She was born December 27, 1948 in Provo, Utah to Donald Edwin & Delores Carter Sabin. She married Edwin R. Martin November 5, 1966 in Provo, Utah and their marriage was later solenmized in the Manti Temple in 1989. Gena is susvived by her husband Martin of Beaver, two brothers, Dick (Lenette) Sabin of Provo, Ut and Roy Dean Sabin of Provo, Utah. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Ronald & Ricky Sabin and a sister Janice Sabin. Funeral services were held on Monday, November 22, 2004 at 1:00PM at the grave side in the Mountain View Cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary. Mathews, age 76, of Provo, died November 21, 2004, at the Timpanogos Regional Medical Center. He was born December 11, 1927 in Antimony, Utah to Benjamin Lynn and Esther Black Mathews. He married Margaretha Agnitha Leeman on January 10, 1955 in the Manti LDS Temple. He served in the United States Army A 231st infantry in Korea during WWII. He was a member of the LDS Church, and served faithfully all of his life in many organizations, and served an LDS Mission in the Texas-Louisiana Mission. He graduated from B.Y.U. with a Bachelors Degree in Agronomy in 1954. He worked for 33 years as a Grounds Supervisor at B.Y.U., and he was a big B.Y.U. sports fan. Wendell enjoyed working in his garden and spending time outdoors. He loved the time spent with his family, especially with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of Provo; a son, David Wendell (Sheryl Kuhni) Mathews of Monmouth, OR; a daughter, Barbara Rouse of Provo, UT; grandchildren, Nina, Katya, Zachary, Olga, Shawn, Tanya, Valya, Scott, Kasia, Myca and Erin; three brothers and two sisters, Dasil (Kathy) Mathews; Celia Cowley; LaRae Mathews; Kay Mathews; and Paul (Aurella) Mathews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Carolyn, and by three brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 26, 2004, at 2:00 p.m., at the Slate Canyon 2nd Ward Chapel, 715 Utah Ave., Provo. Friends may call at the Ward Chapel from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. prior to services. Interment, Provo City Cemetery. Services under the direction of Berg Mortuary of Provo. Rackele, Frances Donna Potter Frances Donna Potter Rackele Frances Donna Potter Rackele, age 83, of Provo, died November 21, 2004, at the Timpanogos Regional Medical Center. She was born July 3, 1921 in Winter Quarters, Utah to Noah Sr. and Mary Ellen England Potter. She married Rudolph R. Rackele in Price, Utah. Frances attended schools in Carbon County, Utah. She worked as an LPN at the Hospital in Price. She was a member of the Orem Community Church, Order of the Eastern Star of Utah in Price and Provo, the Lady Shriners and Lybia Temple, Daughters of the Nile in Salt Lake City, Utah. Her hobbies included sewing for her family and taking care of her home. She enjoyed a long and loving marriage to her husband Rudolph. She loved her children and grandchildren, and cherished the time spent with them. She is survived by her husband of Provo; Merrielee (Bill) Hatch of El Paso, TX; Kristen (John) Briody of Forestville, CA; Rudene Rackele of Henderson, NV; and Kim (Scott) Fillmore of Provo, UT; 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers, two sisters and a great-granddaughter. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of Orem Nursing and Rehab, Summerfield Manor and Timpanogos Regional Medical Center ICU, for the loving care and kindness given to our wife and mother. A celebration of her life will be held Wednesday, November 24, 2004, 11:00 a.m. at the Orem Community Church, 130 North 400 East. Friends may call at the Church one hour prior to services. Interment, Orem City Cemetery. Services under the direction of Berg Mortuary of Provo.
