Josh's life on this earth was short, but will impact our family eternally. Because of the excellent physicians, we were prepared for the likelihood of his passing. We take great comfort in our understanding of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and that Josh now dwells in a better place. More so, there is great peace in the knowledge that we will see him again and that he will be ours. Josh is survived by his parents Vard and Jennifer, and siblings Jessica, Walker, McKay and Hunter. Also, Grandparents Bob & Sharon Johns, Grandma Sheril Bischoff and many aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as Great Grandmas Elizabeth J. Flenniken and Roma Jarvis Wright. He was preceded in death by his grandpa Garth Bischoff, Uncle Newell Bischoff and Aunts Cheryl Bischoff and Katharine Johns. Published in the Daily Herald on 10/27/2004. Bradbury, Starla Rae Our beautiful Mommy, Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Friend, Starla Rae Bradbury, left this mortal existence on 23 Oct. 2004. Results of injuries received in a tragic accident. Starla Rae came to this world on 20 Nov 1965 in Spanish Fork, Utah, the daughter of Paul Hughes and Lorna Christensen Robinson. Starla was a bright ray of sunshine, with the biggest blue eyes that lit up the world around her. She lived her life with Exuberance, Pizzazz, and Class. Starla was educated in Salem and Spanish Fork having graduated Class of 1984. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Was employed by Blackbourne Media Packaging. She married Robert Alan Nelson 29 Mar 1987 in Golden Valley, Minnesota. They have a son Justin Alan. Rob and Starla later divorced. She married Harley W. Bradbury 30 Jul 1994 in Payson, Utah they have a daughter, Carley Rae. She also has very special Step Children; Derrick, Angela, Francis, & Hunter. Starlas greatest joy in life was being a mother, which she did wonderfully. Starla faced life with no fear, always excitement. She loved the outdoors, fishing, camping, horseback riding, reunions and being with family. She kept a beautiful home and yard. She was always worried and concerned for those she loved and full of laughter and love. Starla leaves behind her children: Justin and Carley Rae; Her mother, Lorna Christensen (Evanston, Wyoming); Brothers: Loren (Joan) Robinson, Roosevelt; LaVar Robinson, (South Fork, Colorado) Sisters: Judy (Lamon) Spencer, Payson; Pauline (Rett) Ashby, Provo; Margary (Bruce) Butler, Moroni; Beth (Trent) Orr, West Valley City; 30 Nieces and Nephews, 22 Great Nieces and Nephews, and Numerous Dear Friends. She was preceded in death by her Father and Grandparents, Her Father-In-Law and Mothers-In-Law. Christensen, Patricia Kay Bickmore Anyone who knew Pat was happier because of it. Patricia Kay Bickmore Christensen, 75, passed away October 24, 2004 in Provo, Utah after a long struggle with Alzheimers Disease and Cancer. She was born to John Leroy Bickmore and Lola Fontel Christensen on October 12, 1929 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Her fathers employment as an executive at Mountain Bell had her moving to various Utah towns while growing up, including Richfield, Price, Fillmore and Salt Lake City. She went to Roosevelt Junior High and then on to East High. Graduating from East High at the age of 16, she went on to major in Clothing and Textiles at BYU. There she met her sweetheart, Bruce L. Christensen, and married in the Salt Lake Temple in 1949. They both earned their degrees form BYU in 1950. Pat and Bruce moved to San Diego, CA after graduating. Pat was very active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, holding numerous callings. Pat and Bruce raised four children in their 26 years residing in San Diego. In 1976 the family returned to Provo. Pat involved herself in various civic organizations there, including the Provo City Library Board, was an advocate for Parks and Recreation, and was constantly active in bettering the community. In 1994 Pat and Bruce fulfilled their dream of serving a full time mission for their church. They served in the South Dakota Rapid City Mission where they worked with Native Americans. This was especially rewarding for them after having been foster parents in the Indian Placement Program while in San Diego. Pat was incredibly talented and creative. Learning something new, she was always excited to teach others. She was a talented writer and her beautiful letters to family and friends will continue to be enjoyed and appreciated. Pat loved youth and they loved her and her young spirit. She had a great appreciation for nature and beauty. Pat was known and loved for her enthusiasm. She and her contagious laugh will be missed by everyone. She is preceded in death by her husband Bruce, having just celebrated their 55th anniversary, her parents, and her brother Jack Bickmore. Survived by: two sons, Kent (MaryAnn) of Provo; Brian (Rita) of Springville; two daughters, Becky (Jack) Angus of Provo; and Shelly (Rick) Norton of Ramona, CA; 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff at Courtyard at Jamestown and the Alpine Hospice Care. