riding, and snowmobiling in American
Fork Canyon. Survivors include, his wife two daughters and a son: Mrs. George
(Trudy) Casteleiro, Arlington, TX; Mrs. Fred (Christine) Fairclough, Salt Lake
City; David ( Marie) Anderson, American Fork; seven grandchildren, and one
great grandchild. Funeral services will be held Friday March 11, 2005 at 11:00
a.m. in the American Fork 4th Ward 455 East 300 North. Friends may call
Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Anderson & Sons Mortuary 49 East 100 North
and Friday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the church. Burial
in the American Fork City Cemetery. Military Rites by VFW District # 4.

Atwood, Dellas Movell
Dellas Movell Atwood 1921 ~ 2005 Beloved husband and father, Dellas Movell
Atwood, 84, passed away March 6, 2005 at Cottonwood Hospital. He was born on
February 20, 1921 in Elmo, Utah to Soren Edward Atwood and Rachel Pearl
Cramer. He served in World War II in the Pacific, discharged as a Staff
Sergeant, 322nd Infantry Regiment H. He served in the Northwestern States
Mission for the L.D.S. Church 1948-1950. He attended B.Y.U. for three years
and was a brick mason for over 45 years. He was an active member and served in
various church callings throughout his life. He had a strong testimony of the
gospel. He married Carmen Mary Nelson on June 21, 1986 in Ogden, Utah, and
they were sealed June 19, 1987 in the Salt Lake Temple. He loved gardening and
sharing his produce. He taught his sons to work in the garden. He loved to
read the scriptures and discussed them with anyone. He was very patriotic and
honored his country and was a member of the Olympus Male Chorus for many
years. He played the harmonica, banjo, saxophone, piano and organ and enjoyed
listening to others play music. He was a good father and husband and will be
dearly missed for his positive attitude. He is survived by his wife, Carmen
and his two sons, Nathaniel Delmen (17), and Alexander Cardell (15), and his
brothers, Glen, Von, Clark and many friends. His family would like to thank
Hospice for Utah and their kindness and care of Dellas. Funeral services will
be held at 11 a.m., on Thurs., March 10, 2005 at the Ridgedale Ward, 3400 So.
and 11th E., Salt Lake City, UT. Friends may call at the ward Chapel Wed.

Bevan, David Herbert
David Herbert Bevan 1936 ~ 2005 Our loving husband, father, grandfather,
brother and friend, David H. Bevan, age 68, passed away suddenly March 7, 2005
at home in West Valley City. Born June 13, 1936 in Salt Lake City, Utah, son
of Robert John and Edythe Miller Bevan. He was raised in Bacchus, Utah and
attended school in Magna, Utah. David married Patricia Rae Peterson May 28,
1953 in Salt Lake City; she preceded him in death August 25, 1968. He then
married Marilyn Joan Johnson, August 23, 1984 in Salt Lake City, and cared for
her nine children as his own. David loved watching the Utah Jazz, working on
his computer, and was a very good cook. David is survived by his wife,
Marilyn; his children: Pamela Kay Bevan and David Clifford (Lucy) Bevan; seven
grandchildren; step children: Pam, Bill, Frank, Joe, Mickey, Carla, Judy,
Cooper and Mark; 21 step-grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren; sisters:
Betty Lucille (Keith) Fairbourn, Sandra LaVerl (Frank) Sollars; brothers:
Robert John Jr. (Marilynn) Bevan and Michael D. (Shirley) Bevan. Funeral
services will be held Fri., 11 a.m. at the Brookhaven Ward, 4980 W. 3285 S.
Family and friends may visit Thurs., 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330
S. Redwood Rd and Fri. at the church, 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Valley View

Caldwell, Ila Dean "Deanie"
Ila Dean Caldwell "Deanie" 1931 ~ 2005 Ila Dean Johnson Caldwell passed away
suddenly but peacefully on March 5, 2005. She was born in Downey, Idaho on
October 18, 1931, a daughter of Arnold LeRoy and Ila Packer Johnson. She grew
up in Logan, Utah and attended the AC. She married John B. Caldwell on April
24, 1953 in the Logan LDS Temple. Her life centered on her family and her wide
circle of friends. She was a busy woman and had a wide variety of interests.
She enjoyed tatting, reading, volunteering at the library, photography,
traveling, Utah Jazz Basketball and attending Utah Sons of the Utah Pioneers
with her husband. She was active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints, serving as president of all three auxiliaries in the Tooele
Sixth Ward. Survived by her husband, John B. Caldwell, four sons, Jan
(Kaylene), John (Bonnie), Jerry (Susan) and Jeffrey (Cheri). A sister, Clarice
(Bevan) Higbee, 11 grandchildren, Marissa, Hilary, Mallory, Jackson, John
Brant, Christopher, Cassi, Andrew, Tiffany, Colton, Bailey and one
great-granddaughter, Alayna. She was a remarkable woman. Her passing has
broken our hearts. She will be sorely missed. Funeral services will be held on
Thursday, March 10,2005 at 1:00 pm in the Tooele Stake Center 253 South Second
East, Tooele. Friends and family may call Wednesday evening, from 6-8 pm at
Tate Mortuary, 110 South Main, Tooele, and from 11:30 to 12:45 at the church
prior to the funeral.

