Adams, Lynn H.           
Lynn H Adams 1940 ~ 2005 Lynn passed away Sept. 11, 2005, due to a long
illness. Lynn was born Oct. 24, 1940 in Bingham, UT, to Ruthford Adams and
Vanda Reeves. Lynn was a great sports enthusiast and was retired from the
K-Mart Corp. He is survived by four stepchildren, several grandchildren and
great-grandchildren, one aunt (Trelma) and several cousins. Graveside services
will be held Sept. 16, 2005 at 1 p.m. at Murray City Cemetery 5490 S Vine St.,
Murray UT.

Alvey Sr., Charles Howard          
Charles Howard Alvey Sr. (C. Howard) 1910 ~ 2005 Our dear father, grandfather,
great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather, died peacefully on Sept. 11,
2005, with family at his side. Dad had just turned 95 on Saturday. Howard was
born in Escalante, Utah on September 10, 1910 to Thomas and Emily Porter
Alvey. He married his sweetheart, Scytha Solena Barney on July 2, 1931 in
Junction, Utah. They later were sealed for time and eternity in the Manti
Temple. Dad and mom were blessed with seven children; Leva (Wayne) Brierley,
Roy UT; Charles Jr. (Karla), Sandy; Barney (Shirley), West Jordan; James
(Judy), Albania Mission, Gay (Ivan) Hill, Vaughn (Kay) and Michael (Lex Ann),
all of Sandy. Dad was preceded in death by his sweetheart, Lena, his parents,
two brothers, three sisters and a daughter-in-law, Sharon. Dad is survived by
a posterity of 211, including 33 grandchildren, 96 great-grand-children and 26
great-great-grand-children and a brother-in-law, Vay Barney. Dad's life was a
sermon of selfless service, integrity, love and devotion. He was a gracious,
loving husband, devoted father, grandfather and friend. He was loved by all
who knew him. We will never forget his never ending stories, songs and poems
and especially his great sense of humor. Dad made his living as a carpenter
and a general contractor. He was a self-taught craftsman, taking great pride
in his work. Dad was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter
Day Saints. He held callings including serving as counselor to three bishops
before accepting a call as bishop himself. He was on the High Council and
served a building mission with his wife in Tarzana, CA where he constructed a
stake center. He and mom also served a name extraction mission, but, were best
remembered for his design of the addition and remodel to the Holladay Third
Ward. Dad had a great love for his family. His love, friendship, support and
example will remain in our hearts and continue to give us strength in our time
of need. He truly has left a great legacy. Funeral services will be held
Thursday, September 15, at 12 noon in the Sandy Crescent 24th Ward, 275 East
10600 South. A viewing will be held Wednesday evening 6 - 8 p.m. at Larkin
Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 1950 East 10600 South and at the church Thursday
morning from 10:45 - 11:45 a.m. prior to the service. Our family wishes to
recognize the cooperation of all family members in caring for dad these past
few years. A special "Thanks" to Mike, Lex Ann and family who made dad welcome
in their home, caring endlessly for his needs. Also, thank you to the Rocky

Baker, Deborah L.        
Deborah L. Baker 1953 ~ 2005 Deborah L. Baker, 51 of Salt Lake City, entered
eternal life, September 12, 2005, in the care and comfort of her family and
friends. She had been battling breast cancer for nearly six years. Born
December 12, 1953 in Marquette, Michigan, the daughter of James L. and Rose M.
(Thompson) Carlson, Deborah was raised in Marquette and was a 1972 graduate of
Marquette Senior High School. Following graduation, Deborah was employed in
various administrative capacities in the commercial real estate and financial
services industries. In February 1986, she became a flight attendant for
Northwest Airlines and was based in Detroit, Minneapolis and San Francisco
during her 17-year career. Deborah was an avid reader and animal lover,
raising three parrots and two cats for the past nine years. On September 15,
1995, she married Robert H. Baker, Jr. in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In November
1995, the couple moved to Half Moon Bay, California. In February, 2002, they
moved to Castle Rock, Colorado until September, 2004 when they moved to Salt
Lake City. Survivors include her husband, Robert; her parents, James and Rose
Carlson of Marquette, MI.; three brothers, William (Suzie) Carlson of
Negaunee, MI; Joseph (Rosemary) Carlson of Henderson, KY; and Peter (Cindy) of
Lansing, MI; stepchildren Brent (Brandie) Baker of Columbus, OH; Krisa Baker
and Robert H. Baker, III, of Minneapolis. Deborah was preceded in death by her
brother, Steven R. Carlson of Marquette, MI. Memorial services will be held
7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 15, 2005 at Garner Funeral Home, 1001 11th
Ave., Salt Lake City. Family will greet friends one hour prior to services. In

