Wilcox, Margaret Irene Margaret Irene Wilcox 1919 ~ 2005 Born in Swansea, South Wales, March 4, 1919; came to America through Ellis Island at age eight. Passed away at home Tuesday, May 17, 2005. Anyone lucky enough to get past her loud bark soon learned it was protection for a loving and generous person who never learned how to say no. She had an unquenchable thirst for knowledge, was a voracious reader, often reading late into the night. She was very talented and had a great love of the arts but it was often pushed aside for more practical obligations. She worked as an RN for 48 years and was proud to be licensed in three states. She lived by simple rules, wash your hands, brush your teeth, and wash your dog's face everyday. Don't cry now that she is gone. She had grown weary of this earth and what we have done to it. If it's true that heaven is yours, she will be in a much better place where there are plenty of French fries and lots of dogs running through endless fields of wildflowers swaying in a gentle breeze. By her request there will be no funeral services. She is donating her body to science, her last generous gift. Please no flowers, phone calls or visitors. If you must do something, please make a donation to one of her favorite charities, Doctorswithoutborders.org, helpinghandsmonkeys.org or smiletain.org. Thank you.