Connell, Faye (Johnson)
Faye Johnson Connell 8/16/1922 ~ 3/7/2005 Our beautiful, wonderful mother,
sister, grandmother, aunt and friend - Faye Johnson Connell - passed away on
Monday, March 7, 2005 at the LDS Hospital surrounded by her family. She was
ill for only a short time and passed peacefully to the next life from
complications due to Pulmonary Fibrosis. She was 82. Faye was born to a
well-known family of pioneer heritage from Tooele, Utah. Her parents were [the
late] Erb M. and Florence Barber Johnson. She was born on August 16, 1922 and
was the fourth of eight children. Faye graduated from Tooele High School and
attended Brigham Young University. She studied music at the McCune Mansion in
Salt Lake City. She was trained in opera and was a talented and popular
soprano singing at thousands of weddings, funerals, church programs and social
events. She married [the late] Edward J. (Bud) Connell on February 27, 1943 in
Coeur D'Alene, Idaho and their marriage was later solemnized in the Latter-day
Saint Temple in Logan, Utah, July 14, 1959. He preceded her in death on Dec.
12, 2004. Bud and Faye were married for 62 years. Although she was born and
raised in Tooele, Faye (and her family) spent the majority of the first 30
years of her marriage in New York, Ohio and Florida (except for a brief period
of time when she lived in Provo, Utah). In 1972, she returned, with her
husband and children, to Tooele where she was employed as an accountant at the
Tooele Army Depot for 13 years. She retired from there in 1988 The three
things that were the most important to Faye were the Gospel, music and her
family. Faye was a humble, devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints. She served in numerous church callings and, as a young
mother of six children, she spent eight consecutive years in callings as the
Primary president, president of the Young Women's Association, and president
of the Relief Society. Additionally, she served in stake leadership capacities
and as a Primary teacher, Relief Society teacher, visiting teacher, choir
director and ward chorister. Her choir was renowned and she conducted many
beautiful Christmas and Easter cantatas. Service to others was her standard.
She served faithfully and diligently and was, virtually, never without a
church calling. Her most favorite calling was that of temple ordinance worker
in the Salt Lake Temple where she served for six years with her husband, Bud.
Faye came from a 'singing' family. Her father, Erb, was a sought-after
soloist, as were her two sisters, Roxie Dobson Bolinder and [the late] Barbara
Andersen. The family often performed together and was well known for the
beauty, harmony, 'natural' music, and blending of their voices. Faye's
kindness, sincerity, humility and generosity of spirit caused many to seek her
counsel. Friends and family alike trusted her with their innermost thoughts.
She consistently offered comfort and compassion and never spoke ill of others.
Her wisdom enlightened others all the last days of her life. During the last
two years, Faye and Bud undertook a huge project that she felt would
strengthen family enjoyment in the county. With her husband, she was
responsible for founding and building the new family-bowling center in Tooele.
Her motivation for completing this monumental task was her "Daddy's" desire to
"give back" to the community. The family center is named after her husband,
"Buddy's" and will open in April of 2005. Sister Connell was faithful to her
testimony all of her life. She loved the Lord, her Savior and taught her
family truth through how she lived. But, it was her love for her children that
was paramount in her life. For them, she made her house into a home and was
the consummate nurturer and devoted mother. Through example, she taught that
which was "virtuous, lovely or of good report". Her children have been and
will continue to be blessed by her love. Her beauty and presence will be with
us always. Faye was preceded in death by her parents, Erb M. and Florence
Barber Johnson. Siblings who preceded her in death include Luana Williams, Don
Johnson, Dee Johnson (and spouse Margaret Johnson), Ross Johnson, and Barbara
Andersen. Her husband, Edward J. (Bud) Connell died on December 12, 2004 and
their youngest son, Blake Edward Connell, died January 21, 1992. Faye is
survived by her husband's niece from California, Faye Walker, who lived with
her the last two months of her life. She is also survived by siblings, Roxie
Dobson Bolinder, Joann Fleenor Simmonds, family members, Ross and Naomi
Williams; and Betty Johnson (wife of the late Ross Johnson). She is survived
by 30 nieces and nephews. Faye is survived by five of her six children: Adele
O. Connell, Jed (and Millie) Connell; Mark (and Debbie) Connell; Paulette (and
Glenn) Baucom; Charlene (and Joe) Dalto; and 18 grandchildren: Shawn Connell,
Kristen Connell, Karen Connell, Patrick Connell, Melanie Hall, Rachel Hall,
Adam Herman, Emily (and Ryne) Hammond, Ashly Jensen, Jesika Connell, Jenna
Connell, Justine Connell, Jamie Connell, Katherine Connell, Abram Baucom,
Tiffany Connell, Jane Dalto, Blake Dalto and three great grandchildren. There
will be a viewing at the Tate Mortuary, Wed., March 9, 2005 from 6-8 p.m.
located at 110 S. Main Street, Tooele, UT. Funeral services will be held at
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, at the North Tooele Stake
Center, 583 N. 270 E., Tooele, 11 a.m. Thursday, March 10, 2005. Friends may
call from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church on the day of the funeral.