Hal Dee Bangerter 1956 ~ 2005 BOUNTIFUL- Hal Dee Bangerter, age 49, passed
away on Saturday, September 10, 2005 in North Salt Lake, Utah. Hal was born
March 23, 1956 to Charles W. and Fern Wright Bangerter. He was preceded in
death by his father, Charles W. Bangerter. He is survived by his mother, Fern
Wright Bangerter, brothers and sisters, Reed (Sharon) Bangerter, West
Bountiful; Phil (Diane) Bangerter, Bountiful; Connie Bangerter, Herriman;
Bonnie (John) Tibolla, Centerville; Alan (Diane) Bangerter, Bountiful. A

Barney, Barbara Anne          
Barbara Anne Barney "Loving Wife, Mom & Grandma" WEST VALLEY CITY-- Barbara
Anne Barney, 58, passed away at her home September 13, 2005. She was born
March 10, 1947, in Ogden, Utah to Elmer Speirs and Helen Barbara Ecker Alston.
On June 20, 1969, Barbara married Donald Oscar Barney in the Salt Lake LDS
Temple. Barbara enjoyed scrapbooking and doing family history. She loved
cooking, especially during the holidays and helped carry on family German
holiday traditions. She was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in the
Relief Society, Primary, and Young Women. Survivors: husband, Don Barney, West
Valley City; children, Donald E. Barney (Melissa), West Valley City; Liz
Barney, at Westminster College in Salt Lake; granddaughter, Alissa Alize
Barney; brother, David Alston (Nancy Ann), Pocatello, Idaho. Preceded in death
by her parents. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 16, 2005, at
10:00 a.m. in the Hunter 15th LDS Ward Chapel, 5000 W. Pavant Ave. (3700

Benich, Fern Bateman (Pugmire)          
Fern B. Benich 1912 ~ 2005 Fern Bateman Pugmire Benich, passed away on Sept.
13, 2005 in Bountiful, Utah. Born Dec. 16, 1912 in Pocatello, Idaho to Archie
Young and Lucy Bateman Pugmire. Married Frank F. Benich May 10, 1947 in
Pocatello, Idaho. He preceded her in death Jan. 31, l997. Fern was a member of
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Graduated from West High
School. She was a buyer for Auerbachs Department Store until the store closed
in 1979. She also worked as a model. Survivors, sons, Frank F. (Mickie)
Benich, Jr., and John P. (Debbie) Benich, III; five grandchildren, Carla Marie
Benich, Tony (Amy) Benich, Tammie (Jerry) Duggar, John P. (Jamie) Benich, IV
and Mark R. Benich; 10 great-grandchildren, Justin, Maxwell, Peyton, Madison,
Brennan, Gabriel, Riley, Connor, Nathan and Matthew. Also preceded in death by
parents; sister, Artella Turley. Funeral services Thursday, Sept. 15th, 10
a.m. at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 1950 E. 10600 So., in Sandy.
Friends and family may call at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple in
Salt Lake City on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. and also at the Larkin Sunset

Brown, Patti Carlson          
Patti Carlson Brown 1950 ~ 2005 Patti Carlson Browns' adventure in life
started on August 15, 1950 and ended September 12, 2005. She was born in
Ogden, Utah to Don A. and Donna Burrie Carlson. She lived in Ogden and
attended school there until 1963. The family moved to Brigham City where she
attended Box Elder High school, was active in cheerleading and graduated in
1968. Patti married David K. Brown and together they had two wonderful
children, Tim and Jody. She had a successful 30 year career in the banking
industry. She had worked for Zions Bank and at the time of her death she was a
Vice-President of Private Banking at Bank of the West in Layton. She truly
loved her job, the wonderful clients and the people she worked with. Although
Patti was diagnosed with terminal cancer in June 2005, she was excited to have
been here for the arrival of her third grandson, baby Kru. She enjoyed
golfing, her home, taking care of her yard and her annual family trip to Bear
Lake. Her greatest joy in life was being "Granny" to her three grandsons. The
boys will miss her endless support, her smiling face and her presence at all
of their games. Patti and her family would like to thank Brenda Postel and the
girls at Bank of the West in Layton, for their love and support. Patti is
survived by her children, Timothy David Brown, Mantua; Jody (Phillip) Gold,
Morgan; three grandsons, Kort and Kody Christoffersen, and Kru Gold, all of
Morgan; her mother, Donna Carlson, Ogden; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Pam
(Jerry) Ingalsbe, Plain City; and Susie (Ron) Clarke, Provo. She was preceded
in death by her father, Don A. Carlson. Funeral services will be held Friday,
September 16th at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington

William John Busha 1920 ~ 2005 Our beloved husband, father, grandfather died
peacefully September 11, 2005 with his family by his side. Born June 4, 1920
in Blue Island, Illinois to Paul and Sophie Busha. Married the love of his
life Genele Pack Busha. Corporal in the U.S. Army during World War II. Member
of the LDS Church. His greatest loves were his wife, his children and
grandchildren. His only vice was his fond addiction to Chocolate! Survived by
his wife of 60 years, Genele; children, Loree Ann Lindsey, Shelly Fry,
Jennifer Curtis and Richard Bancroft; grandchildren, Dale Rowley, Joshua,
Lindsey, Jordon Fry, Wm. Justin Fry, Sasha Lindsey, Janae Fry, Katelyn Curtis,
Kennedy Curtis; brothers and sisters, twin sister Millie, Stephen Busha,
Stephanie Ernst, Milan Busha, Alvin Busha. Preceded in death by parents and
son, Gregory Paul Busha. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 15,
2005 at 12:00 noon at Holladay Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 Highland Drive where

Columbus, Ralph Peter "J.R."       
Ralph Columbus "J.R." Ralph Peter Columbus, 73, died on September 10, 2005,
from injuries sustained in a tragic auto pedestrian accident. He was born June
29, 1932, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Ralph and Emma Costanzo Columbus. He
worked for many years at the Kenilworth Mine and later for Bruno's Caf . He
married Mariann Bohonowicz, June 28, 1986. She died February 20, 2001. He was
loved by everyone. J. R. is survived by his #1 son, Robbie Leslie; sisters,
Rosemarie Harmond and Elizabeth Trotman. The "Big Unc" had three loving
nephews and three loving nieces, eight grand nephews and one grand niece. Also
survived by his mother-in-law, Ella Bohonowicz and many wonderful cousins and
friends. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Mariann, his
parents, and two brothers-in-law, Bob and Don. Funeral services will be held
Friday at 1 p.m. at Neil O'Donnell and Sons Mortuary, 372 East 100 South,
where friends may call one hour prior. Interment, Mt. Calvary Catholic

Coombe, Marie Yancey Morris        
Marie Yancey Morris Coombe 1915 ~ 2005 Marie Yancey Morris Coombe passed away
September 10, 2005 in Mesa, Arizona. Marie was born October 12, 1915 in
Taylorsville, Utah, the only daughter of Thomas E. and Eleanor Bringhurst
Yancey. She attended school in Taylorsville at Plymouth Elementary and
graduated from Granite High School. She married Spencer E. Morris in 1939, and
divorced in 1961. She married William (Bill) J. Coombe in 1966. Marie was a
very competent and skilled executive secretary. She worked as the personal
secretary to Salt Lake City Mayor, J. Bracken Lee, and for Kennecott Copper
for several years. She also worked at Westminister College until her
retirement in 1980. She loved her association with life long friends and
members of her bridge club. In 1980 she and Bill moved to Post Falls, Idaho to
live near her daughter, Ann. After a few years they moved back to Salt Lake
City and resided in Three Fountains East. In 2001 she moved to Chandler,
Arizona to be near her daughter, Tracey, and her family. She is preceded in
death by her parents; brothers, Orin and Ralph Yancey, and her husband, Bill.
She is survived by her daughters, Ann (Joel) Stookey, Post Falls, Idaho; and
Tracey (David) Miller, Chandler, Arizona; nine grandchildren, Christopher
(Kathy) Stookey, Lincoln (Connie) Stookey, Shayne (Nyla) Miller, Sauna (Brett)
Clark, Derek (Camille) Miller, Erin (Bruce) Turley, Tylan (Marcy) Miller, Cody
(Kristen) Miller, Megan (Brian) Johnson, of Arizona; 15 great-grandchildren;
nieces, Karen (Larry) Johnson and Rakell (Gene) Gardner; nephews, Ron (Susan)
Thorne and Bill Thorne. Services will be held Saturday, September 17, 2005,
12:00 noon at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville,

Evans, Joshua Dale       
Joshua Dale Evans 1974 ~ 2005 Joshua Dale Evans, our loving son, grandson,
husband, father, brother, nephew, and uncle, died September 7, 2005. Joshua
was born in Salt Lake City on October 11, 1974. He married Kim Fermo Evans,
his first love in December of 1995. Kim is the loving mother of their three
sons Cole, Conner and Chandler who were the light of his life. He was an
active and devoted father. In May of 2004 Joshua married Emily Wilkin Evans
and said he was the happiest he had ever been. Josh had an infectious smile
and a quiet charm and charisma that drew people to him. He had a quick mind
and was good at anything he put his mind to. He enjoyed playing golf with
Emily and his boys. He was a fan of soccer, basketball and football,
especially the Dallas Cowboys. He loved fishing and the outdoors and most
recently revealed a great artistic talent as a painter. Josh Worked with his
granddad in 1986 and went on to establish in 1996 WE Corp Key Quality Roofing
with granddad as President and Joshua as Vice President. He will be profoundly
missed by those who survive him: wife Emily Wilkin Evans; sons Cole, Conner
and Chandler; parents Scott Smith and Rick and Cindy Clift; brothers Tyson and
Carson Clift and Jake and Nick Smith; sisters Kallie Clift-Peterson and
Madeline and McCayla Smith; grandparents Dale and Lucille Evans; Kay and
Bonnie Clift; aunts Vicki Davey, Linda Mortensen, Karen Sorrels, Pam Wootton,
Teri Hart, Shaunna Peterjohn, and Mary Vasey and uncles Paul Evans and Jerry
Clift. The family will receive visitors on Wed. Sept. 14th from 6 - 8 p.m. at
Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 S. Highland Dr. where Funeral services will be
held on Thursday at 2 p.m.