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 28, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. in the Mojave chapel, 3050 Mojave Lane in Provo. A viewing will precede services from 9:00-10:30 a.m. at the church. She was born December 10, 1963 in LaMesa, California, a daughter of Wesley and Mary Helen Wilson Davis. At the time of her death she was employed at Central Utah Enterprises. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed attending the Regional Special Primary Organization. She graduated from Oakridge School and Seminary in Provo. Jaye was a friend to everyone and will be greatly missed. She is survived by: her parents; a brother, Mark W., his wife Brenda; nieces, Amanda and Amber; a nephew, Daniel and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death, by her grandparents: Lloyd H. and Eleen Wilson; Shirley and Fannie Davis. Services will be Friday, October 29, 2004, 11:00 a.m., at the Walker Mortuary, 587 South 100 West, Payson, where friends may call from 9:45-10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Payson City Cemetery. Montgomery, Nellie Johnson Greensboro, N.C. - Mrs. Nellie Johnson Montgomery, 86, died Monday October 25, 2004 at Britthaven of Guilford. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, October 29, 2004 at Bethel Presbyterian Church Cemetery, with Rev. Scott Daniels officiating. Mrs. Montgomery was born on December 16, 1917 in Guilford County, a daughter of the late Charles and Julia J. Johnson. She was a lifetime member of Bethel Presbyterian Church, retired from Bates Nightwear in 1974 and also worked for Super 10 Department Stores. Survivors include five children, Robert Lee Montgomery and wife Myrtle Mae of Greensboro, Elizabeth Anne Kallam and husband Billy Ray of Stokesdale, Mildred Ethel Haws and husband Drew of Provo, Ut., Richard E. Montgomery and wife Julia of Kernersville and Larry Wayne Montgomery of Evanston, Wy.; a brother Tommy Johnson of Greensboro. 19 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Lee Montgomery, 2 brothers, Lindsay Johnson and Red Johnson and a sister, Lucy Sowers. Peters, James Stanley James Stanley Peters, devoted father, dedicated husband, and loving grandfather, passed away peacefully on October 24th, 2004. He is survived by two children, Jeanne' Peters Triptow (Thomas), and James Stanley Peters (Sarah), siblings Lois Andersen, Millie Leary, Arlene Ganung, Howard, and Paul Peters. He is also survived by four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Mildred Hallsey Peters, brothers and sisters Elmo, Elizabeth, Carl, Jack, Dale Peters and one grandson, Michael James Peters. Stanley was born on November 18th, 1908 and is the son of James E. Peters and Eliza Chipman Peters of Provo, Utah. He served an LDS mission in Florida in 1929. Following his mission, he married Mildred Hallsey on August 15th, 1934 in the Salt Lake Temple. He served in numerous church positions including Bishop and High Councilman and was a dedicated member and priesthood holder of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved the gospel and sharing it with others. He was Assistant Manager to Chipman's Mercantile in American Fork for 18 years when he became Field Representative and later Manager of Utah Livestock PCA in the Salt Lake office retiring at age 65. Following 7 years of retirement, Stanley returned to work as manager of J.R. Broadbent Company retiring a second time at the age of 94. He was also active in civic affairs. Stanley loved to spend time with family and friends and loved to play golf. He is best remembered for his dedication to his children, grandchildren, and his loving wife Mildred. He gave everything his best effort and prided himself on his dedication to his assignments. Stanley will be missed by all that knew him. His life spanned nearly 100 years of history in the greatest of centuries and generations. What a joyous reunion he his now having with his loved ones who have gone before him. The Peters family especially wishes to thank the wonderful staff, employees, and friends at Highland Cove Retirement Center for the special relationship that they had with our Dad and for all of the dedicated friends who visited with him and brought him joy during his stay at the Retirement Center. Priday, Leland Forbes Leland Forbes Priday, beloved husband, father, church and civic leader died 23 Oct 2004 in Provo. He was born in Am Fork, 4 Dec 1914, the only son of Thomas Samuel Jr. and Zina Josephine Forbes Priday. Leland has 5 sisters, Mae (Glenn) Gardner, Vera, Florence (Robert) Simmons, all who have preceded him in death, Chloe (Mark) Weed, and Margaret (William) Sykes. He