Dixon, Michael Losson
Michael Losson Dixon 1944 ~ 2005 Michael Losson Dixon, 60, died March 6, 2005
in Layton Utah. Born Nov. 10, 1944 to Jesse Woodrow and Julia Fern Mangum
Dixon. Mike was a member of the Valley Assembly of God Christian Church and
dearly loved his Lord and Savior. Survived by sons Troy, AZ; Chance (Dulcie)
OR; Lance (Wendy) AR; daughter Shawlmarie Brakebill (Kevin) and 12 precious
grandchildren; sister Dixie Baker UT; brother Jim (Juany) AZ; stepmother
Josephine Dixon, OR. Preceded by parents and sister Charlotte Peterson.
Memorial services will be held at Valley Assembly of God, 3818 W. 4700 S. on
Thurs., March 10th at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donation to family would

Holmes, Mark Robert
Mark Robert Holmes 1958 ~ 2005 Mark Robert Holmes, born October 17, 1958, son
of Robert W. and Deon Gadd Holmes, passed away on Sunday, March 6th 2005 after
a long courageous battle with diabetes. His caring and giving personality will
be greatly missed by all. Mark was employed by the Utah State Dept of
Corrections and also worked for a short time alongside his father at Enoch
Smith Sons. Mark enjoyed hobbies including travel, photography, building model
airplanes and listening to music. One of his favorite model projects was
completing an N-gauge model train layout for his nieces and nephews to enjoy.
Mark loved animals, especially his cat Gracie. Mark is survived by his
daughter Amber Nicole, parents, and brothers Michael (Kris) Holmes, Blaine
(Sheri) Holmes, and sisters LaVon (Lawrence) Pavlowich, and Annette Johnson.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Susan; sister-in-law, Anna; and a
niece, Michelle. The family wishes to express gratitude to Hospice of Utah and
the staff of Murray Care Center for making his last days more comfortable.
Funeral services will be Fri, March 11, 2 p.m. at the Larkin Sunset Gardens
Mortuary, 1950 E. 10600 So. in Sandy, where friends and family may call on
Thursday 6-8 p.m. and also on Friday one hour prior to the services. Interment
Larkin Sunset Gardens.

