Marguerite K. Anderson "Mom & Grandma" Marguerite K. Anderson, 91, passed away September 4. 2005 in Copperton, Utah. She was born December 9, 1913 in Pleasant Grove, Utah to Hardin Kirkendall and May Nielson. Married John Joseph Anderson in Bingham Canyon, Utah on Dec. 26, 1931. He preceded her in death on Dec. 19, 1982. Marguerite spent her whole life in service to her church and community. She welcomed and loved everyone, and was loved by everyone who knew her. She ran the good race. She will be surely missed. We thank the many friends and neighbors in Copperton who were so loving and helpful to her. Survived by two sons, David and Paul; two grandsons, Brian and Justin; three granddaughters, Cherie, Angie, and Rachelle; and one great-grandson, Jaron. Bosch, Cornelis Cornelis Bosch 1918 ~ 2005 Loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather Cornelis Bosch passed away after a valiant struggle with Alzheimer's Disease. PLEASANT/EAST CARBON - James Clair Carter, age 85, died at home in Wales, Utah September 3, 2005, due to complications of a stroke. He was born December 14, 1919, in Fountain Green, Utah. He was the son of Arthur Elmer Carter and Sarah Eliza Holman Carter. He Married Bernita Everts Carter July 8, 1940, she died June 6, 1999. Married Anita Lamb of Wales, Utah February 11, 2000. Worked at Horse Canyon Coal Mine for 36 Years. Was a proud member of the United Mine Workers of America for most of those years. He loved the outdoors and collected rocks and arrowheads. Spent much of his spare time camping in Utah, the neighboring states, and his cabin located in Joe's Valley. Was always called the "Wagon Master" by relatives and friends. He led convoys of campers and trailers to his special places of interest for years. He was well known by his story telling and robust laughter. He is survived by his wife, Anita; and by his children, Sylvia (Cody) Leek, West Valley, Steven (Maggie) Carter, Mesquite, and Loralie Carter, West Valley. Also survived by four grandchildren, Rodney Leek, Tracy Brown, Troy Leek, and Kandi Sant; and nine great-grandchildren. Also survived by Anita's children, Burnell (Elena) Bowers, DeLos (Jo) Bowers, Jack (Jackie) Bowers, Marsha (Charlie) Eppler, Karen (Sherwood) Whitlock, Bonnie (Bill) Ormand, and Ron (Nicole) Lamb. Garrard, Jared Luke Jared Garrard 1982 ~ 2005 On Sunday, September 4, 2005 Jared Luke Garrard lost his sixteen year battle with cancer. Jared was born to L. James and Patricia Ann Garrard (Mellor) on May 18, 1982 in Logan, Utah. He graduated from Tooele High School in 2000. He served as an LDS missionary in the Arizona Phoenix Mission from August 2001 to July 2003. He was blessed with amazing health through out his mission. He loved his mission and cherished the many experiences he had, while serving the Lord, especially the love that he developed for the Navajo people. He loved teaching his Sunday School class and faithfully taught his lesson up until 3 weeks ago. He is survived by his parents, brothers: Joshua (Leeann), Cameron, Cody and sister Brittney, nieces: Bailey, Ryleigh and Avery, grandparents Leslie and Janet Garrard, all of Lake Point, and his great-grandmother Olive Johnson of Grants, NM. Also survived by many special aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by his grandparents LaVell and Virginia Mellor. Green Jr., John Henry John Henry Green Jr. 1921 ~ 2005 John Henry Green Jr. (Jack), age 84, passed away September 3, 2005. John was born June 12, 1921 in Salt Lake City to John Henry Green and Sarah Marie Plant. He attended South High. John served proudly in the US Army during World War II in the South Pacific. After returning stateside, he worked for the Sunbeam Corporation. He then became a meat cutter and worked at the Crystal Palace Market #5 for 30 years until his retirement. He married Irene Ameila Klingenstein on January 16, 1942. Marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they raised five children, Jacqueline Irene, John Henry III, Carlton Scott, Anna Marie, and Annetta Louise. Irene preceded him in death on October 4, 1985. John loved to dance and sing along with almost any musical, especially The Music Man. Survived by children, Jackie, John Henry