She was born on June 19, 1912 in Stillwater, Minnesota to George and Verlie Beauvais Trepanier. She married James E. Aberton on September 19, 1933 in Pueblo, Colorado. Myrna is survived by her daughter: Adrienne (John) Nystrom, brother-in-law, Philip Shafer, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephew, great nieces and great nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband; son, John (Eleanor); sister, Ruth; and parents. Ackermann, Virginia Lee Virginia Lee Ackermann 1/22/1924 ~ 9/5/2005 Memorial services for Virginia Ackermann will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept 8, 2005 at Jenkins Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Prkwy, (10600 So.). She was born in Maysville, Missouri and grew up in St. Joseph. She graduated from Maryville Missouri State Teachers College and taught school for over 45 years. After teaching at the Schofield Barracks in Hawaii for two years, she moved to southern California where she met her husband Fred to whom she was married for 52 years, and she continued teaching kindergarten in the Orange Unified School District. When they retired, they moved to their lakeside home on Lake Texoma in Denison, Texas, where they spent 18 happy years. Virginia had lived in Sandy for the past three years to be near to her daughter. She was an avid bridge player, a member of the St. James Episcopal Church of Midvale, and an active member of her local PEO chapter. Virginia is survived by her only child Virginia (Ginny) and son-in-law Craig Smith, grandsons Jason and Jeremy Smith, and her two sisters Katherine Croghan of Nevada, Iowa and Marian Barger of Denison, Texas in addition to numerous nieces, nephews and friends who loved her. She joins her parents and beloved husband Fred who passed on before her. The family would like to thank all those who helped with her care and visited her in her final days. Brostrom, Wanda Lou Wanda Lou Brostrom 1925 ~ 2005 RICHMOND, VIRGINIA - Wanda Lou Brostrom, 79, passed away after a short battle with cancer and surrounded by her loved ones on Friday, September 2, 2005. Wanda was born November 9, 1925 in Lorraine, Illinois, a daughter of Louis and Ruth Hess. She graduated from Gem City Business College in Quincey, Illinois. She married Wayne G. Brostrom. He preceded her in death. Wanda was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She held numerous callings throughout her life. She enjoyed working with the children. She served twice as a Relief Society President and served a mission as the secretary to the Mission President in London, England. Later she served a second mission in New Zealand at the New Zealand Temple. Wanda also served in the Los Angeles, California and Washington D.C. temples. In addition to raising her family, which was always her highest priority, she worked at the Boy Scout Office in East St. Louis, Illinois; Amcor in Ogden, Utah; and was secretary to the English Department at Weber State University. She leaves behind a loving family including six children: Hal (Terri) Brostrom, Farmington, UT; Calvin (Judy) Brostrom, Cary, NC; Ruth Christian, Richmond, VA; LuWain (Jim) Proctor, Orem, UT; David (Becky) Brostrom, Ogden, UT; and Dawn (Keith) Jensen, Layton, UT. She also dearly loved her 24 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her aunt, Neva (Virgil) Grotz, Blue Eye, MO; sisters, Erma (James) Wallace, Salt Lake City, UT; Shirley (Owen) Price, Mokena, IL; and one brother, Bill (Jan) Sparrow, West Valley, UT. Brown, age 72, passed away on September 2, 2005 in Richfield, Utah. He was born July 5, 1933 in Koosharem, Utah, a son of Austin Christian and Vada S. Newby Brown. He married Arva Ann Johnson September 1, 1956 in Sigurd, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple June 19, 1963. Arland worked for Georgia Pacific in Sigurd for 39 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, fourwheeling, collecting stamps and coins, but most of all he loved spending time with his family, camping at Boxcreek Reservoir. Clauson, Rosa Jane Rosa Jane Clauson Wife, Sister, Mother, Aunt, Grandmother, Great-grandmother Rosa left to join her husband on Sunday, September 4, 2005, whom she has missed for over 40 years. She was born Rosa Jane Cowdell, daughter of John Henry Cowdell and Louise Joyce Walters, May 13, 1913 in Blackfoot, Idaho. Married the love of her life, Russell Clauson on July 16, 1930. Rosa and Russ had one daughter, Shirley (Ted) Sommer and two grandchildren, Teddy Sommer and Roseann (Scott) Ortar. Her great-grandchildren are Alisha Sommer, Kris Ortar, Ragun Ortar and Colton Ortar and great-great-grandchildren, Ashton, Hayle and Scotty. Clendenon 1924 ~ 2005 Ida Hedwig Clendenon, age 81, died peacefully September 3, 2005, in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born August 30, 1924, to John and Stella Organisciak Karwoski. Her secretarial career, spanning several years, included time working at the Pentagon, at GM Wallace in Salt Lake City, and several years with Sunshine Cleaners. Especially in her later years, she loved to have her nails done by Brian and hair done by Sharon. She is survived by daughters, Suzzane Clendenon and Lorraine Murphy, and son, James Clendenon; grandchildren, Stefani Firisen and Michael Hedgpeth; sister-in-law Betty Karwoski and her last surviving sibling, her sister, Laura (Edward) Zabinski. Her departure leaves a special void in the life of the one who lovingly cared for her, her daughter, Suzzane. She will be forever missed. Services will be held at a later date in Utica, New York. Divino, Tony Tony Divino 1919-2005 Tony Divino, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother passed away Monday September 5, 2005. He passed into the loving arms of Our Savior surrounded by his family who loved and cherished him. Dad was born November 10, 1919 in Garfield, Utah to Salvatore (Sam) and Mary (Pulli) Divino. He married Virginia Ferguson on October 20, 1939. They shared 65 wonderful years together. He was a veteran of World War II, having served with great courage in the Pacific Theatre. He was recognized for his brave service with many medals including the Purple Heart, the Silver Star, and the Bronze Star. Tony was a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union, local 19 for over 50 years. He was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Parish. Tony is survived by his wife, Virginia, his daughter, Marilyn (Lacy James) Scott, his son, Tony (Cynthia) Divino, brothers Dominic and Frank Divino, sister Mary Affleck. Eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, as well a many other loving family and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, brothers Joe and Johnny Divino and Frank Micelli. Doxey "Together Forever" Elithe Winegar Doxey, a great wife, mother and teacher, died peacefully at home in Alpine, Utah, 5 Sept.2005. She was born 21 June 1924 at home in Salt Lake City, Utah, to William Sterling Winegar and Pearl Victoria Langford. Elithe met her eternal sweetheart, William Hayes Doxey, at East High School. They were married a year after graduation, 15 April 1943, in the Salt Lake Temple. Bill and Elithe stand together as the parents of ten families now totaling 172, including: Gary and Michal Miller, Roswell, NM; David and Sharlee Rands, Cedar Hills, UT; Clair and Helen Rogers, Riverton; Mark and Debbie Doxey, Laie, HI; Rick and Kristine Kiholm, Camino, CA; Gretel Doxey, Alpine; Carl and Mary Ann Shoff, American Fork; Jonathan and Becky Doxey, Alpine, UT; Jared and Jena Doxey, Kaysville; David and Molly Dean, Highland; and two more dear daughters Ethel Stallings and Marlene Garnham; 54 grandchildren with 34 spouses and 62-soon-to-be-66 great grandchildren. As she left this life she was happily met by her dear husband Bill, son Warren Cottrell, and daughters Helen and Marlene. When her last child started school, she returned to the University of Utah and graduated cum laude, certified to teach Home Economics. She taught in Utah and Colorado for 20 years, finishing her career at Alpine District's Young Mothers School serving as principal, secretary, teacher, and surrogate mother to many young women. Bill and Elithe served a mission together in Smithers, British Columbia. She also served several times as president of the Relief Society, Young Women and PTA. She taught many classes, in food preservation, gospel doctrine and homemaking skills. Elithe worked very hard to stretch her income to care for her large family. She baked all the bread, canned thousands of bottles of food, rolled out countless pie crusts, sewed all the dresses, draperies and slipcovers, embroidered, knitted, managed a small farm, made do and did without. She was the heart of her family's home, spearheading prayers, family home evenings, late night talks, family reunions and meal after meal after meal. Elithe loved her brothers and sisters and their