Lena M. Goodwine Lena Ruth Morganson Goodwine, 84, died December 1, 2004 in Payson. She was born December 31, 1919 to James and Mary Rebecca Reid Morganson. She married Pete M. Goodwine December 31, 1941. Pete and Lena were fortunate enough to be able to travel and live in various areas, including California, New Mexico and Cuba. She loved being with her husband during all these moves. Goshen became home after retirement. Four children were born to Pete and Lena: James Frederick, Diane, Earl Glade and Kathleen. Surviving Lena is her brother, Robert Morganson, a daughter, Kathleen, 9 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Preceding her in death was her husband, sons, Jim and Glade, daughter, Diane, two brothers, Reid and Wallace, and two sisters, Grace Turner and Marion Kendall. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 6th at 11:00 a.m. in the Holladay-Brown Funeral Home, 66 South 300 East, Santaquin, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Burial, Santaquin Cemetery. Published in the Daily Herald on 12/3/2004. Jensen, Gary Oleen Gary Oleen Jensen June 6, 1936 - November 29, 2004 The time has come for our dear sweet dad to say goodbye. He had a wonderful life and we know he is in a better place. Gary Oleen Jensen was born June 6, 1936 in Lewiston, Utah. His parents were Oleen Jensen and Helen Chism Jensen. He attended high school in Ogden, Utah where he was active in baseball. Dad loved baseball! He was lucky enough to play on several state championship teams. Gary served an LDS Mission to Uruguay from 1957-1060. He received a BA from Brigham Young University and a Masters in Education from the University of Utah. Gary married Carol Nemelka in 1963 they were later divorced. They had eight wonderful children, Kib (Lisa), Jamie Brown (Andy), Jeron, Jennifer Slater (Rod), Ginger Timmerman (Casey), Justin (deceased), Gavin (Mandy), Jonathan (Michelle), and eighteen grandchildren. On February 19, 1994, Gary married Patricia Larsen Keller, his eternal mate, whom dad always referred to as "an awesome companion!" He was lucky enough to gain Patricia's five wonderful children Clay Keller (Kelly), Jeff Keller (Michelle), Chris Keller (Shelly), Nicole Wardrop (Lane) and Michelle Vider (Shad) and nineteen grandchildren. He spent his career as high school teacher, teaching in California and at Mountain View and Timpanogos High School's in Orem, Utah. He loved being a school teacher and always had great memories of all the kids who passed through his classroom door. He loved his life! Gary loved sports and spent a lot of time coaching, especially with having five sons. He enjoyed many high school games and found great pleasure in his association with the young people who participated in these sports. Gary is survived by brothers and sisters, Ann Wolford, Ogden, Utah. Robert Jensen, Sandy, Utah. Diane Miller, Riverside, California. Jim Whitlock, Ogden, Utah. Paul Jensen, West Jordan, Utah and Lowell Jensen, Salt Lake City, Utah. He is preceded in death by his parents Oleen Lyle Jensen and Helen May Chism, his son Justin, his sister Carolyn and brother Ron. Our Dad's last wish was that we wouldn't mourn for him because he is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and he knew what would be awaiting him. He said it would good and great! Funeral services for Gary will be held on Monday, December 6, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at the Pilgrims Landing 2nd LDS Ward Chapel, 3145 West Mayflower Avenue, Lehi, Utah. Family and friends may call Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Warenski Funeral Home, 1776 North 900 East, American Fork, Utah (located 4 blocks North of the Mt. Timpanogos Temple) and at the church, Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. prior to services. Kamai Jr., Ezekiel Kanumu "Bae" Ezekiel "Bae" Kanumu Kamai Jr. Ezekiel "Bae" Kanamu Kamai Jr. of Orem, Utah passed away November 30, 2004, his 30th wedding anniversary, at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center. He was born March 23, 1952 in Honolulu, Oahu Hawaii to Ezekiel Kanamu and Roselyn Kapolei (Keliiliki) Kamai. He was the oldest of twelve children. Ezekiel was raised in Laie, Hawaii and attended Kahuku High School, Church College of Hawaii (now known as BYU-Hawaii), and Brigham Young University. He loved to play sports and lettered in football, basketball, baseball, and soccer at Kahuku High. Ezekiel served an LDS Mission to New Mexico and Arizona and married Teragahau Titi Merehau Temanaha Mo'o on November 30, 1974 in the Hawaii LDS Temple. Ezekiel was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and musician. His love was like a lighthouse in a bad rain storm guiding lost ships and leading them where they needed to go. He shared his love and warm smile with everyone he came in contact with. His faith was a steppingstone for those searching for a way back onto the right path. He has touched many lives and his spirit will continue to live with his family and friends. We love him and will miss him but we know through Heavenly Father's plan that we all can be together again. Thank you Dad for the best ride of our lives! Ezekiel is survived by his wife Merehau (Mo'o) Kamai; Grandchildren: Makena Fe'a and Micah Fe'a; Children: Shaanta Kamai, Ammon Kamai, Laiza (Kamai) Fea, Junior Fe'a, Taina Kamai, and Mack Iosefo; Siblings: John Kamai, Teddy Kamai, Sam Kamai, Dale Kamai, Matt Kamai, Nani Unga, Patricia Kamai, Cheryl Evans, Darlyn Evans, Gina Yarbrough, and Tammy Kamai. Published in the Daily Herald on 12/3/2004. Welsh, Lorraine W. Lorraine W. Welsh Lehi - Lorraine Whitesides Welsh, 76, returned home to her Heavenly Father, Tuesday, November 30, 2004. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was born January 28, 1928 in Ogden, Utah to Zulon E. and Emma Mae Carver Whitesides. She married Robert John Welsh August 26, 1946 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Lorraine was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and loved her Savior so much. She served as a Relief Society President, Chorister and Sunday School teacher in various wards. She loved her family with all her heart and enjoyed spending time with them. Her hobbies included sewing and reading. She is survived by her husband Robert John Welsh; sons, Jon E. Welsh, Oxnard, CA; Mark (Lisa) Welsh, Franklin, TN; daughter Pattie Rae (John Paul) Peterson, Lehi, UT; eight grandchildren, Vanessa, R. Loren, Sherilyn, Shon, Jesse, Rhiannon, Jennalyn, and Alia; and her sister Sally (Michael) Collins, Syracuse, UT. She was preceded in death by her parents, infant grandson John Paul Peterson II, and brother Kent Whitesides. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 4, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main. Young Once Again They Are a Team Harry Lester Young, age 90, of Provo, Utah, passed away December 1, 2004. He was born June 23, 1914 to Alfred L. and Chlothield Christensen Young in Salt Lake City, Utah. He married Doris Ruth Rose on April 24, 1935. She preceded him in death on December 11, 1995. Harry worked as a supervisor for Mountain Bell Telephone Co. for 38 years before retiring. He was a "Pioneer Member" at the Alpine Country Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Doris, and by a brother. He is survived by a son and a daughter, Harry Lee (Sylvia) Young of Salt Lake City; and Pamela Jean (Clark) Mitchell of Provo; and by one brother, Paul A. Young of South Jordan, Utah; 4 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Graveside services will be held Saturday, December 4, 2004, at 11:00 a.m., at the Provo City Cemetery, 610 South State Street, Provo.