III (Kay), Scott (Michael), Anna and Annetta. Also survived by two granddaughters, Hanah Lin and Aliah Lea, his youngest sister Helen, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. From the start, she had a strong personality and a will to face anything that challenged her. Elizabeth had a courageous spirit that was infectious, and her family always felt her strength. Elizabeth was a beautiful girl who had unique talents, including singing, dancing, growling and charming people. She loved her dog, Panda, and she accumulated her large group of friends quickly. For nearly two years, Elizabeth battled physical difficulties with incredible effort and grace. She endured many surgeries and procedures. On September 3, 2005, she decided finally to rest. Elizabeth is survived by her parents Eldon and Tiffany Hamelin; her sister Julianne Hamelin; her grandparents Alfred and Edith Hamelin of Rexburg, Idaho, Alan and Michele Hassell of Ashland, Oregon, and Alecia Montanez of Medford, Oregon; and friends and loved ones too numerous to mention. Born October 18, 1922 to Eva R. Forbush and Walter E. McCleery in Murray, Utah. Married Richard L. Litson on June 18, 1940 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Mom spent her married life of 65 years living in Murray, Utah, enjoying family gatherings, crafts, and traveling to Arizona in the winter with dad. She is survived by four generations of family loved ones. Her husband Richard (Roy) Litson. Her children Rick Litson, Marsha (Ken) Nichols, Sue Litson, Sandy (Jerry) Pearce. nine grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and four and a half great great grandchildren. Morrin, Dean Francis Dean Francis Morrin 1917 ~ 2005 OGDEN - Dean Francis Morrin, 87, passed away Sunday, September 4, 2005 at Manor Care in Ogden. He was born September 9, 1917 in Ogden, Utah, to Maurice and Nettie Russell Morrin. Dean served in the Army during World War II. He graduated from Ogden High in 1935 and from Weber State College in 1938. He attended the University of Utah Law School. On May 17, 1941, Dean married Jane Shurtliff in Randolph, Utah. Dean served on the Board of Directors for Commercial Security Bank which is now Key Bank. He was a member of the Ogden City Civil Service Commission and the Associated General Contractors of America. He was the Director of the Ogden Weber Chamber of Commerce. He was Chairman of the Weber Economic Development Corporation and the Ogden Industrial Development Corporation. He served on the committee for the Eccles Conference Center, on the Board of Directors of the Ogden Country Club and Weber Club and helped establish Mission 2000. He received an Honorary Doctorate of Humanities Degree from Weber State University. Dean and Jane received the Ogden Weber Chamber of Commerce Citizens of the Year Award. Dean was a general contractor and he built many buildings at Utah State University, University of Utah and Weber State University. He built schools for the Ogden City schools and Weber County schools including Weber High school. He built the Bank of Utah, Key Bank and many other buildings. He built dozen of bridges on the interstates in Nevada, Idaho, Montana and all of Northern Utah. He worked on Starvation Dam, Soldier Creek Dam and Naughton Dam in Wyoming. He built the fish hatchery in Orofino, Idaho. He was the general contractor for numerous waste water and water treatment plants. He converted all of the barracks into housing which became the city of Washington Terrace. He enjoyed horseback riding, hunting, fishing, boating, golfing, bowling, spending time at the family cabin and traveling. He loved birthday and holiday gatherings. Dean is survived by his wife, Jane; a son, Richard Dean (Mikki) Morrin, Ogden; four daughters, Suzann (Vern) Carter, Bakersfield, CA; Kathy (Jerry) Opheikens, Ogden; Mary (Pat) Dabling, Ogden; Jill Morrin, Layton; 16 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Janet Nichols and a son, James E. Morrin. Ralph Murri, age 82, of Salt Lake City Utah passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 31st. Ralph was born in Heber City, Utah February 5, 1923, to Lecil Carlile and William C. Murri. Married Gwendella Earl January 23, 