families; Ray and Marge Winegar, LeMar and Beverly Winegar, Wen and Norma Winegar, Keith and Virginia Winegar, James and Liz Winegar, D'Monte and Joan Coombs, Buzz and Caroline Winegar, Keith and Carol Otteson and Barry and Jean Winegar. Finley, Robert Lynn Robert Lynn Finley 1958 ~ 2005 Robert Lynn Finley "Bob" born February 2, 1958 passed away peacefully at home with his loving family September 5, 2005. Although his life was cut short due to a tremendous fight with cancer his dreams and passions were fulfilled. At 18 years old he served his country in the Marines as a military policeman. After his honorable discharge he found his soul mate Caren who he spent the last 25 years of his life with. They have two beautiful daughters he dedicated his life to. When he wasn't with them you could find him fishing, float tubing, frisbee golfing or poking around his yard. Bob loved woodworking and made his career out of it. He retired from MacBeth Hardwood Co. in September 2004 for medical reasons. Bob was our loving husband, dad, grandpa, brother, uncle and friend. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survived by his wife, Caren; daughters Jennifer (Joe) Avila and Malinda; stepchildren Michael and Cinda; granddaughters, Ciara, Cecilila, Jaiden, Jenika and Aryaunna; 4 brothers, two sisters and numerous nephews and nieces. Foerster, Leah Thompson Leah Thompson Foerster 1914 ~ 2005 CEDAR CITY, UTAH - Beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Leah Thompson Foerster, passed away Sunday, September 4, 2005 at age 91. A native of Southern Utah, she was born in Greenville on June 10, 1914 to William Theodore and Laverna Dalley Thompson. Leah had great love for the wonderful mountains and red-rock canyons of Southern Utah, and felt deeply connected to this beautiful country. Her spirituality was grounded in her passionate love of nature, and as a result she was a devoted protector of the environment. Whether as a member of the Environmental Committee of the Women's Legislative Council, as assistant editor and columnist for the Utah Nature Study Society, or as vice president of the Kolob-Virgin River Audubon Society, she brought her energy and enthusiasm to this cause. Leah graduated as valedictorian of the Milford High School class of 1932, and returned in 1970 with the honor of giving the baccalaureate address. She worked tirelessly in support of education. Through her involvement with the Better Schools Committee of Beaver County, new schools were built in Milford and Minersville. On a state-wide level she served an executive secretary of the Council for Utah Education (CUE) helping to bring the business community into partnership with the schools. Writing was an important part of her life, and her poetry and published natural history articles were enjoyed by many. Her smile could light up a room and our hearts. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her devoted husband of 66 years, Richard Foerster; a daughter, Joyce (Mohamed) El-Mogazi; grandchildren, Dina (Mark), Raddi, and Ricky (Gretchen); great grandchildren, Alex and Aleah; a sister, Thelma Monson; and brother, James Thompson. She was born June 26, 1913, in Salt Lake City to Andreas Oscar Pearson and Hedvig Elisabeth Bjork Pearson. She married Herman Gillett May 5, 1932, in Heber, Utah. Marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Helen loved to read and was especially fond of poetry. She could capture the attention of her family with stories of her youth on Highland Drive. While Helen dearly loved Christmas she seemed to enjoy enriching it for others even more. Her homemaking skills included crocheting, gardening, and baking the hundreds of cookies she prepared for Christmas as well as the best apple pie you've ever eaten. She learned frugality and sensitivity from her Swedish immigrant parents and her experiences of the Great Depression. Helen had an intuitive sense for the needs of family and friends and the generosity of spirit to help, offer, and even surprise them. She was the champion of the under dog and taught her children there was good in everyone. She enjoyed trick candles, toys that whirled and buzzed, and the delight her mischief brought to children. Helen inherited a green thumb from her parents which brought her garden to life and beautified the world around her. She employed and taught her grandchildren hard work and the skills of caring for a garden. They loved their memories