Jensen, Richard Clyde
Richard Clyde Jensen 7/17/24 ~ 3/5/05 Richard C. Jensen, (Dick) passed away
Saturday, March 5, 2005 at the age of 80, in his home with his sweetheart,
VaLeen Sorensen Jensen, by his side. Richard was born July 17, 1924 in
Montpelier, Idaho to James Jensen and Naomi Phelps. Richard left Montpelier
when he was called by the U.S. Army to serve his country in World War II.
After the war, being an active member of the LDS Church, Richard served a two
and a half year mission in Copenhagen, Denmark. Upon completing his mission,
he returned to Salt Lake to finish his education at the LDS Business College.
Richard graduated as a certified accountant with experience in business
management. During his college years, he served as student body president.
Richard married his sweetheart, VaLeen Sorensen, in the Salt Lake LDS temple
Feb. 11, 1953. Richard's academic years prepared him to become the world's
largest importer for the Swiss Bernina Sewing Machine, a virtually unknown
machine before he began. He retired in 1986. From 1987 until his passing, he
was owner and manager of the Richard C. Jensen Enterprises. Dick has
faithfully served in numerous Church positions inclusive of Stake Young Men's
President, Genealogical Coordinator, Bishop of the Bountiful Third Ward, High
Councilman, Genealogy Advisor, Stake Sunday School President, Temple Sealer
and Mission President of the Denmark/Iceland Mission. In his final years, Dick
was involved in land development in Southern Utah, bordering Zions Park. He
loved genealogy work as he completed his family lines. Survived by his wife,
VaLeen Sorensen Jensen of Bountiful; six children, Kim (Leslie) Jensen of
Layton, Robyn (Stuart) Smith of New Jersey, Tamara (Dana) Bell of Bountiful,
Jaron (Janene) of Washington, Todd (Shauna) Jensen of South Jordan, and Mark
(Deanne) Jensen of Arizona; 26 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Also
survived by one sister, Juanita Gray of Idaho. Preceded in death by his
parents, three brothers and three sisters. Funeral services will be Thursday,
March 10, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bountiful Hills Ward, 1190 East Bountiful
Hills Drive. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2005, 6:30 - 8:00
p.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 N. Main and Thursday at
the Ward from 10:00 - 10:45 a.m. prior to the funeral services. Interment-

Johnson, Deborah Ann "Deb"
Deborah Ann Johnson "Deb" DRAPER--Our wonderful wife, mother, daughter, and
sister, Deborah Ann Johnson, left us on Monday, March 7, 2005, for her journey
to Heaven. "Deb" was born Nov. 13, 1955 to Ed and Joyce Cimini Walden in
Washington State. She graduated from Hillcrest High School, Class of "74. She
was a Sterling Scholar, a member of the National Honor Society, and graduated
from Southern Utah University. "Deb" was employed with WHW Engineering for the
past 25 years. Debbie enjoyed the outdoors, especially a warm and sunny place.
She had a wonderful life doing all of the things that she loved, including
reading and being with her family. Debbie's family includes Dave, her loving
and devoted husband of 27 years; her daughter and best friend, Bethany; her
parents; sister, Mary Walden; brothers, Steve (Thayla), Tim (Roseli) and their
families; also Dave's parents, George and Joyce Westbrook and Dave's brothers
and sisters, Kathleen (Dennis) Barker, Gloria (Mike) Schneider, George Jr.
(Vickie) Westbrook, Karen (Ed) Newman, Mike (Holly) Westbrook, Susie (Danny)
Reisendorfer, DeAnn (Robert) Barron; and many other family members and
friends. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thurs., March 10, 2005, at 10:00
a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church 300 E. 11800 S., Draper, Utah. A
reception at the church will follow. The family would like to thank the
nurses, staff, and doctors of the Huntsman Cancer Institute and Hospital. In

Koulis, Katherine Gooras "Yia Yia"
Katherine Gooras Koulis "Yia Yia" Born March 31, 1915 to Lazarus Gooras and
Fotini Polimeropolis in Ombriaki, Greece. Katherine grew up in Magna, Utah and
graduated from Cyprus High School. She married Paul Koulis June 1, 1941. She
worked for Utah Dept. of Transportation for 20 years. Katherine was a member
of the Greek Holy Trinity Orthodox Church where she taught Sunday School for
30 years; member of the Ladies Philoptohos Society, Daughters of Penelope,
Hellenic Ladies Club, Athanasios Diakos Society and Hellenic Cultural
Association. Preceded in death by her husband Paul, sisters Mary Pappacostas,
and May Gooras. She is survived by two daughters Josie Browning and Dovey
Busico; four grandchildren Michelle and Richard Haarbrink, Andrew and Amy
Browning, Brittney Busico, Brooke Busico, and seven great-grand-children:
Jaden, Mason, Ashton, Evan, Gracie, Emma, Taegan, nieces, Faith and Connie;

Kronberger, Frank Bernard
Frank Bernard Kronberger 1917 ~ 2005 BOUNTIFUL-Frank Bernard Kronberger passed
away March 5, 2005 from Parkinsons Disease. Born August 3, 1917 in Regent,
North Dakota to John (J.R.) and Gertrude Kronberger. Frank served in the Army
in the Pacific Theater from 1941-1945. He worked for Consolidated Freightways
as a long haul driver for 37 years. He was their first driver to achieve 1
million safe driving miles and then went on to 3 million safe miles. Dad
accomplished many things in his short time here. He fished many rivers and
lakes. He raised three sons and leaves behind three granddaughters and three
great-grandchildren. Frank also leaves behind many brothers and sisters; Tony,
Helen, Lena, Nick, Katherine, Eva, Matt, Ann, Gertrude and Joe (deceased).

