She passed away Dec. 27, 2004, at Mountain View Hospital. She was born September 8, 1963 in Payson, Utah, to Sandra Pierce Bona and Ralph Greenhalgh, and raised by Thomas E. Bona. She enjoyed dancing, music, singing, and the outdoors. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, mother, aunt, and grandmother. She has many relatives and friends who will dearly miss her. She loved being with her children and was always there to comfort or help anyone in need. She is survived by: her parents; sisters, Kathy Conger (Rory), Pamela Wheelwright (Ron Smith), Corie Shaw (Kelly), Tiffany Gurule; a brother, Brian (Melanie) Bona. She had 1 daughter, Candice (Cody) Hopkins, 2 sons, Spencer Alvey, and Preston Morris, 2 granddaughters, Logan Camara, Payton Hopkins. 1 grandmother, Rose Bona. She is preceded in death by Larry and Lavern Pierce, Howard & Lena Greenhalgh, Thomas E. Bona and Shane Willett. She had fought a long hard battle and she's finally out of pain. We will miss you Mechel, with all our love, your family. Memorial services will be Monday, January 3, 2005, 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the West Mtn. 2nd Ward, 901 West 400 North, Payson. Bonnie J. Baird, 71, died Tuesday, December 28, 2004 at a local care center of congestive heart failure. She was born June 23, 1933 in Goshen, Utah, a daughter of Alden Lewis and Ella Irean Burraston Peterson. Bonnie lived in the Ogden area for the past 40 years. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She retired from the Internal Revenue Service following 28 years of service as a tax examiner. Bonnie enjoyed cooking and taking trips to Wendover. She loved her little dog Snuggles and especially spending time with her grandchildren. The family expresses special thanks to Marge Fox, Legacy Hospice, and Dr. N. Brent Williams for the loving care rendered to Bonnie. Surviving are one son and three daughters, Randy (LuAnn) Hanks, Payson, UT; Nancy (Ron) Wright, Ogden; Heidi Pierce, Payson, UT and Debbie Burrows, Woodland, CA; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Bonnie is also survived by one brother and two sisters, Alden J. (Neva) Peterson, Santaquin, UT; Frances (Wayne) Gull and Deanna Hansen, both of Payson, UT. Preceding her in death were her parents and one sister Carole. Funeral services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Walker Mortuary, 587 South 1st West, Payson, Utah. Friends may call at the mortuary on Monday from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Interment, Santaquin City Cemetery. Carlisle, Gerald "Jerry" Gerald (Jerry) Leon Carlisle was released from his earthly mission Tuesday December 28, 2004. He left behind the love of his life Diane Dayton Carlisle whom he wed in the Salt Lake Temple June 2, 1961. Jerry was born to Charles Luther and Margaret Burt Carlisle, October 21, 1933 in Payson, UT. He is survived by his wife and four children; Jeralyn (Jay) Shaw of Hoyt Lakes, MN. Thayne (Becky) Carlisle of Gunnison, UT. Chris (Lori) Carlisle of Las Vegas, NV. And Candace (Lynn) Wilson of St. George, UT. He loved each one of his 15 grandchildren. Jerry is also survived by his older brothers and sisters, Margaret, Helen, Grant, Ila, David, Lois, Ivan and Elmo. He was preceded in death by his sister Joanne. Jerry graduated from Payson High School and received his teaching degree from Utah State University. He taught math at Farrer Jr. High in Provo for 17 years. He operated his family business "Jerry's Dairy and Burger Barn" in Salem Utah from 1974 to 1990. Jerry and Diane moved to Las Vegas in 1990, where he taught adult education. He retired from teaching in 2003. He was a devoted disciple of Christ and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served as Elders Quorum President, Young Men's President, and as a temple worker in the Nevada, Las Vegas Temple. He will be remembered for quiet humble service to his fellow man. Jerry had a love for nature and the beauty of the earth. He enjoyed raising all kinds of animals. He loved to show his prize Holstein cattle and won many awards with them. He cherished the summers spent at his Lax Lake cabin in Minnesota where he hosted fishing contests for all of the grandchildren. A viewing will be held at Walker Mortuary, 587 South 100 West, Payson, Utah on the evening of Sunday, January 2, from 6-8:00 p.m. The funeral services will be held Monday January 3rd at Mountain View Stake Center, 75 S. 600 E. in Payson, Utah. Madsen, Nelda Veon (Vyonne) Nelda Veon (Vyonne) Madsen McClellan, age 93, of Provo, passed away December 29, 2004, at her home due to complications of pneumonia. She was born July 29, 1911 in Salina, Sevier County, Utah to Clifford Leroy and Ruby Stevens Madsen. She married Scott Parker McClellan on December 29, 1931 in Salt Lake City. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple on November 24, 1939. Scott preceded her in death on September 6, 1986. Vyonne and Scott were the parents of four children; Julie Ann McClellan (Ted) Raban; Dennis Scott McClellan; Michael Dana McClellan; and Patrick Lory (Katie Winn) McClellan. She is survived by two of her children; 12 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Beth Johnson, Wanda Chaiko, and Bonnie Newkirk. She was preceded in death by: sons, Dennis Scott and Michael Dana; granddaughters, Sakajawea and Jaime, and by a brother, Keith Madsen. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 3, 2005, at 10:00 a.m., in the Edgemont 21st Ward LDS Chapel, 2900 North 650 East, Provo. Friends may call Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m., at the Berg Mortuary of Provo, 185 East Center Street, or Monday at the Ward Chapel, one hour prior to services. Smith, Isabelle Isabelle Smith 1910 ~ 2004, 94, of Payson, Utah, peacefully passed away on December 29, 2004 in Orem, Utah. Isabelle was born on January 13, 1910, in Roosevelt, Utah to Bert and Lyla Smith. Isabelle attended Jordan High School and Heneger's Business College. She was employed for twenty years by Anaconda Copper Company as an Administrative Assistant. She learned many things and worked with many educated and wonderful people there. She was also a clerk of the juvenile court and worked at the law firm of Ray, Quinney, & Nebeker. Survived by sister, Afton Brooks of Payson, Utah; sisters-in-law, Irene Smith of St. George, Utah & Hazel Smith of Payson, Utah; many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. Preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Howard L. Smith and Dan L. Smith; sisters, Louise Jones, Beverly Williams, and Norma Barton. Memorial Services will be held on Friday, December 31, 2004 at Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State Street, Midvale, Utah. Family may call one hour prior to the services. Interment: Draper City Cemetery.
