Edward A DeYoung, 64 of Springville passed away Sunday, December 26, 2004. He was born April 3, 1940 in Peoria, Illinois to Cornelious DeYoung and Laura Pankey DeYoung. He married Mellie Stearnes in Peoria, Illinois on March 17, 1962. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Washington Temple. Edward is survived by his wife of Springville; one son, Henry DeYoung of Payson; one daughter, Gwen Castelton of Springville; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters: Anabell Facker, Margaret Bailey, Emma Seibenthal, Neil DeYoung and a stepsister Barbara Oswald. He was preceded in death by one son, Edward J DeYoung; three sisters, three brothers, one stepbrother and one stepsister. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 31, 2004 at 2 p.m. in the Hobble Creek West Stake Center at 555 South 600 East in Springville where there will be a viewing from 12:45 to 1:45. Kidman, Leah O'Brien Leah O'Brien Kidman, 88, died December 24, 2004, in St. George, Utah. Born August 11, 1916, Hennifer, Utah, married Lyman LaVere Kidman October 28, 1936 in the Salt Lake Temple. Lived in Hennifer, Salt Lake City, Pocatello, Idaho, Logan, Hyrum, Holliday, Riverdale, Spanish Fork and St. George, Utah. She was educated in Salt Lake City being one of the first class to graduate from South High School. Studied at Excelsis Beauty School while working as a cashier in two movie theaters in Salt Lake, opened her own beauty shop in Salt Lake City and worked as a medical receptionist in Pocatello. Served as a helpmeet to her husband in his business activities. She loved to knit, crochet and quilt. Her greatest love was spending time with her family at home or at Pine View Reservoir and at Lake Powell. She was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in which she served as a teacher and for many years as Relief Society president. Survived by her husband and four sons, Gary (Donna) Kidman, St. George, Utah; Richard (Shauna) Kidman, Page Arizona; Dennis (LaVonya) Kidman, Idaho Falls, Idaho and Brent (Kayleen) Kidman, Spanish Fork, Utah. Blessed with 24 wonderful grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren. Also Survived by two brothers, Marvin O'Brien (Elaine) of Redding, California, Keith O'Brien of Salt Lake City, Utah and Beverly (Gary) Fein of St. George, Utah. Preceded her in death by her parents, brother Ralph, niece Jackie and great-granddaughter McKayla. Funeral Services December 31, 2004 at the Spanish Fork 11th Ward, Spanish Fork, Utah with Bishop Troy Bohling presiding. Viewing at 10:00 AM at church. Interment in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery. Published in the Daily Herald from 12/29/2004 - 12/30/2004. Smith, Isabelle Isabelle Smith 1910 ~ 2004 Isabelle Smith, 94, of Payson, Utah, peacefully passed away on December 29, 2004 in Orem, Utah. Isabelle was born on January 13, 1910, in Roosevelt, Utah to Bert and Lyla Smith. Isabelle attended Jordan High School and Heneger's Business College. She was employed for twenty years by Anaconda Copper Company as an Administrative Assistant. She learned many things and worked with many educated and wonderful people there. She was also a clerk of the juvenile court and worked at the law firm of Ray, Quinney, & Nebeker. Survived by sister, Afton Brooks of Payson, Utah; sisters-in-law, Irene Smith of St. George, Utah & Hazel Smith of Payson, Utah; many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. Preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Howard L. Smith and Dan L. Smith; sisters, Louise Jones, Beverly Williams, and Norma Barton. Memorial Services will be held on Friday, December 31, 2004 at Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State Street, Midvale, Utah. Family may call one hour prior to the services. Interment: Draper City Cemetery.