Gibbs, Ada Weedop        
Ada Weedop Gibbs 1924 ~ 2005 KAYSVILLE - "It was a good day to die." September
9, 2005, the sun was a brilliant yellow disc warming everyone it shone on. The
azure sky prepared to take a beautiful spirit. Ada Weedop Gibbs laughed, sang,
ran and for the first time in 20 years, saw the clouds. Ada was born in Lost
River, Idaho, August 2, 1924, to goodly parents Henry and Nellie Weedop. Later
they moved to Rupert, Idaho, where she graduated in 1942. Good fortune and
World War II led her to work at Hill Field, where she met the only man she
ever loved, Donald Joseph Gibbs. They were married November 8, 1945, in the
Salt Lake LDS Temple. They raised five children, Ennis J. Gibbs, Woodland,
Sherrill Wood, SLC, Shauna Blasingame, SLC, Brooks Gibbs, Alpine, and Valene
Gibbs, Layton. She was preceded by her parents; brothers, Owen and Ralph; and
sister, Ruth. She is survived by her husband, and children; sisters, Irene
Call and Nadine Buttars; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchil-dren. Ada
had a zest for life burnished by the joy she found in her family. Family
activities were a time for laughter and singing. She enjoyed painting,
handiwork, candy making, games, boating, camping, teaching by example, and
loving the grandkids. During her life she contributed in so many ways. She was
a hard worker, helping Don support the family with part-time jobs, full-time
jobs, and the never ending cherry picking. Eighty-one years later, the world
is a better place because she tended her little corner of it. Funeral services
will be held Saturday, September 17, 2005, 11 a.m. at the Kaysville Fairfield
chapel, 1085 N. 50 East. Friends and family may call Friday from 6-8 p.m. at
the Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 N. Main, and from 9:30-10:30 a.m.
prior to the service at the church. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery. Anyone

Hare, Lorraine Hunter         
Lorraine Hunter Hare "Together Again" 1923 ~ 2005 Lorraine Hunter Hare, 82,
beloved mother, grandmother and friend, returned to her Heavenly Father and
joined her beloved husband on September 11, 2005 at home surrounded by her
loving family. Lorraine was born July 7, 1923 to George Hollis Hunter and
Camilla Adeline Leavitt, in Hawbush, Utah in Millard County. She grew up in
Fillmore, Utah. She married Merlin (Mike) Arthur Hare on August 29, 1940, they
were later sealed for time and all eternity in the Manti LDS temple. The two
great loves of her life were her family and the gospel. She devoted her life
to her husband and raising their 10 children. Lorraine is survived by her 10
children, Robert (Leslie), Dixie Pomeroy (Lamar), Bonnie Peterson (David),
Barbara Hafen (Keith), Kay Lynn Newey (Brian), Susan Steffen (Douglas),
Michael (Janeen), Gail (Julie), Deborah Robinson (Tony), Stephanie Aleman
(Fili), 41 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and seven
great-great-grandchildren; sister Norma Wheeler. Preceded in death by husband
Mike Hare, parents and brothers Dean, Keith. Funeral services will be held
Friday, September 16, 2005 at 12 noon at the Fillmore 2nd Ward LDS Chapel,
where friends may call for viewing Friday morning from 10:00 to 11:30 prior to
the service. Burial will be in the Fillmore City Cemetery under the care of
Rasmussen Mortuary.

Higley, Reah E. Hope          
Reah E. Hope Higley 1921 ~ 2005 Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and
aunt peacefully passed September 12, 2005 at home in the arms of her loving
children, after battling a rare disease. Born February 21, 1921 in Rexburg,
Idaho to John H. Hope and Thora E. Tayson Hope. Married Hyrum J. Higley
November 22, 1938. Their union blessed them with five children: Karen
Albretsen, Keysaw, Valita (Jack) Prisbrey, Sherrie (Larry) Perry, Teresa
Jensen Peterson and Michael Higley; 18 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren
and 11 great-great-grandchildren. She loved family gatherings, gardening, and
watching the Price is Right. She is survived by her five children, four
sisters, one brother and most of her descendants. Funeral services will be
held Saturday, September 17, 2005 at 2 p.m. at Lake Hills Mortuary, 10055
South State Street, Sandy, Utah. Friends may call Friday, September 16 from 6
- 8 p.m. and one hour prior to services.