C.H. Miller 1948 ~ 2005 C.H. Miller, Jr., 56, died suddenly at home on March
7, 2005. Born on November 28, 1948 to Calvin H. (Sr.) and Carol Murano Miller.
Graduated Bingham High in 1967. Married Hettie Kelm March 14, 1980. Survived
by "his bride" Hettie, father Calvin H. Miller, Sr., children Christian,
Patrick, Cara and Mason Miller, four grandchildren, sister Melodie Hundley,
brothers Robert Evans and Christopher Evans. Preceded in death by his mother,
brother Rocky D. Miller and sister Billie Jo Miller. Memorial service will be
held Friday, March 11, 2005, 1:00 p.m. at the Salt Lake Masonic Temple, 650
East South Temple, where friends may gather one hour prior to service. In lieu

Norton, Bernard Clem "Barney"
Bernard Clem Norton "Barney" Clem Norton, loving father, grandfather and
brother died March 5, 2005 in Spokane, WA. He was born May 13, 1929 in
American Fork, UT the son of Merritt and Eliza Ann Cameron Norton. He is
survived by his son Gary (Kari); granddaughters, Mikaela, Arielle, and Analise
all of Spokane; and brothers, Ron, D.R., Kenneth, Bill and Lorin. He was
preceded in death by his wife LaVeta; brothers; Preston, Dexter, Earl, Clinton
and sister, Barbara. Graveside services will be held on Friday March 11, 2005
at 2:00 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park in Salt Lake City.

Olsen, Helen Dorothy (Vidic)
Helen Dorothy Vidic Olsen 1/26/1928 ~ 3/7/2005 KEIZER, OR - Helen was born on
January 26, 1928 in Park City, Utah to Anton and Elizabeth Obester Vidic. She
has two sisters, Bette Kidder and Anita Vander Meide and a brother Don Vidic.
Helen attended schools in Park City and graduated from Park City High School
in May of 1946. She married Melvin Olsen on December 27, 1946. Helen was
baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on September 27,
1947. They were sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple on August 27, 1953. Mel and
Helen lived in Idaho Falls, Seattle, Portland and moved to their current home
in Keizer, Oregon in 1961. Helen had a Child Care Service in her home for 20
years. She loved to work in her yard, read, and dance. She volunteered at the
Senior Center for many years. She was active in her church and held many
callings. Helen was preceded in death by her husband - Melvin, her parents -
Anton and Elizabeth, her sister - Bette and a granddaughter - Dawn Michelle
Zollinger. She is survived by her children: Judy (Alan) Zollinger Burley, ID;
Ron Olsen Charlotte, NC; Rick (Judy) Olsen Keizer, OR; Jeanne (Richard)
Schultz, Salem, OR; 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; sister: Anita
Vander Meide McMinville, OR; brother: Don Vidic, Midvale, UT. Contributions
may be made to the LDS Church Clear Lake Ward Missionary Fund. Visitation will
be Thurs. 10-11 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints at 1375
Lockhaven Dr. NE. Services will be at 11 a.m. at the church. Interment will be
at Willamette National Cemetery, Portland, Oregon. Arrangements by Virgil T.

Parker, Louise Kinder "Ludy"
Louise Kinder Parker "Ludy" Louise Kinder Parker passed away peacefully in her
sleep March 3, 2005 in Grants Pass, Oregon. Born June 3, 1930 in Magna, Utah
to James Edward and Louise Mills Kinder. She graduated from Cyprus High
School. Married Jasper "Jay" Parker, November 2, 1950; later divorced. Enjoyed
reading and being with her family, especially on family outings. She loved to
kid around and tease people and had a sweet tooth, especially for chocolate
kisses. Survived by daughter, Bonnie Wry, Grants Pass, OR; son, Randy, Kearns,
UT; four grandchildren: Jessica, Jacob Melissa and Jay; sister, Nancy (Keith)
Rushton, West Valley City. Preceded in death by her parents and son, Steven.
Life was a struggle for you most of your life. Now you will be at peace with
your son, Steve. Memorial services will be held Friday, March 11, 2005, 2:00
p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 So. Redwood Rd. where family will greet
friends one hour prior to services. Interment, Taylorsville Cemetery.

