Blaine D Gray, 70, of Pleasant Grove passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 16, 2004 at American Fork Hospital. He was born December 21, 1933 in Lehi to Ernest and Wanda Davis Gray. He married Naomi Mayberry on August 21, 1953 in Provo. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Blaine grew up in Orem and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1952. After his marriage, he and Naomi made their home in Pleasant Grove where they raised their children. Blaine served in the 1457th Engineering Battalion of the Utah National Guard for 15 years. He worked for Utah County, Pleasant Grove City, Ashrock, and the LDS Church during his life. He especially enjoyed his 35 years of volunteer service with the Pleasant Grove Fire Department where he developed close and long-lasting friendships. Blaine enjoyed camping and fishing with his family and was a devout scout leader for many years. He also enjoyed coaching youth baseball and basketball. He is survived by his wife Naomi; children: Jerry (Marcia) Gray, Pleasant Grove; Pam (Andy) Ringger, Payson and Lane (Delayne) Gray, Pleasant Grove; 16 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Additional survivors include siblings: Ralph (Trudy) Gray, Ohio; Diane Smith, Springville; and Wesley (Joan) Smith, Orem. He was preceded in death by two brothers and infant grandson Daniel James Ringger. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 20, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. in the Pleasant Grove Stake Center, 275 East 500 South, Pleasant Grove. Friends may call Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Olpin Family Mortuary, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove and at the church on Monday one hour prior to services. Larsen, Richard Lewis Richard Lewis Larsen Our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Richard Lewis Larsen, passed away peacefully from a massive heart attack with his family at his side on December 15, 2004, at the age of 84. Richard was born on September 23, 1920 in Carbon County, Utah into the loving family of George Franklin and Sarah Florence Brough Larsen. His LDS pioneer ancestry and parents provided him examples of love, integrity, education, strong work ethic, and mighty peacemaking abilities, which he honored, magnified, and added upon throughout his life. He married his eternal sweetheart, Lois Elaine Fowlke, in the Manti Temple and together they are the proud parents of six children. Richard was a patriot and veteran of World War II serving four years including service in Japan and Korea where he was wounded. Richard was honorably discharged as First Sergeant for the 3435th Medium Maintenance Company where he was responsible for all military personnel assignments and inspections. Richard received a B.S. Degree in Accounting and Business Management from Brigham Young University and studied Advanced Accounting Principles in a Masters Degree Program at New York University. Richard retired after 44 years of Senior Management Positions from Geneva Works US Steel, Works Accounting Division. He authored and instructed Advanced Cost Accounting Curriculum for US Steel Works Divisions. In addition, he was responsible for audits of various US Steel Mine Operations. Richard was devoted to his family, the LDS Church and his community. He always provided dedication and leadership to his responsibilities. He served as Bishop of the Provo 5th Ward, High Councilor in the Provo Stake, and Chairman of the Provo Regional Bishop's Storehouse. As Bishop, Richard had the primary responsibility of building and financing the Provo 5th & 8th Ward Meetinghouse. He and his wife, Lois, pioneered and directed two M-Men & Gleaner Multi-Stake Conferences. Richard and Lois together served three LDS Service Missions, one at the Provo Mission Training Center and two missions for the Audit Department at the LDS Church Office Building in Salt Lake City, Utah. For over a decade, Richard provided financial management to Provo City and Orem City Freedom Festivals. Richard was active in temple work, and compiling many family histories and genealogies. He designed and personally built several homes for his family. He also enjoyed with his wife, Lois, their Soldier Creek summer home and extensive foreign travel. Richard is survived by his wife, Lois, his children: Sanrolane (Malcolm) Richards of College Station, TX; Annette Larsen of Provo, UT; Richard (Maureen) Larsen of Raymond, Alberta, Canada; Shauna (Kenneth) VanWagoner of Midway, UT; Lewis (Stephanie) Larsen of Alexandria, VA; and Gregory (Katherine) Larsen of Salt Lake City, UT; his brother, Robert Larsen of Mesa, AZ; 19 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Grace Harding; granddaughter, Stephanie Elaine Richards; and a great-grandson, James Tucker Richards. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 18th at 1:00 p.m., at the Pleasant View 1st Ward Chapel, 650 East Stadium Avenue, Provo, Utah. A viewing for family and friends will be held at 11:00 a.m. prior to the services at the Pleasant View 1st Ward Relief Society Room. Berg Mortuary of Provo will assist the family and Interment Services with Military Honors provided by the Veterans of Foreign Wars will be held at the Provo City Cemetery. Martenson, Brett Micheal Brett Micheal Martenson, born in Seattle, Washington, March 28, 1965, passed away peacefully, at his home in Orem, on December 9, 2004. Brett will be remembered for his love of fishing Strawberry Reservoir andthe Weber River. He alsoloved music andanimals, especially his many cats and pet bird. They loved him in return. After graduating from high school in Seattle, he attended community college in broadcasting and was aDJ in Seattle before moving to Utah. He worked at Stogie's, where he made many friends who will dearly miss him. Hewas preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his mother and a sister. He is also survived and missedby his long time companion, Susan Tyacke, of Orem. Condolences can be sent to Susan at 746 West 600 North, Orem, Utah 84057. Millward, Reah May Weatherston Millward Together Forever Our loving mother and grandmother, Reah Millward, 81, passed away Dec 16, 2004 at her home in American Fork. Mom was born Feb 21, 1923 in Plano, Idaho to Leo Stanley and Laomi May Hemsley Weatherston. She married her sweetheart, Marden Robinson Millward, Dec 7, 1946 and was sealed to him in the Idaho Falls Temple, May 29, 1951. Dad passed away June 18, 1989. Mom was raised in Plano, Idaho and graduated from Madison High School in Rexburg. She has been active in the LDS Church, serving in many callings including ordinance worker in the Provo and Mt. Timpanogos Temples. Mom was a gentle, loving person who displayed Christlike attributes to all with whom she came in contact. Her family was the most important thing in her life and she served them unselfishly. She enjoyed reading and handiwork and was a wonderful cook and homemaker. Survived by her children: Karen (Dean) Evans of American Fork; Gary M.(Kathy) of West Valley City; Brent W. (Mary) of American Fork; Mardene (Bill) Boren of Orem; Carolyn (Dennis) Jensen of Orem; 21 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Ralph Weatherston (Vida) and Leon Weatherston (Bonnie) of Rexburg, 2 sisters, Carma Cooper (Dick) of Rexburg and Geneal Havens of Idaho Falls. Preceded in death by her husband, granddaughter Robyn, parents, son-in-law, Dean Evans, 2 brothers, Marvin & Dale Weatherston. Funeral services will be Monday, December 20, 2004 at 11 am in the American Fork 10th Ward, 507 West 700 North. Friends may call Sunday evening from 6 to 8 pm at Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 E 100 N, American Fork and Monday from 9:45 to 10:45 am prior to services at the church.