Homer, Frederick Raymond           
Frederick Raymond Homer 5/31/1926~9/10/2005 Frederick Raymond Homer, 79,
husband, father, grandfather, patriot, servant, and friend, died peacefully at
home of natural causes, on September 10, 2005. Born in Idaho Falls, Idaho May
31, 1926, the eldest son of Alfred Raymond Homer and Delva Haycock Homer, he
spent much of his youth working on a fox farm near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
At 16 he attended his first year of college at Brigham Young University.
Stirred by the events at Pearl Harbor, in 1943, Fred enlisted in the United
States Navy as a medic assistant and fought during World War II, on the
Battleship U. S. S. New York. His enlistment lasted three years. On September
25, 1948, he married the beautiful girl from his chemistry class, LeNila
Young, and they graduated together in 1951, from the University of Utah
College of Pharmacy. Fred touched lives as a neighborhood pharmacist, Utah
Pharmaceutical Association President, Utah Board of Pharmacy Chairman,
University of Utah Adjunct Professor of Pharmacy, Foothill Kiwanis Club
President, and recipient of the Bowl of Hygeia Award, from the American
Pharmaceutical Association. Fred loved the gospel of Jesus Christ and the
opportunities it afforded to bless others, including service in bishoprics,
branch presidencies, home teaching assignments, high councils, temples, and on
two full time missions with his sweetheart, in Los Angeles and Nauvoo. Fred
loved graciously, not only his family but others in need of a father,
confidant, or friend. His Porter's Fork cabin, reading "Scrooge," Herman the
Dachshund, Fairview, University of Utah games, and church books, were
important to Fred. His passion, however, was his family, especially its heart

Verna Alvey Hotaling 1919 ~ 2005 Verna Alvey Hotaling, age, 86, died Sept. 11,
2005, in Salt Lake City, Ut. She was born on May 7, 1919, in Delta, Utah to
John and Maren C. Hansen Alvey. She married Donald C. Hotaling Oct. 30, 1937.
She liked to crochet and she made lots of dolls. She also worked at Hartvigsen
School for 25 years as a foster grandma. She is survived by son, Richard;
sisters, Rosella Brinkley, Mary Carlson, and Elaine (Bud) Himstreat; nieces;
Evoline (Bob) Gardner and Ruth Cunningham; several other nieces and nephews
and special friend, Bunny Bodgen. She was preceded in death by her husband,
Donald C. Hotaling; brothers, John M and Earl Alvey. Graveside services will
be held Thursday, Sept. 15, 2005 at 3:30 pm at Mountain View Memorial
Cemetery, 3115 East 7800 South, Salt Lake City, Utah, with a viewing from 2:00

Jones, Opal Swallow           
Opal Swallow Jones "Eternal Companions" Opal Swallow Jones, age 88, peacefully
passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2005. The oldest of five children, Opal
was born December 21, 1916 in Meadow, Utah to Thomas Charles Swallow and Vanda
Duncan. Married her beloved husband of 53 years, A. Lynn Jones, November 28,
1938 in Salt Lake City, later solemnized in the Manti Temple July 12, 1963.
Her generosity and love knew no bounds. Her sweet spirit will be dearly missed
by all who knew her. A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints, Opal served with unwavering faith and a heart full of charity. Most
notable was her service in the Primary, serving eight years as Primary
President followed by eight years as Stake Primary President and many more
years as a teacher, dedicated visiting teacher, and Relief Society President.
She and Lynn served in the Massachusetts Boston Mission 1983-84. Prior to her
mission, she worked as the manager of the Books and Stationary Department at
ZCMI Cottonwood. Opal's greatest mission however, and her life's work was her
family. Always placing her family first, she devoted her life to her children
and her beloved husband. Few couples ever know the bond of love and deep
devotion that Opal and Lynn had for each other. Surely it was a glorious
reunion. Opal is preceded in death by her husband; parents; sister, Thera
Ross; and brother, Chad Swallow. She is survived by her brother, Grover
(Brookie) Swallow; sister, Shirley Gotchy; sister-in-law, Norma Swallow;
children, Gordon (Sharron) Jones, Murray, Utah; Mark (Karen) Jones, Murray,
Utah; Janice (Larry) Pehrson, Sandy, Utah; Fred (Linda) Jones, Holladay, Utah;
21 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 16, 2005 at the
Murray 3rd Ward, 160 E. 4600 South, Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at