Reid, Ned "The General"
Ned Reid "The General" Ned died Tuesday, March 1,2005 in a military nursing
home in Los Altos, California. Ned wore his army hat with his medals and the
patients and nurses called him "The General." Ned Roscoe Reid was born
December 31, 1925 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Samuel Roscoe (Ross) Reid and
Vera Hancock Reid. He was the fourth of eight children. He attended Salt Lake
schools and graduated from West High. Ned was involved with the ROTC in high
school and was honored to serve as the Captain of Calisthenics during a three
school performance at the University of Utah in 1943. Ned served in the Army's
10Ist Airborne in Europe in the Battle of the Bulge. During service in the
17th Airborne Division, he parachuted into the midst of German troops in
Wesel, Germany. His legs had been shattered by shrapnel in the Battle of The
Bulge, but he had recovered sufficiently to return to duty in time to rejoin
his company. He felt lucky to come thru the war alive. Ned married Shirlie
Phyllis Ohlin July 12, 1947. They lived in Salt Lake City, UT, Omaha, NE, Twin
Falls, ID, and then settled in CA. Ned and Shirlie were the parents of two
children, Cynthia and Kevin. Ned worked as an insurance salesman. Ned and
Shirlie later divorced. Ned is survived by his son Kevin and daughter Cindy,
both of California, sisters Betty Brown of Holladay, UT, Shirley Walton of
Bountiful, UT, brothers Greg of Omaha, NE, Don (Leila) of West Jordan, UT, and
Earl (Arlene) of St. George, UT. Ned was preceded in death by his parents Sam
and Vera, his wife Shirlie, and two brothers Keith and Robert. Ned's wish was
to be cremated and the family plans to have his remains laid to rest in
Arlington Cemetery. Condolences to the family can be sent to Don Reid 6256 S.

family to know that we love you very much and hope to see you again.

Robinson, Lisa Ann
Lisa Robinson 1947 ~ 2005 Lisa Ann Robinson passed away 7 March 2005 at home,
surrounded by those who loved her, after 14 years of valiant struggle with
brain tumors. A native of California she lived in Utah for the past 30 years.
A loving and caring daughter to her mother, a proud mother of her daughter, an
incredibly courageous person in facing her own illness, committed to life,
family and loving relationships. She was known for her sense of humor and
bright eyes. She is survived by her daughter Kara, her partner Kathy, two
brothers, Lee and Richard, and a sister, Charleen (siblings all of Calif). A
loving and grateful thank you to CNS personnel for their care and support.
There will be no funeral services as she is donating her body to medical
science in hopes of helping others. In lieu of flowers, please send

Rowe, David Edward and Lucille Jennings
David and Lucille Rowe 2/21/1915 ~ 3/6/2005 10/18/1919 ~ 3/6/2005 David Edward
Rowe and Lucille Jennings Rowe both passed away within hours of each other in
a local care center in Salt Lake City, Utah. Dave and Lucille were married in
1939 and during the past 65 years they couldn't be separated in life nor in
death. They are survived by their three children, Judy (Roby) Stevens, Nancy
Parrish, and David Scott Rowe; six grandchildren; seven great-grand-children;
and three sisters, Beulah, Peggy and Shirley. Immediate family will meet at 12
Noon on Wednesday, March 9, 2005 at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mausoleum, 1950 E.
10600 S. for a nicheside service followed by a visitation for family and
friends at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary from 1-3 p.m. Thank you to the staff
of Emeritus Estates (North Ogden), Woodland Park Care Center (Salt Lake) and
Legacy Hospice for their kindness and devotion to our parents.

Ryan Jr., Bernard Nivard "Bernie"
Bernard Nivard Ryan Jr. "Bernie" Bernard Nivard Ryan Jr. passed away March 6,
2005 at L.D.S. Hospital in Salt Lake City of pneumonia. Bernie was born
December 13, 1937 to Bernard N. Ryan Sr. and June Anna Modlin in Ely, Nevada,
White Pine County. Married Erolynne Howes in Eureka, Nevada, July 9, 1964.
Bernie worked as a truck driver and as a locomotive engineer for 40 years at
Kennecott. Bernie is survived by his loving wife, Erolynne; daughter, Karen
and special niece, Michelle; four grandkids, Miranda, Bryan, Brandon and
Stormee. He is preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Eerol, parents and
brother, Mike Ryan. Graveside Services will be held Thursday, March 10, 2005
at 12:00 noon at Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 W. 4100 S. Friends and family
are welcome to say their goodbyes at a visitation at 10:30 a.m. prior to the
service on Thurs. at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 W. 4100 S.