of trimming the rose bushes, mowing the lawn, and working at the cabin. She instilled the pride of a job well done and built confidence by the praise she gave. She made flowers grow, but she will be remembered most for how she made people bloom. She is survived by her six children: Lowell (Janet) Gillett, Dick (Sharon) Gillett, Helen Jeanne (Marlow) Salisbury, Carol (Dave) Gough, Susan (Bart) Leeflang, Christine (Steve) Oesterle, 28 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, two granddaughters: Tanya Gillett Blake and Andrea Gough, her brother Elmer Pearson, and sisters Alice Jones and Gladys Raikes. Goff, Gerald H. Gerald H. Goff 1922 ~ 2005 Gerald H. Goff, 82 passed away peacefully September 6, 2005; five weeks after being diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called angio sarcoma. Gerald was born September 15, 1922 in Pierce, Nebraska. He was one of four children born to George W. and Elizabeth Beller Goff. Gerald served as a pilot in the Navy Air Corp. during World War II. He moved to Salt Lake City in the late 1950's. Jerry was employed by Fire Engineering and retired from Woodbury Corporation in 1985. He enjoyed the game of tennis, but his passion was the game of golf which he enjoyed with his buddies from Anchor and St. Vincent's Sunday golf group. He was a faithful member of St. Ambrose Parish for over 40 years. He is preceded in death by his wife, Charmain, brother Harlan and sisters, Betty and Katherine. Gerald is survived by his children, Steven L. Goff (Geni Henderson), Cynthia M. Niermeyer, Robert J. Goff and Patricia A. Goff (Andy Lee). Green Jr., John Henry John Henry Green Jr. 1921 ~ 2005 John Henry Green Jr. (Jack), age 84, passed away September 3, 2005. John was born June 12, 1921 in Salt Lake City to John Henry Green and Sarah Marie Plant. He attended South High. John served proudly in the US Army during World War II in the South Pacific. After returning stateside, he worked for the Sunbeam Corporation. He then became a meat cutter and worked at the Crystal Palace Market #5 for 30 years until his retirement. He married Irene Ameila Klingenstein on January 16, 1942. Marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they raised five children, Jacqueline Irene, John Henry III, Carlton Scott, Anna Marie, and Annetta Louise. Irene preceded him in death on October 4, 1985. John loved to dance and sing along with almost any musical, especially The Music Man. Survived by children, Jackie, John Henry III (Kay), Scott (Michael), Anna and Annetta. Also survived by two granddaughters, Hanah Lin and Aliah Lea, his youngest sister Helen, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She married Leonard Edward Harmon on July 8, 1940. They spent their married life seeing the world because of his many different naval assignments. She is survived by her two sons, Leonard Edward Harmon, Jr., West Brentwood, New York, and Gerald Robbins Harmon, Bettendorf, Iowa. She is also survived by three grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews who loved her. Preceded in death by her husband, two brothers, a sister, and her parents. When she was a child, they bought a dairy farm and moved the family to Riverdale, Idaho where she grew up one of 12 children and the last living member of that family. She married her childhood sweetheart, Lyman James Hollingsworth January 14, 1927 and they made their home in Salt Lake City. She was a soft spoken, peace-loving woman who devoted her life to making a home for her family. Her homemade bread, chili sauce, pies and fudge were the best. She loved playing games, the harmonica and ukulele, to crochet and bowl and always whistled while she worked. Survived by daughters: Corinne Pratt (Don Jay), Beverly Dansie, Shirley (Gibb) Harris, Sandra (Dennis) Johns; daughters-in-law, Jeannine and Starr; son-in-law, Ben Wood; 29 grandchildren; 56 great and 35 great-great-grandchildren. Frank's death is as untimely as it is tragic for his family. He was a devoted husband, his sons' best friend, his daughter's hero, and just "Papa" to his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is greatly loved and will be sorely missed. Frank was born on January 7, 1933 to Ernest and Ruby Johnson, the youngest of their 8 children. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers Harmon, Don, Sidney and Marlin. Frank is survived by his 2 brothers, Richard and Charles Edward, and by his sister Ida Mae Romm. In 1952, Frank married his high school sweetheart, Faye Lamb, in the Logan LDS temple. Together, Frank and Faye raised three sons and a daughter. Frank was heartbreakingly preceded in death by his eldest son, Scott Franklin Johnson. He is survived by his wife Faye, his sons, Craig (Becky), Rick (Julie), his daughter Laurie, 8 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Frank was an athlete all of his life, playing all sports in high school and represented Utah State University in their 1951 basketball season. McCafferty, David Ray David Ray McCafferty "May you have Fair Winds and Following Seas" David Ray McCafferty, passed away September 5, 2005 at his home in West Point, Utah. Born February 13, 1928 to Silas and Eva McCafferty in Ephraim, Utah. Right now he is on top of the Manti Mountains taking in the entire Sanpete Valley. He loved his birthplace and always longed to return. He spent his youth as typical country boys do, farm work, chores, and herding sheep on Fish Creek Ridge during the summer months. Of course what ever the regimen lots of fishing and hunting were always included. During his Junior Year at North Sanpete High School he was so anxious to serve his Country in the WWII effort that he quit high school, told recruiters that he was a year older than his real age and joined the Navy at the age of 17, he made sea duty three months prior to the wars end in August of 1945. He served his nation proudly during the years 1945 through 1949 on the USS Frankford, USS Grayson, USS Arcadia, and his proudest assignment, to the USS Coral Sea. He was a member of the USS Coral Sea Association and attended many annual reunions. Always the athlete he played basketball in high school, competed as an amateur boxer and baseball player while serving in the Navy and during his latter years he became an avid tennis player. After proudly serving his country he was a "Fence Man", starting as an installer he eventually moved to sales and before his retirement he was Owner, CEO and President of American Fence Company of Ogden. He served as past President of the Weber Club, active in Rotary, Lions, Elks, FOE and a member of the Ogden Chamber of Commerce. Dave married Jerrie Terry on August 12, 1950, she preceded him in death on February 4, 2005. He was born September 9, 1917 in Ogden, Utah, to Maurice and Nettie Russell Morrin. Dean served in the Army during World War II. He graduated from Ogden High in 1935 and from Weber State College in 1938. He attended the University of Utah Law School. On May 17, 1941, Dean married Jane Shurtliff in Randolph, Utah. Dean served on the Board of Directors for Commercial Security Bank which is now Key Bank. He was a member of the Ogden City Civil Service Commission and the Associated General Contractors of America. He was the Director of the Ogden Weber Chamber of Commerce. He was Chairman of the Weber Economic Development Corporation and the Ogden Industrial Development Corporation. He served on the committee for the Eccles Conference Center, on the Board of Directors of the Ogden Country Club and Weber Club and helped establish Mission 2000. He received an Honorary Doctorate of Humanities Degree from Weber State University. Dean and Jane received the Ogden Weber Chamber of Commerce Citizens of the Year Award. Dean was a general contractor and he built many buildings at Utah State University, University of Utah and Weber State University. He built schools for the Ogden City schools and Weber County schools including Weber High school. He built the Bank of Utah, Key Bank and many other buildings. He built dozen of bridges on the interstates in Nevada, Idaho, Montana and all of Northern Utah. He worked on Starvation Dam, Soldier Creek Dam and Naughton Dam in Wyoming. He built the fish hatchery in Orofino, Idaho. He was the general contractor for numerous waste water and water treatment plants. He converted all of the barracks into housing which became the city of Washington Terrace. He enjoyed horseback riding, hunting, fishing, boating, golfing, bowling, spending time at the family cabin and traveling. He loved birthday and holiday gatherings. Dean is survived by his wife, Jane; a son, Richard Dean (Mikki) Morrin, Ogden; four daughters, Suzann (Vern) Carter, Bakersfield, CA; Kathy (Jerry) Opheikens, Ogden; Mary (Pat) Dabling, Ogden; Jill Morrin, Layton; 16 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. Evelyn, my wife was a fabulous wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She had unconditional love for all her family. No matter what the circumstances; she made you feel like you were the most important and loved person in the world. She was the family matriarch and when there was a need; no matter what the cost or inconvenience she was there. Her Motto, "Pay It Forward." If anyone tried to pay her back she would say "Pass It On Down". Her home was always warm and friendly and a place for family get together and family parties. When one get together was over she started making plans for the next one. Her family was and is the most important treasure she has; proof of that is in her over 200 family picture albums. She always told everyone, "if there is a fire, save my albums. She was a fabulous cook, dancer, pianist, adventurist and a Cracker-jack accountant. Her saddest moment was when she had to leave her family behind. She will be greatly missed, we love her so very much. She is Our Angel now. Evelyn is survived by her husband Ted of Mt. She was an active member in the LDS Church and served in various positions. Blanche worked many years at Sears in the payroll department and a teacher's aid at the Riverview Jr. High School. She was a very loving and giving person, she loved being with her family and grandchildren on their various Friday nights, eating at different places each time. She loved cooking for her family on Sundays, as well as traveling with them-especially going to Nauvoo, IL many times. Blanche was a great cook and loved sharing her food with her loving neighbors and friends. Survived by her husband of 58 years; son, Joel D. Pat was born on July 8, 1917 on a ranch in Terry, Montana to Ralph and Eunice Pattee. He attended school in Billings, Montana and joined the Army Air Corps during World War II to become a B-17 aircraft pilot and commander. He and his crew survived 35 missions flying over Europe and he was awarded the Flying Cross for heroism during World War II. Pat and Vella were married shortly after his return from Europe on November 1, 1944. She preceded him in death just a few days prior to their 60th wedding anniversary. They lived most of their married life in Salt Lake City, Utah where he became a Real Estate Broker and Investor. He was a member of the Salt Lake Board of Realtors for 60 years, a member of the Salt Lake Kawanis Club for nearly 50 years, a 33rd Degree Mason and member of Mt. Moriah Lodge No. II, a Shriner, a Jester, a QB (Quiet Birdman), a Gyro, a member of Willow Creek Country Club and The Alta Club. He flew for the Air Force Reserves at Hill Air Force Base and contributed to campaigns in Korea and Viet Nam, retiring as a Lt. Col. Along with Vella, his son Dwight Scott Pattee proceded him in death as well as his only brother Benton R. Pattee. Pat is survived by his son Brad Pattee and his wife Chris, along with their combined children Kellie, Brian, and Kevin Pattee, and Tres (Jenn) Sorbonne, and Alicia (Mike) Thompson. Pat is also survived by his daughter Teri L. Tyree and her husband Dan, along with their children Heather and Ian Tyree. Pat was dearly loved and will be sorely missed by all of us. David was born February 9, 1979 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Robert George and Catherine Barton Pedersen. He was 26 years old. David attended Cottonwood Elementary, Waterford School, Olympus Jr. High, Olympus High School and graduated in 1997 from Cottonwood High School. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. David was an outstanding athlete. He was an excellent basketball player, football player, water skier, snow skier and he played on All-Star baseball teams. He especially loved playing golf with his Dad, Grandpas, brothers, brothers-in-law, nephews and friends. He earned the rank of Life in scouting. David loved anything to do with the outdoors and his favorite job was working as a counselor for youth with drug and alcohol abuse problems. David especially loved spending time at the family cabin, "the Creamery", at Bear Lake enjoying his nieces and nephews. They love their Uncle Dave! He was loved so much and he will be sorely missed by all who will never forget his wide smile and infectious laugh. Qualls, Jeffrey William Jeffrey Qualls 1965 ~ 2005 Jeffrey William Qualls beloved father, son, brother and friend departed this life on September 3, 2005. Jeff came into the world on May 21, 1965 the eldest of three sons born to William Francis Qualls