Thelma L. Kilbury 1917 ~ 2005 Thelma L. Kilbury died Sat. Sept. 10th 2005 in
Union City, CA. She was born Nov. 4, 1917 in Hinkley, Utah to Harvey Ray
Loveland and Mary Louisa Mecham. She married David H. Van Ausdal Sept. 6,
1933. They had five children: James, Keith, Harold, Louise and Harvey.
Divorced 1949. She married Guy Overman Sept. 1950. He adopted her youngest son
Harvey. They owned Ideal Mattress & Furniture in Provo for many years. She was
also a beautician and sold real estate in the Provo area. After moving to
California in 1977, she married Ronald G. Anderson Jan 15, 1978. He died July
23, 1978. She married Minard B. Mike Kilbury, Sept. 5, 1979 and they had a
fairy tale romance for the next 26 years. She was preceded in death by sons
Harold and James. Survived by her husband Mike, sons Keith and Harvey and
daughter Louise, step-daughters Barbara and Adrienne and their families.

Larsen, Leo C.           
Leo C. Larsen 1908 ~ 2005 Leo C. Larsen, age 96, passed away Sept. 9, 2005 of
natural causes. He was born Dec. 14, 1908 in Mt. Pleasant, UT to Fred and Mary
Ann (Burton) Larsen. He married Relia Shaw June 8, 1937 in the Manti LDS
Temple. She passed away Jan 9, 1982. He later married Dorothy Clay who also
preceded him in death. He graduated from North Sanpete High School and Snow
College and served an LDS mission to Canada. He was well known throughout
Sanpete County as the owner of Larsen Dairy which was the first Grade A milk
processing plant south of Provo. He later delivered dairy products for Hi-Land
Dairy. Leo, a member of the LDS Church, served in many callings, including
Bishop for 10 years, High Councilor for 21 years. He and Relia served together
in the Manti Temple and Sacramento, CA. Mission. During his golden years, Leo
enjoyed writing his personal history and authored many other books related to
his family. He is survived by a brother, Burton Larsen of Salt Lake City and
children: Euvonna (Vernal) Christensen (Mt. Pleasant); Brooks (Nikki) Larsen
(Modesto, CA) Leola (Bill) Barnhill (Sugar City, ID) Thayne (Ellen) Larsen
(Payson, UT); and Fred (Carleen) Larsen (Orem, UT). One brother (Vernon)
preceded him in death. Leo has 26 grandchildren and 53 great-grand-children,
one great-great-grandson. Services will be held Fri., Sept. 16, 2005 at 12:00
noon in the Mt. Pleasant 2nd Ward chapel at 295 S. Main; Mt. Pleasant, UT.

Liddiard, Harold Gadd         
Harold Gadd Liddiard 1932 ~ 2005 NEPHI - Harold Gadd Liddiard, our loving
husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend
passed away September 12, 2005 in Nephi, Utah. He was born May 25, 1932 in
Nephi, Utah to Francis Vernon and Ida Rachel Gadd Liddiard. He married Myrleen
Allan on October 1, 1954 in Fountain Green, Utah. He was a member of the LDS
Church. He graduated from Juab High School in 1950 and served in the Korean
War from 1950-1952 with the National Guard. He was a member of the American
Legion Post #1 for 50 years. He worked for various companies around Nephi,
including Pexton Wholesale Company for 32 years. As a salesman he traveled to
Southern Utah and had many friends there. Hal always had a smile for everyone.
He survived by his wife, Myrleen of Nephi; son, Todd (Michelle) of Kaysville;
daughters, Tonna Johnson and Terina Liddiard of Salt Lake City; grandchildren,
Elise, Arielle, Hayden, Jackson, Brin, Darci, Tyrell, Bryce, Nadalee and
Kyler; two great grandchildren, Julian and Cyrus; brother, George E. Liddiard
of Tooele; sister-in-law, Sonia Liddiard of Tooele; many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents and brothers, LaVar, Wayne and Ray. Funeral
services will held at 11 a.m. Friday, September 16, 2005 in the Nephi 3rd

Nielsen, Cora Stirland        
Cora Stirland Nielsen 1927 ~ 2005 Cora Stirland Nielsen, 78, died Sunday,
Sept. 11, 2005 in Salt Lake City from complications following a stroke. Cora
was born March 30, 1927 in Providence, Utah to Christian Stirland and Pearl
Allen Stirland, the third of six children. Cora graduated from South Cache
High School in 1945 and went on to work at the First National Bank in Logan.
Cora married Reed J. Nielsen in the Logan LDS Temple on June 12, 1950 and
together they enjoyed 51 years of marriage blessed with three daughters and
nine grandchildren. Prior to Reed's passing on June 19, 2001, Cora and Reed
shared a passion for world travel and spent their retirement together
exploring the globe. Cora's children, grandchildren, home and church work
provided her with her greatest joy in life. Cora is survived by her daughters,
Patricia DeCastro (Joseph) of Midway, Utah; Jeri Lyn Petersen (Brent) of Ft.
Worth, Texas; Sandra Richards (Michael) of Salt Lake City; nine grandchildren;
two brothers and two sisters. She was preceded in death by her husband Reed,
her parents and her beloved older sister Ortel Roohr. The family wishes to
express their sincere thanks to the kind staff of the Highland Care Center for
their compassionate and loving care. Thursday evening viewing, 6-8 p.m. at

