Paulus 1938-2004 George Paulus - Devoted, Loving Husband to Loretta; Beloved Father of Jason Paulus (N.Y.), Tina Ornstein, (N.Y.); Father-in-Law to Alec Ornstein and Gaspar Escobar, Step-Father to Brenda Escobar & Tonya Landon, Grandfather ("Pops") to Avery & Halley Ornstein & Alexandria, Christian & Landon Escobar. He passed away peacefully in the loving arms of his wife and surrounded by his family on Wednesday, November 24. Born in the Bronx, New York, George had an infatuation with the west his entire youth and early adult years. In 1989, he realized his dream of living in the west and moved to Park City, Utah. Here, he was able to live his life to the fullest by living in an environment full of wonderful friends, clean air and beautiful natural surroundings. George founded the Paulus Hair Restoration Center in 1989. He had a genuine love and concern for all of his clients, and the people that worked with him. He was a very generous person, never hesitating to jump in financially to help those in need. Always very athletic, George excelled in gymnastics during his younger years and karate in later years. He loved hiking, biking, and skiing. His love of the outdoors showed in his ability as an avid gardener, using his green thumb to create beautiful landscapes and gardens. He also had tremendous creativity and talent for interior design. He utilized these talents by taking "ugly duckling" homes and turning them into beautiful "swans". George loved adventure, great food, and traveling around the world with his wife. He touched lives everywhere he went, cultivating friends from Canada to Australia. Being young at heart his entire life, he loved people, parties, and dancing. He had a wonderful sense of humor. He was an avid collector of cars, with Jaguars being his favorite. George has a special place in his heart for children and animals. He always had a house full of animals and loved and adored his grandchildren. He approached all obstacles as opportunities, always seeing the glass as half full, rather than half empty. He was a great teacher of how to live life to it's fullest. He was also a teacher to his wife on how to die with courage and integrity. George will be greatly missed by all who knew and love him. George is survived by his wife, Loretta; sons: Jason (NY) and Darin; daughter, Tina Ornstein (NY); sons-in-law, Alec Ornstein (NY), Gaspar Escobar (CA); stepdaughters: Brenda Escobar and Tonya Landon; grandchildren: Avery and Halley Ornstein; Alexandria, Christian, and Landon Escobar; sisters: Debbie Moore and Jeannine Martin; brothers-in-law: Jerry Martin, Ron Moore.