Schneider, Noland H.
Noland H. Schneider 1927 ~ 2005 Noland H. Schneider passed away on March 7,
2005 due to the effects of cancer. Noland was born on August 14, 1927 in Salt
Lake City, Utah to Hyrum and Elma Schneider. He attended East High School and
then the University of Utah, where he was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha
fraternity. He received his law degree from the University of Utah Law School
and passed the Utah Bar Exam with the highest score in the state. He joined
the Merchant Marines at age 16 and later served in the Army and as an officer
in the Air Force. Noland was a lawyer by training but an entrepreneur at heart
and his greatest pleasure was in overcoming the greatest odds. He practiced
law, he prospected for uranium in Southern Utah and for black mica in Mexico,
he speculated in commodities (and almost had several hundred head of cattle
delivered to his home when he and his partner failed to close a contract
before the delivery date), he went from boom to bust during the uranium
frenzy, and invested successfully in many start up companies. He was the head
trader at Coombs & Company, a local stock brokerage firm, and a co-owner of
Utah Welder's Supply. Noland loved games of chance and, much to the delight of
his friends and family, invented several of his own. He enjoyed sit down ping
pong, locker room golf, bowling for dollars, and the pursuit of impossible
propositions like breaking 85 in golf within one year, trying to run a horse
through a full set of jumps at the Cottonwood Club horse show, and running
from the Alta Club to Willow Creek Country Club in less than four hours. He
was a great card player, particularly bridge and gin rummy. Noland was also an
avid golfer and belonged to the Salt Lake Country Club and the Springs Country
Club in Rancho Mirage, California. More than anything, Noland loved people and
people loved him. He was always willing to help his friends and there was
nothing he wouldn't do for his family. He adored his grandchildren and step
grandchildren and entranced them with his stories and outings. Noland loved
life and he lived it to its fullest. As he said, "I've had a pretty good run."
He is survived by Patty, his loving wife of 32 years; his sister Camilla Smyth
(Fred Smyth); his sons Mark Schneider (Mary Sloan) and Kirk Schneider (Nata
Schneider); his daughter Jeri Schneider; his step daughters Kathy Tarver
(Keith Tarver) and Carolyn Hunter (Drew Hunter); and his grandchildren Dylan,
Allie, Kacey and Carli Schneider, and Joseph and Leo Staten, and his step
grandchildren Robyn Urry, and Robbie Tarver. He was preceded in death by his
parents and by his sisters Phyllis Schneider and Kathryn Nuttall. There will
be a graveside service for family members at Wasatch Lawn Cemetery on Friday
March 11. Friends may call at the Larkin Sunset Lawn Mausoleum 2350 E. 1300 S.
on Thursday March 10 from 6-8 p.m. Friends are also invited to attend a
celebration of Noland's life at the Salt Lake Country Club on March 11 from
3:30-6:00 p.m. The family suggests that donations be made to the Huntsman
Cancer Institute or the charity of your choice.

Seymour, Winton Linfield
Winton Linfield Seymour Will Be Missed DURHAM, NH - Winton Linfield Seymour,
87, died March 7, 2005. Former resident of Salt Lake City. He worked for
Anaconda Copper and Continental Line. Avid skier and member of Alta's Wild Ole
Bunch. He was predeceased by his wife Vivan "Pop" Peterson who died in 1995.
Survivors include his sons, Alan of New Boston, NH and Craig of Durham, NH.

Sutton III, Philip Garland
Philip Garland Sutton, III 1963 ~ 2005 Philip Garland Sutton, III, beloved
son, brother, uncle and friend died suddenly of a heart attack on March 5,
2005 in Salt Lake City, UT. Phil "P.G." was born on February 5, 1963, in
Framingham, MA and grew up in Houston, TX. He was a graduate of Cypress Creek
High School and Trinity University in San Antonio, where he graduated with
honors. Phil was the son of the late Philip Sutton and is survived by his
loving mother Marsha Sutton; by his brother David Sutton and wife Allyson; and
by his sister Beth Sutton Miller and husband Craig. He was the proud uncle of
Lauren and Erin Sutton and Meagan and Morgan Miller, and had a large extended
family. He worked as a researcher for Kemp and Associates in Salt Lake City,
with many friends among his colleagues. A memorial service will be held
Saturday, March 12, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. at Brookside Funeral Home - Champions,
3410 FM 1960 West, Houston, TX 77068 (281) 397-0800. A private family
interment will follow at Forest Park East Funeral Home Cemetery.