graduated from Am Fork High School where he served as Student Body President, then BYU where he was Banyan (yearbook) Editor in 1936. On 15 July 1942 he married Thelma Farnsworth of Beaver, UT in the St. George Temple. They have 8 children: Kaye (Lonnie) Nally; Gene (Andrea) Priday; Loralee (Wayne) Miller; Janet (Larry) Peer; Carolyn (Tom) Mildenhall; Tom (Marva) Priday; Brent (Marian) Priday and Bruce (Diane) Priday. They have 43 grandchildren and 58 great-grandchildren. Anna (Normand) Birtcher, Effie (Alfred) Yazzie and Maricruz Noya are foster daughters. Music was a major part of Leland's life. He played in bands and orchestras, directed stake and civic choruses and played many violin solos. He served his country as a Naval Officer during World War II. His civic duties included serving on boards for the Alpine School District, UT County Mental Health, BYU Alumni and BYU Emeritus. He owned and operated Priday's Office Supply in Am Fork for 23 years. A faithful member of the LDS Church, Leland served as President of Alpine and Am Fork North Stakes, President of the Provo Temple (1982-86) and Stake Patriarch. He and his wife served a mission as Director of the Independence Visitors Center. Services 11 am Thurs, 28 Oct 2004 at the Am Fork Central Stake Center, 300 N 100 E. Viewings 6 to 8 pm Wed at Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 E 100 N, Am Fork and Thurs 9:30 - 10:30 am at the church. Interment American Fork Cemetery, VFW Dist 4. Provost, Darrell Ray Darrell Ray Provost, 96, of Paradise, Utah, died at the Sunshine Terrace Care Center, in Logan, on Sunday, October 24, 2004. At the time of his passing Darrell was the oldest member of the Paradise LDS 3rd Ward. He was born July 12, 1908, in Midway, Utah, the son of David E. and Vera Cummings Provost. Darrell also had five sisters, they are: Erma, Ethel, Gwen, Margie and Beva. Darrell worked as a miner in Park City for over 25 years, and at Geneva Steel in Orem for over 20 years, where he retired. In 1929 he married his sweetheart, Lilly LaPreal Cluff in Heber City. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They had a son, Ray Darrell, two daughters, Betty Lou and Maxine Lillie. His wife Lilly passed away in 1966. Darrell later married Beulah Ellison in Provo. She died in 1998. Darrell was always dedicated completely to everything he undertook. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in which he held many callings. He was always pleased that he could serve for many years as an ordinance worker in the Provo LDS Temple. Darrell in survived by his sisters: Erma, Ethel and Beva; daughters: Betty (Douglas) Bowden of Provo, Maxine (Roy) McDonald of Paradise. He also has nine grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren. Everyone who knew him will remember Darrell with love and appreciation. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 30, 2004 2:00 P.M. at Olpin-Hoopes Funeral Home, 288 North Main Street, Heber City. Friends may call on Saturday from 12:45 1:45 P.M. prior to the services at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Midway Cemetery. Sosa, Luis "Louie" "Weige" Our beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, Luis Sosa, returned to his Heavenly Father on October 24, 2004. Luis was given to us on January 25, 1973 in Guadalajara, Mexico. After moving to the United States soon after his birth, he lived in Provo and attended Timpview High School, and received his US Citizenship. Luis had been living a dream of his of owning and operating his own automotive repair shop, J&L Automotive. Luis had had an endless number of friends who we all consider them to be his extended family. We thank his friends for their enormous support. Luis enjoyed fishing, camping; anything outdoors, and spending time with his family and friends. We will remember Luis as a kind, loving, gentle, strong, and selfless man with a contagious smile and laugh. Luis had no trouble making those around him laugh by his sarcasm and wisecracks, or even by just flashing a smile. Luis is survived by his mother Sofia, Father Leonel (and Kathleen) Sosa, his brother Jaime, and his sisters Jolene (and Dominic) Walker, Venetia (and Cesar) Basillo, Marilyn (and Rafael) Esparza, Luz E., and Mana. Luis is also survived by his grandmother Juana Yaya Piedra, his uncle and aunt Noe and Orlyn Arredondo, his cousins Martin Rosales, Eddie and Melqui Arredondo, his nieces and nephews Jasmyn, Aislynn, Michael, Elexiya, Ashley, and Noah whom he loved as his own. We will all miss Luis very much and await the day we meet again. Until then, Louie has gone fishing for a while. We love you Luis. Funeral services will held Friday, October 30, 2004 11:00 A.M. at St Frances Catholic Church, 65 East 500 North, Orem.Friends may call on Thursday from 6:00 8:00 P.M. and on Friday from 10:00 11:45 A.M. prior to the services, both at the Catholic Church.