Peters, Roger Wesley          
Roger Wesley Peters 8/24/1932~ 9/13/2005 Roger Wesley Peters, 73, died on
Sept. 11, 2005 in Salt Lake City. He was born on the family farm August 24,
1932 in the Town of Empire, Wisconsin to Clementine (Keys) and Reinhold
Peters. Roger was a 1950 graduate of Fond du Lac High School and earned his
degree in Architecture from the University of Michigan in 1956. During high
school he started his career in residential home design and construction,
building hundreds of homes in Fond du Lac, many while attending college and
serving in the army in Lebanon and Germany. His career later expanded into
commercial development in Wisconsin and Minnesota where he was particularly
proud of Rochester Towers in Rochester Minnesota, Cobblestone Square in Fond
du Lac, and University Square in Mankato, Minnesota. Roger loved people and
their potential. He brought together a talented team that developed and
expanded to eighty Hardee's restaurants in six states including Utah where he
relocated in 1984. Over the last four years, he worked closely with Minnesota
State University in Mankato, redeveloping a unique mixed use property for
university students. Roger had a passion for recognizing and fostering the
potential in others, helping many to start out in new careers and businesses.
He applied his entrepreneurial approach to philanthropy, as well. He supported
and was a director of many charitable and educational organizations, including
the Utah Governor's High School Entrepreneur Program, Utah Boys Ranch, Choice
Humanitarian, Realms of Inquiry School, Turnabout, Minnesota State University
and Visions of a Better World Foundation. He also founded his own charitable
organization, People Helping People Help Themselves, which primarily supports
educational, health and economic development initiatives in rural Africa and
South America. Roger loved to read and he loved stimulating conversation. He
was also a world traveler. He is survived by a son, David Peters of Park City,
Utah; two daughters, Ann and Susan Peters of Brooklyn, New York; two
grandchildren, Claire and Matthew Peters of Park City, Utah; and a sister,
Charlotte Ammel of Milwaukee. Memorials may be sent to People Helping People

Nyle Henry Reese "Together Forever" Nyle Henry Reese, loving husband, father,
grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away September 12, 2005. He was
born in Bloomington, Idaho on August 21, 1926 to Lotwick L. and Frances
Elizabeth Brown Reese. Married his sweetheart, Betty Nell Olsen, on August 11,
1944 in Murray, UT; later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple May 25, 1965.
Nyle served in the US Navy in World War II from 1944-46. He was an active High
Priest in the LDS Church. He was a member of The Operating Engineers Local #3
for 53 years. He loved to play golf after retiring. Survived by his wife,
Betty; two daughters, Sue (Rick) Gelino and Brenda Reese; grandson, Nyle Layne
(Kathy) Boyce; great-grandsons, Nyle Chase Boyce and Justin;
great-granddaughters, Mikail and Mikilah; brother, Lynn T. (Carolyn) Reese;
sister, Nola Reese. Preceded in death by seven brothers and one sister.

Russell, Steve Gill           
Steve Russell "Still Riding" He was born Steven Gill Russell in Salt Lake
City, May 24, 1952 and passed away September 10, 2005. He graduated from
Granite High School 1970, other achievements included a Brown Belt in Kempo
Karate and a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. He pursued his career with Technical
schooling in the Steel Fabrication Industry. He later went on to run
Structural Steel for 10 years and ultimately opened up his own steel business
in 1986 where he and his wife have owned and operated Steel Works Inc. for the
past 20 years. Steve was also an avid hunter of ducks and bucks. But his true
passion was always searching for the trophy elk with his best friend Bob
Larson. Even on the day he passed away, he was found in his camouflage sitting
on his 4-wheeler with his hands gripped to the handle bars, ready to ride. He
was a devoted family man and spent countless hours helping anyone who needed
it. Everyone who knew Steve, knew all you had to do was talk to him and you
had an instant friend. Steve is survived by his loving wife, Nikki; mother,
Carol Russell; two sons, Chris and Brett Russell, and his daughter, Georgia
(Allan) Davidson; three sisters, Patty Russell, Dawn (David) Lucas, Sue
(Scott) Knaub and brother, Shane (Tammy) Russell. A special thank you goes out
to all of our employees at Steel Works who have dedicated themselves through
their continued employment to help Steve's legacy live on. Funeral Services

