Lydia was born February 22, 1925 in Manchester, England to Rosa and Richard Parkinson. She married Russell P. Urie November 6, 1946 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Lydia served in the British Army from 1941 to 1946 and was very proud of her military service. She worked for many years at Larsen's Herb shop. Her greatest treasures were her husband, children and grandchildren. Lydia is survived by her children Rosalind (Joan) Snow of Orem, Russell Scott Urie of Provo and Ranae (Mona) Johnson of Florida; grandchildren J. Russell Delaney, Janalyn Snow, David J. Phillips and Derek M. Phillips; great grand children Brendan M. Delaney, Zoe Rae Delaney and Demi Dru Delaney. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 2, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. in the Timpanogos LDS Chapel, 1505 North 145 East, Orem, Utah. Friends may visit 1 hour prior to the funeral services.