Jr. and Claudia Jean Hoggan. He married Barbara Ann Barker on August 14, 1986. Separated in 2003. They have two sons, Tyler and Travis. Jeff graduated from Granger High School and attended Salt Lake Community College. He worked at Smith's Foods, Fiesta Ole and Arctic Circle. He was a hard and dedicated worker - always trying to do his best. He loved people! He made friends wherever he went. He had the most wonderful smile and sense of humor. He loved animals and was an enthusiastic fan of the Utes, Steelers and the NHRA. But nothing compared to the love he had for his sons, Tyler and Travis. They were the joy of his life. They meant the world to him. His happiest times were spent with them. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He had a deep love for his Savior, Jesus Christ. Rettie, Nellie Robinson Nellie Robinson Rettie 1929 - 2005 Nellie Rettie peacefully passed away in her home of natural causes on Saturday September 3, 2005. She was born on August 20, 1929 in Moore, Idaho daughter of Benjamin and Ortensia Robinson. She was raised in Hailey, Idaho. After graduation she moved to Salt Lake City, Utah where she attended LDS Business College and later worked at Rocky Mountain Bank Note. Nellie married Robert Rettie on November 30, 1957 and together they raised two children. She will be remembered for the love of the color red, and all animals especially cats, reading books, and the ocean, and her kind and gentle nature. She is survived by her daughter Alison Rettie of Bountiful, and her son Walter Rettie (Chun) of Lacey, Washington and her Grand kitties Yowzer and Brandi of Bountiful, Utah and five nieces and one nephew. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, 2 brothers and four sisters, and one niece and one nephew and Andy Rettie Grand dog. Ridley "Dad, Grandpa and Great-Grandpa" William (Bill) Edwin Ridley (88) went home to his Heavenly Father, September 5, 2005. He was born September 21, 1916 in Brooklyn, New York to John B. and Margarete Ridley. Married H. Louise Giauque in Salt Lake City, July 13, 1950. Later solemnized in the Salt Lake L.D.S. Temple. He served in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for 13 years during World War II and Korean War. He retired from LDS Hospital Engineering Department after 17 years. He loved cooking, gardening, needlepoint and being with his family and friends. He was Cub master for Troop 26 for 24 years. In 1995 he received the Silver Beaver Award. He was the most caring and giving person, you could ever meet. He always helped anyone in need. He was loved by all who knew him and will be deeply missed. Taylor, Claudia Jean Kratzer Hilton Claudia Jean Kratzer Hilton Taylor 1948 ~ 2005 Age 57. Born October 15, 1948 in Salt Lake City, Utah, was suddenly taken from us by a brief illness. Our dear mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend returned to her heavenly father on Monday, September 5, 2005. Survived by her son, Ty Hilton, parents, Donald and Betty Kratzer, brother Stephen (Sandra) Kratzer, aunt Sherry (Danny) Thomas, nephew Tony (Leesa) Kratzer and numerous others. Preceded in death by brother Milt Kratzer and grandparents. Claudia was an active member of the LDS Church and temple worker. Walbom, Arno Gene Arno Gene Walbom 1934 ~ 2005 Arno Gene Walbom was born October 8, 1934, and died September 5, 2005, after a valiant battle with cancer, surrounded by family and friends. Arno was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Lorenz Iver Walbom, Sr. and Estella Goodwin. Arno was an active member of the LDS Church and enjoyed many callings. He was well known for his contagious smile, and his love for life. He loved driving a truck for various trucking companies, water skiing and dancing. Most of all he loved his wife, Karen. They both loved spending time with each other and going on trips. A highlight of their trips included visiting many L.D.S. temples throughout the United States. They were married July 21, 1979, and later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on September 26, 1992. Arno was preceded in death by his parents, Lorenz and Estella Goodwin Walbom; his daughter, Antonetta; his brothers, Tom (Janet), and Lorry (Jean); sisters, Stella Cracroft, Mary Ramano (Bruno), and Gwen Caputo. Survived by his loving wife, Karen; daughter, Kaylein (Mark) Turrel; grandchildren, Heather and T.J. Rich; brother, Bill; sister, Louise Broughton; various nieces and nephews.