Wardell, Thomas Ray
Thomas Ray Wardell 1944 ~ 2005 Thomas Ray Wardell, 60, passed away March 5,
2005. He was born July 27, 1944 in Portland Oregon the son of Edward and
Cleone Allred Wardell. Tom Married Nancy Randall October 11, 1969 in Elko, NV.
They later divorced but stayed close friends. Tom is survived by three
daughters Michelle Morgan; Marcie Walters; Dianna Hart; six grandchildren;
three brothers; and two sisters. Preceded in death by his parents. Graveside
services will be conducted on Friday March 11, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Mountain
View Memorial 3115 E. Bengal Blvd. (7800 S.). Friends and family may call at a
viewing one hour prior to the services Friday at Mountain View. "If tears
could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and
bring you home again"

Wayman, Dr. Jean Chatterton
Dr. Jean Chatterton Wayman Beloved Mother Our beloved wife, mother,
grandmother, aunt and friend, Jean, passed away March 8, 2005 at her home. She
was born May 11, 1924 in Swan Lake, Idaho to Bryon and Alta Waddoups
Chatterton. She married Hugh Wayman, May 23, 1941. They have two children,
Larry Charles Wayman and Linda Wayman Hagan. She attended Cleveland
Chiropractic College in California. She lovingly served her patients for 34
years. Jean was a very talented seamstress, artist, swimmer and lifeguard. She
made the greatest cinnamon rolls and enjoyed cooking. Jean was a beautiful,
loving and wonderful woman and was a strength to all those she influenced.
Most of all, Jean was a loving grandmother and adored her grandchildren. They
were the light of her life. Her spirit made her a strong person, like a mighty
tree amidst the storms of her life. She will be greatly missed. Jean is
survived by her husband; daughter; brothers, George and Von; special niece,
Dorla; grandchildren, Sandy (Dan), J.C. (Jodi), Wyatt (Alicia), Wes and his
daughter, Caitlin; great-grandchildren, Justin, Brandon and Krysten;
daughter-in-law, Jeri and son-in-law, Chuck. Services to celebrate Jean's life
will be held Friday, March 11th, 2:00 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500
S. Redwood Rd. A viewing for family and friends will be held Thursday evening
from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to services at the mortuary.

Welling, Blain K.
Blain K. Welling 11/12/1922~2/5/2005 Blain K. Welling 82, died Saturday March
5, 2005, at the Evanston Regional Hospital. He was born November 12, 1922,
Riverside, Box Elder, Utah, to Karl G. Welling and Effie Udy. On November 9,
1943 he married Kae Barlow in the Logan LDS Temple. Blain enlisted in the
United States Air Force in 1943 after being drafted three days after his
marriage to Kae. 30 days later he was inducted at Fort Douglas in Salt Lake.
He was sent by troop train to Sheppard Field Texas for basic training and
classification and passed pilot training. Due to a mix up in paper work he was
assigned to teach gunnery school at Kingman, AZ until released two years
later. Blain is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He served as counselor in the Mutual, Scoutmaster, then in the Stake Sunday
School as counselor for five years, followed by Stake Sunday School
Superintendent for five years. He was then called to serve as counselor in the
1st Ward Bishopric for five years followed by eight years as Bishop. He then
was called into the Stake High Council where he served for two years before
being called by Boyd K. Packer to be President of the Evanston, Wyoming Stake
at the time of the division of the Evanston, Wyoming Stake and the Kemmerer,
Wyoming Stake on October 15, 1975. He served as Stake President until
September 22, 1984. On January 31, 1994 he was called as Patriarch to the
members of the Evanston, Wyoming Stake until his death. Arrived in Evanston in
December 1945, operated O K Rubber Welders in Evanston. Moved his business to
101 Bear River Drive and acquired the Ford-Lincoln-Mercury Franchise in 1959.
He sold insurance for Farmers Insurance Group from 1952 until his death. He is
survived by his sons Blain Jay (Brenda) Welling, Craig Barlow (Deborah)
Welling, and Shad Karl(Norma) Welling all of Evanston; a Brother Don U.
Welling of Evanston; 16 grandchildren and 12 Great grandchildren. He is
preceded in death by his wife Kae on February 4, 2005, his parents, brother
Jack H. Welling of Plymouth, Utah, and a Sister RaNae Brough of Tremonton,
Utah. Funeral services will be held at Uinta View Ward Chapel, 200 Sage
Street, Saturday, March 12, 2005 at 10:00 a. m. A viewing will be held at the
church, Friday March 11,2005, from 6 p. m. to 8 p. m. and one hour prior to
services. Graveside services and interment will be at the Riverside, Utah
Cemetery, in Box Elder County at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Arrangements -Crandall
