STOUT William Hooper Stout, 76, of 1232 East Fourth South Street, died in a Salt Lake hospital this morning (1 March 1940) at 3:10 o'clock. Mr. Stout was born at St. George Oct. 10, 1863, a son of Hosea and Alvira Wilson Stout. He lived at Holladay for many years before making his home in Salt Lake three years ago. His wife, Mrs. Levona North Stout, died in 1937. Surviving are four daughters and two sons. Mrs. Dean Palmer, Mrs. Viola Sweeney and Mrs. Louise Debenham, all of Salt Lake; Mrs. Lillian Johnson of New York, Glen Stout of Newark, N.J. and Weston Stout of Oakland, California; six grandchildren, and a brother, Charles Stout of San Francisco. --- My note: William Hooper Stout was an older brother of my grandmother, Alvira Stout Clarkson (1866-1923).