1943; sealed June 23, 1947, in the Salt Lake Temple. Ralph was a kind and gentle man, a great story teller with a very humorous dry wit. He graduated from West High School and completed vocational courses related to his career as an office machine serviceman. He worked 35 years for Olivetti-Underwood Company and became one of the first computer service technicians in the area. He also worked for several years as a building service technician and manager for the Union Pacific and Kennecott office towers. He loved to travel and to take the back roads to points not well known, as long as they either went through Yellowstone or to Disneyland. His greatest joy was his family, and he loved teaching kids new things. He was an active member of the LDS church, and will be missed by all whose lives were touched by his love, generosity and wit. Jeff came into the world on May 21, 1965 the eldest of three sons born to William Francis Qualls Jr. and Claudia Jean Hoggan. He married Barbara Ann Barker on August 14, 1986. Separated in 2003. They have two sons, Tyler and Travis. Jeff graduated from Granger High School and attended Salt Lake Community College. He worked at Smith's Foods, Fiesta Ole and Arctic Circle. He was a hard and dedicated worker - always trying to do his best. He loved people! He made friends wherever he went. He had the most wonderful smile and sense of humor. He loved animals and was an enthusiastic fan of the Utes, Steelers and the NHRA. But nothing compared to the love he had for his sons, Tyler and Travis. They were the joy of his life. They meant the world to him. His happiest times were spent with them. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He had a deep love for his Savior, Jesus Christ. Wageman, Kevin S. Kevin S Wageman Flying With Eagles Kevin Scott Wageman was born on June 18, 1959 to Rudy and Doris Wageman. He was the youngest of five boys. At 12:53 a.m., Sunday, September 4, 2005, he returned to his Heavenly Father. Kevin was a great guy who loved to ski and fish and take long hot baths. You couldn't ask for a better friend. Kevin will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Kevin married Jessica Lovato on February 9, 1984 and they were blessed with a beautiful daughter Jennifer Wageman on September 14, 1984. Jennifer was the light of Kevin's life and he of hers. He is survived by Jessica and Jennifer Wageman; mother Doris Wageman; brothers, Randall Wageman, Rodger Wageman and Tracy Wageman; nieces and nephew, Casey, Trina and Kim Sweat; and many other extended family members. He played competitive baseball and loved to play ball and to do things with his brothers. He had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. Yardley, Norma Lee Graham Norma Lee Graham Yardley 1938 ~ 2005 BEAVER - Norma Lee Graham Yardley, our loving mother, grandmother, friend and teacher peacefully returned to her heavenly father September 4, 2005. She was born September 7, 1938 in Springdale, Arkansas to Carroll Welton and Irene Estelle Tillman Graham. Norma married George Boyd Yardley June 2, 1960 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Norma was an avid history buff, who enjoyed traveling to many foreign countries to enhance her knowledge of history. She thoroughly enjoyed passing her love of history to everyone she spoke with. She loved classical music and always attended the Shakespearean Festival. Norma taught school for 23 years in the Beaver County School District Norma is survived by her children, Wade (Susan) Yardley, Zane (Julie) Yardley, Brett (Markita) Yardley and Lisa )Rick) Vasquez all of Beaver. She has 16 grandchildren and 10 great, grandchildren. She has one brother, Richard Larry Graham of California. She was preceded in death by her husband George Boyd Yardley, a grandson, Darrin Paul Stone her parents and three brothers. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2005 at the Beaver LDS 3rd Ward Chapel. Friends and family may pay their respects on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Southern Utah Mortuary and on Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Church. Interment will be in the Mountain View Cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary.