Gerald LeRoy Sessions "Jerry" Our Special Hero, husband, father, and
grandfather passed into the arms of his Heavenly Father on September 10, 2005,
after fighting a long battle with complications due to congestive heart
failure. Born February 3, 1933 in Salt Lake City, Utah to his angel mother
Edrie Foster and Harvey Sessions. Married Barbara Sessions in December 1980 in
Las Vegas, Nevada. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day
Saints and was a High Priest in the Cottonwood 9th Ward. He worked 18 years in
the family business, H. Sessions and Sons Asphalt and Paving. He was employed
for 21 years as a refueling specialist at Hill Air Force Base, and received
many awards including the Civilian Award for Valor from the United States Air
Force. A man with simple tastes and needs, a cherished husband, a very loving
and accepting father, and the world's best Grandpa. He loved his family very
much and had a nickname for all his children and grandchildren. He told great
stories and tall-tales, especially for the kids, which will be retold for many
years to come. We all loved his "famous" cartoon drawings he drew on our
hands, even into adulthood. He is survived by his wife Barbara; Daughters,
Rosemary (Dale) Champion; Cathy (Stan) Rock; Mary Jo (David) Corey; Sons, Mark
(Brenda) Ehlers; John Sessions; Carl Sessions; Curtis (Amy) Sessions; Craig
(Janie) Sessions, 24 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Brother, Bob
Sessions (Valine); Sister, Faye (Keith) Beynon, and Auntie Jean. Preceded in
death by his parents; sister, Betty Christensen; son, Stewart Sessions;

Smith, Louise       
Louise Smith "Precious Grandma" Louise Smith daughter of David Asael and Emily
Jenkins Smith and the youngest of nine children, born March 23, 1916 returned
peacefully to her Father in Heaven Sept. 12, 2005. She was an example of
service, love and courage her entire life. At the age of 25, she took on the
responsibility of raising her brother's children and soon after, the care of
her parents. She considered this to be a blessing and the children called her
mother. She served in many capacities in the LDS Church and served a full time
mission to Canada. In her later years, she loved to create beautiful things
for friends and family and was always generous and humble in her giving. She
enjoyed being available whenever she could help and often took friends to
doctor's appointments or the grocery store. Her brothers included David J,
Asael J., Alfred J., Robert J., Edward J., Elmer J., and Hyrum J. and sister
Mahala. She is survived by her daughter Sydney Lee Smith (O.. Richard Flack),
her grandchildren Ric (Nikki), Mindy, Laurel, Chari (Shawn Goff), and Justin
(Bethany), and her great-grandchildren Regan, Kelsie, Kennedi, Abby, and
McKinley. Also by James Stull Smith (Susan) and their children, grandchildren
and great grandchildren and her countless nieces, nephews and sister in law,
Elsie Kay Smith. We would like to thank the dear staff at the Legacy House of

Ray Wilkey "Gone Fishing" Jack Raymond "Ray" Wilkey, age 68, passed away
September 13, 2005. Born January 24, 1937 in Ephraim, Utah, son of John
Kendell and Leola Fern Peterson Wilkey. Married Joyce Wilson in Redding, CA;
later divorced. He served honorably in the Air National Guard and Coast Guard.
He worked at Hercules Aerospace for over 35 years. Enjoyed taking his boys
fishing and hunting. Also enjoyed golfing and spending time with his
grandchildren. Survived by sons: Michael (Sheila), Richard (Shirley) and
Ronald; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grand-children. Preceded in death by
parents; sister, Carol Ann Wilkey Jones; grandson, Richard Anthony Wilkey.

Williamson, Gayle Gilbert          
Gayle Gilbert Williamson 1944 ~ 2005 Gayle Gilbert Williamson passed away
peacefully at home on September 10, 2005 after an eighteen year battle with
breast cancer: Born in Oakland, California to Owen and Dorothy Cole Gilbert,
she moved to Salt Lake City with her family in 1954. In 1966, she married
Michael Williamson. A year later, she graduated from the University of Utah
College of Nursing. In 1981, she and her husband divorced. She is survived by
her mother, Dorothy Gilbert; her daughter, Page Williamson Quintana (Deleone);
her son, Charles "Chuck" Williamson (Amie); and her brother-in-law, William M.
Browning. She also leaves behind her puppies, Sammie and Hannah. Her father,
Owen Gilbert, and her sister, Diane Gilbert Browning, preceded her in death.
Gayle greatly appreciated the medical care that brought her many years of
quality time, during which she was able to see both her son and daughter
graduate from college and she was able to attend both of their weddings. She
especially was grateful to Hugh Hogle, Anna Beck, Mary Jane Norman, and the
doctors and staff of the Huntsman Cancer Institute and the nurses and staff of
Lifepath Hospice. For many years, Gayle enjoyed working with the Salt Lake
Valley Health Department Communicable Disease Bureau. She loved her co-workers
and gave thanks to them and her friends for their support for so many years.
You know who you are. At Gayle's request, there will be no service.
