He is now rejoicing with his Savior and loved ones, free from the pain and burdens he bore so bravely while here on earth. Born May 18, 1950 to LeRoy and Gladys Steadman in Murray, Utah, and raised in Midvale, Utah. Dennis graduated from Hillcrest High School and later went on to serve in many positions with Salt Lake County Fire Department. He loved his career and felt blessed to have been so fortunate to serve in this capacity. He was given many health challenges in his life and learned some valuable lessons from them, most importantly, not to take anything for granted. Dennis was a friend to all. He knew how to love unconditionally. Dennis was a very big man in every sense of the word. He loved to serve and he loved the Lord. Dennis married Judy Davies in 1971, later divorced. Married to his best friend and soul mate, Holly J. Powell on Aug. 28, 1999. During their short time together, they traveled many places and had enough wonderful memories to last a lifetime. They truly loved each other and it was apparent to anyone who ever saw them together. Dennis is survived by his beloved wife, Holly; children, Kevin, Andrea (Adam) Adair, Daniel (Jennifer), and Jessica (Rick); brothers, Glenn (Colleen), Jay, and Dave (Sheila); as well as 12 grandchildren whom he adored, and special nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by both parents; and brother, Lynn. We would like to thank the true friends who helped and loved him through his recent struggles. It meant more to us than you know.
